And we’ll finally start drilling in the massive, and secret Gull Island oil deposit — maybe as early as next year.

Miller ends challenge in US Senate race

Republican Joe Miller said today, nearly two months after Alaskans concluded voting, that he is giving up his fight challenging the election of Sen. Lisa Murkowski.

Miller thanked his supporters and said the time has come to accept the “practical realities” of court decisions that have been unanimous in ruling against his challenge. He said he would remain a voice for smaller government, less federal spending and other issues favored by the tea party.

At his first formal news conference since Oct. 11, which he left without taking questions, Miller said that he believes he raised legitimate issues in his case against the state’s election officials.

Earlier today, he told an interviewer on Fox News Channel that he thought he didn’t stand a good chance at the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which he termed “liberal.”

Gary D. Fielder is a constitutional and criminal lawyer of 20 years. Mr. Fielder has conducted over 350 jury trials, appeared in Federal District Court, and argued before the Colorado Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. Gary was mandated by the court to represent his client in the courthouse but he refused to be scanned by a body scanner under constitutional grounds that since he was not leaving the city and traveling between jurisdictions and since he had not violated any laws he had a right to not be scanned. The court deputies were surprised to see any dissident reaction since most people mindlessly follow orders and assume that is is legal. It isn’t. It was not approved by the people and Mr. Fielder demanded that they allow him to enter the courthouse.

He was told by deputies that he had a choice not to be scanned and could leave but the truth of the matter is he didn’t have a choice, it was mandatory to be scanned in order to enter the courthouse. Mr. Fielder believes his right to privacy was more important and that consent must be given by the person being scanned since it stores nude photographs of the people who enter the machine. Since consent was not given, the deputies had no right to scan the attorney but unlike travel situations where jurisdiction falls into the hands of the Federal Authorities, they had to let Mr. Fielder into the courthouse.

The deputies don’t realize that it is not a choice to go to court, it is required. They were to comply with his request, not the other way around. This police state style event is exactly what Mr. Fielder specializes in as a constitutional lawyer and he believes his interpretation of the situation should be thoroughly examined. Others are urged to do the same as Mr. Fielder.

I don’t normally rant, but maybe it’s time.


I started reporting on this at least 10 years ago, in my email list, before I had my blog. It just amazes me what the American public puts up with. All we needed was one study. Now we have how many that link fluoride to lowered IQ and even brain damage?

In Anchorage, Alaska, we have pristine water from wells and a beautiful mountain lake, Eklutna Lake, and then we let the government destroy it, putting a known poison into our public drinking water — a substance that Stalin used to dumb down and pacify the prisoners in the Gulag.

And this isn’t like we can easily remove it once they put it in. It’s almost impossible to totally remove. Distillation is the only way that I’m aware of to totally get it out. Perhaps the new Berkey filters can do the job too. But most haven’t even heard of a Berkey. I was told that reverse-osmosis removed 99% of the fluoride, but now I discover that is suspect. And none of these will remove fluoride that enters bodies through the skin while taking showers and baths.

This stuff is nasty. It’s in Psych drugs, pesticides, toothpaste. People are getting way too much, and most of this isn’t even food grade fluoride, but a toxic waste product from manufacturing that corporations would have to pay to toxic waste dump it, otherwise.

And the only way to remove the fluoride is to remove all of the other healthy minerals in the water too. Whereas the chlorine is easy to remove with a simple filter which would leave most of the beneficial minerals in our pristine drinking water could still remain.

And there are many other proven ill effects from consuming fluoride, which I’ve shown in many posts on this site. The data is overwhelming. It just baffles me that we still allow this poisoning of our children and ourselves!

And I’ve said many times before how there seems to be a media ban on even discussing the topic in Anchorage; though, Juneau’s media covered it in depth, and therefore had it removed.

When will Americans say ‘enough is enough?’ Fluoride is known to passify humans, not just lower IQ. So perhaps the fluoride itself is a reason the people won’t step out. But can’t we pull ourselves out of this stupor?

