BOSTON MARATHON BOMBING CRIES OUT FOR ANSWERS
Even though the government has honed in on two brothers of Chechen origin, one of which is now dead in a shootout with police, it is too early to tell who the government is going to ultimately blame for this latest terror attack on innocent civilians. Not a few media pundits have been quick to cast suspicions on domestic terrorism from right wing Americans—at the same time failing to acknowledge that the American Right has never had anything to gain by attacking innocent civilians. These two suspects will now add significant intrigue to the story, being from the disputed and war-torn area south of Russia which has been the source of both Islamic terror and Russian false flag terror blamed on the Chechens. There is no shortage of suspicious activity and interesting evidence in this unfolding drama.
There were a lot mistakes in reporting as this story unfolded. The big story right after the explosions was that of numerous other unexploded bombs found around the marathon route. None of these turned out to be bombs, but rather the police picking up all the stray packages or backpacks left behind and treating them as if they were bombs. As Reuters said,
Dispelling earlier reports of as many as seven devices being found around Boston, Gene Marquez, assistant special agent in charge for the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, said authorities had determined that the only bombs deployed in the attack were the two that detonated shortly before 3 p.m. ET on Monday.
Any unexploded device might have provided a clearer picture of what materials were used and how the bomb was assembled, furnishing leads in the case, but it was not to be. There were also reports from CNN and other news agencies that the police had someone in custody, but those reports had to be retracted after police denials.
False Claims: There was a posting to the internet of a false conspiracy claiming that a previous episode of The Family Guy had shown a guy sitting at a table triggering bombs to go off at the Boston Marathon by using his cell phone. In reality it was someone cutting and pasting excerpts from the TV show to make it look like foreknowledge of the current disaster.
Someone even tried to merge another bogus conspiracy claim (that the Sandy Hook school shooting never took place) into the Boston Marathon tragedy by posting an old photo of the principal with a new banner placing her at the Marathon. It was photoshoped. http://wafflesatnoon.com/2013/04/17/sandy-hook-boston-marathon-victim/
There was another one where someone posted a rant by Bill Cosby saying how tired he was of all the things government is doing. Trouble is, Cosby never wrote it. It was all falsely attributed to him, and yet it got passed around the internet to millions.
It is very disturbing that there are so many professional disinformation artists out there on the internet spending time to create false images and fake claims aimed at conservatives who believe in conspiracy—to make them look stupid when they are debunked. So, whenever some claim seems too-good-to-be-true, beware about passing it on unless you check it out first.
There is another false theory making the rounds in the wake of the Texas Fertilizer Plant explosion—a video where someone thinks a missile comes in from the left just before the plant explodes. See it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDP8pRRsh1s&feature=endscreen However, it is not a missile. Missiles don’t have that big of a flame signature coming in—not even close. What I believe we are seeing is the explosion beginning on the rail line (Ammonium Nitrate is stored in rail cars) behind the factory fire. The explosion starts left to right behind the smoke, and you see only the light flash bursting out from the left of the smoke and then progressing back to the right—giving the impression of left to right movement. I don’t think this video is mischief, just people jumping to the wrong conclusion.
Here are the current issues of legitimate controversy in this Marathon investigation:
1) Were Boston Police running a bomb exercise during the marathon race? The City of Boston says “no” but witnesses say there were bomb sniffing dogs at both the start and finish lines and cops were seen manning rooftops of buildings. This is an important issue, because an exercise allows for the planting of practice or “fake” bombs—supposedly as part of the exercise—that may turn out to be real bombs, as I explain later. The local TV station-15 ran this interview which clearly contradicts the official denial by city officials:
University of Mobile’s Cross Country Coach, who was near the finish line of the Boston Marathon when a series of explosions went off, said he thought it was odd there were bomb sniffing dogs at the start and finish lines. “They kept making announcements to the participants do not worry, it’s just a training exercise.”
