Porn is a Drug – Neuro Chemical Addiction

The Biology Behind it

However you choose to say it, Pornography causes a chemical addiction, or, if you prefer, Pornography causes the body to release endogenous chemicals (epinephrine, testosterone, endorphins (endogenous morphine), oxytocin, dopamine, serotonin, phenylethylamine, and other pharmacological stimuli) which the viewer becomes addicted to.

Egypt: People are rioting over poverty, unemployment, rising food costs, and other effects of collectivism. Some internet and phone communications have been disabled. [The mobs demand “change” but have no concept of a better way, so all they are likely to get is a new leader as bad or worse than the old.] Yahoo 2011 Jan 28 (Cached)

US: Food prices are increasing at an alarming rate. Wheat has risen 11% in the last 7 days. Corn is up 94% since June. [The expanding money supply and other warning signs are clear: double-digit inflation is very near. Do you still have your savings in dollars?] Economic Collapse 2011 Jan 28 (Cached)

US: Monsanto wins again. Dept. of Agriculture has fully deregulated GE (genetically engineered) alfalfa. Now it can be grown anywhere. [It already is known that GE alfalfa will contaminate other plants, including organic alfalfa. That will kill the organic alfalfa industry and cripple alfalfa exports, because many countries have banned GE crops. It will also be a blow to the organic meat and dairy industry. The case now will go back to the courts but, meanwhile, the irreversible damage will be done.] DesMoinesRegister 2011 Jan 27 (Cached)

A California community announces it no longer will accept cash in payment of utility bills – to protect against terrorists, of course. [This may seem like a small matter, but collectivists want to eliminate cash completely so all financial transactions can be traced by credit card or check. This is a small but definite step toward that goal.] Prison Planet 2011 Jan 27 (Cached)

An academic study finds social networking, instead of bringing friends together, creates mutual isolation networks that detach people from meaningful interactions and make them less human.

US: Virginia State House of Delegates passes the ‘Intrastate Commerce Act’ to nullify any federal regulation of economic activity that is entirely within the state. [This is very good news. Collectivists have used a tortured interpretation of the commerce clause in the US Constitution to justify virtually unlimited federal power over activities within the states. Nullification is a Constitutional way to reverse that trend. Let’s hope other states soon follow suite.] Tenth Amendment Center 2011 Jan 27 (Cached)

US: Social Security now is losing $45 billion dollars per year, and the fund will be completely drained by 2037. [That is the optimistic view. The realistic view is that the fund already is drained because it has no money, just government bonds, which are IOUs. As long as the government is controlled by collectivists from both major parties, Social Security will continue to fall short and, eventually, it will be obvious that the whole system is funded entirely from taxes and inflation. The so-called “fund” is a myth.] Yahoo 2011 Jan 27 (Cached)

US: House Republicans are proposing an audit and funding-cut of subsidies to the United Nations. The US is the largest single “contributor” (dues are mandatory) and pays 22% of its regular budget plus 27% of its so-called peacekeeping operations. US: RAND corporation released a study concluding that alternative fuels from corn and other seed oils, waste oils, and algae are of no value to the military and not presently useful to the nation. US: Analysis: Banks claim to be making a profit, but that is a bookkeeping trick. In spite of continuing foreclosures and bad loans, banks are reducing loan-loss reserves. Heck, who needs to put money aside for losses when you can get a government bailout from the taxpayers? So, take the money that will be needed to cover next month’s losses and declare them as today’s profits – and pay bonuses, too. Business Insider Posted 2011 Jan 22 (Cached)

Freedom Force DISINFORMATION
When the enemies of freedom cannot hide or deny the truth, their disinformation agents proclaim it boldly but mix it with questionable or offensive claims so people will recoil from the whole, like mixing garbage with groceries to stink up the bag and cause us to throw out the good with the bad. News items in this section may be in that category.

