The LGBTQ activist group – The Queen’s Guard – admits to being a little taken aback when Rabbi Abram Goodstein asked to partner with them for the event.

AFP has always been a Trojan Horse inside the conservative movement. The Koch brothers are globalist tools. Don’t forget they not only opposed Joe Miller in Alaska, but also Ted Cruz and Donald Trump on the national level. Get smart people. This is not an organization you can count on.
So Americans for Prosperity helped keep Joe Miller from defeating Lisa Murkowski, when he almost did. That’s disgusting and sickening!
All US power grids are vulnerable, thanks to Sen. Lisa Murkowski. We’ve already had two massive ejections that would have destroyed the power grid today. One was the Carrington event of 1859.

On Tuesday night the Anchorage Assembly introduced and passed a resolution the members believe will promote “civil discourse.” Let’s look at a few of some of the loaded terms that are peppered throughout the document. You may read it in its entirety here. [AR 2023-137 – ed.]
Hate speech most often refers to any speech that disparages a social group or member of that group. Hate is attached to a person’s inner motive. One could wonder why we don’t use the term “disparaging speech.” Even though the term “disparaging” is subjective, it does a better job of pointing to the actual speech of the person rather than inserting itself into the person’s inner workings.
The term “hate” elevates the severity of the offender and effectively labels a person a “hater.” When the state of someone’s inner motives is being judged not by the speaker, but by the hearers, whoever has the most power gets to decide that person’s label. When we begin judging hate, we elevate ourselves as a judge and jury to shame the “offender.”
Assembly Member Meg Zaletel wanted to make it clear that this is not a law with teeth. It is merely a “resolution.” So, is not yet about creating legal consequences.
Instead, it is an effort to shame those who do not internally ascribe to the values or loaded language held within. Once legislators shift from a focus on the concrete actions of constituents into judging our heart motives and values, our relationship with our government lacks protective boundaries.

In House Bill 99, men will be able to demand admittance into women’s shelters, simply by stating that they are women. If shelter operators refuse them, they can sue for discrimination.
HB 99 will be heard in House Community and Regional Affairs Committee at 8 am on Tuesday.
The bill adds gender identity to the list of conditions that may not be discriminated against in Alaska. The author, Rep. Jennie Armstrong, is a recent leftist transplant from Louisiana, who moved to Alaska, declares herself to be a pansexual, and successfully ran for House in 2022.

Dustin is a good guy in many ways, so I don’t understand why Dustin keeps doing this. Breaks my heart. I also live in West Anchorage, and have seen the frustration in good candidates trying to win when Nial Sherwood Williams also has acted as spoiler. It takes the wind out of conservative candidates’ sails, and discourages their potential donors from donating.

Because Darden doesn’t raise any money and never mounts a real campaign, he has a low ceiling of 12-15% at most. We’ve seen Darden play spoiler before, and in a tight West Anchorage race, he could again.

Solar storm and a stormy state senator
Mar 24
Disturbing the peace
Sen. Cathy Giessel of South Anchorage was having a bad day. Although she had eight constituents in Juneau for three days, she simply could not find time to meet with them, not even for five minutes.
The visitors made multiple requests of Giessel’s long-suffering staff, but the answer was always that she was too busy to meet with people from her district.
So the group from South Anchorage attended the floor session and when it came time for the introduction of guests, Giessel did not turn to face or acknowledge them, but simply read their names into the record and sat down. We’re not sure she even gave a perfunctory clap. The Senate was stunned at the rudeness on display to her eight constituents, something not seen in the Senate Chambers ever before. …
With Giessel, there were also some rude side remarks lobbed at some of the eight constituents after the Senate adjourned, caught by those standing in the hallway. When approached by a constituent, who greeted her and extended a hand for a handshake, Giessel crushed her fingernails into the woman’s hands, quite painfully and with apparent purpose. Word to the wise: Steer clear. Something is clearly wrong with Senator Giessel.

Suzanne Downing reporting from Alaska’s capitol:
“The legislators are treating each other well, with respect. I will say that I’ve noticed that Cathy Giessel is not particularly in that category. She strives through the hallways and treats people with imperious* disregard. … Cathy Tilton, as the speaker of the house is doing a fantastic job, and there is just very little drama.”
*’imperious’ – unpleasantly proud and expecting to be obeyed

CHINA’S SPY BALLOON
On Feb. 1 a photojournalist wondering why aircraft were grounded at his Billings, MT airport noticed and captured images of a strange white orb in the sky. His friend at the Billings Gazette investigated and the next day our military publicly admitted it was a high altitude suspected spy balloon from China. The images quickly went viral. The Chinese were prepared with a statement passing it off as a “civilian” weather balloon gone off course, but the path of the balloon carried it near a string of sensitive military installations from Alaska to South Carolina where it was finally shot down in shallow waters off the SC coast. Until the US reveals what kind of equipment was in the wreckage, we won’t know for certain what the real purpose was of the overflight. I doubt very much it was weather research because no nation sends weather balloons aloft so far outside their own country, except, perhaps, for military planning purposes which is still in the spy category. A host of aircraft from AWACS to a high-altitude U2 surveillance aircraft were used to evaluate the balloon with its extensive solar array on a truss-like framework that also contained electric motors driving propellers. This indicates that the balloon was designed to maneuver as well as drift in the upper air currents, which weather balloons are not designed to do. Whether or not there were high definition cameras aboard and batteries to operate equipment at night will be the determining factor on what its purpose was. This week, I’ll discuss the various theories about other purposes the balloon might have.

They also gave her anti-psychotic drugs against her will.

Our friends from Alaskans for Better Elections, sensing a disturbance in the Force, have started an ad campaign on local radio in defense of Ballot Measure 2, the rewrite of state election law passed in 2020.
The ad campaign is a purely defensive attempt to change the topic from the failure of Ballot Measure 2 (aka Ranked Choice Voting) by telling listeners that not only is the rewrite a smashing success, but Alaskans are overwhelmingly in support of it.
I suppose that all depends on your perspective, which is where the “lying liars” part comes in.
