Officials from the US and Israel confirm that the ‘Stuxnet’ computer virus used in cyber attacks against Iran’s nuclear program was created by the US and Israel. The US also has ambushed computers in other countries but denies involvement in the latest virus called ‘Flame’. [Virus attacks by one government against the infrastructure of another government are acts of war and can be expected to trigger counterattacks. The US probably is the most vulnerable of any nation to cyber warfare because of its almost total dependence on computer technology.
