ALL SWIMMERS ARE HEADED TO THE WATERFALL
2011 Apr 15 from Anthony Trupiano
Mr. Griffin,
My wife and I just listened to a webinar by Harry Dent last night where he stated precious metals were at an all-time high and would correct in a big way, as he feels the dollar will rally because the world has no where else to go with their investments, what do you think?

GEG’S REPLY:
Hello Anthony.
None of us have a crystal ball, but my expectation is slightly different. It is true that conventional American investors likely will stay with dollars because they have few options. There already is a move to create a global fiat currency, and that is where conventional investments probably will go in the long run. Smart wealth will choose gold and silver.

If the dollar rallies, it will only be by comparison to other fiat currencies. All of them are declining in purchasing power. When one currency looks better than the others, it is only because the others are worse. In that scenario, it is meaningless to talk about a rally. It is like holding a swimming contest in the Niagara River in which the swimmers are going against the current, but all of them are being dragged closer to the waterfall. There would be no point in betting on which one will swim faster. They all are doomed.

SKULL AND BONES FLIES FROM THE MAST OF THE U.S. SHIP OF STATE
Posted 2011 Apr 11 from David McElroy
Mr. Griffin;
Regarding your boxed illustration about one out of four people being “mentally unbalanced”, I might note that about one out of four people in America are government employees, politicians, bureaucrats, etc.! Perhaps you might append that factoid to the graphic illustration. Government service draws sociopaths and psychopaths, tyrants, thieves, and gangsters, not to mention slackers, moochers, and liars. The very nature of government breeds a parasitically inhumane criminal mindset. The “Skull and Bones” flies from the mast of Uncle Sam’s ship of state. Pirates are at the helm, manning the guns against us!

RUN-ON-THE-LIBRARY FOR CREATURE
2011 Apr 11 from K.J.S.
I want to congratulate you on a remarkable achievement with “The Creature from Jekell Island.” I check a copy out of our local library, after having to wait for about six weeks, because they only have one copy. You book is checked out constantly. I finally got it, read about half way before I had to return it because there were 13 requests for the book. So I returned it diligently, being the good citizen that I am, and started searching the book stores for my own copy, because I knew that I would have to have my own copy. Border’s Book Stores are closing, as I’m sure you are aware, and so I found 8 copies on the
shelves, but they were only 20% off. Knowing that there would be more discounts coming soon, I waited, and monitored the inventory every few days. In only 8 or 10 days, six of the eight were gone. They were 30% off at that time, so I bought one.

I am studying “The Creature from Jekell Island” as though it were a college course with notebook in hand. It is a fabulously rich text full of vital financial information about the truth of how fiat money really hurts a society. I am personally enriched for having read this book and I sincerely want to thank you from the bottom of my heart that you should care so much about future generations.

I’ve just started exploring your website. Great job! Unbelievable really in its depth and quality of material. I’m like a sponge right now, but I’ll be back at you with some ideas I have for growing freedom-force.org.

DOES ZEITGEIST COMPARE RELIGIONS OR ATTACK THEM?
2011 Apr 8 from Brendan Smith
Dear Mr. Griffin,
Upon reading the newsletter I came across the part about Zeitgeist, and I just would like to give some of my input on that part. Don’t take this as an attack against you, just wanted to get some of my ideas across. So as you mention the first part of Zeitgeist “attacks” religion, now I don’t see this as an attack; its more so a comparison between all the religions in the world. He merely is showing us what we already know just in a side by side fashion and easy to understand. Now don’t get me wrong, people will believe in whatever religion they would like and I have no problem with that, I just want the truth, and that’s what Zeitgeist promotes.

GEG’S REPLY:
Hello Brendan.
Thanks for your response to my analysis of Zeitgeist. If you will watch the program again, you will see that it is far from an objective study in comparative religion. There are numerous segments that deride those with religious convictions in the most insulting and, in some cases, vulgar terms imaginable. If this is not an attack on religion, I don’t know what would be. I have no objection to someone expressing why they accept or reject any specific point of theology, but I object to any effort to ridicule or denigrate those who hold a different view. You have said that all you want is the truth, and I am with you on that 100%. The truth is that Zeitgeist is not content to let people believe in whatever religion they like. It is at war with all religion, and that is yet one more characteristic of collectivism in general and Marxism in particular. Rulers want all loyalty to the state. Religions dilute that unity and, therefore, must be destroyed. It has nothing to do with religion at all. It’s all about controlling people.