I mentioned this to our mayor, Dan Sullivan, who said he was aware of the issue. Previously, Mark Begich was mayor, and his brother Nick Begich is an expert on fluoride’s mind effects. Nick, we need you on local, Anchorage radio!

Why has there not even been a peep, a squeak? Do we have to lose it all before we realize what hit US — that we should have said something back then?

So much of what is happening to America and Americans is so frustrating to me, because the truth has been out there, but the sheeple (I hope many of you are not) just follow the corporate media’s daily “hardly any Vitamin D is really needed,” and their other anti-Americans garbage.

24 human fluoride IQ studies! 100 animal brain studies! How many more hundreds do we need before we the people demand the government not use our tax dollars to put a known toxic form of fluoride into our public drinking water.

Fluoride in Water Linked to Lower IQ in Children

Is this the end of water fluoridation?

NEW YORK, Dec. 21, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Exposure to fluoride may lower children’s intelligence says a study pre-published in Environmental Health Perspectives, a publication of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (online December 17, 2010).

Fluoride is added to 70% of U.S. public drinking water supplies.

According to Paul Connett, Ph.D., director of the Fluoride Action Network, “This is the 24th study that has found this association, but this study is stronger than the rest because the authors have controlled for key confounding variables and in addition to correlating lowered IQ with levels of fluoride in the water, the authors found a correlation between lowered IQ and fluoride levels in children’s blood. This brings us closer to a cause and effect relationship between fluoride exposure and brain damage in children.”

“What is also striking is that the levels of the fluoride in the community where the lowered IQs were recorded were lower than the EPA’s so-called ‘safe’ drinking water standard for fluoride of 4 ppm and far too close for comfort to the levels used in artificial fluoridation programs (0.7 – 1.2 ppm),” says Connett.

In this study, 512 children aged 8-13 years in two Chinese villages were studied and tested – Wamaio with an average of 2.47 mg/L water fluoride (range 0.57-4.50 mg/L) and Xinhuai averaging 0.36 mg/L (range 0.18-0.76 mg/L).

The authors eliminated both lead exposure and iodine deficiency as possible causes for the lowered IQs. They also excluded any children who had a history of brain disease or head injury and none drank brick tea, known to contain high fluoride levels. Neither village is exposed to fluoride pollution from burning coal or other industrial sources.

About 28% of the children in the low-fluoride area scored as bright, normal or higher intelligence compared to only 8% in the “high” fluoride area of Wamaio.

In the high-fluoride city, 15% had scores indicating mental retardation and only 6% in the low-fluoride city.

The study authors write: “In this study we found a significant dose-response relation between fluoride level in serum and children’s IQ.”

In addition to this study, and the 23 other IQ studies, there have been over 100 animal studies linking fluoride to brain damage (all the IQ and animal brain studies are listed in Appendix 1 in The Case Against Fluoride available online at http://fluoridealert.org/caseagainstfluoride.appendices.html).

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A Valley couple took a childhood memory and turned it into a retirement project. Now, they have a Radio Flyer car to drive around town in.

Fred Keller and Judy Foster worked on the car for 11 months, and finished in August of this year, and their ride has been turning heads.

The base of the wagon is a 1976 Mazda pickup truck that Foster inherited from her dad.

The vehicle turns heads everywhere they go.

“I think the words I hear the most often is ‘awesome’ or ‘cool’ or people go by and give us a ‘hi’ sign,” Foster said.

The wheels are made from hub caps and detergent bottles, and the steering wheel is the actual wheel from a wagon. The handle rises eight feet high.

“They wave at us, they honk at us, they give us a ‘Hi’ sign, a thumbs up. They congregate around us when we park,” she said.

Sometimes people follow them for blocks, waiting for them to pull over to get a closer look.

Both Foster and Keller had Radio Flyer wagons growing up – she in Kansas, he in Kentucky. For them, the childhood memories came flooding back in the monthslong conversion project.

