WAR WITH CHINA LOOMS LARGE WITH AMERICANS

One poll estimates that some 70% of Americans think war with China is likely, and yet there’s almost no actual concern about it, nor any level of thinking about how to prepare for such an eventuality. That’s what happens when people rely on the mainstream media and government officials for cues about how to think and view the world. It matters little if you are concerned about the coming war unless you actually something to prepare. Americans won’t prepare if the government or mainstream media don’t encourage them to do so—which won’t happen.

US chip manufacturers see the handwriting on the wall relative to China’s constant threats against Taiwan, home of most of the world’s semi-conductor production. Both Samsung (In Texas) and Intel (in Arizona) are starting to build new plants in the US to reduce reliance on Taiwan, which, if conquered by China, could see world production damaged or destroyed.

But even factories on the US mainland may not be safe if China and Russia attack US military and strategic targets with nuclear and conventional weapons in a first strike. For way too long the US public has relied on our US military to prosecute any wars and we’ve always come out ahead. Not this time. This war will not only bring destruction to the US mainland but will force us into a loss of national sovereignty.

According to Taiwanese intelligence, China has stolen plans from US weapons arsenals and can build super EMP weaponsAn article in the Epoch times has the same old speculation of an EMP attack coming from a single high altitude explosion, but if an enemy is going to destroy the US grid, they will do it with multiple weapons to take it down all at once, and follow up with a nuclear weapon attack on key military targets.

Asia Times had a much more comprehensive article on the growing threat of war with China over Taiwan. I insert comments where I have a different view.

… Meanwhile, a bipartisan study by the National Defense Strategy Commission warned that “America’s ability to defend its allies, its partners and its own vital interests is increasingly in doubt,” and that Washington “might [even] struggle to win, or perhaps lose, a war against China or Russia.” …

A major area of concern for the US is China’s race to perfect its hypersonic missile capabilities, which could potentially breach the US’ existing missile defense systems as well as paralyze its overall communications systems in the event of a conflict.

There’s no “potential” about it. We have zero defense against hypersonic missiles or warheads.

Over the past five years, China has reportedly launched hundreds of hypersonic tests compared to only nine by the US, according to the US Air Force General John Hyten, the former vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The Asian powerhouse, which is expected to more than double its nuclear warhead stockpile over the next decade, is already in possession of hundreds of nuclear-capable ballistic missiles that can travel even faster than hypersonic glide vehicles.

Rapidly mastering missile technology, China is now deploying its broad array of medium-range “carrier-killer” missiles, including state-of-the-art DF-16 and more long-range DF-21C, across its eastern coastlines, thus placing all of Japan’s and large parts of the Western Pacific within its range. …

In short, I don’t think China is going to rely on small military attacks on US bases to deter a US response. They will rely upon a rapid blitzkrieg style attack on Taiwan with aerial and missile attacks on Taiwan so the US has no time to react until the conquest is nearly over.
