In this video, Dr. Patrick McCullough, MD, describes how vitamin D status affects T cell activity, and therefore the effectiveness of the immune system in controlling autoimmune diseases and cancers.

“I’ve been taking 50,000 units per day for years. It helped the skin cancer…. My average hydroxy vitamin D level is in the 200s. My serum calcium levels are always normal.” – Dr. Patrick McCullough

Dr. Patrick McCullough, MD, shares his patient protocol with vitamin D when asked the question, “What are some of the additional components of your protocol besides vitamin D supplementation?”
Dr. McCullough had worked in a long-term acute care hospital, and now works at a state psychiatric hospital; over half of the patients have stayed there for over a year, some have been there for over 20 years. He has kept vitamin D records among his patients throughout these years, and many of them have been on his vitamin D protocol during the entirety of their care – which has resulted in lots of long-term data on the safety of vitamin D.
In his experience, treating patients with 10,000 IU vitamin D per day, sometimes more, is safe and does not cause kidney stones or renal issues. His findings have been published in his paper “Daily oral dosing of vitamin D3 using 5000 TO 50,000 international units a day in long-term hospitalized patients: Insights from a seven year experience.” [https://www.sciencedirect.com/science…] Dr. McCullough was not going to cause harm – he checked labs twice per week for safety (complete metabolic profiles, intact PTH levels, serum calcium) along with vitamin D levels.
Previous research has shown a huge band of safety with vitamin D. A 2011 publication by Araki et al. [https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21917…] reviewed vitamin D toxicity cases that resulted from labeling and manufacturing errors – no deaths were reported, each case resolved with complete recovery.
His patient protocol is to put all patients on 10,000 IU per day, and in his experience, “nothing bad happens – only good things happen!”
Dr. Patrick McCullough, MD, discusses the IOM’s vitamin D recommendations in comparison to his clinical experiences with vitamin D. He had been researching the vitamin D literature since 2009 and started treating patients in his hospital with vitamin D before the 2011 IOM report on vitamin D came out. He came up with own protocol based on literature, giving 10,000 IU as his standard of care.

About 75 percent of the population has low vitamin D levels, and 45 percent have low magnesium levels. [Elsewhere, Dr. Berg says D deficiency is higher than 90%. No one seems to know for sure, because Big Pharma is trying to ignore D. And people in areas with low or not much sun can’t get D from the sun when it’s below a 45° angle. Our shadow has to be shorter than we are tall in order to get any D from the sun, except at high altitudes, where the atmosphere is thinner.]
All of the enzymes involved in converting vitamin D to the active form depend on magnesium. Vitamin D won’t work in the body if you have a magnesium deficiency.
Vitamin D is vitally important for the body, and it’s crucial to do what you can to avoid a vitamin D deficiency.
Vitamin D also supports the absorption of magnesium. Vitamin D and magnesium work synergistically.
Vitamin D and magnesium are also important to support the absorption and regulation of calcium. Magnesium helps prevent calcium from building up in your arteries.
The body needs about twice as much calcium as magnesium. But many people are actually getting about three times as much calcium as magnesium.
I just posted this on Facebook.

Friend in real life, Larry Austin graciously hosted this Farewell to Dan Fagan party.
I’m in the VITAMIN D SHIRT (since I called into Dan’s show talking about D), and MOM is wearing my TRUTH MATTERS shirt. Larry bought us all pizza to compel people to come. How WONDERFUL!
Larry and I have stayed in touch since. I consider those of us in Anchorage to be extremely blessed to have a real-life peacemaker as an ambassador of God operating in his gift here.
Jesus said: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.”
Thank you, Larry!
Study of hospitalized patients [77% were vitamin D deficient] showed significant improvement, but probably would have been MUCH better had enough activated D been used.
ONLY 1 MICROGRAM WAS GIVEN. Probably not nearly enough. The study says: “active vitamin D analog (alfacalcidol 1.0 μg/day, or eldecalcitol 0.75 μg/day) administration was supposed if the patients had at least 1 risk factor for severe COVID-19….”
Dr. Campbell’s levels are only 34 ng/ml. He was finally able to get a test done in the UK, so he’s upping his dosage.
11:42 Big Pharma’s vitamin D “normal” level range is not high enough. Vitamin D “normal” level range for dogs is 100-150 ng/ml in the US. Like Dr. Campbell says: we need to optimize levels for what’s best for cancer, heart disease, dementia, diabetes, Covid, etc., not just for rickets.

