US: Congressman Issa (leader of the Oversight Committee) blasts BP Oil and Obama for blocking efforts to clean up the oil spill. [It is now clear that the agenda of those at the top is, not to control or clean up the oil spill, but to make it as bad as possible. Why? Because the crisis is useful to justify more government power over the environment and a ban on drilling. More power over the environment means higher taxes, economic hardship, and less personal freedom. Less drilling means less oil, higher prices, and more profit for less production.] WS Journal 2010 Jul 2 (Cached)

Report from the UN calls for scrapping the U.S. Dollar as the world reserve currency. [Almost everyone is in favor of that, but now the debate begins about what will replace it. There will be much discussion about letting the free market decide based on free choice, but we can safely predict that, ultimately, the collectivists who dominate the UN will prevail with a global currency based on something called SDRs (Special Drawing Rights) administered by the IMF. This will be no different than the U.S. Dollar inasmuch as it will have no backing, and the amount that can be issued will be limited only by the imagination and political expediency of politicians and bankers. Inflation will continue and probably accelerate. Yet, the whole process will be called monetary “reform.”]

WHEN ARE LAWS “UNLAWFUL”?
Posted 2010 June 30 from Christina Sophia
Dear Ed,
I recently watched your lecture on the Quigley Formula (not sure where I got it now) and was very impressed at how you summarized and put such a big subject so succinctly into one hour. While I am familiar with this topic in general from your book, some of the details you explained concerning the history of Cecil Rhodes, the round table groups and the lists of people and organizations associated with all this today (though not surprising) was very eye-opening! I commend you on your great knowledge and skill in educating the masses (hopefully more and more masses) on the history of governments, central banks and the ‘trend toward collectivism’. I appreciate you for your
very clear thinking and thoughtful answers pertaining to these subjects.

There was however, one thing in your lecture that I could not agree with as you discussed the three elements that make acts a conspiracy: The third element you mentioned was that the activity is not be lawful or legal. Then you stated that usually the conspirators of today are acting lawfully. Well, we know that the federal reserve act was not exactly passed “lawfully”, that it was run through Congress and snuck in when the people had already previously rejected it; we know that many bills are put into law this same way today; & many of us today are aware that our election process has lost its integrity – so I think we can fairly say that the NWO conspirators are acting outside
the law in many ways. (More)

IS ALL THE VIRTUE ON ONE SIDE?
2010 Jun 26 from Mohamed Yousuf
Dear Mr. Griffin
I find your response to Mr. Laszlo most ridiculous and shows that you are taking one side but you don’t want to appear doing so. Have you ever visited the area? I suggest you do, to see how the Palestinians live; not only in Gaza, not in the west bank, by the way these two areas (representing 22% of the whole of the original Palestine) but in Israel proper. You sound so shamefully ignorant when you talk about “the sad conflict between Palestine and Israel”. Have you seen “Palestine” on the map? Have you ever seen what is left of the 22%; by the way should been established on 50% of the original Palestine. I am really disappointed to that you cannot filter a single truth over this conflict that has been going on for 60 years.
Regards
A disappointed Arab

GEG’S REPLY:
Hello Mohamed.
Please do not misunderstand our position on this issue. We have already stated clearly that we do not think the Israeli claim to Gaza or any part of Palestine is justified and we think that the Israeli government has waged a propaganda war against its own people and the world to gain support for its actions. Furthermore, we are repelled by the covert ties between the Israeli and U.S. governments and their joint pursuit of global government based on the model of collectivism. But that does not make us partisans in a war to topple the state of Israel.

News stories coming from that part of the world are almost always loaded with emotional spin to throw public sympathy one way or the other. Our job at Unfiltered News is, as the name suggests, to unfilter the spin and present the facts; and that is hard to do when passionate advocates on both sides of the conflict feel free to distort the facts to generate hatred of their enemies, feeling that their cause is just and the end justifies the means.

We understand your indignation over the military occupation of Palestine, but we are not participants in this conflict (we have more than enough evil to combat in our own part of the world). We must continue to report events as accurately as we can, regardless of which side it favors. If it can be shown that we have made any errors of fact in our recent stories about the Israel attack on the Gaza flotilla, please send us documentation and first-person testimony to the contrary so we can share it with our readers.

► MOHAMMED RESPONDS:
2010 Jun 29 from Mohamed Yousuf
Thank you Mr. Griffin for your detailed response, and please accept my apology for the harsh language of my message. I must add that your message has restored my confidence in you. This is very important since I have been one of your “fans” for many years. As to Israel and America, I am afraid that the politics of your country has gone 100% Zionist. Your senate which is 99% pro Israel (more than the Israeli Knesset), plus a VP who is running around proudly announcing that he is a Zionist is something to consider when you are “combating evil in your part of the world”. You see, Mr. Griffin, politics is the art of bargaining. I am sure if you study the voting history in the Senate (both houses) you will see the Israeli factor influencing the local politics of the USA. Take for example Obama health care bill which I understand you do not approve. Do you know it was passed by the senate on the condition that the president does not press the Israeli government to stop building or expanding settlement in the West Bank. I am not sure how true this is but I heard it from one commentator from the USA. You see, Mr. Griffin the evil in your part of the world stretches all the way to the Middle East. The only consolation I have is that there are many good people in America. God bless you and keep up the good work.

