In the first half of Tuesday’s show, author Jim Marrs shared his concerns over corporate media control, and the decrease in journalistic standards. He cited how US News & World Report recently ran a straw poll for the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination, and though they listed 10 candidates, they didn’t include Ron Paul. This is not journalism, it’s propaganda, he suggested. “We’re now under total corporate domination,” he continued, naming Time Warner, Universal, Viacom, News Corp., and Disney. “Those five corporations control everything you see and hear,” and this goes beyond the news department to include films, television, cable, books, music, and magazines, he said.

Marrs touched on speculations and conspiracies regarding Comet Elenin, the East Coast earthquake, and 9-11. Regarding the quake, there was no seismic activity leading up to it, which was highly unusual and didn’t fit the pattern of a normal earthquake, he said, adding that a Russian intelligence agency claimed that the quake was caused by an underground nuclear blast. Addressing what he calls the “trillion dollar conspiracy,” he noted that Ben Bernanke, Chairman of the Fed, admitted that some $14 trillion of US tax money was sent overseas to prop up foreign banks and corporations. …

In the first half of the show, political scientist and expert in relocation for personal security, Joel Skousen, gave a US & world affairs update. He argued that the US Congress shouldn’t have voted for the debt ceiling agreement– it would have forced the government to start to stay within their means. There was no real threat of a default, and the US govt. actually had enough income to make its payments, he said. “You can’t solve the debt problem by taking on more debt…there is no political will…to seriously cut benefits,” he added.

Skousen believes the Russians will eventually (10 years or more from now) attack the United States with a nuclear first strike, and the Chinese will back them. This war will allow US leaders to declare all debts gone, he predicted. But, “once the government starts to warn us that Russia and China is a threat, it will be too late. Mark my words,” he declared. The first strike would involve 3,000 warheads, hitting the major American military bases, yet the effects of nuclear winter wouldn’t be as bad as thought, with 80% of the population surviving– especially if they have some fallout protection, he noted. On Wednesday night, guest host John B. Wells ( email) spoke with political scientist and personal security expert Joel Skousen about the growing government assault on privacy and liberty, as well as New World Order and war scenarios. The current security precautions such as at airports are not really to stop terrorists, but to ferret out potential dissidents and resistors who could pose a problem for the future police state, he suggested. We are already seeing the three aspects necessary to establish this police state, Skousen outlined– a false threat of terrorism, thug-like individuals in the police, and a judiciary that won’t prosecute the police.

He laid out a financial end game in which the US national debt will become untenable, with the rise of inflation, sometime between 2020-2025. People have been diverted with the false threat of terrorism in order to cover up “our real enemies,” Russia & China, with whom the US will battle in a World War, he continued. “In the aftermath of that, they’re going to have an excuse to walk away from the debt,” because the US financial centers and computers will be destroyed.

Skousen described a Russian surgical nuclear attack on 15 American cities with military facilities such as San Diego, Seattle, Jacksonville, Norfolk, Colorado Springs, and Washington DC. While 20% of Americans will die in such attacks, he argued that nuclear attacks are survivable and promoted the idea that people construct fall-out shelters in their basements, as well as increase their self-sufficiency, as an EMP attack will knock out electricity for up to a year. He also foresees that America will go to war against Iran, probably in 2011— the U.S. is just waiting for the right provocation.

The coming year will be an important one for space weather as the Sun pulls out of a trough of low activity and heads into a long-awaited and possibly destructive period of turbulence.
Many people may be surprised to learn that the Sun, rather than burn with faultless consistency, goes through moments of calm and tempest.

But two centuries of observing sunspots — dark, relatively cool marks on the solar face linked to mighty magnetic forces — have revealed that our star follows a roughly 11-year cycle of behaviour.

The latest cycle began in 1996 and for reasons which are unclear has taken longer than expected to end.

Now, though, there are more and more signs that the Sun is shaking off its torpor and building towards “Solar Max,” or the cycle’s climax, say experts.

“The latest prediction looks at around midway 2013 as being the maximum phase of the solar cycle,” said Joe Kunches of NASA’s Space Weather Prediction Center.