MAINSTREAM NEWS ON IVORY COAST IS CIA PROPAGANDA
2011-04-09 from John Peterson
I happen to be privileged to inside information about the situation in Ivory Coast, and the reports that you are linking are State Department fiction.. Outarra, the man the CIA (aka Associated Press) says won the election is an IMF stooge that the French/NWO have tried to install to oversee their corporate interests. Obama has sent him $12 million of “aid”, and that money has been used directly to hire Liberian and other mercenaries who are committing atrocities that would make the Nazis blush. I’ll give you one example: they tie ropes around 3-year-old and younger babies, sling them around, and smash them against a wall so that their heads explode. They are also tying people to logs and putting them into fires, and they are dropping children into wells. Completely demonic. Al Jazeera has begun to report these atrocities and is showing actual video.

I believe that Ivory Coast is a very strategic battleground for the fight against the NWO, and I urge you to take time out to research Gbagbo, Outarra and the decades-long struggle that Ivory Coast has endured. Ivorians are a shining example of courage that Americans would do well to emulate.

OBSERVATIONS AND PREDICTIONS FOR GRIFFIN’S APPEARANCE ON THE GLENN BECK SHOW
2011 Mar  4 from R. Michael Huff, rhuff@nw3c.org

G. Edward Griffin’s appearance on the Glenn beck show was a pleasant surprise, and I was very pleased with what transpired on the show, although I do have some reservations about Beck’s motivations, as well as Beck’s other guest, Mark from the Cato Institute. Before I talk about these reservations, I want to identify briefly what struck me as praiseworthy about the show. First, Griffin received a lot of playing time – more than I expected. Second, Beck, at the beginning of the show, gave a fairly accurate history lesson on the Fed’s origins.

Of course, there was that awkward moment when Griffin began to talk about the elites’ main strategy of gaining control of the means of mass communication – e.g., the major news outlets. Beck stiffened. “Whoa, whoa…” he interrupted, “what do you mean? Give me some examples” [my paraphrase]. Beck obviously sensed an indirect attack on his employer. Griffin went on to explain … (More)

USING REFERENDUMS TO TRAIN ELECTED OFFICIALS
2011 Apr 3 from Mervyn Cloe
It may not work everywhere but here in Oregon the petition process provides some hope. I will skip past the Initiative Petition right to the Referendum, which offers a way to counter Ordinances that may not be in the best interest of the public.

This requires organization, but could be very effective. For me a Referendum Petition only must list the Ordinance that is opposed, by enacting number. The referendum must be filed within 30 days and it only requires 10% of the registered voters of a recent election, as signers.

Once the petition is filed, the Ordinance cannot be enacted until voted on in a regular election. If it does not receive a positive vote it is shelved. This is an ideal way to “train” elected officials. So you can forget about filing divisive recall petitions and concentrate on qualifying future candidates!

SORRY TO SAY GRIFFIN IS RIGHT
2011 Mar 30 from James Sugden
Dear Mr. Griffin,
How did your “Creature from Jekyll Island” get to its 5th edition and I’ve never heard of it? An EXTRAORDINARY work!!! I could hardly put it down. I’ve spent my career as VP Finance and CFO for a number of companies, and I’ve now semi-retired to a full-time position teaching accounting at a California Community College.

I thought I had a pretty good handle on money, banking, and finance. But, you’ve opened my eyes to many obvious things I’ve never seen or fully understood, and many hidden causes I’d have never dreamed existed. Your in depth research and documentation provides indisputable credibility, while your clear and engrossing style provides meaning – even logic – to extraordinary world events that are otherwise so baffling. I never understood many of the behind-the-scenes cooperating forces and self-interests at work. Your book puts a whole new light on watching world events.

The only problem is, I’m sorry to say, I believe you’re right! I wish it were not so!

Robert Whitaker, a former Boston Globe reporter, was curious about why there has been such a large increase of disabling mental illness in the United States. His book, Anatomy of an Epidemic: Magic Bullets, Psychiatric Drugs, and the Astonishing Rise of Mental Illness in America (Crown Publishers, 2010), begins with these data points: in 1987, the U.S. mental illness disability rate was 1 in every 184 Americans, but by 2007 the mental illness disability rate had more than doubled to 1 in every 76 Americans.

A psychologist asks: Have consumerism, suburbanization and a malevolent corporate-government partnership so beaten us down that we no longer have the will to save ourselves?

Can people become so broken that truths of how they are being screwed do not “set them free” but instead further demoralize them? Has such a demoralization happened in the United States?

Liberation Psychology for the U.S.

Z Magazine November 1st, 2009

Are we too demoralized to protest?

