Unrelenting ‘Ron Paul 2008’ Basher, Sean Hannity, Finally Admits ‘Conspiracy People’ were Right About Global Governance & Global Currency

Is there any gold inside Fort Knox, the world’s most secure vault?

Many gold investors suspect that the US has periodically attempted to flood the market with Fort Knox gold to keep prices low and the dollar high – perhaps through international swap agreements with other central banks….

From: The Times

It is said to be the most impregnable vault on Earth: built out of granite, sealed behind a 22-tonne door, located on a US military base and watched over day and night by army units with tanks, heavy artillery and Apache helicopter gunships at their disposal. …

For several prominent investors and at least one senior US congressman it is not the security of the facility in Kentucky that is a cause of concern: it is the matter of how much gold remains stored there – and who owns it.

They are worried that no independent auditors appear to have had access to the reported $137 billion (£96 billion) stockpile of brick-shaped gold bars in Fort Knox since the era of President Eisenhower. After the risky trading activities at supposedly safe institutions such as AIG they want to be reassured that the gold reserves are still the exclusive property of the US and have not been used to fund risky transactions. …

“It has been several decades since the gold in Fort Knox was independently audited or properly accounted for,” said Ron Paul, the Texas Congressman and former Republican presidential candidate, in an e-mail interview with The Times. “The American people deserve to know the truth.”

Mr Paul has so far attracted 21 co-sponsors for a Bill to conduct an independent audit of the Federal Reserve System – including its claims to Fort Knox gold – but an organisation named the Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee (GATA) is taking a different approach. …

Many gold investors suspect that the US has periodically attempted to flood the market with Fort Knox gold to keep prices low and the dollar high – perhaps through international swap agreements with other central banks – but facts remain scarce and the US Treasury denies that any such meddling has gone on for at least the past decade.

Ron Paul: Globalists Deliberately & Openly Using Crisis to Advance World Government — “The Immoral, Unconstitutional, Bizarre Act of Destroying the Value of the Money”

Ron Paul on Glenn Beck Radio 3/23/2009

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKdt6yuPwFA]

Ron Paul: “This is the BIG One! … Between One and Four Years the $Dollar$ Will IMPLODE”

From: Financial Times, Believer in small government predicts 15-year depression, March 22 2009

Unfortunately, cashing out will not protect the value of investments, he [Congressman Ron Paul] insists, because “fiat” currencies will all decline over the coming years as measures to try to haul the world economy out of recession fail. “The current stimulus measures are making things a lot worse,” says Mr Paul.

“The US government just won’t allow the correction the economy needs.” He cites the mini-depression of 1921, which lasted just a year largely because insolvent companies were allowed to fail. “No one remembers that one. They’ll remember this one, because it will last 15 years.”

At some stage – Mr Paul estimates it will be between one and four years – the dollar will implode. “The dollar as a reserve standard is done,” he says. …

A deep recession had only been avoided up until now because of the efforts of successive governments to reflate the economy. But there are no more policy levers left, says Mr Paul. This is the big one.”

Unsurprisingly, Mr Paul has been viewed as a crank in Washington, dismissed as a doomsayer and a party-pooper. His bill early this year to abolish the Federal Reserve was largely ignored. And his adherence to the Austrian School of economics, which predicted that fiat currencies would destabilise the world economy, has won him few friends.

People don’t like the Austrians because they are against big government, against armies and against the welfare state. To accept Austrian economics, you have to accept limitations of credit expansion and that is what has kept the government and financial firms in business for so long.”

However, his views are, for the first time, being taken seriously in Washington. Like another politician who recently aimed for high office, Al Gore, Mr Paul’s uncomfortable truths are starting to be deliberated at elevated political levels. “Before last summer, in meetings nobody really knew I was there. Now they often defer to me on economic matters. But you won’t catch any of them admitting that publicly – not yet at least.”

He believes that markets will fall much further and inflation rise much higher before his fellow politicians recognise that the system has failed. “We are likely to see an inflation depression,” Mr Paul says.

“In the 1970s, we had stagflation, but not depression. Inflation depression is what you see in Zimbabwe.”