Video is good, except: We CAN’T GET ENOUGH D from cod liver oil (1 tsp = 400 iu) or food. And the sun has to be 45° HIGH IN THE SKY to get vitamin D. Our shadow has to be shorter than we are tall. We can’t get D when the sun is low during the day or for the MAJORITY OF THE US anytime in winter. In Anchorage, Alaska, we already can’t get any D, even if it wasn’t cloudy and raining.
People need at least 5,000 iu daily when not in the sun. Most do best on 10,000. And obese and others often need more.
People in southern California have no idea what it’s like to live in low sun states in winter.
DeLauer avoided Covid completely. Only said how good D is for other respiratory infections.
Growing evidence shows that this problem is strongly associated with an alteration in the vitamin D genes.
If someone has a predisposition to a vitamin D deficiency, they may experience more COVID symptoms and have a higher risk of symptoms long after the original infection.
Vitamin D is the most essential vitamin to support the immune system, and vitamin D deficiencies increase the risk of viruses.
Many different things can decrease your absorption of vitamin D, and getting plenty of sun or taking a vitamin D supplement is crucial.
Vitamin D also controls folate, and a lack of folate is associated with the severity and duration of symptoms from the COVID-19 virus as well.
There are a few things you can try to increase your vitamin D, including:
• Vitamin D3 supplements (minimally 10,000 IU per day)
• Topical vitamin D (nanoemulsion technology)
• Semi-activated vitamin D
• Light therapy
Additional things you can do to help increase the effectiveness of the above options include:
1. Taking vitamin D3 irregularly
• You might take 50,000 IU of vitamin D3, then wait a few days, and take 20,000 IU of vitamin D3

“The lower the levels of vitamin D the greater the risk of dementia.”
And they’re not testing what happens at mid to high normal levels, just baseline.
Laughably low recommendations; though, huge amounts of dementia.
The body produces vitamin D in the skin after exposure to ultraviolet light — therefore, it is not technically a vitamin. Rather it is a fat-soluble steroid hormone, similar in structure to other hormones, such as testosterone and estrogen. Vitamin D, like other steroid hormones, can enter a cell’s nucleus and regulate numerous genes. Vitamin D serves as a major regulator of immune function and may play a particularly important role in preventing respiratory tract infections. In this clip, Dr. Roger Seheult explains how vitamin D is a misnomer and how it fulfills many critical roles in the body.
Effectiveness of 50,000 IU of Vitamin D weekly – Henry Lahore, VitaminDWiki in Iceland March 4, 2023

Vitamin D functions in the respiratory system to:
Protect against infection
Support immune cell function (white blood cells) in the throat, airways and lungs
Help regenerate the protective endothelial barriers
Regulate the inflammatory response and prevent cytokine storm
Respiratory Diseases associated with low vitamin D include:
COVID-19
The “Common Cold”
Infectious mononucleosis
Influenza
Pneumonia and ARDS
Tuberculosis
Asthma
Dr Jones and vitamin D (clip)
Lots of good info; though, he’s wrong on some points. He sells vitamin K, so doesn’t seem to be interested in the idea that many people who take D3 don’t need to take it often.
He said vitamin D isn’t linked to lower dementia, but it definitely is.
I wrote this comment: 99 ng/ml is NOT too high. It’s within Big Pharma’s “normal range” (30-100 ng/ml), which is probably too low. “Normal” for dogs is 100-150 ng/ml. And those with cancer, lupis, etc. do better with 150 ng/ml or even higher. Check out the studies and info at vitaminDwiki.com. Big Pharma makes money from drugs and surgery. High enough vitamin D would cut their profits by two thirds, because about 100 illnesses are affected by low D.
Some are saying if we take D3 we must take K2, but many people don’t need K2 if they can produce K2 in the gut and/or eat enough K2 producing foods.
Also, in sunny climates, those who spend enough time outside have high vitamin D blood levels, yet they’re not warned to also take K2. People can get 10,000 iu or more every half hour in strong sun with enough skin showing, and they’re not warned they must take K2.
The microbes in your gut have the ability to make vitamin K2, but fermented foods and fatty foods are also rich in vitamin K2.