US: A Congressional panel finds that the financial crisis occurred because government officials, the Fed, and Wall Street ignored warning signs and failed to properly manage risks. The panel is referring cases to the Department of Justice to look into possible criminal prosecution. [This is classic controlled opposition. First, there likely will be no prosecutions of the people who were most responsible, because they have too many friends in high positions. Second, the panel concluded that there is nothing wrong with the the financial system itself, including the power of the Federal Reserve, only with the people who run it. However, until the banking cartel called the Federal Reserve is abolished and the nation returns to sound money based on gold or silver, the problem will never be solved. This theater of investigating, deliberating, debating, and finger-pointing merely serves to perpetuate the system and keep the public from considering an alternative.] Yahoo 2011 Jan 27 (Cached)

Carnegie Institution praises Genghis Khan because he killed so many people that the Earth began to revert back to a primitive state of forestation, and that was the “green” thing to do! [This is what the depopulation supporters are advocating today, which may be the reason for this so-called study. It’s pure propaganda with no science behind it. By the way, humans cause less than a fraction of 1% of greenhouse gases.] Mother Nature Network 2011 Jan 24 (Cached)

Sienna Miller syndrome: Why a woman owns 111 handbags in her lifetime

For most women the handbag is more of a lifestyle necessity than a fashion accessory.

And it seems having only one – or even two, three or four – just won’t do.

Indeed, researchers have found that the average 30-year-old owns 21 handbags and buys a new one every three months. That adds up to 111 over the course of a lifetime – with a total outlay of more than £8,000.

“I understand there is a conspiracy to create a New World Order, and they’re not about to give us an excuse to attack them, or unelect them, or get them out of office. And that’s why I think they’re going to milk the thing along.

And secondly, I’m the only one who preaches against hyperinflation because of the massive quantity of dollars internationally exists. They can inflate up to 10 trillion dollars a year and not even get close to anything about the 10% inflation of the money supply.”

Jesse Ventura Sues TSA in Pat-Down Smackdown
January 24, 2011
Former governor Jesse Ventura never shied away from a battle during his one term as Minnesota’s chief executive.

Now, as a “television performer,” as he describes himself in a new lawsuit, the former pro-wrestler is trying to launch a legal smackdown against the agencies that are supposed to protect the flying public.

In a complaint filed Monday morning in the U.S. District Court for Minnesota, Ventura is suing the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its secretary, Janet Napolitano, as well as the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and its administrator, John Pistole.

Ventura accuses the agencies of violating his “basic rights to privacy and dignity, and his right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures,” after he received a pat-down by a TSA agent at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in November 2010.

Ventura, who said he has a titanium implant after hip replacement surgery in 2008, alleges the pat-down included “warrantless, non-suspicion-based offensive touching, gripping and rubbing of the genital and other sensitive areas of his body,” which, the lawsuit contends, met “the definition for an unlawful sexual assault.”

Ventura’s Minneapolis-based attorney, David Olsen, told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS this afternoon, “The security procedures are going too far. There’s a line somewhere and he believes that line has been crossed.”

Olsen said Ventura no longer flies on commercial aviation because he is unwilling to submit to either a pat-down or a full-body scan, putting his job as host of cable television’s Conspiracy Theory show, in jeopardy.

“He’s made a decision that someone needs to make a stand and he’s not one to back down from a fight,” said Olsen. “He sees the erosion of civil liberties here and he’s willing to stand up not only for himself, but for others.”

A T.S.A. spokesperson said the agency “does not comment on pending litigation.”

On its website, the T.S.A. says “Pat-downs are one important tool to help T.S.A. detect hidden and dangerous items such as explosives.”

A message left at the D.H.S. in Washington, D.C. was not immediately returned.

In 2001, in the days after the September 11th terrorist attacks, then-Governor Ventura said increased scrutiny would be acceptable.

“We’re at war and we’re at war inside our own country,” Ventura said on Sept. 27, 2001, “something we’ve never seen or heard of before inside the United States of America. I don’t think you can be too careful and people are just going to have to accept a little bit of inconvenience.”

News that an alleged suicide bomber killed 31 people and injured over a hundred after an explosion at Russia’s biggest airport is sure to provide the establishment media and governments in the west with more grist through which to sell their fearmongering agenda, when in reality, Americans are just as likely to be killed by peanut allergies, accident-causing deer, and lightning strikes than they are by terrorists.