REPUBLICS VS. DEMOCRACIES
2010 Jun 24 from James S.
Mr. Griffin,
In recent times, as you know, we are being programmed to believe that we are a “democracy” from the media, academia, power centers, attorneys, judges, politicians, etc. I cringe when I hear the “d” word. This ignorance must be cured with knowledge thus, I have created a venn diagram of the similarities and contrasts between a republic and a democracy. We must educate everybody that we are a republic, not a democracy. No credit to be given. I have already e-mailed this to family and friends, and I would like it to be available to other Unfiltered News readers as well. Perhaps they can spread it, too.

GEG’S REPLY:
James, we will be happy to publish your comprehensive chard. Unfortunately, America now HAS BECOME a democracy, although it used to be and was intended to be a republic. We can never restore the republic until more people know the difference, so your analysis is very important and timely.

I ASK GEN. PETREAUS ABOUT DOUGLAS MACARTHUR AND WAR WITHOUT VICTORY
2010 Jun 23 from Rich Clarke
Even though this event happened months ago I thought that posting this video now would be very fitting with current events. I read a Yahoo! article that said in reference to Gen. McChrystal:

President Barack Obama rebuked his Afghanistan war commander for “poor judgment” Tuesday and considered whether to fire him in the most extraordinary airing of military-civilian tensions since Harry Truman stripped Gen. Douglas MacArthur of his command a half-century ago.

The circumstances were quite different 50 years ago. MacArthur’s removal from Korea had much more to do with his misgivings about the precedents being set in Korea. He viewed the conflict as laying the groundwork for perpetual war. His open opposition to the open war on world communism with no end in sight led to Truman’s rebuke. In a famed commencement address delivered by MacArthur at West Point very near to his death he repeated the most fundamental duty of a soldier in a phrase which resonates in the halls of reason and truth. “In war, there is no substitute for victory”
So when General Petraeus stopped by the theater where I work at Georgia Tech I met him and assisted in donning his lavaliere microphones. As the event progressed forward I became disgusted by the gimme questions the panel and then subsequently the students at Georgia Tech were asking him. He had a power point slide show for many of the questions. So I went out into the audience and decided to ask a pertinent question to a man who is the very model of what I would call a “proponent for perpetual war”. In the video clip below you’ll hear me ask about MacArthur’s doctrine and how we can reconcile it with our military today. In about 5-10 mins Petraeus proceeds to, in a word, say that MacArthur is irrelevant, a dinosaur. I’ll equipped to fight a terror network etc. and in doing so admitted that in this war VICTORY is not only undefinable, but that is it is not even on the table… and that’s fine. At one point he even says point blank “I don’t even like to use terms like victory or defeat.” Sad part is that I’m sure that to 99% of the people there his explanation made complete sense and was completely justifiable. I must ask myself who has changed the rules of war? Was it fone by Us or our aggressors? Are we playing by their rules or are they playing by ours in this new victory-less age?

HOW TO WIN ELECTIONS OUTSIDE THE 2-PARTY SYSTEM
2010 Jun 21 from Mike Benoit
How do we bust out of the matrix when it comes to the idea that a libertarian or independent can’t win? Did you know that an elephant from infancy is trained with a chain on one leg tethered to a pole? The elephant learns that it can’t break the chain. Once the elephant’s mind is programmed that it can’t break the chain the chain is replaced with a rope, The elephant could set itself free, but it doesn’t because it is now programmed.

I am running for Congress in the 52 Congressional District. Here is how I plan to win. I have selected the city of Santee, which represents 10 percent of the district’s population to begin with. I am sure you will agree that if we walked just one street repeatedly we could gather enough votes to win that street. Well that is the plan for Santee, until we get over 33 percent of the vote. Once we have demonstrated that we can break the rope (the perception that we can’t win) then we will progress out to the rest of the district.

Will you help us in this endeavor? Can you imagine if we were able to get help from around the country? We can win by a concentration of effort from 435 districts into 1/10 of one district.

Our Campaign has produced a video, which we are handing out to possible voters. Signs have been posted in over 30 businesses and magnetic signs on over 50 vehicles. We can win this, if we get enough help.

We are the champions of the Constitution and of Liberty. For opportunities on how to help, contact us, at mblibertarian7@earthlink.net or call 619-885-1378. Thanks.
