Message from Ron (2/8/08)
Whoa! What a year this has been. And what achievements we have had. If I may quote Trotsky of all people, this Revolution is permanent. It will not end at the Republican convention. It will not end in November. It will not end until we have won the great battle on which we have embarked. Not because of me, but because of you. Millions of Americans — and friends in many other countries — have dedicated themselves to the principles of liberty: to free enterprise, limited government, sound money, no income tax, and peace. We will not falter so long as there is one restriction on our persons, our property, our civil liberties. How much I owe you. I can never possibly repay your generous donations, hard work, whole-hearted dedication and love of freedom. How blessed I am to be associated with you. Carol, of course, sends her love as well.
Let me tell you my thoughts. With Romney gone, the chances of a brokered convention are nearly zero. But that does not affect my determination to fight on, in every caucus and primary remaining, and at the convention for our ideas, with just as many delegates as I can get. But with so many primaries and caucuses now over, we do not now need so big a national campaign staff, and so I am making it leaner and tighter. Of course, I am committed to fighting for our ideas within the Republican party, so there will be no third party run. I do not denigrate third parties — just the opposite, and I have long worked to remove the ballot-access restrictions on them. But I am a Republican, and I will remain a Republican.
I also have another priority. I have constituents in my home district that I must serve. I cannot and will not let them down. And I have another battle I must face here as well. If I were to lose the primary for my congressional seat, all our opponents would react with glee, and pretend it was a rejection of our ideas. I cannot and will not let that happen.
In the presidential race and the congressional race, I need your support, as always. And I have plans to continue fighting for our ideas in politics and education that I will share with you when I can, for I will need you at my side. In the meantime, onward and upward! The neocons, the warmongers, the socialists, the advocates of inflation will be hearing much from you and me.
Sincerely,
Ron

A few weeks before Super Tuesday, my friend Howard Phillips asked me who I thought the Republican Presidential nominee would be. I predicted John McCain. With the results of Super Tuesday now history, most political pundits are also predicting that the Arizona senator will gain the Republican nomination for President. And with Mitt Romney now out of the race, McCain is all but assured the nomination. One did not need to be a seer to figure this one out.
For one thing, President George W. Bush all but destroyed whatever conservative influence was left in the GOP. Peggy Noonan is right about that.
Furthermore, the capitulation and compromise of principle by the Religious Right has also significantly sealed the death warrant of conservatism within the GOP. For the sake of not offending George Bush or losing whatever seat at the table the various leaders of the Religious Right felt they had, their spirit of resistance waned to the point that the very name “Christian Conservative” has lost all meaning, not to mention power.
As a result, Republicans have come to accept Big Government, runaway federal spending, the Welfare State, the Warfare State, the Nanny State, empire-building, gargantuan trade and budget deficits, warrantless eavesdropping, the loss of 4th Amendment rights, ad infinitum, ad nauseam.
Therefore, how could anyone expect the vast majority of Republican voters to suddenly rediscover a huge commitment of conviction to conservative principles? Add to that question the fact that there is only one true conservative/constitutionalist who made it to the Republican primaries: Congressman Ron Paul. And virtually the entire media and political establishment pummeled Congressman Paul to the point that his limited success in the race can be categorized as nothing short of miraculous.Make no mistake about it: the establishment wants one of its own to succeed George Bush. In order for that to happen, they must manipulate the primaries to ensure that, no matter who wins in November, one of their fellow elitists will still wield power in Washington, D.C. On the Democratic side, both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama fit the bill. And on the Republican side, John McCain is the ultimate insider.
A long-standing member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), John McCain will pursue the goals and ambitions of the globalists with a vengeance. As Pat Buchanan said recently, “John McCain will make Dick Cheney look like Gandhi.” Buchanan is right on with that prediction.