But there is a prolonged period of high activity, “more like a season, lasting about two and a half years,” either side of the peak, he cautioned.

At its angriest, the Sun can vomit forth tides of electromagnetic radiation and charged matter known as coronal mass ejections, or CMEs.

This shock wave may take several days to reach Earth. When it arrives, it compresses the planet’s protective magnetic field, releasing energy visible in high latitudes as shimmering auroras — the famous Northern Lights and Southern Lights.

But CMEs are not just pretty events.

They can unleash static discharges and geomagnetic storms that can disrupt or even knock out the electronics on which our urbanised, Internet-obsessed, data-saturated society depends.

Less feared, but also a problem, are solar flares, or eruptions of super-charged protons that can reach Earth in just minutes.

In the front line are telecommunications satellites in geostationary orbit, at an altitude of 36,000 kilometres (22,500 miles) and Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites, on which modern airliners and ships depend for navigation, which orbit at 20,000 kms (12,000 miles). …

Recurrence of a 1921 event today would fry 350 major transformers, leaving more than 130 million people without power, it heard. A bigger storm could cost between a trillion and two trillion dollars in the first year, and full recovery could take between four and 10 years.

If this is the George Freund I know about, he’s a great guy who is on Joyce Riley’s The Power Hour on occasion.

All it takes is a few nukes to be blow above the US and the EMP pulses would put us back into the stone age. See the links following the article, which includes my dream of all cars stopping in Anchorage, very possibly from an EMP.

We could be very close to the end of America.

Perhaps this launch was meant just to be a message. We better take heed and get off of our high horse.

More On SoCal Missile From A Missile Tech

“Finally there is something that has occurred, in which I am actually an expert and qualified to give a real answer about. I am a retired U.S. Navy FireControl Technician, who is platform certified in the gun and missile systems on board Adams class guided missile destroyers, I have also worked with the Navy’s Harpoon, Tomahawk and ASROC missile systems. (FireControl Techs operate, maintain and repair the computer, radar and periphial systems used to launch and guide the various naval weapon systems, we are the guys who “PUSH THE BUTTON”).

Anyway, what I saw in the recent video concerning the object 30 miles off the coast of CA. Is blatantly a foreign made, Large Cruise or ICBM missile, being launched by a sub-surface aquatic platform.

First, I know it’s a large missile because it did not exhibit the typical “corkscrewing” trajectory of a beam riding missile as it trys to aquire the targeting beam. This tells me its a Big Boy with a complete guidence system installed in it, what is nicknamed a “fire and forget” missile, as once its launched its internal guidance system takes over and there is no real need for external guidance.

Second, I’m fairly confident it’s not one of ours, as the vapor trail appears “dirty” it looks brownish.

I have personally been involved in (5) SM2 missile launches, and (2) ASROC missile launches, and have been on safety observation for at least 15 more launches of Harpoons, Tomahawks and other missiles. We put alot of sweat and money into our “birds” and part of that is the fuel cells, they burn very clean, a whitish-blue infact, not a dirty blackish brown. That missile had rather crude fuel cells, which tells me its not one of ours.

I bet the brass in Washington is freaked out big time, because of what I know of our “defenses” they should really have had a pretty good idea this thing was sitting there, and they should have been watching it, not only that the moment it broke the surface of the water and ignited our early warning dopplar should have picked it up, and relayed the info to NORAD, and the CAP units flying patrol over the country… Any high ranking expert who believes this is a condensation trail off of a commercial airliner is lying or stupid. I hope you hear from other Fire Control Techs who saw the same thing I did.”

The U.S. Senate has dropped a House-approved plan that would prepare the United States to defend itself from an attack from any electromagnetic pulse source – whether it would be from a natural solar flare or the detonation of a space-located nuclear weapon by enemies intent on destroying America’s infrastructure, according to a representative who has raised alarms over EMP.

U.S. Rep. Roscoe Bartlett, R-Md., said it is “unfortunate.”

“While one part of the federal government was warning us of possible solar electromagnetic-pulse damage to our electric grid, a key Senate commission approved a bill to ignore this threat,” he said.

