I don’t necessarily agree with all of this, but some interesting ideas.
I wrote these comments:

I don’t think Saudi helicopters were used either, but military helicopters can shoot and hit people from 1 mile away. The US did it during the attack on Panama to take out Noriega, using .50 cal., if I remember correctly, probably gyro stabilized.

The astroturf likely kept many more from being injured, because when the bullets hit the turf, it likely kept the bullets from ricocheting and hitting people.

At 18:27, all of those dark, rectangular marks on the ground where the astroturf was are markings that the FBI had written, indicating evidence, such as bullet holes, blood, etc.. They cleanup video shows the FBI covering their markings with paint.