Toxicology tests have now confirmed the cause of Heath Ledger’s death. He was killed by a deadly combination of FDA-approved medications prescribed to him by his doctors. The drugs found in Ledger’s system were OxyContin (a painkiller), Valium, Xanax (an antidepressant), Restoril, Unisom and Vicodin. This toxicology report ends any speculation that Ledger might have been killed by taking recreational drugs. The cause of death is now clearly FDA-approved pharmaceuticals.
As NaturalNews previously reported, FDA-approved pharmaceuticals kill at least 100,000 Americans each year.

REBELLION BREWING IN DEMOCRATIC AND REPUBLICAN RANKS
The untold story emerging from the Super Tuesday primaries is not that McCain has the Republican nomination almost wrapped up, or that the Democrats are evenly split in their support for Obama and Clinton. The real story is that the manipulation of the election process has become so obvious to the thinking portion of each party that a latent rebellion is brewing. More and more people are cynical and angry over media bias, carefully timed big name endorsements that sway ignorant voters, and back room party deals (yet to come) that are specifically aimed at thwarting the ever-growing dissatisfaction of voters with the hollow promises of change. Those that spend a considerable amount of time pondering the issues and candidate positions (both real and feigned) are in the minority of each party. But, they are at least twice as active as passive and manipulated voters–and they don’t like what they see ahead. Is this growing rebellion enough to stop the establishment process of limiting our choice to Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum? Probably not, at least not yet, but dissatisfaction levels are growing so much that if the establishment forces John McCain and Hillary Clinton upon the nation, an independent challenge is probable. This week I’ll talk about the options.

Try this. Ask fellow “conservatives” who our next president should be. After you hear the candidate’s name ask: “Why?”
Nine times out of ten, you’ll hear some mutterings like: “He’s really conservative” or “We need a Christian in the White House” or “He’s the best qualified.” Ask for some specifics and you’re likely to see eyes shift downward as the subject is changed.
The truth of the matter is, most people are woefully uninformed and are buying the lying of ‘front-runner’ candidates and their media sock puppets.
Last weekend at a department store, I heard two sales women mention Ron Paul. I listened to the following comments as I poked through the sweater racks.
Woman #1: “He’s so creepy, I just kept taking that poll online ‘til it finally showed I was for someone else.”
Woman #2:” I know, he’s really a weirdo. It came up for Ron Paul for me, too, but I would never vote for him.”
For one moment, I questioned the wisdom of women’s suffrage.
Along with the media embargo on Congressman Ron Paul’s silver medal showing in the silver state as well as his unprecedented fund-raising, many Americans refuse to acknowledge the one, true constitutionalist in the GOP presidential race. Many folks twist themselves into pretzels trying to defend candidates who do not represent them at all on the major issues and whose track records should be cause for serious concern.

Some voters will bemoan the problem of illegal immigration in one breath and in the next breath tell you they want former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee to be president.
Obviously, these people have not done any homework on their candidate of choice or they would know Huckabee created a veritable sanctuary state in Arkansas. While governor, he courted a cheap, illegal workforce for corporate cronies at Tyson Foods and WalMart, thus lowering the pay scale for legal residents of that state who then found jobs harder than ever to come by.
At the same time, Huckabee provided taxpayer-funded office space to the Mexican government, pushed healthcare jackpots for illegals and likened the current population of illegal aliens to slaves brought here from Africa, all the while suggesting that those who had a problem with the onslaught might be “racist.”
Huckabee’s presidential “immigration reform” plan is to have those here illegally go back to their home countries for one day and then come back lickety- split all legal-like. The so-called ‘touch-back” program is nothing less than amnesty. This, Huckabee touts as “tough” immigration policy.

This whole idea that they can keep it together is an illusion.