Would Vitamin D Have Saved Half of Covid Deaths?
I launched an information campaign to raise awareness about the use of vitamin D for COVID-19 back in June 2020. My own vitamin D review was published October 31, 2020, in the high-impact, peer-reviewed journal Nutrients.1
At the time, 14 observational studies suggested vitamin D levels are inversely linked with the incidence or severity of COVID-19, and my paper concluded, “The evidence seems strong enough that people and physicians can use or recommend vitamin D supplements to prevent or treat COVID-19.”2
I was widely vilified and discredited in the media for bringing attention to vitamin D’s potential for COVID-19. The New York Times, in their July 2021 front-page hit piece,3 even dubbed me, “The most Influential spreader of coronavirus misinformation online,” in an attempt to minimize my efforts. The reporter claimed she could not verify my published study on vitamin D, even though I sent her a link to it, and it’s easy to find online.
Now, however, as is usually the case, the truth is being set free. An increasing number of studies are confirming what I said in 2020 — that vitamin D is a potent and highly effective intervention for COVID-19.
How Can You Strengthen Your Mind with Vitamin D? Listen In!
A recent study by Ghahremani et al. looked at data from 12,388 participants who were dementia free at the beginning of the study to determine the effect of prescribed vitamin D supplementation on the risk of developing dementia over the ten-year study period. The study found a 40% decreased risk of developing dementia among those taking vitamin D supplements.

People who smoke, drink alcohol, or take SSRIs have a higher risk of teeth grinding (bruxism).…
Bruxism can also be triggered by various things, including:
• Stress events
• Trauma
• Excess caffeine consumption
The best natural remedies for teeth grinding:
1. Vitamin B1 (nutritional yeast)
2. Vitamin D3
Risk reduction by blood levels:
At least ≥50 ng/mL group [compared to]
20 to 29 ng/mL group [most Americans 10-30 ng/ml]
Vitamin D reduced risk for diabetes by 76%

Dr. Campbell is only taking 4,000 iu of D3, but suspects he should be taking more. Unlike the US, UK won’t allow vitamin D blood tests, so Dr. Campbell can’t check his D blood levels. Dr. Berg and my naturopath recommend 10,000 iu for most people. Obese and people with chronic illnesses can often do better with more than 10,000 iu. Lots of data at VitaminDwiki.com.
This man is a champion truth teller — high integrity!!!
“..vitamin K2 supports calcium transportation. Vitamin K2 works with vitamin D. Vitamin K2 and vitamin D3 are important to take together. Vitamin D raises calcium in the blood, but vitamin K2 pushes calcium from the blood into the bone.”
The health benefits of vitamin K2:
• It supports healthy bones
• It supports strong teeth
• It helps prevent calcium from building up in the arteries, cartilage, and joints
• It helps support healthy blood sugar levels
• It helps generate ATP (energy)
• It supports healthy testosterone levels
• It supports the brain
Vitamin K1 and vitamin K2 are fat-soluble—low-fat diets may lead to a vitamin K2 deficiency. Cheese, especially hard cheese, is a rich source of vitamin K2, with Muenster cheese at the top of the list.
Other foods high in vitamin K2:
• Grass-fed butter
• Goose liver
• Duck liver
• Duck fat
• Eel
• Beef liver
• Lamb’s liver
• Ground beef
• Grass-fed hot dogs
• High-quality bacon
• Pork
• Sauerkraut
• Cod liver oil
