Not funny: Barack Obama laughs at Wanda Sykes “joke” about wanting Rush Limbaugh dead

From: Telegraph.co.uk

What was Wanda Sykes thinking? Perhaps more to the point, what was President Barack Obama thinking when he laughed and smiled as the comedienne wished Rush Limbaugh dead? …

This is what she said: “Rush Limbaugh said he hopes this administration fails, so you’re saying, ‘I hope America fails’, you’re, like, ‘I dont care about people losing their homes, their jobs, our soldiers in Iraq’. He just wants the country to fail. To me, that’s treason.

“He’s not saying anything differently than what Osama bin Laden is saying. You know, you might want to look into this, sir, because I think Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker. But he was just so strung out on OxyContin he missed his flight.”

She then concluded: “Rush Limbaugh, I hope the country fails, I hope his kidneys fail, how about that? He needs a good waterboarding, that’s what he needs.” Obama seemed to think this bit was pretty hilarious, grinning and chuckling and turning to share the “joke” with the person sitting on his right. …

And Obama laughing when someone wishes Limbaugh dead? Hard to take from the man who promised a new era of civility and elevated debate in Washington.

Gee, lets not be to hard on Wanda, look at her!

so essentially you have no original thought and just reposted something from a dodgy news source. rush limbaugh is a mentally ill person who should probably seek out treatment and stop extolling the virtues of a fundamentalist right-wing agenda. the man has no credibility in the real world, and a bit of harmless joking at a dinner is hardly something to stand up and get pouty about.

    Infanticide is normal of course.

    Dear ‘me,’

What I posted here is mainly the quotes as to what Wanda said, along with a few statements that I totally agree with.

And I’m not defending Rush. He’s one of the main reasons America is going down.

Rush screens out callers who would talk about what is really happening in and to America. He’s paid big bucks to cover up the source of the problem.

Rush, along with FOX News supported President Bush’s immoral, reverse-Christian policies no matter what. Republicans can do know wrong, while in reality, the Bush II Presidency may be the worst we’ve so far experienced. But he did what he was put in there to do by the globalists.

Rush wouldn’t give Ron Paul the time of day. As President, Ron Paul could have turned this country around, fiscally.

Rush was found with Viagra in his luggage; though, he’s not married and claims to be the moral compass of America. He said he wished he could tell how good a time he had on that trip.

And as to Wanda’s statement being “harmless joking”: wishing evil on people is one of the core reasons America is going down. Millions of Americans do it multiple times everyday. And many millions are sick from these curses, mentally and/or physically.

There is a good reason that doctors often can’t cure illnesses. Hate and anger is off the chart in America. Demonically influenced people put demons on other people—wishing evil on people. America is self-destructing.

This is no laughing matter. Wishing evil on people is the absolute reverse of what Jesus taught.

Just wanted to make a couple of corrections.

Rush is married and has been for many years to the same woman.

I agree that Ron Paul would have been a wonderful choice for President. Unless Rush has made any exceptions that I am unaware of, Rush doesn’t have guests on his show so it would be logical that he didn’t have Ron Paul on.

Rush’s show, like all radio programs have to screen calls to keep it on topic and/or interesting. Each show host has their own comfort zone when dealing with callers. I don’t believe that Rush is paid to cover-up anything. He is no danger to anyone. He has an opinion and a talent for expressing it.

    Mamabear,

    1) Rush isn’t married. From Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rush_Limbaugh#Relationships:

On May 27, 1994, Limbaugh married Marta Fitzgerald, a 35-year-old aerobics instructor. They were married at the house of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who officiated. They were separated on June 11, 2004.[91] Limbaugh announced on the air, “Marta has consented to my request for a divorce, and we have mutually agreed to seek an amicable separation.” The divorce was finalized in December 2004.

Rush wasn’t married during this event. From CBS news http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/06/27/national/main1753947.shtml:

    Rush Limbaugh Detained With Viagra

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., June 27, 2006 | by Jarrett Murphy

(CBS/AP) Rush Limbaugh could see a deal with prosecutors in a long-running prescription fraud case collapse after authorities found a bottle of Viagra in his bag at Palm Beach International Airport. The prescription was not in his name. …

For now, Limbaugh is joking about his brush with the law. He joked about the search on his radio show Tuesday, saying Customs officials didn’t believe him when he said he got the pills at the Clinton Library and he was told they were blue M&Ms. He later added, chuckling: “I had a great time in the Dominican Republic. Wish I could tell you about it.”