Media Smeared Paul For Racism, Ignored McCain’s “Gook” Comments
Corporate establishment machine protects its cherished war candidate
A shining example of how the media engaged in a witch hunt as part a coordinated campaign to sink the presidential campaign of Congressman Ron Paul is when they attacked him for vaguely racist comments made by other people in the 80’s, while completely ignoring the fact that Republican frontrunner John McCain openly said he hated “gooks” more recently.
James Kirchick’s New Republic hit piece, which was echoed by every sector of the establishment media for weeks on end, was a vitriolic, biased, and agenda-driven smear attack that lumped in half-truths, outright lies and guilt by association in an attempt to demonize Ron Paul as a racist.
Bear in mind that the comments Kirchick based his article on were largely drawn from newsletters put out in the 1980’s of which Ron Paul had no editorial control over. Despite the fact that the comments were made by other people, Ron Paul apologized anyway and yet the feeding frenzy that ensued blatantly exposed the fact that the establishment had been chomping at the bit to seize on anything negative to attack the Congressman with.
Meanwhile, John “Keating Five”, ahem I mean John “anti-corruption” McCain, disgracefully said he hated “gooks” in public for assembled reporters to hear during his previous presidential campaign in 2000.
“I hated the gooks. I will hate them as long as I live,” McCain said on his campaign bus.

If John McCain doesn’t get 51% of the delegates, then a brokered convention would occur, where the delegates could vote for whomever they wish.
In the meantime, if the truth about McCain (unfit to command) would sufficiently come out and/or the economy really tanks and/or another war breaks out and talk of a draft escalates, Ron Paul could win in a brokered convention.
If you’ve followed what FOX News has done to Ron Paul during this election, this is hillarious!

Amazing 1988 Ron Paul Interview: American Power Structure Ron Paul knows about the CIA drug running
From: Daily News Miner
Texas Rep. Ron Paul, who is seeking the Republican nomination for president, called Alaska a key state in his campaign during a brief teleconference Friday night.
“Alaska is very important to this campaign,” he said from the campaign trail in Colorado. “It’s the most freedom-loving state we have. If we get people with this sentiment out to vote, we’ll get attention from around the country and around the world.” …
Paul, who advocates a strict interpretation of the Constitution, said Second Amendment rights have been eroded over time as well.
“It wasn’t put in the Constitution so you could shoot rabbits or go hunting,” he said. “It was that so that if we ever have to face tyranny in this country, the people will be armed.”

WWBA 1040AM NewsTalk host, Mark Larsen, based in Tampa Bay, FL, snapped at Mitt Romney for laughing at Ron Paul and his policies. “Right there, he just lost my vote,” Larsen told listeners on the day of the Florida primary.
Larsen then declared he would be voting for Ron Paul despite his chances of becoming president because he’s “had it with these elitist f-‘s,” choking back profanity in response to Romney’s comments.
“You know this nervous chuckling and mocking of a guy who speaks the truth. The man who told you the truth more than any other in those debates– who wasn’t afraid to make enemies and tell the truth– was Ron Paul. And they laughed at him,” Larsen ranted.
“I sure am laughing at Ron Paul, I gotta tell you,” Romney told the NewsTalk host. “Anybody who says we gotta get rid of the CIA and FBI and that the reason we’re attacked by jihadists is because of us is a guy who deserves a little bit of humor to come his way.”
A furious Larsen said, “Keep laughing, Mitt. Talk to you later.”
“After hearing him chuckle like that, I’m going straight to that voting booth this morning and voting for Ron Paul,” Larsen proclaimed.
“It’s not funny. It’s absolutely not funny. I’ve got over 4,000 dead soldiers because of Iraq, which was ill conceived– the premise was wrong; they lied. I’ve got over 20,000 injured coming back. I’ve got a $1 trillion blown on that debacle, and he’s laughing about it,” Larsen said about Romney.

The End of Dollar Hegemony
by Ron Paul by Ron Paul
Before the US House of Representatives, February 15, 2006
A hundred years ago it was called “dollar diplomacy.” After World War II, and especially after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1989, that policy evolved into “dollar hegemony.” But after all these many years of great success, our dollar dominance is coming to an end.