[Alastair] Stevenson said he saw law enforcement spotters on the roofs at the start of the race. He’s been in plenty of marathons in Chicago, D.C., London and other major metropolitan areas but has never seen that level of security before. “Evidently, I don’t believe they were just having a training exercise,” Stevenson said. “I think they must have had some sort of threat or suspicion called in.”
So, there is at least one credible witness to the word “exercise” heard from the police themselves. I don’t understand why the reluctance to admit to running an exercise, unless the placing of a fake bomb for “training purposes” turned out to be the real thing, and police don’t want that connection being made. There was a similar reluctance on the part of the federal government to admit they were running a simulation of hijacked aircraft targeting the White House on September 11th—which raised no few suspicions about government foreknowledge of that tragedy.
2) Did anyone receive warnings in the Marathon about an upcoming attack? CNN, the perennial mouthpiece of government, reports a state government official said there were no credible threats before the race, but that isn’t true. There are two so far—one quite credible and another not so credible, but noteworthy because they really happened.
Rob Dew, a reporter for Infowars.com has a brother-in-law who ran the Boston marathon. The in-law works in domestic intelligence for the US Army (DIA). According to Dew,
“He was in position to finish the race at about the time of the bombing [but was] pulled from the race by military superiors and sent to a hospital to be treated for dehydration even though he thought he could have finished the race.”
Alex Jones compared this to Mayor Willie Brown being told by Condoleeza Rice not to fly on 9/11—solid evidence that some in government had foreknowledge about the impending attacks.
The Squamish Chief reported that:
Runners getting set to take part in the Boston Marathon were warned beforehand that they were going to die, said a Squamish resident who took part in the race… Mike Heiliger, 59, said a woman holding several bags was telling runners who were picking up their pre-race packages in downtown Boston on Saturday (April 13) that they were going to die if they participated in the event.
3) What about the forensic evidence of the blast? First, a low grade explosive was used which gave off a red/orange flame and grayish/white smoke. High grade explosives like C4 or Semtex (plastic explosive) give off a bright white light signature in large quantities (no light flash at all in small quantities) and black smoke. C4 and Semtex explosives are also manufactured with tracking chemicals so the origin of the blast can be traced. The use of low grade explosives could lead investigators to the suspect that amateurs were involved, but as the Washington Post pointed out, that isn’t at all conclusive:
The simple bomb design could imply that the maker was an amateur, incapable of acquiring more sophisticated materials, veteran investigators and forensics experts said. But they said it also could be the work of a sophisticated bomb maker taking great care to cover his tracks. “He might deliberately choose to use a less sophisticated device because he knows the explosives will be harder to trace.”
The deformed lid of a pressure cooker was found in the debris as well as a battery and some wires, leading investigators to hypothesize that a pressure cooker was used to contain the bomb materials, which included ball bearings, nails and other shrapnel producing materials. This is a common homemade bomb design and plans are readily available on the internet. The remnants of a black backpack with a white tag on top and some light colored striping on the shoulder straps was also found in the debris, leading to the conclusion that the pressure cooker was hidden in that kind of backpack. You’ll see this backpack remnant in some of the photo links below.
Triggering the blast is not as easy as putting together a bomb out of gunpowder—which is the suspected explosive media since it is readily available at gun stores for reloading. A true amateur would most likely have used a simple timing device as the trigger, but sophisticated bombers could use cell phones to explode the device remotely. However, this type of trigger takes more sophisticated manipulation of cell phone electronics. Police are checking out cell phone calls that were made at the exact time the bomb went off, but sophisticated bombers would know to use a throw-away cell phone which is harder to trace.
4) What about Suspects? Because this crime occurred in a public area covered by a few commercial security cameras, both private and government investigators are pouring over the films and still shots looking for persons with large black backpacks in the crowds, and in particular, looking for the same persons exiting the area without a backpack.
Someone posted their private work to infowars.com after combing through the video evidence around the point of the blast. It is pretty interesting: Take a look here: http://www.infowars.com/boston-bombing-culprits-found/
There are a lot of people with backpacks in the crowd, but only a few are really suspicious because of their size and bulk. Most ordinary tourist or runner’s backpacks are teardrop shaped and don’t look more than half filled. But a few visible backpacks look huge—like their owners are headed for a 3-day campout rather than just a trip downtown.
