US: TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program) $700 billion bailouts, signed into law in 2008, will expire October 3. Treasury Secretary Geithner boasts that it was a success because the money was paid back or soon will be. [Mainstream media plays this theme without questioning the details. However, it mostly is a bookkeeping trick to pacify taxpayers prior to elections. We predict that, when all facts are known, the government indirectly is providing the money to pay itself back.] Yahoo 2010 Oct 1 (Cached)

US government apologizes to Guatemala for intentionally infecting hundreds of people with syphilis and gonorrhea without their knowledge.

[These so-called scientific experiments occurred in the 1940’s, but there is abundant evidence that the government continues to use humans as guinea pigs in ongoing experiments for bacteriological warfare and depopulation.] MSNBC 2010 Oct 1 (Cached)

UN predicts that unemployment and reduction in government “benefits” will trigger expanding social unrest and riots. It recommends more government debt and more bailouts, the very things that have caused the economic crisis. AIG claims it will pay back its taxpayer-funded bailout totaling $182.3 billion. The money is expected to come from the sale of 1.66 billion shares of common stock sold by the government to private and institutional buyers. [Since AIG continues to lose money, who will buy this stock at prices high enough to cover the bailout cost? Answer: No one unless (1) they are fools or (2) they have a secret agreement from the Treasury and the Fed to provide the money and protect them against loss. We predict that, when all the facts are known, we will discover that the government is providing a hidden bailout to repay the visible bailout, an accounting trick to fool the American people.]

Massive anti-austerity protests sweep across Europe. 100,000 march on EU headquarters in Brussels. Workers and doctors stage general strikes – to protest the banks and politicians who have bankrupted the welfare state. [No one wants to give up their piece of the plunder. [1949] George Orwell: How the elite pacify the ‘proles’ with films, football, beer and gambling. “The larger evils invariably escaped their notice.”

From: George Orwell’s 1984 pdf

true to the Principles of doublethink, the Party taught that the proles were natural inferiors who must be kept in subjection, like animals, by the application of a few simple rules. In reality very little was known about the proles. It was not necessary to know much. So long as they continued to work and breed, their other activities were without importance. Left to themselves, like cattle turned loose upon the plains of Argentina, they had reverted to a style of life that appeared to be natural to them, a sort of ancestral pattern. They were born, they grew up in the gutters, they went to work at twelve, they passed through a brief blossoming− period of beauty and sexual desire, they married at twenty, they were middle−aged at thirty, they died, for the most part, at sixty.

Heavy physical work, the care of home and children, petty quarrels with neighbours, films, football, beer, and above all, gambling, filled up the horizon of their minds. To keep them in control was not difficult.

A few agents of the Thought Police moved always among them, spreading false rumours and marking down and eliminating the few individuals who were judged capable of becoming dangerous; but no attempt was made to indoctrinate them with the ideology of the Party. It was not desirable that the proles should have strong political feelings. All that was required of them was a primitive patriotism which could be appealed to whenever it was necessary to make them accept longer working−hours or shorter rations. And even when they became discontented, as they sometimes did, their discontent led nowhere, because being without general ideas, they could only focus it on petty specific grievances. The larger evils invariably escaped their notice.

THOUGHT CONTROL THROUGH EDUCATION
2010 Sep 20 from Catherine Collin
Dear Mr. Griffin…
First of all, let me tell you that your essays really left a strong impression in me. It “rang a bell” somewhere…

Growing up in Brazil during the military regime (courtesy of the U.S.A.) and going to school there, at first didn’t seem to be very difficult, but it really opens your eyes as to how deceiving education can be. As soon as the I was at the primary school, I could sense that our “Educacao social e fisica” books (social education) was a bit “biased”. From about 11 years old, I used to tell my dad that they were wrong but, at that age, I couldn`t point it out what.

That became more clear when I was in the PUC (pontificia Universidade Catolica) University doing my degree in Psychology; I was so very frustrated by every year in College that I used to cry everyday going there. I had expected so much and, again, I couldn`t point out what was wrong with it.

The same feeling comes now, studying to pass an exam, to do post-graduation in Criminology in a University in Athens, Greece. Reading various books on the matter, I realized that the line of thought of modern education is “truncated”. It is not continous. I remember studying Freud in the University and I realized we never read one single book that he wrote; we used to read parts of them. In criminology, it is the same system, the books describe different theories on the matter, never deepening in any line of thought. Maybe you would think that there is no problem with that but, if you compare it with the Platonic or the Pythagorean Universities, where lines of thought were studied so deeply they could be translated mathematically, you realize that there is something wrong with modern education. As you said in your text, ” create attitudes”. As a psychologist, I can tell you that you create attitudes when you teach someone how to think. If people are given just “techniques” to “do a job”, they never learn HOW to think – they become conditioned by the WAY they think.