Ever see “Mr. Smith (Jimmy Stewart) Goes to Washington?” Ron, still, very much reminds me of Jimmy’s radical stand before Congress; though, he’s mellowed considerably. But I have to put in a disclaimer here.

Warning: this is trash TV. Chain-smoking-the-drug-nicotene ‘host,’ Morton Downey, Jr. goes so far as almost spitting at Ron at one point, because Ron Paul wants drugs to be constitutionally controlled by the states, just like alcohol and tobacco. And the videographer takes a cheap shot in response.

People sure do love to hate. And that’s how they marketed the show. Imagine Americans shouting at their TVs—at Ron Paul! Yikes!!

But I think it’s great to see Ron’s courage under fire 21 years ago. And millions of Americans got to hear for the first time that Uncle Sam is a gargantuan drug dealer. The ‘War on Drugs’ is mainly a war on the CIA’s competition. This is largely how they fund their black-ops projects that is in part destroying the USA and our reputation worldwide.

Hmmm. Wonder why the mainstream media never has reports this. It’s not just heroin. America’s getting jacked!

[1988] Ron Paul: American Power Structure

[googlevideo=http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4245169480003136735]

Revealing interview from the August, 1988 broadcast of Frank Morrow’s “Alternative Views” found at archive.org. It cements Dr. Paul’s place as America’s leading economic prophet crying in the wilderness and a voice we ignore at our own loss. At the time of the interview, Dr. Paul was the Libertarian candidate for president.

From the original description: “Former four-term Congressman Ron Paul describes the American power structure. As a member of the House Banking and Currency Committee, Paul was in a unique position to see the inner workings of economic power and control of the country, and how this power translates into political power. Paul describes how, through the control of the Federal Reserve and the banking system, the American power elite is basically out of reach of the democratic system. Concurrently, by using such organizations as the Trilateral Commission and the Council on Foreign Relations, control over the political process is maintained, resulting in what is in reality a in the U.S.”

There’s a lot of information contained. Dr. Paul rightly states that many politicians in DC aren’t informed about the nature of banking or economics, a condition that serves the interests of the central banking establishment. He also rightly states that the Federal Reserve, due to its secrecy and power, is nothing less than evil. This American agrees. And Ron Paul is still the only candidate from either party that isn’t a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Ron Paul Calls for End to Drug War

Ron Paul took an opportunity during the PBS Republican Presidential Debates, moderated by Tavis Smiley, to call for end to the Drug War.

“Prohibition didn’t work and prohibition on drugs hasn’t worked either.”

Ron Paul cited the unfair disparity in the percentage of blacks imprisoned over drug offenses in proportion with the relative percentage of black drug users, giving example to the system’s racial bias.

Paul also noted the money wasted on the so-called ‘War on Drugs’ since the 70s when it’s clear that drug use and prison capacity has only swelled in wake of the profit driven motives of the “war.”

Ron Paul: Imagine

From: Texas Straight Talk

Imagine

Imagine for a moment that somewhere in the middle of Texas there was a large foreign military base, say Chinese or Russian. Imagine that thousands of armed foreign troops were constantly patrolling American streets in military vehicles. Imagine they were here under the auspices of “keeping us safe” or “promoting democracy” or “protecting their strategic interests.”

Imagine that they operated outside of US law, and that the Constitution did not apply to them. Imagine that every now and then they made mistakes or acted on bad information and accidentally killed or terrorized innocent Americans, including women and children, most of the time with little to no repercussions or consequences. Imagine that they set up check points on our soil and routinely searched and ransacked entire neighborhoods of homes. Imagine if Americans were fearful of these foreign troops, and overwhelmingly thought America would be better off without their presence.

Imagine if some Americans were so angry about them being in Texas that they actually joined together to fight them off, in defense of our soil and sovereignty, because leadership in government refused or were unable to do so. Imagine that those Americans were labeled terrorists or insurgents for their defensive actions, and routinely killed, or captured and tortured by the foreign troops on our land. Imagine that the occupiers’ attitude was that if they just killed enough Americans, the resistance would stop, but instead, for every American killed, ten more would take up arms against them, resulting in perpetual bloodshed. Imagine if most of the citizens of the foreign land also wanted these troops to return home. Imagine if they elected a leader who promised to bring them home and put an end to this horror.

