Fast Food Causes Alzheimer’s Disease, Makes Population Stupid

From: Natural News

What happens when you feed a mouse a nine-month diet of high-fat, high-sugar junk foods? They develop signs of Alzheimer’s disease.

That’s what Swedish researchers discovered in recent findings published by the Karolinska Institutet’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. They were attempting to test the effects of fast food and junk food on individuals with the apoE4 gene variant, which is present in 15 to 20 percent of humans.

Mice with the same gene variant took only nine months on a fast food diet to develop the abnormal brain tangles and chemical changes indicative of Alzheimer’s disease. …

For example, a linguistic analysis of the recent debate between Gov. Sarah Palin and Sen. Joseph Biden revealed that Palin spoke at about a ninth-grade level, while Biden spoke at an eight-grade level.

One hundred and fifty years ago, in 1858, Abraham Lincoln spoke at an eleventh-grade level during his debates against Stephen Douglas. …

In 2008, the American population has become so stupid that the majority of voters can no longer linguistically parse the meanings of complex sentences or even understand the implications of cause and effect. Thus, presidential races come down to popularity contests, short slogans and emotionally-driven rallies that offer nothing substantive to an intelligent voter.

The intelligent candidate for this most recent election, Ron Paul, was too “complicated” for mainstream America because he tried to explain the inner workings of the banking system and the money supply. Too bad he didn’t know the way to win the hearts of the American voter is to speak to their junk-food-poisoned minds at a fifth-grade level. …

The Romans inadvertently poisoned their people with lead. The American empire, in contrast, is poisoning its own people with processed foods, pharmaceuticals, vaccines and poisonous chemicals in personal care products. The Romans, at least, ate a Mediterranean diet….

Ron Paul: How We Bully the World — “You do it our way & we’ll give you money. If you don’t do it our way we’ll bomb ya”

Transcribed by Jeff Fenske from Ron Paul’s Russia Today interview

“We have set the stage for people to be motivated to despise what we’re doing, because we’re always telling other people what to do.

We do one of two things. We either say: ‘you do it our way and we’ll give you money. If you don’t do it our way we’ll bomb ya.’

I would tell him [President Obama]: reject those two. Be friends with people. Talk to people. Have negotiations and diplomacy.”

Texas Congressman Ron Paul has warned that international forces are planning the creation of a global central bank that will see a new fiat monetary system come to dominate the world economy.

The 2008 presidential candidate also warned that Barack Obama’s administration will only represent a change in faces and not in policies.

War veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan came to Capitol Hill earlier this year to testify before Congress and give an eyewitness account about the horrors of war. Like the Winter Soldier hearings in March, when more than 200 service members gathered for four days in Silver Spring, Maryland to give their eyewitness accounts of the injustices occurring in Iraq and Afghanistan, “Winter Soldier on the Hill” was designed to drive home the human cost of the war and occupation—this time, to the very people in charge of doing something about it. […]

SERGIO KOCHERGIN: […] One other responsibility we had in al-Najaf was to guard an ammunition supply point about thirty miles northeast from our base. Our job consisted of patrolling ASB, and when we came into contact with Iraqis stealing stuff, we would take a physical action and to make sure they would never come back. We would shoot their tires out or shoot their windows, putting them on their knees like we’re about to execute them and just shoot in the air and laugh and yell at them and tell them that the next time will be worse. Our orders directly from command was to roughen up all the guys up. They would always tell us that everybody is an enemy and that we can’t trust them and the only way to keep them in place is to put as much fear as possible and to let them know that we’re not playing around. During the deployment in al-Najaf, nothing was fixed or intended on being fixed at all, except keeping the city in the occupied hands and instill the fear into the people at every chance we got.

My second deployment was in the city of Husaybah in Al Anbar province in Al Qaim region on the Syrian border. First thing I want to talk about is the drop weapons. Drop weapons are the weapons that are given to us by our chain of command in case we kill somebody without any weapons, and so that we would not get into trouble. We would carry an AK-47, and if the person that was shot did not have the weapon, an AK-47 would be placed at his corpse, and when the unit would come back to the base, they would turn it in to identify the shot man as the enemy combatant. The weapons could not come from anywhere else but the higher chain of command, because after the raid, all weapons were turned in into the armory and should have been recorded.