Roughly the same number as those unfortunately killed in today’s suicide bombing will die on America’s roads today, as well as tomorrow and in fact every day of the year – an average of 115 Americans are killed in car accidents daily, about one every 13 minutes, but you will never see it make the national headlines never mind gain global attention.

And why is that? Because every time we climb into our cars we subconsciously accept the price of freedom – which is the chance of being injured or killed. We take the same gamble every time we board an airplane, cascade down a ski slope or go up in a hot air balloon. We do so because the benefits of being a free human being are infinitely more rewarding than living in constant fear and demanding omnipresent “security,” which is never achievable anyway.

Despite the constant drumbeat of establishment fear-mongering about the imminent threat of terrorist attacks, the likelihood of actually being a victim of one is infinitesimally small, and only highlights how such threats are hyperbolically exaggerated for political purposes.

To equal the danger that Americans place themselves in every day by driving their car down the highway, there would have to be a September 11 every month. To reach the same level of risk that one undertakes in boarding an airline, you only have to travel eleven miles in a car.

“Until 2001, far fewer Americans were killed in any grouping of years by all forms of international terrorism than were killed by lightning, and almost none of those terrorist deaths occurred within the United States itself. Even with the September 11 attacks included in the count, the number of Americans killed by international terrorism since the late 1960s (which is when the State Department began counting) is about the same as the number of Americans killed over the same period by lightning, accident-causing deer, or severe allergic reaction to peanuts,” writes Ohio University’s John Mueller in a report entitled A False Sense Of Insecurity.

“For all the attention it evokes, terrorism actually causes rather little damage and the likelihood that any individual will become a victim in most places is microscopic,” concludes Mueller.

Which is precisely why Homeland Security’s gradual takeover of American society and its attempt to make citizens spy on each other in the name of preventing terrorism has nothing to do with providing some phantom sense of “security” and everything to do with indoctrinating the slaves to maintain complete obedience to their would-be slave masters.

This is about eviscerating constitutional rights by characterizing the exercise of those rights to dissent against the state as an abnormal behavior. This is not our claim – the DHS’ own internal documents list Ron Paul supporters, gun owners, gold bullion enthusiasts, and a myriad of other banal political interests as possible extremism and/or terrorism.

In addition, the US State Department defines the right to peaceably assemble and protest as “low-level terrorism”.

The fact that genuine acts of terror pose a miniscule level of real-world threat to Americans is known and fully understood by the likes of Homeland Security and the State Department. The fact that such agencies are now more concerned with persecuting politically-active Americans as terrorists explains the true intention behind programs like “See Something, Say Something,” which is firmly focused around chilling the 1st Amendment by creating a climate of constant fear and mistrust.

On the contrary, the V For Victory campaign is about creating a climate of solidarity, trust, and a bond of freedom amongst the American people, which is why we urge you to become part of the resistance against big government tyranny by re-asserting your status as a free-thinking, liberty-minded individual who rejects the odious historical connotations of recruiting citizen spies to tattle on their friends, colleagues and fellow Americans.

Chinese Pianist Plays Anti-American Propaganda Tune at White House — “But if the jackal comes / What greets it is the hunting rifle.” The “jackal” in the song is the United States.

From: Epoch Times

Chinese Pianist Plays Propaganda Tune at White House (Video)

US humiliated in eyes of Chinese by song used to inspire anti-Americanism

Lang Lang the pianist says he chose it. Chairman Hu Jintao recognized it as soon as he heard it. Patriotic Chinese Internet users were delighted as soon as they saw the videos online. Early morning TV viewers in China knew it would be played an hour or two beforehand. At the White House State dinner on Jan. 19, about six minutes into his set, Lang Lang began tapping out a famous anti-American propaganda melody from the Korean War: the theme song to the movie “Battle on Shangganling Mountain.”