Keller says he and his four siblings used to pull each other in their wagon, and he’d sometimes even hook it up to a “lawn mower and things of that nature to get some extra fun,” he said.

And now, when people see their giant wagon rolling down the street, it brings back their own childhood memories.

“It’s just really happy memories, it seems like,” Foster said. …

So it will go into winter storage, but the couple already has big plans for when warmer weather and community parades return.

“We’re going to be having a blast with it,” he said. “The one thing we both enjoy about the car is just the smiles it puts on people’s faces.”

Alaska Senate Race: Frank Murkowski appointee reinvents Alaska law to mean voter intent

Lt. Gov. Craig Campbell, who oversees Alaska elections, has indicated that he will accept minor misspellings of [Lisa] Murkowski’s name as long as the “voter intent” is clear. “The courts have been very clear for the last 25 years that voter intent is important,” Campbell said in an interview this week with KENI radio host Mike Porcaro. “You do not want to disenfranchise voters over a technicality.”

But Van Flein, [Joe] Miller’s lawyer, is arguing that nothing in state law allows for that kind of discretion. “The statute does not allow for the election board to weigh ‘voter intent,’ ‘voter feelings,’ or ‘voter hopes,’ ” Van Flein wrote in a letter to Fenumiai.

Here’s what the law says:

“A vote for a write-in candidate, other than a write-in vote for governor and lieutenant governor, shall be counted if the oval is filled in for that candidate and if the name, as it appears on the write-in declaration of candidacy, of the candidate or the last name of the candidate is written in the space provided.”

Miller’s lawsuit argues the state waited until this week — “the eleventh hour” — to release a written policy saying it would weigh voter intent in the counting process.

Van Flein said the campaign is asking the court to respond to the complaint by noon today.

A Department of Law spokesman said he hadn’t seen the complaint yet and couldn’t comment.

BIAS ACCUSATION

The website Politics Daily reported that, during a conference call with conservative voters, Miller accused Campbell of bias, saying he was appointed by Murkowski’s father, then-Gov. Frank Murkowski.

My take is the root problem is the once-saved-always-saved doctrine
that Joe Miller’s church openly professes.

In this doctrine, ‘Christians’ can break rules and lie about it, whatever
and still be assured of going to heaven.

I’m convinced that this is the doctrine that is destroying America.
Christians are supposed to be salt and light,
not a mixture of light and darkness.

Tea Party candidate outraged after TV reporters leave accidental voicemail likening his supporters to child molesters

An astonishing message likening the supporters of a Tea Party favourite to child molesters was left on the voicemail of a member of his team by TV reporters.

Joe Miller, an Alaskan candidate, was so stunned to hear his campaign being smeared that he released the audio footage along with a press release containing a transcription.

Former Alaska governor and Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin used the incident to attack broadcasters CBS as the scrap in the run-up to tomorrow’s mid-term elections took its ugliest twist yet.

The message was allegedly left by accident when an employee with KTVA – an affiliate of CBS – called Miller’s campaign spokesman, Randy DeSoto, to discuss Miller’s planned appearance on a newscast, but failed to hang up the phone.

The incriminating conversation among the station’s employees was picked up by the voicemail.

A woman is heard saying at least one supporter at a Miller rally ‘will be a registered sex offender.’

The Miller campaign alleges that another part of the partially audible conversation catches the reporters planning to find and exaggerate an incident in order to embarrass Miller.

In an interview with Fox News on Sunday, Sarah Palin labelled the voicemail conversation ‘sick’ and called the KTVA employees ‘corrupt b—–.’

‘We have the tape that proves it – that the CBS reporters, the affiliate in Alaska, conspired to make up stories about Joe Miller,’ Palin told Fox News.

‘Those are corrupt b——,’ Palin fumed. ‘That’s what is wrong with the media today.’