Two months into deployment, our rules of engagement changed to a personnel with having a bag and a shovel at the intersection or on the roads, that they were suspicious. This gave us a bigger window on who we can engage. Looking at the situation, this point of view, a lot of enemy combatants that we shot were in the wrong place at the wrong time. We were tired, mad, angry,

Secret Citibank Memo: ‘Inflation Shock,’ Depression and/or Civil Disorder Coming in 2009/10

From: Natural News

An internal memo from a top Citibank analyst reveals what the banks really think about the global financial situation, and the outlook is grim.

“The world is not going back to normal after the magnitude of what they have done. When the dust settles this will either work, and the money they have pushed into the system will feed through into an inflation shock,” wrote Tom Fitzpatrick, Citibank’s chief technical strategist.

He goes on to explain that the massive money creation efforts by the Federal Reserve and other central banks will end with one of two things: A resurgence of inflation, or a fall into “depression, civil disorder and possibly wars.” Either outcome, he says, will cause the price of gold to skyrocket. Gold will push to well over $2,000 per ounce, he explains.

The timing on all this? Sometime in either 2009 or 2010, said the analyst.

Dr. Stanley Monteith interviews Lindsey for an hour during the second half of this broadcast.

Dr. Stan has three newsletters now posted of whom Lindsey’s recent story is expained:

October 2008 – The Oil Deception: Part III
September 2008 – The Oil Deception: Part II
August 2008 – The Oil Deception

The first hour is also interesting. Among other subjects, Dr. Stan discusses the likely non-lethal injection of Timothy McVeigh, in which it was noted he was still breathing afterward. See Tim McVeigh still alive.

As a physician, keeping close watch on the commercial news, I KNEW for a fact, they had no intention of executing Tim McVeigh, for reasons I will soon disclose.

Tim McVeigh was not a disgruntled member of some rag-tag militia. He worked for the CIA. But this was a false flag operation, meaning a purposeful disaster planned against a government’s own citizens, in this case the U.S. government against U.S. citizens, to frighten the people, to get them to surrender their rights willingly, and to further the government’s goals of increased control. Primarily, it was done by the U.S. Government in order to get the Anti-Terrorist legislation passed – which, indeed, DID happen within weeks of the Oklahoma [City] bombing.

Dr. Stan pointed out that the psychiatrist named Dr. Louis Jollyon West, often referred to as ‘Jolly’ West, had visited Timothy many times, and that Jolly was deeply involved in pushing the false memory syndrome concept to discredit the mind-control-slaves’ testimonies.

Eisenhower’s Farewell Warning to America: The Military Industrial Complex Speech — “avoid becoming a community of dreadful FEAR and HATE”

Eisenhower’s Farewell Address to the Nation
January 17, 1961

2-minute excerpt — full version below

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8y06NSBBRtY]

The farewell speech of U.S.A. President, Dwight Eisenhower. Given on 17 January 1961 and televised in the U.S.A. (emphasis mine) source

Good evening, my fellow Americans.

First, I should like to express my gratitude to the radio and television networks for the opportunities they have given me over the years to bring reports and messages to our nation. My special thanks go to them for the opportunity of addressing you this evening.

Three days from now, after a half century in the service of our country, I shall lay down the responsibilities of office as, in traditional and solemn ceremony, the authority of the Presidency is vested in my successor.

This evening I come to you with a message of leave-taking and farewell, and to share a few final thoughts with you, my countrymen. Like every other citizen, I wish the new President, and all who will labor with him, Godspeed. I pray that the coming years will be blessed with peace and prosperity for all.