The term “liberation psychology” was popularized by Ignacio Martin-Baró (1942-1989), the psychologist, priest, and activist who was assassinated in El Salvador by government troops. Martin-Baró focused on the oppression of his fellow Salvadorans, Central Americans, and Latin Americans. It is increasingly apparent that U.S. citizens need Martin-Baró’s insights along with their own special kind of liberation psychology.

War crime? U.S. Troops Fire on Iraqi Detainees (Video)

Aaron Dykes
Infowars.com
April 12, 2011

Shocking video has surfaced from 2005 of U.S. troops firing on captive Iraqi detainees at Camp Bucca following a riot. The soldiers seen in the video unload full force and even (what appears to be) a grenade round from behind barbed wire fences, while some laugh about direct hits.

Four detainees were killed and five others wounded. One soldier, seen in the video, comments that the prisoners are only throwing “dirt balls and a few rocks.” He was possibly trying to quell what appeared to be a near free-for-all shooting spree against captive targets. “Be decisive on what you f—— shoot,” he told the others.

According to Press TV, the “US military tried to cover up the bloodshed, saying the riot happened when the prisoners confronted a search for contraband in the prison.” Instead, the ACLU found that the riot was due to the “desecration of the Holy Qur’an by US troops.”

US troops fire on Iraqi detainees after burning their Holy Quran books in front of them. Amateur footage recently posted on the internet shows American troops firing live ammunition on Iraqi prisoners during a riot in a US detention facility in Iraq back in 2005.

The footage shows US forces using disproportionate force and live rounds against prisoners at the US prison facility Camp Bucca located in Iraq.

The Iraqi detainees were protesting the American troops’ desecration of Islam’s holy book, the Qur’an.

At the time, the US military tried to cover up the bloodshed, saying the riot happened when the prisoners confronted a search for contraband in the prison.

But the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) later revealed that the real cause of the riot was the desecration of the Holy Qur’an by US troops.

Four prisoners were shot dead and five others wounded during the violence.

In 2008, the US military revealed that it held a total of around 20,000 detainees, some 17,000 of whom at Camp Bucca near Basra in southern Iraq, and more than 3,000 others at Camp Cropper in the capital Baghdad.

‘Coast to Coast AM’ 4/11/11 Recap: An Evening With Jesse Ventura and Alex Jones

From: coasttocoastam.com…

Conspiracies & Politics

Date: 04-11-11
Host: George Noory
Guests: Jesse Ventura, Alex Jones

In the first half, Navy SEAL, wrestler, actor, governor, and bestselling author Jesse Ventura discussed his pursuit for the truth about conspiracies and the American political system. “I love my country but not my government,” he commented, adding that the Democrat and Republican parties were akin to going into the soda section of a grocery store and only being offered a choice between Coke and Pepsi, in other words, a two-party dictatorship. The former Minnesota governor said he would consider running as Cong. Ron Paul’s running mate in the 2012 presidential race if Paul would drop out of the Republican party and run as an independent.

The US military is “the strong-arm of the corporations,” and this has been going on a lot longer than you would think, he noted. Ventura talked about conspiracies in the JFK assassination, and the 9-11 attacks, as well as FEMA camps in the United States. For his TV series, Conspiracy Theory, they shot footage at a camp in Texas that had barbed wire facing in, in order to keep people from leaving, he reported. That particular episode only aired once, before being pulled from the schedule, he lamented. Ventura also spoke out in favor of WikiLeaks, and pot legalization.

——————

In the second half, radio host Alex Jones shared his commentary on various current events, and revealed suppressed information. While there is concern about the spread of radiation from Japan, the US adds fluoride to tap water which contains radioactive isotopes, and now the EPA is raising levels of the amount of radiation that is considered safe in food & water, he admonished.

Jones also spoke out against TSA’s security procedures at airports, citing incidents where young children are invasively touched and even drug tested. Further, he warned that “federally funded goon squads” will soon be stationed on the streets, at train stations, and various checkpoints to conduct random security procedures as a way to break our will, and train us to be slaves…”and if Americans will put up with this, they’ll put up with anything.”

Alex Jones’ Experimental Audio Blog

Alex often wakes up at night wanting to take down the thoughts running through his head, so he adopted his audio blog format to try to capture that state of mind. It is admittedly an experiment– he is still a bit dazed, for instance, during the beginning of the blog. Yet in many ways, Alex is more calm and focused at home and in peace, allowing for greater reflection on humanity’s bigger picture.

