Are you afraid to know what’s in hot dogs? Are hot dogs safe to eat? Well, in this video, I’m going to share with you the truth about hot dogs.

I’m not going to be talking about the bun or the stuff you might put on a hot dog, just the commercial hot dog itself.

So, what are some hot dog ingredients? First off, they have what’s called trimmings.

Pig, chicken, and cow trimmings:

• Low-grade muscle meat

• Fat

• Head meat

• Feet

• Skin

• Blood

• Liver

• Edible by-products (brain, intestines, kidneys, mechanically de-boned meat, pig tail, spleen, tongue)

Other hot dog ingredients:

• Salt (not sea salt)

• Spices

• Preservatives

• Corn syrup

• Dextrose

Are hot dogs bad for you?

When you cook protein with carbohydrates like corn syrup and dextrose, AGEs (advanced glycation end products) are produced. This is going to create all sorts of sticky protein problems in your body that are connected to a lot of health conditions.

If you’re going to get a hot dog, get an organic grass-fed hot dog that has sea salt and celery powder instead of preservatives and make sure it doesn’t have any sugar.