Palin, who often refers to the press as ‘the lame stream media’, added: ‘I can’t wait till it busts out all over the nation to show what it is that we — kind of what I put up with for two years now with the media — but what Joe Miller is faced with.’

The voicemail is garbled but the audio reads as follows, according to the Miller campaign release:

Once folks who registered started calling in, you could hear the enthusiasm in their voices. All of a sudden they were not helpless anymore. They stood up against a government out of control. Is the Murkowski machine behind the Murkowski dynasty really powerful enough to force the number one rated talk show host in the state off the air on the Friday before the election?  As my newfound friend and supporter Sarah would say, you betcha!

Yes it is true former Channel Two news director John Tracy, with the backing of Murkowski’s campaign manager Kevin Sweeney, convinced KFQD general manager Dennis Bookey to take me off the air just four days before election day.

Bookey will join me on the show today to explain why he did what he did. Tune in to hear his thinking on the decision.

[…]The third party in all of this is Murkowski campaign manager Kevin Sweeney. Tracy admits checking with Sweeney and getting the green light before calling to force me off the air. Is it reasonable to assume Sweeney first checked with Murkowski before giving Tracy the okay? Yes. But we will never know for sure. What we do know is the move was a stupid one and will only hurt the Murkowski campaign.

Because the truth of the matter is what I and the 200 or so who signed up as Senate write-in candidates did is a good thing. The state decided to illegally assist Murkowski by printing a list of write in candidates and these protestors were not going to stand by and do nothing. They were determined to minimize the state’s effort to cheat on behalf of Murkowski. I would assume those throwing tea in Boston Harbor more than 200 years ago were criticized for being inappropriate. But these patriotic Americans filing to run for the Senate are proud to take the heat from the liberal elite class.

The state’s attempt to illegally hand out a write-in list to help Murkowski is the latest example of voters watching their government trample on the law and constitution. With Obama Care, bailouts, the illegal hiring of legislators, the building of a crime lab at five times what it should cost, voters are feeling hopeless, helpless, and without the ability to make a difference. They fear they have no option but to sit by as politicians waste trillions and mortgage our kid’s future.

We must take our country back no matter how hard the fight, no matter how uphill the battle, no matter how long the struggle. Consider the alternative.

Editors note*** Almost a day after the story broke nationally the Daily News finally covered the story whitewashing it of course.***

The Anchorage Daily News is refusing to cover a story that has already hit the national media.

KTVA, Channel 11 News employees were caught on tape conspiring or at the very least hoping they could dig up some dirt on the Miller campaign. You can read about the story on a number of national media outlets website including the Wall Street Journal. The Daily News? Not interested.

Here’s the Wall Street Journal’s version of the story the ADN is censoring.

Employees at a CBS affiliate in Anchorage left an accidental voicemail for an aide to GOP Senate candidate Joe Miller in which they discussed and laughed about the possibility of reporting on the appearance of sex offenders at a Miller rally. And they chatted about responding with a Twitter alert to “any sort of chaos whatsoever” including the candidate being “punched.”

Jerry Bever, general manager for KTVA, said in a statement that a call to Miller spokesman Randy DeSoto to discuss the candidate’s planned appearance on a newscast wasn’t disconnected after the conversation ended. The call took place during a KTVA staff meeting to plan coverage of that evening’s Miller rally in downtown Anchorage.

Mr. Miller is opposed by fellow Republican Lisa Murkowski, who is running as a write-in candidate after being defeated by Mr. Miller in the August primary, and Democrat Scott McAdams.

Mr. Miller’s campaign released the recording over the weekend, saying that KTVA reporters were heard “creating, if not fabricating, two stories” about Mr. Miller.