Some of those with large packs are together and look like military guys with short haircuts and wearing remarkably similar military-style pants and boots. They have large bulky jackets on and very large, full backpacks that are of particular interest. Both look like their oversized jackets conceal body armor underneath. One is wearing a dark ball cap with a white “Punisher” skull on it—also a logo for Craft International, a weapons training outfit started by former Navy Seal sniper Chris Kyle. It is also reportedly a popular logo among various Navy Seal teams and Army Special Forces troops.
After the explosion, two of these men are both seen in the middle of the street near ambulances and first responders talking on cell phones but not moving to assist or help as normal security guys would be expected to do. What’s in the oversized backpacks both are wearing? If they were private security contractors and part of the police bomb exercise, you would expect them to be undoing their packs and bringing out first aid kits or helping the bomb squads, but instead, nothing. These are the kinds of people police should be questioning or at least give the public an explanation about them.
Some of the pictures sent to Infowars.com and also emphasized by the New York Post focus on two young men, one with a unique white ball cap and sunglasses who is carrying a large bulging pack. In a subsequent picture the guy in the white hat does not have his pack on. I will note, however, that markings on the exploded back pack (white label on top and white strips of cloth on the straps) did not match the pack of the guy in the white hat whose backpack was no longer with him. A subsequent news story, however, revealed the man in the white ball cap to be an innocent teen who came forward after seeing his picture so talked about.
The markings on the exploded pack could, however, match the top white patch on the packs of the military guys standing around watching, as well as the bag of a bearded guy in a blue coat, whose pack is visible in a few pictures, hanging off of his arm. Two of the military types can be seen still with their packs on after the bombings but a third with similar pants and shoes is seen near the finish line without a pack holding some kind of handheld electronic device like an oversized remote control.
Of course, this discussion begs the question, could any former military man or Navy Seal participate in a wanton massacre of civilians? I think that’s a fair question, and I think the answer will largely be “No.” Although there are guys in the military that go bad, Navy Seals or Special Forces guys hardly ever fall into that category. They may not always be moral in their conduct with women and vices, but they are a cut above the rest in training, pride and emotional stability. I know of none who have become psychotic or such yes-men to government that they would knowingly do something like this.
That said, there are ways that evil perpetrators in black operations can get military or police types to go along, unwittingly, in a false-flag attack. The fact that there really was a bomb training exercise going on during the marathon may give us a clue. To make the bomb exercise realistic, it is highly probably that certain persons would be tasked to dress like civilians and plant “fake” explosives, dropping them off in various street locations—to see if the bomb sniffing dogs could detect them.
If one or two of those backpacks turned out to have real explosives in them, the exercise participants who did the planting of the packs could still have been totally innocent and as surprised as anyone that a bomb went off. Obviously, they would begin to ask questions about how a real bomb got planted in the backpack they were told was a fake, and that’s where the official suppression would begin in private.
Dumb anti-conspiracy commentators responding to articles on Infowars.com continue to ridicule the clues pointing to conspiracy in the mistaken assumption that everyone in the Boston Police Department must have known about the plot and keeping them all silent would be impossible. These commentators obviously haven’t thought through how conspiracies operate and why they can be pulled off without many knowing the whole story. They also don’t understand how much pressure can be brought to bear on government, police or military employees who do see bad things, keeping them silent about official misconduct.
That’s why it is important to get to the bottom of the City’s denial of any exercise, and to talk with these military types with large backpacks to see if they were part of such an exercise and find out how this exercised was planned and what was in their backpacks.