That is very clear in the way people in Greece (and world wide)are responding to the crisis. I have an economist friend (and economists in general) that think it is perfectly all right to borrow from the IMF and instigate austerity measures to solve economic problems. Besides that being completelly ilogical (as punctuated by different economists such as Max Keiser and others) it shows that the human brain can only grasp the truncated notions of different techniques (increase taxes, pay debts, cut jobs), but is unable to bind/join/ link those acts together like…in a mathematical equasion (A+B+C=D).There is no continuinity.

By coincidence, I found a text about Foucault. A text about “disciplined society”; he realized that, from the 16th century, the system used techniques from psychiatric hospitals and prisons to condition, control, and keep society productive and disciplined. He called it “the birth of BIO- politics”, “psychiatric power”, “carceral continuun”, “government that regulates population by Bio- power”. I think you would be interested in his books.

Paul Craig Roberts: UN is a showcase for US propaganda

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryTtJK8yN3g]“UN is a showcase for US propaganda”

RTAmerica | September 23, 2010

The week-long 2010 United Nations General Assembly conference is set to begin Sept. 23 and will continue until Sept. 30 at the UN headquarters in New York. Many believe that the UNGA is nothing more than theatrics and that nothing substantial will be accomplished there. Including Paul Craig Roberts who says that the UN is a showcase for US propaganda and allows the US to attempt to extend its influence and reach.

Yay! Kevin Trudeau Wins Case Against Government!

From an email I just got from Kevin:

In 2005, the court ruled that the New York State Consumer Protection Board violated Trudeau’s First Amendment rights!

Trudeau filed a suit against the government for sending letters and using threats and intimidation against TV stations NOT to run ads for Trudeau’s books.

John Holdren, Obama’s Science Advisor, is urging the public to stop using the phrase  “global warming” and replace it with “global climate disruption.” [Smart move for the mythmakers, because the reality of global cooling becomes more evident with each passing month, and the phrase “climate change” is not scary enough to justify the massive taxes and government controls these people have in mind.]

UN World Health Organization finally declares the Swine-Flu Pandemic is over. Less than 19,000 people worldwide were reported to have died. [That is far less that predicted, and many of those cases were not Swine Flu at all. WHO received $170 million for this “emergency”.]

US: Backers of the so-called cybersecurity bill are caught lying. Power plants and water-supply systems are not connected to the Internet. US: Lap-Band surgery (placing a restrictive band around the stomach to reduce the ability to process food) currently is the most popular type of weight-loss surgery, and it generates $300 to $400 million in revenue annually. Practitioners now are targeting teenagers and, with FDA approval (almost certain) hope to expand the business to over a billion a year. [You should know there are serious risks and far better methods available, discussed in this article.]

Florida: Dengue fever (a potentially fatal virus spread by mosquitoes) is on the rise in Key West. It is now known that CIA and the military conducted biological-warfare experiments on unsuspecting residents in Florida by dropping millions of infected mosquitoes on them. Dengue Fever and Yellow Fever were among the infections. Symptoms of Dengue are similar to those of toxicity from Corexit, the chemical used to spray the Gulf oil spill. DID PRESIDENT WOODROW WILSON REALLY SAY THIS? YES HE DID IN HIS BOOK, THE NEW FREEDOM, published in 1913, the same year as the Federal Reserve Act.

“Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacturing, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.

“They know that America is not a place of which it could be said, as it used to be,that a man may choose his own calling and pursue it just as far as his abilities enable him to pursue it; because today, if he enters certain fields, there are organizations which will use means against him that will prevent his building up a business which they do not want to have built up; organizations that will see to it that the ground is cut from under him and the markets shut against him. …

“We have not one or two or three, but many established and formidable monopolies in the United States. We have, not one or two, but many, fields of endeavor into which it is difficult, if not impossible, for the independent man to enter. We have restricted credit, we have restricted opportunity, we have controlled development, and we have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated, governments in the civilized world – no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men.”

UN once again calls for a global currency, called the “Bancor,” the name proposed by Keynes over half-century ago.
