Biden Press Sec. Blames Coal & Natural Gas For Texas Power Grid Failure: But frozen and inoperative wind turbines are also down and represent 13% of the Texas power grid. In truth, all forms of power in the Texas grid are at fault for not preparing for a sub zero event. Nuclear plant water pipes froze, coal stockpiles froze and couldn’t be fed into conveyor belts and natural gas pumps failed with the rolling blackouts and reduced gas supplies. Everyone is to blame. Nobody in the establishment was prepared.