On Sunday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin fumed about the KTVA recording during an appearance on Fox News Sunday. She told host Chris Wallace that Mr. Miller “has had to put up with up against the GOP machine and the Democrats and the liberal media in Alaska. It’s no wonder that the numbers are tightening in that race.” She also said, “We have the tape, Chris, and I can’t wait till it busts out all over the nation to show what it is that we — kind of what I put up with for two years now with the media — but what Joe Miller is faced with in dealing with somebody who feels — Lisa Murkowski – so entitled to that seat that she and some of her people, including some complicits in the media, will do anything. They will stop at nothing…”

Yesterday, Lisa Murkowski’s hired guns threatened radio host Dan Fagan, and more importantly, the station that airs Fagan’s show, with legal action for allegedly illegal “electioneering.” The station, unlike Murkowski, who is flush with millions of dollars from vested corporate interests, does not have a budget for a legal defense. So it did what any small market station would do when threatened by Beltway lawyers charging $500 to $1000 an hour – they pulled Dan Fagan off the air.

Does all this sound heavy handed? It is. It is an interference with Dan Fagan’s constitutional right to free speech. It is also a shocking indictment against Lisa Murkowski. How low will she go to hold onto power? First, she gets the Division of Elections to change its write-in process – a process that Judge Pfiffner correctly determined had been in place without change for 50 years. She is accepting financial support from federal contractors, an act that is highly questionable and now pending before the FEC. And today, she played her last card. She made it clear that if you disagree with her and encourage others to exercise their civic rights, she’ll take you off the air.

The concept of “electioneering” involves several issues, but typically refers to campaigning at the polls, which is appropriately banned. Under federal law, it can also mean paying for advertising on broadcast media during a federal election cycle, and it requires disclosures if done by groups and corporations. Fagan used satire to mock Murkowski’s write-in efforts and encouraged Alaskans to run as write-in candidates. That is not illegal. That is free speech.

Individuals like Dan Fagan have a fundamental right to speak their minds without threats from the incumbent Senator from Alaska.

Those who say Lisa is more honest than Joe ignore reality

What Joe Miller did with the computers while employed at the North Slope Borough was wrong. It was stupid. He lied and owned up to it only when he was confronted. I’m very disappointed by his bad behavior. But c’mon, 43 years on planet earth, with the level of scrutiny Joe has endured, and this is the worst they can come up with? This needs some perspective.

Stealing

Lisa Murkowski has been a key contributor to the generational theft that our nation is committing against our children and grandchildren. Each child born in the US today is saddled with over $45,000 of debt as their share of the National Debt and up to $75,000 by 2020. Instead of vowing to help reverse this trend, Lisa is eagerly campaigning on the principle of putting our children deeper in hock, promising more “free stuff” as a means of keeping her grip on power.

Lying

Other integrity issues:

·         Promising to accept the will of the voters in the primary.

·         Taking four months to join the repeal movement for Obamacare.

·         The Kenai land deal.

·         Not disclosing her husband’s finances.

·         Personal and family gain from TARP

·         Taking credit and “cutting the ribbon” for projects she voted against.

·         Selling herself as a conservative during the primary.

·         Selling herself as a liberal during the general election.

·         Pretending Social Security and other entitlement programs aren’t

broken and in urgent need of reform.

·         Voting for taxpayer funded abortions and denying it.

·         Co-Sponsoring Climate Change legislation and denying it.

·         Publishing outrageous distortions of Joe Miller’s stand on the issues.

And the list goes on….

Lisa has shown a clear pattern of dishonest behavior and clear pattern refusing to take responsibility for that behavior. It’s hard to believe that Lisa thinks she has any moral high-ground available to criticize Joe Miller for using computers at work.

What the media does not want you to know about Lisa Murkowski

Last week the Lisa Murkowski for US Senate ran smartly into the “If you live in glass houses, don’t throw stones” limit.  The breakdown came when the Miller campaign did a press release about Murkowski’s conflict of interest in voting for TARP in 2008. The conflict is that she has significant holdings in Wall Street banking and investment houses that TARP protected.  Imagine what the media would have done to Miller if he had such a conflict.

