Gov. Kristi Noem does the right thing for women’s sports — reversing her earlier position!

Gov. Kristi Noem has redeemed herself in the eyes of some conservatives who had been critical of her for rebuffing legislation earlier this year banning biological males from women’s sports. The governor released draft text legislation Tuesday that would codify her executive orders mandating that only biological female athletes can participate on sports teams designated for girls or women. The legislation defines “biological sex” as “the sex listed on the student’s official birth certificate issued at or near the time of the athlete’s birth.”
