There was a gun in his hand and note left on the passenger seat of his truck outside a South Carolina hotel, the police report reveals. He had not yet completed giving evidence in that city about practices by Boeing that marginalized safety checks on their airline assembly lines. He was due to attend a third day of depositions when he was found dead.