For the last month, the Murkowski campaign, friendly straphangers, the local fishwrapper, Channel 2 News, the Alaska Dispatch, unions and native corporations have breathlessly participated in a campaign of personal destruction of Joe Miller.  The basic message is that he was poor starting out (which most of us were), took some help, now opposes that help, and is therefore a hypocrite.  Total dollar amount of all the transgressions real and imagined is in the vicinity of $10,000.

Contrast this with what we know about Lisa Murkowski.

In 2007, Bob Penny sold her a piece of land on the Kenai for a mere $300,000 below the assessed value. Lisa had no problem with that.  She only backed out of the deal after the ensuing media outcry.  What is less well known is that the State of Alaska (and Frank was governor at the time) extended a road a few miles to the vicinity of the property using state capital and grant money.  No favoritism there.  No siree, Bob.  Move along; move along; nothing to see here.

Of course, if you or I or Joe Miller were to get such a Good Deal from our political patrons, all Hell would most certainly break loose.

More troubling is the notion that Lisa has a very real, very serious conflict of interest regarding her vote for TARP in 2008.TARP was the initial Wall Street bailout legislation.  It was demanded by congressional democrats, Hank Paulson (Goldman alumnus), Barack Obama, and the entire entrenched handout operation on Capitol Hill.  Over $700 billion of your dollars and mine were turned into a slush fund that the Obama administration used to take over entire industries (Wall Street, investment, banking, GM, Chrysler).  Lisa voted for it, and said not a word when it was turned into a slush fund for nationalization of industries.

Opensecrets.org reports that the Lisa campaign has taken over $271,000 in campaign donations from Wall Street firms.  These include, but are not limited to Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley, CitiGroup and JP Morgan.

Her campaign disclosure has her invested in Wells Fargo and Morgan Stanley, with up to $330,000 at risk.

You are in Barack Obama’s political bulls-eye.
That’s right. The president is desperate to save his political allies in Congress and is targeting key races around the country that could help him do just that.
And he has Alaska in his crosshairs. After all, what’s at stake in your U.S. Senate race is not just whether the president’s party will control the Senate … but also to what degree your senator will support his vision for America.

You see, it’s no surprise that President Obama’s agenda is all about big government, abortion on demand, and policies that undermine marriage and the traditional family.
But what is a surprise to some is that your current senator, Lisa Murkowski, supports elements of that Obama agenda:

• Sen. Murkowski supports abortion-on-demand and frequently supports tax-funded abortions.
• She supported the D.C. homosexual lobby by voting to expand hate crimes to cover actual or perceived sexual orientation.
• She also, along with the president, slammed the door on parental choice in education by voting against re-funding the D.C. Opportunity Scholarships – which would have given poor parents in D.C.’s failing schools the same choice that President Obama enjoys, while ultimately saving taxpayer dollars.
• And as the fourth most liberal Republican senator, she has played a big role in adding to the record deficits and debt that the Washington establishment has piled on our kids and grandkids.

What’s more, President Obama knows that Sen. Murkowski’s leading opponent, Joe Miller, is opposed to his big-government agenda and is a consistent supporter of the sanctity of life, marriage and family values.

And, as you may know, Democrat Scott McAdams – who trails in the polls – is not only strongly pro-abortion but actually favors a health-care plan to the left of ObamaCare.

That’s why – when my staff and I surveyed the nation – your state was one of only a handful that rose to the top and called for special attention. I had to make sure that our friends like you knew the truth about where your candidates stand and what’s at stake.

So may I ask you to please take the following simple steps in response?
1) Because campaign season is the time when politicians are most attuned to the people, now would be a great time to politely challenge Sen. Murkowski on her positions and especially to thank Joe Miller for his commitment to fiscal restraint and family values.
2) Please forward this information to other people in Alaska – perhaps to family, church friends or others who share your values – so they, too, can make a difference. That small step can have a huge impact. Please do that today.
3) Be sure to vote your values in this crucial election year!