PULLING STRINGS FOR SENATOR McCAIN
The US political circus is an amazing, if not agonizing, show to watch. First, we saw Rudy Giuliani, the establishment’s pre-election favorite (only because the media said so) go from front runner status to a disastrous showing in the primaries–garnering less votes than Rep. Ron Paul, who was systematically denied any meaningful media coverage at all. It appears the public is either fickle or the media polls were just plain lying–perhaps both. Then we saw John McCain with almost no support suddenly rise to front runner status after a barrage of big name newspaper and personality endorsements so unanimous that there had to have existed some guiding hand. The establishment boost for McCain is still ongoing in a big way and is intended to gain McCain a majority of delegates before the convention convenes–which would eliminate a brokered convention where deals and concession have to be made in order to gain that majority. In an up or down vote between McCain or Romney, without Huckabee to draw away votes from Romney, McCain would lose. That’s what the king makers are trying to avoid by manipulating the public during the primaries. It’s time to let America know more about the real McCain. Believe me, he is no hero.

While President Bush’s approval rating falls to record lows, the torch is being prepared to pass on to Hillary Clinton, with full endorsement from the global elite. With support from European nobility, Clinton has been selected as the candidate of choice for the continuation of globalist policies. Bill Clinton, being a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, as well as the secretive Bilderberg group, was the creme de la creme establishment candidate. His wife, Hillary, who likely attended the 2006 Bilderberg conference in Ottawa Canada, now promises to follow in his path.

Starting in the early days of the Cold War (late 40’s), the CIA began a secret project called Operation Mockingbird, with the intent of buying influence behind the scenes at major media outlets and putting reporters on the CIA payroll, which has proven to be a stunning ongoing success. The CIA effort to recruit American news organizations and journalists to become spies and disseminators of propaganda, was headed up by Frank Wisner, Allen Dulles, Richard Helms, and Philip Graham (publisher of The Washington Post). Wisner had taken Graham under his wing to direct the program code-named Operation Mockingbird and both have presumably committed suicide.
Media assets will eventually include ABC, NBC, CBS, Time, Newsweek, Associated Press, United Press International (UPI), Reuters, Hearst Newspapers, Scripps-Howard, Copley News Service, etc. and 400 journalists, who have secretly carried out assignments according to documents on file at CIA headquarters, from intelligence-gathering to serving as go-betweens. The CIA had infiltrated the nation’s businesses, media, and universities with tens of thousands of on-call operatives by the 1950’s. CIA Director Dulles had staffed the CIA almost exclusively with Ivy League graduates, especially from Yale with figures like George Herbert Walker Bush from the “Skull and Crossbones” Society.
Many Americans still insist or persist in believing that we have a free press….

As a Christian and an ordained minister, I am appalled that too many Christians are so gullible that they would support a candidate without doing some research. The information I found on Huckabee is shocking. First, it is not my place to judge him or any other Christian for what they do in their private life, but the Bible tells us that by their fruits we shall know them. We should be very cautious of electing someone just because he or she proclaims to be a Christian. We would be better off electing someone who has integrity; have not Jimmy Cater, Bill Clinton, and George Bush fooled us enough? Was it not Bush who stated that the Muslims pray to the same God as Christians?
Therefore, here are some of the facts:
Mike Huckabee gave a speech before the Council of Foreign Relations (CFR) on September 28, 2007. A short time after this, he started receiving Mainstream media attention he has also stated in an interview with one the major news media that he relies on advice concerning foreign affairs from Richard Haas. Richard Haas is the president of the CFR since 1993. For those not familiar with the CFR, its goal is to bring us under a global one-world dictatorship; this organization was founded by Rockefeller in 1921.
While Huckabee was Governor of Arkansas, the LT. Governor was Winthrop Rockefeller Jr. this may just be coincidence or not.We know in God’s word that He hates One world government the reason for the destruction of the tower of Babel. In addition, we know that a world dictator will someday control the world through the mark of the beast. So why would any Christian support any candidate Christian or not, who has ties to the CFR?
All the candidates both democrats and republicans either are members of the CFR or have close ties to CFR with the exception Ron Paul. As far as I see it, he is the only candidate that has not bought and paid for by the globalist elites. This is why he gets so little Mainstream media coverage.