Our people expect their President and the Congress to find essential agreement on issues of great moment, the wise resolution of which will better shape the future of the nation. My own relations with the Congress, which began on a remote and tenuous basis when, long ago, a member of the Senate appointed me to West Point, have since ranged to the intimate during the war and immediate post-war period, and finally to the mutually interdependent during these past eight years. In this final relationship, the Congress and the Administration have, on most vital issues, cooperated well, to serve the nation good, rather than mere partisanship, and so have assured that the business of the nation should go forward. So, my official relationship with Congress ends in a feeling — on my part — of gratitude that we have been able to do so much together.

We now stand ten years past the midpoint of a century that has witnessed four major wars among great nations. Three of these involved our own country. Despite these holocausts, America is today the strongest, the most influential, and most productive nation in the world. Understandably proud of this pre-eminence, we yet realize that America’s leadership and prestige depend, not merely upon our unmatched material progress, riches and military strength, but on how we use our power in the interests of world peace and human betterment.

Throughout America’s adventure in free government, our basic purposes have been to keep the peace, to foster progress in human achievement, and to enhance liberty, dignity and integrity among peoples and among nations. To strive for less would be unworthy of a free and religious people. Any failure traceable to arrogance or our lack of comprehension or readiness to sacrifice would inflict upon us grievous hurt, both at home and abroad.

Global Warming Deceit: Blogger Again Finds Error in NASA Climate Data

From: Daily Tech

NASA’S Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) is one of the world’s primary sources for climate data. GISS issues regular updates on world temperatures based on their analysis of temperature readings from thousands of monitoring stations over the globe.

GISS’ most recent data release originally reported last October as being extraordinarily warm– a full 0.78C above normal. This would have made it the warmest October on record; a huge increase over the previous month’s data.

Those results set off alarm bells with Steve McIntyre and his gang of Baker Street irregulars at Climateaudit.org. They noted that NASA’s data didn’t agree at all with the satellite temperature record, which showed October to be very mild, continuing the same trend of slight cooling that has persisted since 1998. So they dug a little deeper.

McIntyre, the same man who found errors last year in GISS’s US temperature record, quickly noted that most of the temperature increase was coming from Russia. A chart of world temperatures showed that in October, most of Russia, the largest nation on Earth, was not only registering hot, but literally off the scale. Yet anecdotal reports were suggesting that worldwide, October was actually slightly colder than normal.

Paulson was Behind Bailout Martial Law Threat to Congress

From: Prison Planet

Senator James Inhofe has revealed that Henry Paulson was behind the threats of martial law and a new great depression prior to the passage of the bailout bill, having made such warnings during a conference call on September 19th, around two weeks before the legislation was eventually approved by both the Senate and Congress.

As we reported at the time, on October 2, Democratic Congressman Brad Sherman gave a stunning speech on the House floor during which he decried the fact that, “Many of us were told in private conversations that if we voted against this bill on Monday that the sky would fall, the market would drop two or three thousand points the first day, another couple of thousand the second day, and a few members were even told that there would be martial law in America if we voted no.”

A few days before, Rep. Michael Burgess also told the House, “Mr. Speaker I understand we are under Martial Law as declared by the speaker last night,” referring to a temporary suspension of the rules and procedures of Congress by its leaders so that a bill can be passed quickly.

But the origin of the most dire warnings about physical martial law in America, to which Sherman was likely referring, has now been exposed.

Speaking on Tulsa Oklahoma’s 1170 KFAQ, when asked who was behind threats of martial law and civil unrest if the bailout bill failed, Senator James Inhofe named Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson as the source.

“Somebody in D.C. was feeding you guys quite a story prior to the bailout, a story that if we didn’t do this we were going to see something on the scale of the depression, there were people talking about martial law being instituted, civil unrest….who was feeding you guys this stuff?,” asked host Pat Campbell.

“That’s Henry Paulson,” responded Inhofe, “We had a conference call early on, it was on a Friday I think – a week and half before the vote on Oct. 1. So it would have been the middle … what was it – the 19th of September, we had a conference call. In this conference call – and I guess there’s no reason for me not to repeat what he said, but he said – he painted this picture you just described. He said, ‘This is serious. This is the most serious thing that we faced.’”

