Fluoridation May Not Prevent Cavities, Scientific Review Shows

If you’re like two-thirds of Americans, fluoride is added to your tap water for the purpose of reducing cavities. But the scientific rationale for putting it there may be outdated, and no longer as clear-cut as was once thought.
Water fluoridation, which first began in 1945 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and expanded nationwide over the years, has always been controversial. Those opposed to the process have argued—and a growing number of studies have suggested—that the chemical may present a number of health risks, for example interfering with the endocrine system and increasing the risk of impaired brain function; two studies in the last few months, for example, have linked fluoridation to ADHD and underactive thyroid. Others argue against water fluoridation on ethical grounds, saying the process forces people to consume a substance they may not know is there—or that they’d rather avoid.
One thing the review definitively concluded: Fluoridation causes fluorosis.
This condition occurs when fluoride interferes with the cells that produce enamel, creating white flecks on the teeth. On average, about 12 percent of people in fluoridated areas have fluorosis bad enough that it qualifies as an “aesthetic concern,” according to the review. According to Sheldon, that’s a “huge number.” A total of 40 percent of people in fluoridated areas have some level of fluorosis, though the majority of these cases are likely unnoticeable to the average person.
In a smaller percentage of cases, fluorosis can be severe enough to cause structural damage, brown stains and mottling to the tooth.
Sheldon says that if fluoridation were to be submitted anew for approval today, “nobody would even think about it” due to the shoddy evidence of effectiveness and obvious downside of fluorosis.
There is also a definite issue of inequality when it comes to fluorosis. Blacks and Mexican-Americans have higher rates of both moderate and severe forms of the condition.

Historically, animals were the only living organisms (aside from plants) that were used in the production of vaccines.
It wasn’t until mid-1900s that the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine used tissue from human organs. [1] Vaccines, in order to be produced, need a cell culture to grow. Often, the culture will come from animals, eggs, or other similar mediums that pose very little ethical concerns for most people, barring animal rights’ activists. The question still remains, however: Do vaccines contain aborted fetal tissue?
Vaccines and Aborted Fetal Tissue
The initial experiments of the MMR vaccine involved growing rubella in a cell culture utilizing fibroblasts from the lungs of an aborted caucasian female fetus. Scientists found that the virus, among other viruses, grew well in the cell culture (termed WI-38). The virus was grown at an extremely low temperature in order to adapt to growing in that temperature so that, when injected into the body at room temperature, failed to expand. Still, the virus, when introduced into the body, produced an effective immune response that was just potent enough to provide a protective mechanism for the body.
So, the initial production of the MMR vaccine did in fact use aborted fetal tissue for its development. That being said, no new fetal tissue has been introduced to this virus, and the current vaccines out today rely solely on the single tissue of the aborted fetus from the 1960s. Regardless of this fact, it still raises serious ethical concerns among religious leaders and health advocates alike. Many individuals in certain religious movements are recommended to urge pharmaceutical companies to develop alternate vaccines that in no way are developed with human cell lines.
Vaccines Featuring Fetal Tissue
The MMR vaccine is not the only one that initially used aborted fetal tissue. Here is a list of the vaccines that used human cell lines for its development:
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- Zoster (shingles)
- Polio
- Hepatitis A

Have you noticed all the recent news stories about gender confusion? An alarming number of people claim to feel either incorrectly gendered, or altogether genderless. From “Chaz” Bono, to Warren Beatty’s daughter-turned-son, to the Japanese guy who did not feel affiliated with either gender so he amputated his, um, unwanted parts (and then fed them to paying guests), this bizarre trend seems to be accelerating.
Could changing hormone profiles be the culprit?
The phytoestrogens found in soy foods are a controversial area of research. In a number of studies, they have been shown to adversely affect reproductive health, sexual development, and hormone levels in animals (see research below). Soy was never consumed by our ancestors, yet today it is virtually a mainstay in the American diet, found in everything from mayonnaise to margarine. It in nearly every processed food in the supermarket to such an extent that it’s nearly inescapable. According to Iowa State University researchers, soybeans account for 80 percent or more of the edible fats and oils consumed in the United States. That’s a lot of soy!
Conspiracists may wish to note the interesting history of soy’s rise to prominence. In the 1920’s, fledgling soy producers couldn’t give the stuff away. (“We coaxed and forced feeders to try the meal. We hauled meal all over the state, gave it to them free. We sent it to experiment stations. We exhibited it at state and county fairs; we made soybean flour and sent samples to bakers, had it blended at a flour mill with wheat flour, and gave five-pound bags to hundreds of grocery stores who would consent to accept it.” All to no avail; that particular company went out of business).
Soy was considered only fit for hay and animal forage until the 1970’s and 80’s. That’s when Dwayne Andreas, aka “the Soybean King,” used his influence as the CEO of Archers Daniels Midland to promote the use of soybeans as human food in nearly every corner of the globe.
Andreas is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, and regularly attends the Bilderberger conferences. He is also one of the biggest political donors in the US, if not the world, having bribed / paid off / laundered donated millions of dollars to to everyone from Richard Nixon to George W. Bush to Bill Clinton to Jesse Jackson, a and countless foreign leaders.
Andreas spent decades schmoozing, rubbing elbows with foreign kings and despots, and giving away huge sums of money to get all those leaders to put soy onto their subject
plates. Thanks in part to his efforts, soybeans are now consumed globally as far away as Mexico, Korea, Germany, the former Soviet Union, and… well, everywhere. ADM and the other global agribusiness giants have successfully managed to market soybean products and soybean oil across the globe where they are now consumed daily by literally billions of people.
The bad news is that evidence suggests all that soy may be emasculating the world’s men and reducing the fertility of its women, not to mention making people fatter. Along with estrogenic plastics and pesticides, soy may be contributing to people losing their sexual identity to such an extent that they begin chopping off their private parts, pairing up in ways that produce fewer children, and being all around more angsty, more passive, and less feisty.

Indeed, it is well known that genistein, an isoflavone found in soybeans and soy products, mimics the actions of estrogens and that the fetal [testicle] is responsive to estrogens….Using organ cultures [from] mice we show that [soy] inhibits testosterone secretion by fetal Leydig cells [the predominant source of the male sex steroid hormone testosterone] during early fetal development within the “masculinization programming window”. This effect occurs… at a concentration which is compatible with human consumption…. These results suggest that fetal exposure to phytoestrogens can affect the development and function of the male reproductive system.”

New Report Shows That The Most Popular Weed-Killer In The U.S. Probably Causes Cancer
The most popular weed-killer in the United States — and possibly the world — “probably” causes cancer, according to a new report from the World Health Organization (WHO).
Published Thursday in the journal The Lancet Oncology, the report focuses on a chemical called glyphosate, invented by Monsanto back in 1974 as a broad-spectrum herbicide. It’s the active ingredient in Roundup, a popular product used mostly in commercial agriculture production. Roundup is particularly good for genetically modified crops, which can be bred to resist damage from the product while it kills the weeds surrounding it.
In the U.S., glyphosate is not considered carcinogenic. The Environmental Protection Agency’s current position is that “there is inadequate evidence to state whether or not glyphosate has the potential to cause cancer from a lifetime exposure in drinking water.” In the wake of Thursday’s report, however, the EPA said it “would consider” the U.N. agency’s findings. …
Aside from debate over its cancer-causing effects, the active ingredient in Roundup has been shown to be harmful to humans in other ways. When exposed to heightened levels long-term, the EPA says glyphosate can cause kidney damage, and could have harmful reproductive effects. Acute exposure can cause congestion of the lungs and an increased breathing rate, according to EPA.