Imagine if that leader changed his mind once he took office.

The reality is that our military presence on foreign soil is as offensive to the people that live there as armed Chinese troops would be if they were stationed in Texas. We would not stand for it here, but we have had a globe straddling empire and a very intrusive foreign policy for decades that incites a lot of hatred and resentment towards us.

According to our own CIA, our meddling in the Middle East was the prime motivation for the horrific attacks on 9/11. But instead of re-evaluating our foreign policy, we have simply escalated it. We had a right to go after those responsible for 9/11, to be sure, but why do so many Americans feel as if we have a right to a military presence in some 160 countries when we wouldn’t stand for even one foreign base on our soil, for any reason? These are not embassies, mind you, these are military installations. The new administration is not materially changing anything about this. Shuffling troops around and playing with semantics does not accomplish the goals of the American people, who simply want our men and women to come home. 50,000 troops left behind in Iraq is not conducive to peace any more than 50,000 Russian soldiers would be in the United States.

Shutting down military bases and ceasing to deal with other nations with threats and violence is not isolationism. It is the opposite. Opening ourselves up to friendship, honest trade and diplomacy is the foreign policy of peace and prosperity. It is the only foreign policy that will not bankrupt us in short order, as our current actions most definitely will. I share the disappointment of the American people in the foreign policy rhetoric coming from the administration. The sad thing is, our foreign policy WILL change eventually, as Rome’s did, when all budgetary and monetary tricks to fund it are exhausted.

Ron Paul Vs ‘Faith Based’: The Unconstitutional FEDERAL War Against Marijuana — “Let the regulation go back to the state”

The Federal ban on marijuana is “faith based, conservative,” Stephen Baldwin claims.

But it’s really not ‘faith based’ or ‘conservative.’ Jesus never lorded it over, and neither should we. WWJD? Jesus would be Constitutional (the law of the land) and compassionate.

It’s unconstitutional, unfair (how do we regulate nicotine and alcohol? Jail-time?), uncompassionate, and even ‘silly’ (banning non-THC-producing hemp too), Ron Paul demonstrates. Constitutionally, it should be a states issue.

And “to me,” Paul concludes, “it’s an issue of freedom of choice.”

And Ron never inhaled, nor was he even in a room where he saw someone smoking, he states.

Ron Paul: Obama Foreign Policy Identical To Bush? Absence of “change” underlines fact that both parties follow same agenda on major issues

From: Prison Planet

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zD5FcSuMO1U]

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4C33bcLFAw]

Congressman Ron Paul has slammed Barack Obama’s foreign policy, saying it is identical to that of his predecessor George W. Bush, proving once again that both parties follow the same agenda on major issues.

Paul compared Obama’s pre-election promises to those of his predecessor George W. Bush, who before his election in 2001 guaranteed that the U.S. would not be the policeman of the world or engage in nation building.

Since the inauguration, Obama has sent 30,000 more troops into Afghanistan and and rapidly expanded the Bush-era bombing raids on Pakistan.

“Even though Obama was the so-called peace candidate and was going to bring our troops home from that war in Iraq, I’m afraid there’s evidence now that shows he’s going to pursue the same foreign policy – which was my argument during the campaign, that no matter what happens, both major parties support the same foreign policy, the same monetary policy, the same welfare policy and there’s never really any change,” said the Congressman.

As we reported last month, Obama’s war chest for 2009 alone, when one includes the budget of the defense department, the vast majority of which is related to spending on new fighter jets and other weapons-related programs, is a whopping $805 billion dollars.

Every single component bar one of the DoD budget is up 5-10% compared to 2008, with the budget for “military construction” increasing by a mammoth 19.1%.

Meanwhile, despite public pronouncements by Obama that a plan to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq is in progress, the details of the agreement actually establish a permanent presence of a sizable occupying force in perpetuity.

Obama swept to power on the promise that he would “immediately” withdraw troops from Iraq.