The film depicts a group of “People’s Volunteer Army” soldiers who are first hemmed in at Shanganling (or Triangle Hill) and then, when reinforcements arrive, take up their rifles and counterattack the U.S. military “jackals.”

The movie and the tune are widely known among Chinese, and the song has been a leading piece of anti-American propaganda by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for decades. CCP propaganda has always referred to the Korean War as the “movement to resist America and help [North] Korea.” The message of the propaganda is that the United States is an enemy—in fighting in the Korean War the United States’ real goal was said to be to invade and conquer China. The victory at Triangle Hill was promoted as a victory over imperialists.

The song Lang Lang played describes how beautiful China is and then near the end has this verse, “When friends are here, there is fine wine /But if the jackal comes /What greets it is the hunting rifle.” The “jackal” in the song is the United States.

The name of the song is “My Motherland,” originally titled “Big River.” In an interview broadcast on Phoenix TV, the first thing Lang Lang is quoted as saying is that he chose the piece.

He then said, “I thought to play ‘My Motherland’ because I think playing the tune at the White House banquet can help us, as Chinese people, feel extremely proud of ourselves and express our feelings through the song. I think it’s especially good. Also, I like the tune in and of itself, every time I hear it I feel extremely moved.”

He expressed this idea more frankly in a later blog post, writing: “Playing this song praising China to heads of state from around the world seems to tell them that our China is formidable, that our Chinese people are united; I feel deeply honored and proud.”

WikiLeaks Unveil Vatican’s Secret Approval Of GMOs

As the debate over whether or not GMOs are fit for public consumption waxes hotter all over the world, the Catholic Church has been conspicuously silent on whether or not it endorses this biotechnology.

Despite this attempt to remain publicly neutral, WikiLeaks recently uncovered a transmission from Christopher Sandrolini, a U.S. diplomat to the Holy See, that demonstrates the Vatican’s clandestine approval of genetically modified crops.

You see, when one ecological element gets out of balance (feeding grain to cows, for example), it then causes another problem that must be dealt with in some other destructive way (such as poisoning the birds). This cycle of disharmony continues and escalates until entire ecosystems are out of whack. Then the USDA shows up with a pickup truck full of poison bait and goes to work poisoning animals.

The solution isn’t to keep poisoning animals and trying to control populations through toxic chemicals but rather to return to holistic web-of-life farming methods that work in harmony with nature rather than treating nature as the enemy.

(NaturalNews) The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is engaged in what can only be called an avian holocaust through its Bye Bye Blackbird program that has poisoned tens of millions of birds over the last decade. The USDA even reports the number of birds it has poisoned to death in a PDF document posted on the USDA website.

Anticipating the USDA possibly removing that document, we have posted a copy on NaturalNews servers at:
http://www.naturalnews.com/files/US…

The original source URL of this file was:
http://www.aphis.usda.gov/wildlife_…

This document shows that, just in 2009, the following bird populations were poisoned and killed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, using taxpayer dollars:

(Listed as “Intentional” and “Killed / Euthanized”)

Brown-headed cowbirds: 1,046,109
European Starlings: 1,259,714
Red-winged blackbirds: 965,889
Canadian geese: 24,519
Grackles: 93,210
Pigeons: 96,297

…plus tens of thousands of crows, doves, ducks, falcons, finches, gulls, hawks, herons, owls, ravens, sparrows, swallows, swans, turkeys, vultures and woodpeckers, among other animals.

The chart even shows that the USDA “unintentionally” euthanized one Bald Eagle.

Also murdered in 2009 by the USDA are victims of other species:

27,000 beavers, 1700 bobcats, 81,000 coyotes, 2,000 gray foxes, 336 mountain lions, 1900 woodchucks, 130 porcupines, 12,000 raccoons, 20,000 squirrels, 30,000 wild pigs, 478 wolves.

See the list yourself at: http://www.naturalnews.com/files/US…

The mass-murdering U.S. government that disavows violence?

Keep in mind that murdering animals is an act of violence. Yet in the wake of the recent Giffords shooting, we have U.S. government officials running around screaming about how much they disavow violence, saying things like “violence should never be used to resolve problems.”