Inhofe said that Paulson told members of Congress the crisis would be “far worse than the great depression” if Congress didn’t authorize the bill to buy out toxic debt, a proposal “which he abandoned the day after he got the money,” added Inhofe.

Obama Surrounding Himself with Hawks — War Machine Continues as Ron Paul Predicted — All War All the Time

From: Democracy Now! Agents of Change or Hawks, Clintonites and Neocons? A Discussion about Barack Obama’s Advisers

JEREMY SCAHILL: …what I’ve looked at in depth is the foreign policy team that surrounds Barack Obama. These are people that are on the transition team or are foreign policy advisers or already have been named to the cabinet or very well may get cabinet positions.

…what’s important to remember is what 1990s foreign policy looked like, because while Barack Obama campaigned on a pledge to bring change, if you actually analyze US foreign policy from George H.W. Bush through Bill Clinton to George W. Bush, there are great consistencies.

I mean, Bill Clinton’s policies, his foreign policies in the 1990s, really laid the groundwork for much of what President Bush did when he was in office. You had the Iraq Liberation Act, which was passed in 1998, which was the result of a collusion between neoliberal Democrats, neoconservative Republicans. That made regime change in Iraq mandatory. Clinton mercilessly punished the people of Iraq through economic sanctions, the longest sustained bombing campaign since Vietnam. They dismantled Yugoslavia, bombed it. They implemented policies such as the Rambouillet Accord against Milosevic, that was essentially a setup to take away Yugoslavia’s sovereignty, very similar to what Bush did in the lead-up to the Iraq invasion. Clinton hit Sudan. He hit Afghanistan. His free trade globalization policies devastated economies around the world and working people.

And what I point out in my piece is that many of the architects of those policies in the 1990s were not only people who supported the Iraq war in the lead-up and promoted the myth that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, but they are now at the center of the Obama foreign policy team.

I mean, from the jump, you had Joe Biden. His selection as the vice-presidential candidate was a clear indication that the old guard Democrats were going to be securely embedded in the Obama White House. You know, Biden is—I think one of the experiences in Biden’s life bears particular mention, and that is that Biden was the chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the summer of 2002, when the Iraq war was being debated. Joe Biden was the man in charge of framing the so-called debate, and he refused to call two witnesses, in particular, who would have thoroughly debunked all of the lies that were being told. One is the former chief UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter. The other is the former head of the UN program in Iraq, Hans von Sponeck. Now, I was with von Sponeck at that time, and we were pressing Biden’s committee to call him to testify. The reason we wanted von Sponeck there is because he had just come back from the north of Iraq and had observed Ansar al-Islam guerrillas, the so-called al-Qaeda presence in Iraq, and would have testified that in fact they were not being trained by Saddam’s government, that they were receiving no assistance, that in fact they were fighting Saddam’s government and were operating from the US-enforced safe haven of northern Iraq, or Iraqi Kurdistan.

Desmond Tutu: What If America Would Say “I’m Sorry” to Iraq?

From: Democracy Now!

AMY GOODMAN: President-elect Obama supports an end to the war in Iraq but a surge of soldiers in Afghanistan. What are your words of wisdom to him?

ARCHBISHOP DESMOND TUTU: Well, I say that obviously it’s to end the war—yeah?—to end the occupation, to—but I’ve also said it would wonderful if, on behalf of the American people, he were to apologize to the Iraqis and to the rest of the world for an invasion that was based on lies. You know, saying “I’m sorry,” that’s a very powerful phrase in human relationships. The current prime minister of Australia, one of the very first things he did was to apologize to the Aborigines. And it’s amazing what those words, some of the most difficult words in any language, how powerful they are in changing. That’s what I’ve said.