In reality, after the “withdrawal” of U.S. troops in 19 months, “Mr. Obama plans to leave behind a “residual force” of tens of thousands of troops to continue training Iraqi security forces, hunt down foreign terrorist cells and guard American institutions,” reported the New York Times.

A senior military officer spelled it out more plainly to the Los Angeles TImes, “‘When President Obama said we were going to get out within 16 months, some people heard, ‘get out,’ and everyone’s gone. But that is not going to happen,’ the officer said.”

Ron Paul also discussed Obama’s monetary policy, noting that every time a new government initiative was announced to supposedly rescue the economy, the stock markets sink.

Paul said that he also did not hesitate to slam Obama’s policies on civil liberties, especially on liberal talk shows that were sympathetic with the new president.

“I don’t think there’s any reason for us to rejoice,” said the Congressman.

Ron Paul: We Killed a Million Iraqis and that Pleased Bin Laden, Who Will Eventually Bankrupt this County

From: Raw Story

Paul noted that George Bush ran in 2000 on a pledge to end Bill Clinton’s nation-building, but then he “joined the idea that the American taxpayers — you — have an obligation to take care of everybody and police the world.”

“This is literally what bankrupts the country,” Paul complained. “It costs us a trillion dollars a year to take care of our foreign policy, and that cannot last.”

“The person most pleased with our foreign policy is Osama bin Laden,” Paul went on. “He said, ‘I’m going to get you to come over here and we’ll fight you on our sand, and we will do what we did to the Soviets.’ … He said he will do the same thing, he will eventually bankrupt this country.”

“So yeah,” Paul acknowledged. “We want to get rid of a bad guy in Iraq — we did. But … another one million Iraqis got killed. Believe me, they weren’t all terrorists. … But nevertheless, it pleased Osama bin Laden.”

CNBC Anchors Mortified That Ron Paul Was Allowed Air Time — “This is not going as planned”

From: Infowars

CNBC anchors were left dumbfounded and acted overtly cantankerous yesterday after Congressman Ron Paul’s opening statement at the House Financial Services Committee was broadcast live to an audience of millions.

CNBC went live to the House, clearly without knowing that the Texas Congressman had the initial Republican statement at the hearing of Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke.

After the Congressman spent two and a half minutes lecturing Bernanke on sound money principles, warning that the financial crisis cannot be solved by merely creating credit out of thin air, CNBC cut back to the studio.

Anchors Erin Burnett and Mark Haines were so perturbed by what they had just heard that they immediately cut to a commercial break:

Haines: “This is not going as planned

Burnett: “No it is not”

Haines: “We were told that there would be a very limited number of opening statements, and it seems to be getting out of control.”

Burnett: “Here’s what we forgot, everybody is taking this live, you know what that means? Why would they miss an opportunity for free air time?”

Haines: “We’re going to take a commercial break and get them out of the way, so that when something really substandard [he must mean substantial?] is happening, we don’t have to interrupt them.”

Watch the video:

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aW2V50AS7K0]

The Congressman’s speech was powerful and eye opening:

This is the end of an era,” said Paul, “we can’t reinflate the bubble….if we think that we can reinflate this bubble by artificially creating credit out of thin air and calling it capital, believe me we don’t have a prayer of solving these problems – we have a total misunderstanding of what credit is versus capital.”

Chuck Baldwin: The Monster Eating Our Country Alive

From: News with Views, President And Congress Grovel Before The Fed

… America is being run by a private banking cartel, the majority of whom are not even citizens of these United States.

Ever since the Fed was created in 1913, America has been subjected to recession after recession, not to mention one Great Depression. Some are even predicting that the United States is now actually entering a second Great Depression. Please understand this: the Federal Reserve has manipulated every bit of this financial crisis for the express purpose of enriching the international bankers on the backs (and bankruptcies) of the American taxpayers. And what does our illustrious Congress do? They continue to give billions and even trillions of taxpayer dollars to the very same group of gangsters who created and perpetuate this financial fraud. And, as with Congress, Presidents from both major parties likewise promote and defend this chicanery.