But their actions say something different: Violence against non-human life forms is not only tolerated and approved by the federal government, but even encouraged. Through these mass killings of birds, cougars, ducks and other animals, the United States federal government is actively engaged in widespread acts of violence against nature, murdering literally millions of animals on an annual basis.

Keep in mind that the numbers shown above are only for 2009. A similar number of animals were killed by the USDA all the other years, too, going all the way back to the 1960’s when the “Bye Bye Blackbird” program was first initiated.

By my estimates, the USDA has actively murdered at least 100 million animals in America over the last four decades, putting this on the scale of an animal holocaust and a crime against nature. […]

But since when did sparrows, starlings and blackbirds ever pose a real threat to anyone? They’re not going to fly off with your cow, and to blame these birds for eating the grain being fed to the cows is ridiculous in the first place because cows aren’t supposed to eat grain.

Cows are supposed to eat grass. If you are running a cow operation where the birds are eating your grain and you think the birds are the problem, the real problem is that you’re feeding cows the wrong food! If you raise your cows on grass, the birds don’t get into the grain and you don’t have to poison the birds.

Then again, we are talking about the U.S. Department of Agriculture here. And while the USDA has a great number of truly useful programs (such as their USDA organic label, which is a high-integrity program), the agency as a whole remains steeped in the conventional agricultural mythology of pesticides, GMOs and “poisoning varmints.”

How the federal government is abusing your tax dollars

All of this really makes me wonder about the whole argument of Big Government versus small government. The argument of those who say we should all pay our taxes is that the government needs your money to “build roads and schools.”

What they don’t bother to mention is that the government is also using your money in very destructive ways, too, such as poisoning animals and pushing GMOs into European nations (http://www.naturalnews.com/030828_G…).

Personally, I am ethically and morally opposed to my money being used for such destructive purposes.

US: Giant rocket lifts off from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California carrying a secret spy satellite (the third of 6 that are planned). It is believed that the new satellite will be capable of reading car license plates. DailyMail 2011 Jan 21 (Cached)

US: Congress has introduced a bill to repeal the ban on incandescent lights by 2012. Compact fluorescent lights save energy but they contain toxic mercury and are a potential health hazzard when broken. Natural News 2011 Jan 21 (Cached)

Chinese President Hu, speaking in Chicago, says China is not a military threat and also denied that his country has a one-child policy. [Well, that settles that, doesn’t it? Surely he wouldn’t say anything that was untrue!] DailyMail 2011 Jan 21 (Cached)

Australia: Global-warming myth makers claim that recent floods are the result of so-called “climate change”. Here is the historical proof that such claims are pure bunk. These charts show that floods of this magnitude are not unusual for that area and, in fact, were more common and severe in the 19th century. WUWT Posted 2011 Jan 21 (Cached)

Spain: Government is pouring freshly created money into banks in hopes of warding off an international bailout. Billions of euros in previous bailouts have been ineffective. [As always, the influx of money out of nothing will create even more inflation for consumers.] WSJ 2011 Jan 20 (Cached)

US: FDA is investigating a possible connection between flu vaccines and 36 seizures in young children that occurred within 24 hours of receiving the shots. [Don’t expect much here. The FDA is more of a partner to Big Pharma than a regulator and likely will “find” that the problem was not the shots in general but a bad batch or some other temporary condition or that the number of adverse reactions is too small to worry about, so keep those kids coming for more. We shall see.] Yahoo 2011 Jan 20 (Cached)

US: Supreme Court has denied hearing a case exposing corruption by lower-court federal judges. The proof against them is so clear that no one even tries to deny it. Yet, the Supreme Court has refused to hear the case, which has the effect of releasing them from conviction and, at the same time, condemning an innocent man. Breitbart 2011 Jan 19 (Cached)

Goldman Sachs’ earnings fell by 53% in the 4th quarter and 37% overall in 2010 due to a reduction in bond trading and investment banking. (Investment banking involves acting as an agent for companies that need to raise capital from investors.) However, its own investing and lending segment showed a larger profit than last year. [This so-called profitable sector is the same one that was bailed out after suffering huge losses from high-risk loans. It’s easy to show a profit when your losses are covered by taxpayers.] Yahoo 2011 Jan 19 (Cached)

