On Gay Priests, Pope Francis Asks, ‘Who Am I to Judge?’
ROME — For generations, homosexuality has largely been a taboo topic for the Vatican, ignored altogether or treated as “an intrinsic moral evil,” in the words of the previous pope.
In that context, brief remarks by Pope Francis suggesting that he would not judge priests for their sexual orientation, made aboard the papal airplane on the way back from his first foreign trip, to Brazil, resonated through the church. Never veering from church doctrine opposing homosexuality, Francis did strike a more compassionate tone than that of his predecessors, some of whom had largely avoided even saying the more colloquial “gay.”
“If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?” Francis told reporters, speaking in Italian but using the English word “gay.”

You are aware that, if we’re being strictly biblical, then you are not only anti-gay but you support actually KILLING people who are gay? This is supported in the bible and I’m sure that if you are a bible-reader then you are aware of this.
So, do you approve of putting all gays to death?
And if you do, do you also approve putting unruly and disobedient children to death? Another biblical law.
The fact is that the bible contradicts itself in many areas. On the one hand, Jesus preached “Love the lord with thy whole heart, and LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF”
Yet in the old testament, God condoned absolutely heartless and vicious mass murder and rape.
If you’re going to follow the bible, and you consider it to be the absolutely infallible word of God, then I’m wondering why you aren’t out killing gay people right now?
It is just absurd how there are horrors and injustices going on in this world that are MANY THOUSANDS of times worse than a guy deciding to sleep with another guy in the privacy of their home. And yet, what is the issue that every christian decides to focus on?

I do NOT support killing or hating any people group. God commands us to love everyone as much as we love ourselves, no exceptions.
We are living in the new covenant, not the Old Testament.

If we are living in the “new covenant”, as you say, then why are you trotting out anti-gay sentiments which are only supported in the old testament?

I am pro-gay people, and you can see this for yourself by how I write on the subject at my spiritual blog, linked near the top of the right hand column of this site, and do a word search on “homosexual.”
The New Testament clearly states that both heterosexual and homosexual lust are damning sins.
Also, I believe that willfully sinning evangelicals are the main reason for the fall of America. They’re supposed to be salt and light, and they’re not.
The Catholic church has been so compromised by Satan that I don’t see any hope for it; though, many of the members can come out from it to be clean.
