“Why isn’t this on the front page of the news? … I don’t see doctors using vitamin D probably because it’s very inexpensive. … Vitamin D puts out the cytokine storm like a water hose on a fire. If you don’t have enough vitamin D and you’re going into this infection, you are really, really at risk.” – Dr. Berg, May 4, 2020

This early study, April 2020 already showed vitamin D the key to low severity from Covid! Had the study’s threshold been more optimal, 50 ng/ml instead of 30 ng/ml for ‘normal’), deaths would have been closer to nil.

The study: Patterns of COVID-19 Mortality and Vitamin D: An Indonesian Study, April 26, 2020, Prabowo Raharusun …

To the best of the researchers’ knowledge, this is the first retrospective study which determines the association of Vitamin D status and COVID-19 mortality outcome.

(1) normal – serum 25(OH)D of > 30 ng/ml* — 4% died
(2) insufficient – serum 25(OH)D of 21-29 ng/ml — 88% died
(3) deficient – serum 25(OH)D of < 20 ng/ml — 99% died

* ‘Normal’ range is 30-100 ng/ml. Later Covid studies showed 30 ng/ml to still be too low, with much better outcomes seen above 40 ng/ml, and 50 ng/ml being the target minimum for best safety from severe Covid. 80-100 ng/ml is optimum.

Vitamin D deficiency is a pandemic in itself. Find out how a vitamin D deficiency could make you more vulnerable to COVID-19.

In this video, we’re going to talk about a very fascinating study relating to COVID-19. Vitamin D is not only associated with decreased severity from COVID-2 but also decreased mortality from COVID-2.

A study that involved 780 confirmed cases of SARS-COVID-2 showed decreased severity in blood clots, hypoxia, and respiratory stress.

The group that had a deficiency in vitamin D had a much higher mortality rate than the group that had enough vitamin D.

Vitamin D can potentially put out the cytokine storm. You could be at a much higher risk of infection if you are deficient in vitamin D.
