If evangelical Christians are hesitant to support Ron Paul’s candidacy for the Republican nomination for President, two reasons are usually proffered: he does not support Israel, and he wants to bring the troops home from Iraq.
Unfortunately, many (if not most) of today’s evangelical Christians have bought into the whole neocon warmongering mentality. Somewhere along the way, evangelicals have forgotten the historic Christian understanding of “just war,” not to mention our Savior’s promise of divine blessing upon peacemakers [“For they shall be called children of God” – ed.]. They have allowed President George W. Bush and his fellow warmongers to hijack the legitimate use of defensive war and turn it into a commitment to aggressive and preemptive war.
If the United States continues on its current path of aggressive, preemptive war, incessant nation-building, empire-building, and globalism, our country will collapse. …
However, it is evangelical Christians’ misunderstanding of Ron Paul’s position on Israel that seems to be the most problematic. …
In this regard, it is incredible to me how evangelical pastors and leaders can continue to associate with–and support–radical Israel apologists such as John Hagee. His ranting about Jewish people having a special covenant with God and needing not to come to the Father through Christ–and even that Jesus never claimed to be Christ–is nothing short of blatant apostasy. …

January 12, 2008New Hampshire Recount?
After a careful investigation, I have decided against seeking a recount in New Hampshire. I am confident that not asking for a recount is the right decision.
I carefully considered the arguments for and against a recount before instructing my campaign staff not to pursue it. Without a firm belief that vote fraud had taken place, and without the possibility that a recount would have increased the chances for success of our campaign, a recount would have diverted campaign resources, time, and energy away from crucial battles elsewhere.
We have taken concerns about vote fraud seriously. In Iowa, campaign volunteers carefully monitored the caucuses. Campaign staff placed Paul supporters in every precinct to watch and verify the voting and count. We had supporters phone in results from their precincts to a campaign hotline while others ensured that those numbers were reflected on the official display board at the Polk County Convention Center. The numbers our caucus watchers reported agreed with the official tally, and both results also aligned with the campaign’s internal polling. In relatively pro-Paul counties, our sampling pegged support at 11.5%. This is consistent with an overall 10% finish for the entire state.
All my life, I’ve been working to make sure that when the Fed had done its work, and the special interests had looted the system to their hearts’ content, and there was a crisis, I would be in a position to speak the truth about why, and what to do about it.

Message from Ron: Onward!
Did you see that funny YouTube where Mike Huckabee’s young Iowa spokesman endorsed me, “by mistake”? We know what was in his mind! Indeed, I am amazed at the friendliness of the supporters of other candidates. Many Obama voters, for example, in Iowa and New Hampshire are reading our literature, and studying our ideas. It’s just one of the reasons I am so optimistic about what we are doing, and where we are heading. And so were the 500 or 600 people at our New Hampshire rally after the primary. I talked to everyone there, and they are rightly enthusiastic about our movement.
This does not mean we will have an easy time of it — just the opposite, of course. After all, we are seeking to reverse more than a century of big government, of the warfare-welfare state, of Federal Reserve’s dollar manipulation, of a fat and happy military-industrial complex, of the subversion of our Constitution. So all the media and other “second-hand dealers in ideas,” as F.A. Hayek called them, who have a vested interest in the current order, will do everything possible to smear me. They will do and say anything to try to block our movement. Even vote fraud is not beyond these people.
And we have been successful. This movement has always operated on two tracks — intellectual and political, and must. The first and most important is the intellectual. Such heroes of freedom as Ludwig von Mises, Hayek, Henry Hazlitt, Murray Rothbard, and so many others like Rose Wilder Lane, John T. Flynn, Isabel Patterson, and Garret Garrett, have helped build the foundations of freedom, prosperity, and peace. We carry on their work, to change hearts and minds.
For, behold, the wicked bend their bows.
They set their arrows on the strings,
That they may shoot in darkness at
the upright in heart.