    2) I wasn’t referring to whether Rush had Ron Paul on as a guest. It’s about what Rush says or doesn’t say about candidates. I don’t know if there are any stats, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Rush mentioned John McCain 1000 to 1 over Ron Paul. Or if the ratio was less, it was because he was presenting Ron Paul in a negative light, perhaps even as a kook, like FOX News did — and that Ron Paul’s supporters were kooks.

    3) It is well known that Rush and many other right-wing ‘conservative’ talk-show hosts screen Ron Paul supporters and callers who would like to discuss the topics that are the heart of the problem, like many of the issues I discuss on this site.

In order to get on, some callers have resorted to telling the screeners they would discuss McCain, but then bring up Ron Paul or the ‘Federal Reserve’ or the Bilderbergs, etc., and are quickly escorted off the show, even hung up on.

Screening callers is mainly to keep the old guard in power by keeping key topics off limits and out of Americans’ psyche. Alex Jones doesn’t screen callers, and his show is plenty ‘interesting.’

I have over 100 posts under the category, “Media Bias Exposed.” Media bias in America is rampant, and Rush Limbaugh is one of the key disinfo experts who keep the truth about what is really going on from the people.

    This is serious!

Regarding Rush Limbaugh caller censorship, I should add:

I listened to a taped message many years ago by I’m almost certain was David J. Meyer of The Last Trumpet Newsletter.

He said he heard Bo Snerdley tell Rush this (they didn’t realize the show was on the air): ~”David Rockefeller just called and said we shouldn’t let anyone talk about the New World Order anymore.”

It’s possible that Rush started out with good intentions, but now has become a key disinfo agent for the dark side.

Hi Jeff, I’m sorry to hear all that about Rush. I used to listen to him often up until the passage of the Patriot Act and I stopped listening to all talk radio because I had become as disillusioned with the Republicans as I was disgusted with the Democrats.

In case you might be interested, there’s a book I just started reading that explains how both parties stomped on the neck of classical liberalism which is what Ron Paul believes. The book is called Liberal Fascism by Jonah Goldberg. It explains why neither of the two parties represent the views or intent of the Founding Fathers and how they both decided that the Constitution should be disregarded. I’m only 100 pages into it am absolutely shocked to read about the unmistakeable fascism that people began to accept over 100 years ago and how it has grown to where most of us don’t even understand freedom when we hear it from the likes of Ron Paul.

    Mamabear,

It sounds like a good read.

I would love to read a book in which the techniques that the mainstream ‘conservative’ talk-show hosts are examined. How have they successfully gotten millions of Americans to support unconstitutional agendas and practices that have destroyed our reputation around the world, and are bringing us down?

It would be interesting to see all of these techniques demonstrated.

And what attributes of Americans do they appeal to in order to change opinion away from righteousness and into supporting the globalists’ agenda, which is using our military to take out countries that oppose a one-world government.

And many ‘conservatives’ now even support torture! How did Rush and the others influence people to act so selfishly and cold-heartedly, voting for Bush/Cheney even a second time?

And now Rush blames President Obama for destroying the US, when he helped Skull and Bonesman George W. Bush, led by Cheney and etc. more or less seal our fate.

Somehow, Americans have become largely immoral. And how has this happened?

I think the root cause is spiritual, and the root spiritual cause is a misinterpretation of Scripture, giving people a license to sin.

Our moral compass is gone, for the most part. People have become ditto-heads instead.

Listening to Rush is like being hooked up to a mind-control machine.

He’s appealing to something that is dark in the soul of mankind in order to be so successful.

It’s like the frog in the boiling pot. There is something about Rush that the people didn’t jump out when the water started getting hot.

I’m glad you did, and many others. But some are still sitting in the pot even when the water is starting to boil.

I just can’t help but think the people are under some kind of mind-control, and many now don’t want to admit they were wrong for so long, so they resist deprogramming.

How in the world can people be so against abortion and so for killing people of all ages who didn’t do anything to us? Why can’t people see what Ron Paul said so many times: ~”How would we react if people invaded us the way we did them?”

Rush is so arrogant, and I think it’s rubbed off on many of his listeners to the point that many have become cold-hearted as well.

I prefer to listen to people who are pro-life all the way, like Alex Jones, Ron Paul and many others. How can people be so against killing people inside of the womb, but then when they get out…?

It would be so interesting to have an expert decipher how Rush and the others did it.

How did the soul of Republican America get so dark?

    God bless!

    Jeff Fenske