Yet, the U.S. Constitution, in Article. I. Section. 8. Paragraph. 5., clearly gives Congress the authority “To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures.”

This constitutional requirement makes two obvious demands: 1) only the elected Congress, not some private foreign (or even domestic) banking interest, has the power to make monetary policy, 2) U.S. currency must be hard currency, i.e. gold and silver. Paper money–known as the Federal Reserve Notes–is not even legal tender under the U.S. Constitution.

In truth, the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 is itself unconstitutional. In simple terms, the Act did not amend or expunge Article. I. Section. 8. Paragraph. 5. of the Constitution; it merely ignored it. (And Congresses and Presidents have been ignoring the Constitution ever since.)

In fact, Article. I. Section. 10. Paragraph 1. of the U.S. Constitution specifically states, “No State shall . . . coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts.”

Can anyone not see that the Federal Reserve is an illegitimate system? I will even go so far as to say that the Federal Reserve should be regarded as a corrupt, criminal system! If I were President, not only would I do everything in my power to oppose any and all financial bailouts to these international banksters, I would instruct the Justice Department to pursue criminal charges of fraud, corruption, manipulation, and outright thievery against the Fed. Instead of padding their fat assets in a million-dollar penthouse, they should be serving most of the rest of their lives in the Big House.

Even the man who created the Federal Reserve, President Woodrow Wilson, later admitted the gravity of his sin. Years after signing the Federal Reserve Act into law, Wilson was quoted by Senator Robert Owen, Former Chairman, Committee on Banking and Currency (who was, himself, the chief sponsor of the Federal Reserve Act in the Senate, but who later vehemently repudiated it), as saying, “A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world–no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men.”

Obviously, Wilson’s (and Owen’s) recantation was too little, too late. He created the monster that is eating our country alive–even up to this very moment.

In the meantime, Congressman Ron Paul has again introduced a bill in the House of Representatives to terminate the Federal Reserve. It is H.R. 833: To abolish the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Federal reserve banks. The Bill was introduced on February 3 and, to date, has no cosponsors. That’s right. No cosponsors.

Our education system has dumbed us down and forced us to learn all the same things in the same way. … There’s no individuality. … What’s going to survive in this coming greatest depression are the people that express their individuality, that are unique, or innovative, and really understand what quality is about. Those are going to be the survivors and thrivers in the coming tough times, as the rest of the people who all think alike, and have drunk the Kool-Aid go down with the ship.”

“Most people are only fed sound-bites of information upon which they make decisions.”

“They don’t want to believe it, number one. They think of these things as conspiracy theories. They’ve been indoctrinated all their lives through the college industrial complex to all think alike. …this is way beyond their grasp of understanding. “He’s solidifying his core support

Alex Jones adds that Barack Obama is already betraying some of his stances [like pulling out of Iraq]. And:

He’s throwing a few bones, but they’re hollow. We’ll look at a year in closing Guantanamo, but we’ll keep indefinite detention.”

Celente:

He’s just carrying on the policies and the big issues in the economy and geopolitical as the previous administration.”

President Eisenhower warned the nation as he was leaving office that the military industrial complex is taking over the country.

Buchanan writes: “The Crash of 2008, which is now wiping out trillions of dollars of our people’s wealth, is like the Crash of 1929, likely to mark the end of one era and the onset of another. We are witnessing what happens to a prodigal nation that ignores history and forgets and abandons the philosophy and principles that made it great. For years Americans have spent more than we earned. We saved nothing. Our standard of living is going to fall. The party’s over. What we are witnessing today is how empires end.”

Ron Paul stated: “The bailout is not just economically foolish. It is downright sinister. It makes a mockery of our Constitution, which our leaders should never again bother pretending is still in effect. You can’t stop a problem of too much spending and too much deficits and too much monetary inflation with more of it. So I’m positively opposed to the bailout and believe it will just delay the correction that is required.” Paul goes on to say: “We are in the middle of something very big. We’re not talking about trillions of dollars, the obligation is immeasurable. An economy structured on debt and credit lies at the root of the current financial meltdown. The end comes when the people reject the dollar and I think we’re getting awfully close to this.