And one would hope, too, that, you know, they see that war hardly ever resolves problems. You just have an exacerbation. I mean, look at Iraq. I mean, and when you think—we don’t speak about the casualties that have been suffered by them. I mean, they are spoken of as “collateral damage.” I think it’s an obscenity, really. But the damage that has been done to infrastructure, the insecurity that has people living, not sure from one moment to the next whether they will be alive—and say, if the money, all the funds that were expended so disastrously, had been used for building up, I mean, you can imagine. You can imagine what it would have been like.

And some, maybe a few people in this country, have said it was as it was with Mandela—Mandela moment. It’s a moment when especially people of color have a new spring in their step. They can walk a great deal taller than they used to. And that even though this country, the United States, experiences very considerable racism—I mean, people being dragged to their deaths behind trucks—yet, it’s a country that, in fact, has had this extraordinary experience, and it’s something that has filled people with hope that the world can be a better place.

Palin: ‘Mean-spirited,’ Africa-a-Country Allegation Probably from McCain Aides Who Prepped Her

From: Sky News

Sarah Palin has fired back at claims by insiders of her own Republican party that she thought Africa was a country not a continent, calling them “jerks”.

The Alaska governor, Mr McCain’s running mate in their unsuccessful White House campaign, told CNN the allegation was “not true”.

The leak was reportedly made by unidentified aides to Republican presidential candidate Mr McCain, trying to blame her for the crushing election defeat.

The anonymous sources claimed Mrs Palin did not know Africa was a continent and could not name the three countries in NAFTA – the United States, Canada and Mexico, according to Fox News.

Mrs Palin said the post-election slur could have come from people who helped her prepare for her debate against Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden.

The New World Order: The Final Showdown for America

From: MND

“Permit me to issue a nation’s money, and I care not who makes its laws.” –Meyer Anshelm Rothchild ~1780

Thomas Jefferson cautioned, “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks … will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.” Similarly, James Madison said, “History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and its issuance.” Despite these warnings, the unthinkable happened.

On December 23, 1913, after Congress went home for Christmas, private bankers through craft, intrigue and deceit. indeed grasped control of the nation’s currency, and thereby predestined the total collapse of America. Congress was told that the Federal Reserve Act would not be taken up until Congress returned after Christmas. As soon as the opposition left, those few congressmen, privy and complicit with the bankers’ plans, stealthily brought the FRA to the floor (without a quorum) and quickly “passed” it. They then sent it posthaste in the middle of the night via a confidant of President Woodrow Wilson, who, having not read it, asked, “Is this a good bill?” Upon his friend affirming it was, the President signed it. After President Wilson realized the impact of what he had signed, he said, “I am a miserable man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. … The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men.”

Today, the Federal Reserve Board controlling our nation’s “money” is 76% foreign owned by private interests. They have no allegiance whatsoever to America, as they think only in global profit$, nothing else! America is now controlled by a few very extremely wealthy globalists.

In the book Blueprint for Victory, we are told the bankers long ago planned our demise. Their plan is to gently lower your living standard, while juggling figures and presenting lying reports that “better days are coming,” “prosperity is around the corner,” “the economy is growing,” and “unemployment is down,” when the truth is just the opposite.

An Incredibly Repeatable Song: “Breath In”

On occasion, I check out photographers’ sites to get ideas for what can be done with a camera.

I stumbled on this site, and what kept me from not wanting to move on was the incredible song that repeats. I looked up the lyrics, and it’s called “Breath In,” from the duo, Frou Frou, of whom Imogen Heap was the singer.

For the ultimate “Breath In” experience, I recommend John’s “Other” gallery. Visit the site; click ‘Galleries,’ then ‘Other,’ drag the edges of your browser’s window to completely fill the monitor, and leave it on for awhile. It’s definitely better in (((stereo))).

I actually enjoyed the mystery of it a bit more before I read the lyrics. It’s specifically about the anticipation of a relationship happening. But it could also be about ONE happening (the church becoming ONE with each other in Christ — John 17, finally!) — what I talk about so much at my spiritual site: OneCanHappen.

“Is this it?” (a line from the song). As the world goes down we can go up!

“Breath In” is a danceable joy to behold!