5) What about the Two Suspects the FBI is alerting the public to? The FBI has posted pictures and videos of two possible suspects walking around together with backpacks. http://www.fbi.gov/news/updates-on-investigation-into-multiple-explosions-in-boston/updates-on-investigation-into-multiple-explosions-in-boston
The FBI says the one in the white hat (worn backwards—not the same guy with the white cap noted previously) dropped his backpack at the location where one of the bombs went off. The trouble I have with this is that the backpack he is wearing is white with some black trim which doesn’t match the picture of the black bag blown open at one site. Even a speculated gray and brown heap near a trash can, shown before the other explosion, does not match the white backpack. The other suspect shown in the FBI release has a dark pack on but it does not have lighter stripes on the shoulder straps or a white badge/wrap on the top handle—so neither pack matches the picture of the pack involved in the actual bombing.
The FBI spokesperson strangely cautions the public not to rely on any other pictures or analysis but to only search for these two. Given the mismatching packs seen in the pictures, I find these improper directions by the government. This case is far from decided, but it appears the government has found who they are going to blame.
Breaking news–Infowars.com is usually first to get breaking news out on the net:
Within hours of the FBI naming two culprits in the Boston bombings while aggressively demanding that no attention be focused on any other potential suspects, police found themselves engaged in a deadly shootout with the two individuals, killing one while the other remains on the run.
“Two men identified by law enforcement sources as the Boston Marathon attack suspects — armed with explosives and guns — battled authorities in a Boston suburb early Friday morning, unleashing chaos until cops took one of the men into custody, and the other fled, the sources said. Officials later said the suspect taken into custody died,” reports NBC News.
Eyewitnesses said the suspects set off grenades to try to fight off police and that they also had what looked like backpacks and a “pressure cooker bomb,” matching the explosive device used in the Marathon bombings.
The standoff erupted shortly after a Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer was shot dead after he investigated a disturbance on campus. Some have speculated that the suspects were preparing to attack the University.
One of the alleged culprits has been named by 4chan researchers as Sunil Tripathi, a student who has been missing from his Philadelphia apartment since March 16. It is believed that Tripathi, seen wearing a white hat in the FBI photos, is still on the run while his alleged accomplice is the one who was shot dead by police.
NBC news just reported that the two bombing suspects are brothers, aged 19 and 20, and legal permanent U.S. residents of Chechen origin. That could really put an interesting spin on things. Even worse, the remaining brother with the backwards white cap is sporting a Hiter-style mustache!
I don’t know if the government is going to make anything of it, but it might lead to claims of a Neo-Nazi plot. Virtually every Neo-Nazi group exposed by the FBI and the Southern Poverty Law Conference has been either started by or infiltrated and controlled by FBI agent provocateurs—the most prominent example being the now extinct Aryan Nations in Idaho.
And this just in: a subscriber who works at Beth Israel hospital (where Suspect #1 died) said, “The hospital is locked down, the parking lot (also for employees) was locked down. No one, not even badged essential employees can go in or out. I was denied parking or entrance. I had to turn around and go home. The roads leading to the medical district are almost totally devoid of traffic. A bit extreme?”
Indeed. Government is taking these kinds of extreme measure more often now. Looks like people are so compliant, they won’t have to use troops to impose martial law someday—they’ll just announce it and everyone will comply!
6) What about the young wounded Saudi who was taken into custody? This has provided a tempting conspiracy theory for the internet, especially since the guy was being quickly deported out of the country upon demand of the Saudi embassy. Here’s Joseph Paul Watson of Infowars.com:
The Saudi “person of interest” suspected of being involved in the Boston Marathon bombings is being deported from the United States next week on “national security grounds,” according to a terrorism expert, who notes that the move is “very unusual,” especially given an unscheduled meeting yesterday between President Obama and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal.
According to terrorism expert Steve Emerson, 20-year-old Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, the Saudi national first suspected of being involved in Monday’s twin bomb attack, is being hastily deported. Alharbi was put under armed guard in hospital after the bombing, was visited by Saudi diplomat Azzam bin Abdel Karim, and later had his apartment raided by federal and state law enforcement agents.
“That’s very interesting because this is the way things are done with Saudi Arabia. You don’t arrest their citizens. You deport them, because they don’t want them to be embarrassed and that’s the way we appease them,” Emerson told host Sean Hannity.