Goldman Sachs has 475 secret elite partners who stand to reap a windfall from 38 million stock options that were granted to them in 2008. [Options allow the holders to purchase stock at a stated price, usually very low, in anticipation of the stock being much more valuable at a future date. This method of compensation often is concealed from the public because it does not show up as salary or bonus. Among those to benefit are former Treasury Secretaries Hank Paulson and Robert Rubin.] NY Times 2011 Jan 19 (Cached)

Obamacare has been repealed in the House but, likely, will be sustained the Senate and/or the President,  so this was largely a symbolic effort. Most Republicans want to reform parts of the law instead of abolishing it completely. [Neither the Right nor the Left in Congress has any intention of repealing Obamacare because they stand to collect an extra $345 billion a year with the new tax provisions. That’s why we support State Nullification.] Fox News 2011 Jan 19 (Cached)

US: 26 six states have joined a lawsuit filed by Florida to challenge the constitutionality of Obamacare. [This is a good sign of public opposition but contains the seeds of its own defeat. The lawsuit says Obamacare is unconstitutional because it forces Americans to buy health insurance. However, if that provision is struck down, all the other provisions would remain, and funding would come from taxes and inflation instead of premiums. So this has the appearance of opposition but is without real effect. If the states are serious about abolishing Obamacare, they should simply nullify the whole thing under the 10th Amendment.] Guardian 2011 Jan 18 (Cached)

Ireland’s central bank begins printing Euros [that’s right, Euros] out of thin air to cover its debt. This will have an inflationary effect on the rest of the EU countries. [This seems strange, but appears to be not much different that having the money printed by the EU and then shipped to Ireland. It’s all just an accounting trick anyway.] Daily Bell 2011 Jan 18 (Cached)

US:  An air traveler at the Baltimore-Washington Airport declined to accept a full-body scan but was forced to walk through the machine anyway. He believes it was a psychological move to show that opt-outs cannot claim a “victory” over their authority. InfoWars 2011 Jan 18 (Cached)

Hawaii: Natural farming, using compost and earthworms, has doubled the yield of a small farm in just two years – and no pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizer are needed. There was a 30% decrease in water usage. [Even though most of us are not farmers, it is important that even city dwellers know that chemical fertilizers and pesticides are not necessary for our food supply.] Staradvertiser 2011 Jan 18 (Cached)

Overpopulation time bomb is a myth, according to several recent scientific studies. The problem with global hunger is not that there is not enough food but that distribution is hampered by a holdback in technology. The Independent 2011 Jan 18 (Cached)

City of Camden, New Jersey, lays off 17% of its employees, including police and firefighters, who warn that the city will become a “living hell.”. Public-safety workers & unions refused to take job-saving cuts, and the state is unable to bail out the city again (as it has for the past 2 generations). Yahoo 2011 Jan 18 (Cached)

US: Department of Agriculture provides a $12 million secret bailout to Domino’s Pizza in a bizarre new partnership. The announced purpose is to promote “a cheesier pizza.” [How’s that for the proper function of the state?] Shatter Limits 2011 Jan 18 (Cached)

Chief climate scientist at NASA calls for Chinese-style dictatorship to fight global warming. He laments that the democratic process allows voters to obstruct the process. [Is anyone surprised? The global-warming myth is merely an excuse to establish a global dictatorship, and this fellow is just confirming it.] Washington Times 2011 Jan 17 (Cached)

A study from the University of California found that all of the pregnant women in the test were contaminated with toxic chemicals, many of which have been banned in the US for decades. The source? Plastics, toys, personal-care products, and pesticide residue in food that is imported from other countries. Even though banned in the US, they can be imported with no problem. In addition, many toxic chemicals are still allowed in the US.