Later, Alex picks up the recording again on his drive into the studio, analyzing the system as a hollowed-out wall plagued by termites, observing the police state that now surrounds us and commenting on a recent Supreme Court decision that encourages prosecutors to lie and fabricate evidence. Alex then shares some of his encounters in daily life with power-tripping cops, security guards and ordinary individuals. While his on-the-fly rantings may be a different pace from his radio show, there are plenty of golden nuggets throughout.

Let Alex know what you think.

[Incredible Video!] Nightmare Drive Through Fukushima Death Zone

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yp9iJ3pPuL8]Inside report from Fukushima nuclear reactor evacuation zone

Uploaded by on Apr 6, 2011

Fukushima, Japan – The Japanese government has issued the evacuation order on March 12 for the residents living within the 20 kilometer radius of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.

Since then, residents have left their homes, and the “no man land” has been out of touch with the rest of the world.

A Japanese journalist, Tetsuo Jimbo, ventured through the evacuation zone last Sunday, and filed the following video report.

He says that, inside the evacuation zone, homes, building, roads and bridges, which were torn down by Tsunami, are left completely untouched, and the herd of cattle and pet dogs, left behind by the owners, wonders around the town while the radiation level remains far beyond legal limits.

Japanese Experts: Effort is in danger of failing… and reactors too hot to cover in concrete — TEPCO admits there is no end in sight

From: http://enenews.com…

Improvisation, frustration mark Japan’s nuclear crisis at 4 weeks, CNN, April 10, 2011:

[Emphasis Added]

… A month into the crisis, the utility acknowledges, there is no end in sight. …

Some Japanese experts now say the effort is in danger of failing unless Japan seeks more help from international experts to bring it to an end. Tetsunari Iida, an engineer-turned-industry critic, said the situation is “beyond the reach” of Japan’s closely knit nuclear establishment. …

[E]xperts say the overheated fuel rods are likely to have suffered extensive damage, and there is a complication for seemingly every advance. …

Tokyo Electric officials told CNN they can’t say when they’ll be able to restore those normal cooling. …

Satoshi Sato, a Japanese nuclear industry consultant, called the current line of attack a “waste of effort.” Plant instruments are likely damaged and unreliable because of the intense heat that was generated, and pumping more water into the reactors is only making the contamination problem worse, he said.

There is no happy end with their approach,” Sato told CNN. “They must change the approach. That’s something I’m sure of 100 percent.”

After the 1986 Chernobyl accident, the world’s worst to date, the Soviet Union encased the plant’s damaged reactor in a massive concrete sarcophagus. Iida said Fukushima Daiichi’s reactors remain too hot to pour concrete, but he suggested pouring a slurry of minerals and sand over them to carry away heat before encasing them. …

I.
THE IMPEACHMENT POWER

1. Article II, Section IV of the United States Constitution provides: “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

2. According to James Madison’s Records of the Convention, 2:550; Madison, 8 Sept., Mr. George Mason objected to an initial proposal to confine impeachable offenses to treason or bribery:

Why is the provision restrained to Treason & bribery only? Treason as defined in the Constitution will not reach many great and dangerous offences. Hastings is not guilty of Treason. Attempts to subvert the Constitution may not be Treason as above defined–As bills of attainder which have saved the British Constitution are forbidden, it is the more necessary to extend: the power of impeachments.

3. Delegates to the Federal Convention voted overwhelmingly to include “high crimes and misdemeanors” in Article II, Section IV of the United States Constitution specifically to ensure that “attempts to subvert the Constitution” would fall within the universe of impeachable offences. Id.

4. Alexander Hamilton, a delegate to the Federal Convention, characterized impeachable offenses in Federalist 65 as, “offenses which proceed from the misconduct of public men, or in other words, from the violation or abuse of some public trust. They are of a nature which with peculiar propriety may be denominated political, as they relate chiefly to injuries done to society itself.”

5. In 1974, the House Judiciary Committee voted three articles of impeachment against then President Richard M. Nixon for actions “subversive of constitutional government.”

6. Father of the Constitution, James Madison, observed that, “Of all the enemies of public liberty, war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other…. War is the true nurse of executive aggrandizement.”

7. James Madison also instructed that “no nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.”

8. The exclusive congressional power to commence war under Article I, section VIII, clause XI of the Constitution is the pillar of the Republic and the greatest constitutional guarantor of individual liberty, transparency, and government frugality.

II.
THE “DECLARE WAR” CLAUSE

9. Article I, Section VIII, Clause XI of the United States Constitution provides: “The Congress shall have the power … To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;”

10. Article II, Section II, Clause I of the United States Constitution provides: “The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States.”