Ron Paul: Governments DISHONESTLY Terrorize People’s Hearts With FEAR to Take Over

Ron Paul, interviewed by Alex Jones, 12/18/08; transcribed by Jeff Fenske (proofing and adding to quotes from article linked below)

Governments that want to take over, and undermine our liberties and have more power always use the fear factor. They did this leading up to the war in Iraq…. They do it on foreign policy, now they’re doing it on economic, monetary, and financial problems.”

“They do that all the time, that’s their technique, is always to build a tremendous fear in the hearts of the people. … Terrorize the people and say that ‘we are your saviors and we’re the only ones that can take care of you’.”

The dilemma that we have is that we’re scared too. There should be a lot of fear. It’s knowing the truth that counts. They use the weapon of fear dishonestly. But in many ways, we have to talk about the dangers too.

____

“I think everybody knows we’re in a crisis now and they have now gotten to the point where they don’t trust the government, which is healthy. A lot of people are begging and pleading and they’re lining up. But the average guy outside of Washington, especially so many of the young people are realizing that this has all been a hoax and this is the time to really expose the hoax.”

“We have a real opportunity to direct attention to the real culprit and that is those who control the monetary system. Those who counterfeit our money and cause the financial bubbles and then recessions, and now are working real hard on a depression.”

Please explain to me again why we chose Barack Obama instead of Ron Paul?

I love this title!

From: OpEdNews

Here is another piece written by Ron Paul, and yet again he is correct to the infinite degree. He is a regular nostradamus as far as I’m concerned, predicting nearly every major catastrophe of the last 8 years and doing so years before they occurred. He predicted the Russian/ Georgian conflict would be a possible consequence of our invasion in Iraq (check) he predicted the housing collapse (check) he predicted the implosion of the banking system clear back in the 90s (check) he predicted the Iraq war would be an endless quagmire, and on and on and on. When no one listened and his clueless fellow Republicans had the nerve to laugh at him on stage, he still spoke the truth, and once again, he has been right all along. This time about the real agenda of Barack Obama and the mindless Democrats in Congress. More elite government, more spending, more inflation, less freedom, less prosperity, and a complete disregard for the voice of the people (bailouts, anyone?)

Ron Paul on Martial Law: “The stage is set for…a military dictatorship, and few seem to care”

[youtube=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7SbJZ_G-_C8]

Some of the least-noticed and least-discussed changes in the law were the changes made to the Insurrection Act of 1807 and to posse comitatus by the Defense Authorization Act of 2007. These changes pose a threat to the survival of our Republic by giving the President the power to declare martial law for as little reason as to restore public order. The 1807 act severely restricted the President in his use of the military within the United States borders, and the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 strengthened these restrictions with strict oversight by Congress. The new law allows the President to circumvent the restrictions of both laws. The Insurrection Act has now become the “Enforcement of the Laws to Restore Public Order Act.” This is hardly a title that suggests that the authors cared about or understood the nature of a constitutional Republic.

Now, martial law can be declared not just for insurrection, but also for natural disasters, public health reasons, terrorist attacks or incidents, or for the vague reason called “other conditions.” The President can call up the National Guard without congressional approval or the Governors’ approval, and even send these State Guard troops into other States.

The American Republic is in remnant status. The stage is set for our country eventually devolving into a military dictatorship, and few seem to care. These precedent-setting changes in the law are extremely dangerous and will change American jurisprudence forever if not revised. The beneficial results of our revolt against the King’s abuses are about to be eliminated, and few Members of Congress and few Americans are aware of the seriousness of the situation. Complacency and fear drive our legislation without any serious objection by our elected leaders. Sadly, though, those few who do object to this self-evident trend away from personal liberty and empire-building overseas are portrayed as unpatriotic and uncaring.

Though welfare and socialism always fails, opponents of them are said to lack compassion. Though opposition to totally unnecessary war should be the only moral position, the rhetoric is twisted to claim that patriots who oppose the war are not supporting the troops. The cliché “Support the Troops” is incessantly used as a substitute for the unacceptable notion of supporting the policy, no matter how flawed it may be.