UK: A single mother, who was temporarily paralyzed by a fall, was told that her two-month-old baby (which was being well cared for by her sister) was to be put up for adoption by social services. The case workers claimed (with absolutely no evidence) that the mother may have been suicidal. The case has dragged on for 18 months after the mother’s total recovery. [This is only one case, but the details are painfully reminiscent of many similar cases that occur in every collectivist nation of the world where children are considered to be property of the state.] Telegraph 2011 Jan 15 (Cached)

Here is a list of the top 10 prescription drugs linked to violent behavior, including homicide and suicide. Most are anti-depressants & attention deficit drugs. [Incidentally, these are some of the most highly prescribed drugs in history. Instead of outlawing guns, how about outlawing these killers?]

Here is an article that contains astonishing excerpts from Air Force documents describing how the HAARP installation in Alaska (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program), may create weather modification as a weapon. [When they speak of nanotechnology and particles in the atmosphere, be aware that the most efficient method of putting them there is through aerosol spraying from aircraft. We call them chemtrails.] PPJ Gazette Posted 2011 Jan 15 (Cached)

US Mint reports a buying frenzy of physical silver within the first 12 days of January 2011. Gold sales also have jumped. [Ironically, the spot price of silver and gold dropped significantly shortly after this announcement. It appears that those who manipulate the market are making a last-ditch effort to push the demand back down. They do this by selling bullion contracts (not the bullion itself). If buyers decide to demand physical delivery, the game is over, and the speculators who have done this will be wiped out.] ZeroHedge Posted 2011 Jan 15 (Cached)

US: Patriot Act that allows the government to conduct warrantless searches, monitor private computer records, tap phone calls, and prevent you from knowing you are being spied on, has wide support in Congress and is expected to be renewed this month with little or no debate or fanfare. [This will be a test of the sincerity of those Tea-Party Republicans who recently were elected on their promise to uphold the Constitution.]

Genetically modified chickens have been created that developers say will not transmit avian flu to other birds. [That’s good news, but developers don’t say what negative effects to human health may come from eating the meat from these chickens. This is part of the current trend whereby GMO companies are trying to get farmers to grow only foods that they have patented, and they always justify this practice as, somehow, providing a benefit to mankind.]

California applies to the federal government for bankruptcy protection. Currently, states are prohibited from declaring bankruptcy, but a new law to change that is being considered. [If states can declare bankruptcy, they will be able to re-negotiate impossible-to-sustain employee pension plans and health-care contracts, which is why unions oppose the measure. For taxpayers, it would be a great relief.]

US Fish & Wildlife has agreed (only after being sued) to stop planting GMO crops on refuges in 12 Northeastern states. More lawsuits to stop the practice in other regions are being pursued. [This article says that, while farming is allowed on refuges, most have been converted to GMO crops because those were the only seeds farmers could obtain. Texas: Activist confronts Austin Chief Sustainability Officer as she confirms that the UN’s Agenda 21 program, which she supports, calls for reducing the population by 85%. She laughs when the issue is raised and says she is not concerned about that aspect of the program. [This is only one official out of thousands just like her in positions of government authority around the country, but be assured that she represents the norm, not the exception. These people are dead serious.] YouTube 2011 Jan 16

Mike Adams and Farmer Brad discuss the impact of the misnamed Food Safety Bill: Many small farmers will go out of business due to extensive paperwork & FDA regulations; food prices will increase; and more food will be imported from other countries. [Imported food bypasses most safety regulations, so Americans will be at greater risk than before. Incidentally, small farms have never been the source of major outbreaks.] Natural News Posted 2011 Jan 15

This is an excellent animation that explains the illusion of the “American Dream” and fiat money. [Caution! Some of the historical information is not accurate. For example, the story that JFK was assassinated because of his stand against the Federal Reserve cannot be substantiated. In fact, Kennedy always was a friend of central banking (See The JFK Myth). Nevertheless, because of the high quality of this program and the fact that the general theme is correct, we recommend it highly.] YouTube Posted 2011 Jan 15

EU Times story on “toxic-oil spill rains” correctly spotlights damage from the Gulf-oil spill but makes claims that cannot be substantiated, thus, undermining genuine concerns.
