UPDATE: Demboski releases video, statement about alleged vandal
Anchorage Mayoral candidate, Amy Demboski has released a statement about the vandalism to her campaign signs….
According to her press release, Demboski saw the alleged vandal approaching her sign on Fireweed and Denali, with a box cutter. She then confronted the man, whom she calls ‘John’ for the vandalism.

In the video, Demboski is heard saying “You’ve gone around town and ruined like twenty of my signs.”
The alleged vandal then is seen to say to Demboski in the video “Amy, I’ll give you some political advice. There is six – ten – white males running for office. If you’d a put Demboski, without the pretty face and the pink lipstick and the Amy, you might’ve had a better chance of winning. Because it’s a sexist argument that a blonde can occupy the office.”
Demboski responded to the comments made in the video, in her statement to the press. “It is a bit unsettling that he also made disparaging remarks about my female colleague on the Assembly. He appears to have a problem with women in public life,” she said.