“It’s particularly ironic since the Senate amended a bill, H.R. 5026, approved unanimously by the House that would specifically protect the grid against solar EMP and other physical threats,” he said.

WND has reported for years on the devastating danger from an EMP attack that could be launched by a second-rate missile system against America.

The concern is that any nuclear detonation that could be launched into the atmosphere anywhere from 25 to 250 miles above the United States could decimate the nation’s electric grid, essentially transporting it instantly back to an era of mechanical machines and agriculture.

One estimate just months ago suggested an effective EMP attack could leave 9 out of 10 Americans dead.

Bartlett explained that the danger also comes from naturally occurring EMP signals from sources such as a solar storm. …

“The National Academies of Sciences predicted in a 2008 report that a solar geomagnetic storm as severe as the Carrington event that occurred in 1859 could inflict $1 trillion to $2 trillion [damage] and take 4-10 years to recover from. That compares with the $300 billion impact of Hurricane Katrina,” Bartlett noted. …

Whether the damage would come from a natural solar event or a nuclear bomb detonated in the atmosphere over America, the results could be the same for power distributors, telecommunications companies, satellite and aviation-sector companies – a virtual shutdown.

The results for Americans would be a collapse in the delivery system for food, fuel, information and communications.

Congressman says $100 million need to avert $2 trillion disaster

WASHINGTON – There’s been a lot of talk about the potentially devastating impact of an electrical grid shutdown from the effects of an electro-magnetic pulse from the sun or from terrorism, but little action, says a prominent members of Congress.

But it’s worse than a threat on the horizon, says Rep. Roscoe Bartlett, R-Maryland. It’s an inevitability.

Bartlett told NPR that EMP is “an event we will not avoid” – and remediation after the fact will cost between $1 trillion and $2 trillion. Protection of the grid in advance of the disaster will cost $100 million, he said.

The threat of an EMP attack by a terrorist group or foreign enemy has been a major concern for years. But Bartlett said nature, too, represents a potential time bomb.

“The more sophisticated we become, the more vulnerable we are,” said Bartlett. “There’s a huge concern about cyber-attacks on the grid. [Well] a really robust [nuclear] EMP lay-down means microelectronics across the country would be shut down [and] you have no power…there’s one event that we will not avoid, and that is a solar electromagnetic interference, solar storm. If we have a big one like the one that occurred back in 1859, that would shut down the whole grid for quite a long while. … It would cost about $100 million to protect much of the grid, but if the grid went down, it would cost us between $1 trillion and $2 trillion in damages, and the loss of life could be horrendous if in fact you were without electricity for months at a time. There’s a bill in the House, and … it’s got to go through the Energy and Commerce Committee.”

The U.S. Senate has dropped the House-approved plan that would prepare the United States to defend itself from an attack from electromagnetic pulse, whether it be from a natural solar flare or from a space located nuclear weapon.

This is not surprising. Despite U.S. government knowledge that Russia and China are preparing to strike the west with nuclear, biological and chemical weapons, FEMA says nothing to the American people about preparing for nuclear war. And the federal government, itself, is building at least six new, deep, underground bunkers, specifically to protect government officials from a preemptive nuclear strike — but no warnings to the public.

So obviously, Stan, the feds know this strike is coming. They’re not building bunkers 1/4 mile underground for some local terrorist strike.

Appearing in the second half of the program, Professor William Forstchen talked about how an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack could disable the power grid over large swaths of America. If fission bombs were detonated above the country, a gamma ray burst would trigger an electromagnetic disturbance, knocking out the infrastructure below it, he explained. Such effects have been demonstrated with high altitude nuclear tests such as Starfish Prime, and can be seen on a smaller scale in this video clip showing what happens to a Ford Taurus that gets zapped by EMP.

Forstchen said in an EMP attack the power grid might be down for months or even years. He also warned that EMP effects could be caused by solar flares, like the superstorm that occurred in 1859. He suggested that people call for Congress to recognize that EMP is a real issue, and move toward strengthening America’s infrastructure. Rep. Roscoe Bartlett has taken this subject seriously, he added.