The special relationship that explains all of this is the deal our government made with the Saudis at the formation of OPEC: in essence, “always provide us oil and accept only dollars for payment and we’ll protect your regime from overthrow and cover for your indiscretions.” The Saudis in return have become hostage to US protection by acceding to all demands of the US to fund whatever radical Islamists the US is backing under the umbrella of al Qaeda. It is little wonder that most of the protected terrorists the US brought in to do the dirty deed on 9/11 were Saudis—as far as we know. Some of the names may have been false, since some are reportedly still alive.
Allowing of the young Saudi to leave is also strangely reminiscent of the US allowing bin Laden’s relatives to all leave the US right after the 9/11 attacks even though no US citizen was allowed to fly. Watson then quotes World Net Daily’s Joe Kovacs who tries to make the connection with the young Saudi’s last name and known al Qaeda operatives:
“Saudi student Alharbi shares the same last name as a major Saudi clan that includes scores of al-Qaida operatives.” The Alharbi clan has long been active in al-Qaida. Khaled bin Ouda bin Mohammed al-Harbi, for example, is a Saudi national who joined Osama bin Laden’s mujahadeen group in the 1980s. He reportedly became an al-Qaida member in the mid-1990s. He turned himself in to Saudi authorities in 2004 as part of an amnesty deal.
But there’s a major problem with this neocon analysis always using al Qaeda as the enemy—al Qaeda is a US controlled black operation group at the top levels and has been ever since the CIA created and funded the Mujahidin through Operation “Gladio B” during the cold war. That doesn’t mean every al Qaeda terrorist knows who funds and controls them. Leaders do hire actual terrorists to do controlled terror operations, but you never really know who is working for the CIA or ignorant of its control—even by whom the CIA prosecutes.
At this stage of the US phony war on terror, it would be a bit dangerous for the US to come out and blame this on an Islamist terrorist. As Watson analyzes in the same Infowars article,
Given the fact that the Obama administration has sent more than half a billion dollars and the CIA is shipping weapons to FSA rebels in Syria who pledged allegiance to and are led by Al-Qaeda militants, the notion that one of these militants would carry out an attack on U.S. soil would be extremely damaging to the White House.
Who Might Get the Blame: With the two main subjects being Chechan, this blame could be shifted to any number of movements, from the American Right (if the two brothers turn out to be Neo Nazis) or even to the Russians (because of their involvement in Chechen terror). This could be spun any number of ways. Some news outlets are speculating that these two are Muslims and that they had military training before they came here—but that is unlikely since they would have been young teens. Those kinds of statement indicate a proclivity to point the blame overseas.
But one thing is for sure—they’ve been under the training of someone since coming to the US. They didn’t just hatch a plan like this on their own, especially given the degree of firepower they used against police in the chase last night. One report said they were using hand grenades, which are not easy to come by unless you have sources in the black markets. There is probably a wider conspiracy here. I suspect that these two are patsies brought into the scheme and set up to take the blame. If they both turn up dead, we might never know the truth. Dead men don’t tell tales.
Sadly, this incident will only perpetuate the government’s excuse to use terror to keep Americans believing that they have to keep giving up essential liberties in order to be secure. Obama even said so this week—warning that there will be other terrorist attacks, when he spoke at a news conference. Strangely, many could not help but notice that he never looked directly at the audience. He looked down, sideways, up, but never forwards—a textbook sign of someone who knows he’s dissembling.
Other liberals in public schools are also pushing this deadly and evil doctrine. Aaron Harvey a parent in Florida was outraged when he found out a 4th grade teacher had invited a liberal attorney to his son’s class in public school and both had instructed each of the students to write down the following words:
“I am willing to give up some of my constitutional rights in order to be safer or more secure.”
Whatever the official investigation comes up with in Boston, I believe the long term effect of this senseless and evil bombing will be more money and more personnel thrown at Homeland Security—to match their new $4 billion headquarters in DC. DHS is destined to be our biggest internal police force, and threat to liberty. We may now see a much higher law enforcement presence in major sporting events and marathon races. It will slowly acclimate Americans into accepting an all-surveilling, “show me your ID” society.
