Contrary to the conventional belief, sipping a cup of hot coffee could work wonders for your heart by regulating heart rhythms, thereby reducing the number of visits to doctor, reveals a new study.

Drinking one to two cups of coffee per day is good for the heart, researchers have found.

In fact, even those with high blood pressure can stay healthier by drinking a cup of coffee daily, the study proposed. …

It was found that drinking a cup of coffee everyday improves elasticity of the arteries, which can ward off heart disease, the Daily Mail reported.

“People who reported four or more cups a day had almost an 18% reduction in the risk of being hospitalized for rhythm disturbances,” says Arthur Klatsky, a senior cardiology [the clinical study and practice of treating the heart.] consultant at Kaiser Permanente Division of Research in California.

Fifty six percent of people who drank between one and two cups of coffee a day had best arterial health, with their blood vessels behaving like those found in younger people. …

Greek coffee is traditionally boiled and not filtered so is higher in compounds that prevent heart disease, Dr Chrysohoou averred.

Bombs, explosions, secondary explosions, explosive devices….how many more times do we need to hear these words being said by 9/11 witnesses before we start asking questions about what really happened on that awful day?

All of the individual news reports in this video can be found on YouTube and other video sites. This video shows that many actual 9/11 witnesses heard and saw explosions going off inside the towers, long before they actually fell. These witnesses include police, firemen and reporters.

And what is even more shocking is the fact that all of this has been largely ignored by the mainstream media after the day itself.

For those debunkers who wish to keep saying that the explosions were caused by gas lines, please save your breath. All of the three buildings that were blown up on 9/11 were all Class-A buildings. This means that gas lines were not permitted because the buildings had to comply with the safety regulations set out for Class-A buildings. So there were no gas lines!

We really need to wake up to the facts and ask questions. If we don’t, what does that say about us?

During the campaign, Palin lashed out at the slightest provocation, sometimes screaming at staff members and throwing objects. Witnessing such behavior, one aide asked Todd Palin if it was typical of his wife [Todd’s statement is typical of one who enables the abuser in a dysfunctional family – ed.]. He answered, “You just got to let her go through it… Half the stuff that comes out of her mouth she doesn’t even mean.” When a campaign aide gingerly asked Todd whether Sarah should consider taking psychiatric medication to control her moods, Todd responded that she “just needed to run and work out more.” Her anger kept boiling over, however, and eventually the fits of rage came every day. A campaign aide remembers that one of the Palin children found her mother’s public displays of piety especially grating. Though Palin prayed and read the Bible every night [a former staffer who shared a hotel room with Sarah told me that when Sarah went to bed, she opened her Bible and almost immediately closed it, apparently so she could say she read her Bible daily – ed.], aides never saw the family join her for devotionals. “You’re just putting on a show. You’re so fake,” one of the children said when Palin made a point of praying in front of other people. “This is not who you are. Why are you pretending to be something you’re not?”

Tonight, Aug. 31 I got a smile on my face watching Jay Leno. Barney Frank was a guest and while being somewhat critical of Obama’s earlier address to the nation he mentioned Ron Paul, stating something to the effect that it was the two of them who were REALLY trying to bring the troops home.

Pure awesomeness! I find it extra special anytime Ron Paul is mentioned in a positive light to a large audience during an entertainment program. The Ron Paul mention comes at around 2:22:

P.S. I just had a thought – I think we should all pull a Betty White and campaign hard to get Ron Paul on SNL. A leading congressional opponent of the Iraq war welcomed the formal end of US combat operations on Tuesday but warned of the increased reliance on private mercenaries.

“The President is rightly celebrating that less American troops are in harm’s way,” Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) said Tuesday night. “I join the President in that celebration.”

“We need to dispense with the fiction, though, that this announcement in any way diminishes our financial or resource commitment to Iraq,” he continued.

“Fifty thousand ‘non-combat’ troops will remain, and that number does not include the State Department’s plan to double the amount of mercenaries through next year–whose only loyalty is to the highest bidder–and fortify numerous ‘enduring presence posts’ throughout the country. While the Tea Party will be out supporting Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin this weekend, you wonder how many of them will be in full support of more wars and paying more interest to a group of untouchable and unauditable private bankers otherwise known as the FED? This is precisely what Ron Paul is asking the American public to consider when looking at the Tea Party leaders and see if they really stand for what they believe in.

Amid much fanfare last week the last supposed combat troops left Iraq as the administration touted the beginning of the end of the Iraq war and a change in the role of the United States in that country. Considering the continued public frustration with the war effort and with the growing laundry list of broken promises, this was merely another one of those administration operations in political maneuvering and semantics in order to convince an increasingly war-weary public that the Iraq war is at last ending.

However, military officials confirm that we are committed to intervention in that country for years to come, and our operations have in fact changed minimally, if really at all. After eight long draining years I have to wonder if our government even understands what it is to end a war anymore. The end of a war to most people means all the troops come home, out of harm’s way. It means we stop killing people and getting killed. It means we stop sending troops and armed personnel over and draining our treasury for military operations in that foreign land. But much like the infamous “mission accomplished” moment of the last administration, this end of the war also means none of those things.

50,000 U.S. troops in Iraq, and they’re still receiving combat pay. One soldier was killed in Basra just last Sunday, after the supposed end of combat operations, and the same day 5,000 men and women of the 3rd Armored Cavalry Division at Fort Hood were deployed to Iraq. Their mission will be anything but desk duty. Among other things they will accompany the Iraqi military on dangerous patrols, continue to be involved in the hunt for terrorists, and provide air support for the Iraqi military. They should be receiving combat pay because they will be serving a combat role. Of course the number of private contractors who perform many of the same roles as troops, but for a lot more money, is expected to double. So this is a funny way of ending combat operations in Iraq. We are still meddling in their affairs and we are still putting our men and women in danger and we are still spending money we don’t have. This looks more like an escalation than a drawdown to me.

The ongoing war in Iraq takes place against a backdrop of economic crises at home, as fresh numbers indicate that our economic situation is as bad as ever and getting worse. Our foreign policy is based on the illusion that we are actually paying for it. What we’re doing is borrowing and printing the money to maintain our presence overseas. Americans are seeing the cost of this irresponsible approach as our economic decline continues.

Unemployed Americans have been questioning a policy that shifts hundreds of billions of dollars overseas while their own communities crumble and their frustration is growing. An end to this type of a foreign policy is way overdue. A return to the traditional American foreign policy of active private engagement and non-interventionism is the only alternative that can restore our moral and fiscal health.

One million “visits” are made by clients every month to brothels in the country who channel some $450 million annually into the local sex industry, according to a report presented Wednesday to the Knesset Committee of Inquiry into Women Trafficking.

The committee dedicated its session on Wednesday to customers, which committee chair Zehava Gal-On (Meretz) termed the “undercover partner” to women traffickers.
