US Air Force Told to Prepare for War with China Within Two Years
A top US Air Force general has warned war could break out with China in as little as two years and has readied his troops.
Gen. Michael A. Minihan has raised the alarm over an imminent conflict as US-China relations sink to a historic low as tensions over Taiwan and Russia boil. Beijing has warned Washington that inferring with Taiwan’s future is the “first red line”, but the White House has threatened to step in if China attempts to take the island it claims sovereignty over by force. According to the general, such a scenario could play out by 2025, a memo leaked by one of its recipients in January revealed. He said in the document: “I hope I am wrong…my gut tells me we will fight in 2025.” [MSN.com]
An active duty Marine also told me that the Marines have active contingency plans to counter the invasion of Taiwan. So, while I think Minihan’s gut feelings are a bit premature, China is aggressive enough that Americans should prepare earlier rather than later for this coming war.