Faux News Exposed [Again]
When FauxNoise replayed the debate tonight they cut to commercial and EDITED OUT — yes, they DID NOT SHOW — Ron Paul’s above answer to the electability question! How can you even call yourself a decent human being and like this anti-free speech, anti-free thought network? They censor and spin anything that threatens them and it’s a sickening suppression of truth.
Transcript is here
The credibility of Fox News is pretty much close to zero. It was bad enough that they refused to allow Ron Paul in their NH debate forum, but now they have been caught planting an actor in their supposedly random focus groups. Frank Luntz one of the chief propagandists for Fox News who organizes these focus groups has been caught planting people in focus groups in a clear attempt to distort reality. During tonight’s Fox News GOP debate, Luntz organized a focus group to provide feedback from so called random Republican voters. However, one of the people in the focus group was also used in a previous focus group Luntz organized for the September 5th, 2007 GOP presidential debate. Take a look at the two videos….
While the political pundits chatter on about the shocking “upset” in the New Hampshire primary between Marxist Hillary Clinton and ‘No Change’ Barack Obama, there is a storm brewing regarding the vote count for Congressman Ron Paul.
Regular readers of my column know I have been on the vote fraud issue since 1993. It is real and has dominated our elections since the late ’60s. While the corporate media flunkies have been diligent in their efforts to marginalize and crush Dr. Paul’s run for the White House the past several months, his support has swelled and along with it, the necessary cash to run a viable campaign. [See this excellent DVD on vote fraud “Hacking Democracy“]
Those of us who have followed the events taking place in this country the past couple of decades are fully cognizant of how the shadow government operates behind the curtain and feeds the peasants (you and me) what they want the people to know and make sure via technology, that enough of their kind are “elected” to higher offices and stay in office. Over the past eight years, I have watched the anger and activism over vote fraud continue to grow as more and more Americans have finally come to the realization that the ballot box no longer belongs to we the people.
Clearly, this isn’t going to happen unless Dennis makes a 3rd party run. But I think it’s great to see the appreciation these two pro-peace candidates have for each other—how they even vote together—standing up for what is right.
Ron has also said kind things about Dennis on many occasions.

According to the counters, Ron Paul came in fifth in Iowa with an alleged 10% of the GOP vote. Many believe had Dr. Paul not been the target of a deliberate media smear (i.e., worldnetdaily.com’s news item January 5, 2008 with the caption ‘GOP gadfly’ in describing Ron Paul), he would have been in the high teens, possibly 20%.
Allegedly, the numbers came out: Brother Huckabee 34%, Flip Romney 25%, Fred Thompson 13%, McCain 13%, Ron Paul 10%, Rudy Julie Annie 4% and Duncan Hunter 1%. In several counties in Iowa, Dr. Paul pulled in 35%, 14%, 15%, 21% and several with 12% of the vote. That didn’t make the news. According to the pollsters, 47% of the GOP voters who turned out in Iowa are Evangelical Christians. What message did these Christian voters in Iowa send? Huckabee, Romney, Thompson, McCain and Hunter are all pro-war mongers who are firm in their commitment to this unconstitutional, immoral invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq. They voted for more of this:
This would have placed Dr. Paul in 3rd place, just as the polls were showing before the primary…

Alex is talking about what looks like voter fraud in the New Hampshire primary with Bev Harris BlackBoxVoting.com in the repeat stream at GCN Live On Demand [Then click on The Alex Jones Show (Mon – Fri)].
Today’s continuous stream will only be up for 24 hours. The show is 3 hours. So far, it seems this is by far the main topic today; though, other topics also discussed.
GCN Live On Demand is also a great place to listen to The Power Hour—my favorite radio show!
Subscribers can listen to archives of any program, anytime.
The owner of GCN Live, Ted Anderson, is a great Ron Paul supporter, and the man behind the Ron Paul Air Corp.
What is it about Ron Paul that the Establishment finds so disturbing? This is a man who perhaps personifies Christian character and integrity, American patriotism, and family values more than any other public figure. …
Now, how in the name of common sense can a man such as Ron Paul be hated? Maybe it is because he is a man of integrity and honesty. Remember, our Lord said that men who love darkness hate the light. And if there is a word that describes the Establishment in America today, it is DARKNESS.
Name it: the establishment Democrat and Republican Parties, the establishment media, the establishment financial institutions, and even the establishment churches all seem to be run by people who exude the power of darkness. It should not surprise us, therefore, when a man arises who personifies the light of integrity and honesty, that the powers that be should hate him–and hate Ron Paul they do.
Conservative Republican Ron Paul is loathed as much by members of his own party as he is by liberal Democrats . Even though he is the epitome of a Christian gentleman, Ron Paul is despised by Christians and pastors as much as he is by pagans–maybe more. The media despises him–especially Fox News. The so-called conservative Fox News celebrity Sean Hannity practically goes ballistic at the mere mention of Dr. Paul’s name. …
The Establishment hates Ron Paul because his honesty and integrity expose the rest of them for the moral reprobates they are. Their own conscience cannot bear the sight of him. His very presence condemns them. Their personal greed and ambition cringe at the very thought of Ron Paul. If Dr. Paul became President, the Gig would be up!

