The last volley of gun shots may be the only ones coming from Paddock’s window. They’re the only clear sounding volley in this video.
That’s why there are so few shell casings seen in Paddock’s room.
I asked in a comment:
At 06:00, the *gun sound* is very clear and the *high frequencies come on strong only during parts* of this volley. Why is that? These are not the high frequency, hypersonic bullet arrival cracks that we hear in concert video, which arrive before the distant gun sound. High frequencies don’t travel far, unlike lower. What’s going on? No sound of helicopters at this time, so they’re not the origin. This can be heard easier and clearer in Jake’s large file video of this at vid.me at -53:00 https://vid.me/asiA6 . Any ideas? Does sound like bump stock, as the firing rate varies in speed. What could cause the wide variation in the high frequency part of the gun sound?

The last volley is definitely higher pitched, which requires close proximity and maybe no obstructions in-between shooter and camera — line-of-sight to Paddock’s window only during the last volley? Earlier volleys were also loud, but lack the high frequencies. Shooter could have been positioned lower, but still close, as the roof photographer’s testimony seems to indicate.]

We Can Only Find Fewer Than 150 Casings…Which Almost Look Like They Have Been Hand-Sprinkled Around The Room…
The bullet origin direction shown here is also where the tower is, or the dirt pile below it?
Laura Loomer’s video also shows the bullet trajectory coming from the tower or dirt pile.
The lack of the bullet arriving ‘crack’ sound being separated from the sound of the gun firing indicates the round was fired from closer too, maybe really close, and/or maybe from a silenced gun.

Gauchat tried twice to get on an empty elevator, only to be kicked off by police officers and what appeared to him to be hotel security. He took the third elevator that arrived to the 31st floor, exiting with a woman he did not know, but who was attending the same convention.
Once out of the elevator, Gauchat spotted something alarming: police officers using recessed doorways as cover to move through a hallway.
“I’m former military; I was in the Army in the ’90s, and I recognized what they were doing. They were certainly in tactical formation moving down, trying to get to the end of the hallway,” he said. …
Then, in a different hallway, as he unlocked the door to his room, he saw another security team on the move and took a short video. …
Gauchat’s room did not overlook the shooting scene — which he’s thankful for — but instead provided a view of what appeared to become a staging area for dozens and dozens of emergency vehicles. He could also see police helicopters shining spotlights on the roofs of buildings.

Even the lower noise copters can be heard from about 1/2 mile away, Gary Holland points out. I found them annoying, when I visited Vegas.
