Thank you, Tom, for speaking up for this genteel public servant who has of late captured my imagination – ironically in so being aroused deep down by his forthright reporting, and seeing him for the honest person of and for the people, I also discovered you… a mentor of a very distinguished character and intellect that cuts through all the dishonesty even the most conservative seem to practice these days. I have come to know the man in a clearer light and appreciate the enormous pressures he must daily encounter as he postulates those things he knows and stands accused of being unlearned on – such as foreign policy…. after reading your further data on his true position I fully appreciate him all the more…. because in fact he has modeled his beliefs after the indelible words of wisdom gleaned from our founders… they pronounced mingling in foreign affairs would do nothing to promote us as a nation and most probably would exacerbate all our woes should we proceed on a course of intervention in international events.
Anyway, there is the opening to what I hope becomes a mutual discourse in dialog between the two of us. I will try not to bore you with my limited knowledge of the many areas both you and Ron seem so prolifically attenuated to. I thoroughly enjoy reading your thoughts and hope one day to read all of your published works.