The Fox / Leno Miracle
Posted January 8th, 2008 by zenpiper
If there is one amazing aspect to this campaign is that miracles happen all the time. Or, for the non-spiritual readers, that no matter how many lemons are thrown at Ron Paul, he comes up with lemonade. I like the idea of miracles better because so many unexplained windfalls have happened that it defies the odds.
When Fox stated last week that RP was not invited to the event, many of us reacted in shock, dismay and anger. It was not fair nor justifiable by any measure: it was dirty politics. Everybody saw that. Many posters (including me) mused about ways we could give Fox a kick in the shins (or worse) including stock sell-off, barrages of emails and phone calls and generally sticking a finger in the Fox eye. It was maddening.
Then a little miracle appeared in the form of The Tonight Show and Jay Leno. Not only did RP get a lot of air time, a good solo intro by Jay, Ron’s message was carried to many more viewers than the Fox debate would have offered. Ron was in top form and the audience was clearly stoked to hear him. It doesn’t get much better.
But the real message is that–no matter what happens in terms of negative stuff–something wonderful comes out of it. It is though an unseen hand is guiding this campaign, and has been all along. This is just amazing to me.

How Do I Say Thank You?
In Iowa, many hundreds of volunteers worked day and night for our campaign. College kids took their Christmas vacations in the snow for freedom. Thousands of people donated to make it all possible. We had many phone calls, brochures, mailings, advertising. Revolutionaries from all over the country sent handwritten letters to every voter, and despite national media attacks and censorship, we got more than 10 percent of the vote. We also soundly beat a certain ex-mayor who started off the first debate by attacking a pro-American foreign policy and the explanatory doctrine of “blowback,” the CIA’s term for foreign intervention that causes trouble for us in return. The Golden Rule applies to nations as well as to individuals.
And speaking of debates, FOX blocked my participation in its last New Hampshire debate, but I think that hurt FOX more than us. We had a terrifically successful townhall meeting at the same time, and Jay Leno invited me on the Tonight Show again to discuss it. Many members of our movement were galvanized to overcome the bias, including me!
In our Iowa campaign, since it was a caucus, we were dealing with party activists for the most part, not the people. And some of the activists were very unhappy to hear our views, trying to scream them down! Others thought that peace violates Christianity. But New Hampshire is another story. There is a state and a people tailor-made for us. Live Free! Then there are Michigan, South Carolina, and Super Tuesday and its nearly 20 primaries. Frankly, we need $23 million more to have a chance of beating the establishment candidates.
I am working hard for our ideas, as I know you are. The attacks and even smears will increase as we do better. But they will not defeat our ideas. They cannot defeat out ideas. At this moment of urgency for America, with spending, taxes, spying, inflation, and wars out of control and threatening all we love, let us rededicate ourselves to freedom, prosperity, and peace. Already, I owe you all my thanks. Join me in this great endeavor in New Hampshire and beyond. Please make your most generous donation now: https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate
Sincerely,
Ron

Since FOX News banned Ron Paul from their 1/6 debate, Congressman Paul held his own, 1-hour, town hall meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire on the same night!
Stuck in the center of the tiny, round rug, it takes Ron about 10 minutes to get warmed up. The meeting then becomes very lively and great intro to Ron Paul!
One even asks “who owns the Federal Reserve?”

PAUL: Try to visualize how we would react if they did that to us, if a country, say China, came that great distance across the ocean, and they say, “We want you to live like us. We want you to have our economic system. We want bases on your land. We want to protect our oil.”
Even if we do that with good intentions — even if the Chinese did that with good intentions, we would all be together and we’d be furious.
PAUL: We, in foreign policy, ought to have a golden rule. We ought to treat others as we would want others to treat us. And we don’t treat others so fairly. We treat them like we’re the bully, that we’re the policeman of the world, and we’re going to tell them to behave.
