RUSSIA’S SECOND OFFENSIVE IN UKRAINE ALSO STALLED
Due primarily to Ukraine’s acquisition of long-range US artillery systems, Russia’s attempt to retreat from Kyiv and concentrate their forces in the Donbass (eastern Ukraine) have been stymied. The Russians have even lost ground in Kharkiv, on its eastern border with Russia, and the second largest city in Ukraine. Russian forces there have been driven back across the border into Russia. …
This brings up a core problem with the Russian military—poor treatment of its troops and conscripts, said “Foreign Affairs” this week. Echoing what I have said in prior briefs, Russia is not putting in its best troops or armor into Ukraine, but foreign troops and conscripts, led by Russian trained officers.

PROSPECTS FOR AN INFLATIONARY RECESSION
The US economy is at an unlikely tipping point where the common person feels the hurt of stagflation with rising prices, but no more increased income to keep buying at the same pace, while the burgeoning upper middle class and wealthy are still feeling flush with the false perception of increased wealth that higher prices brings initially—only to find out later how little it can really buy. For decades now, low interest rates have driven new business growth including in speculative startups, digital currency and stocks with only marginal value. The easy money has created dramatic levels of perceived new wealth, but only some of it is real—created or spent in the real economy where it contributes to actual growth and helps small business. Most has gone into highly speculative stocks and investments or crypto currencies, since there’s been no incentive to put it in savings at less than 1% interest rates. Thus the economy is booming in some sectors and hurting in others. 15% real inflation has ravaged ordinary people’s budgets but the well-heeled are further up the supply chain where the real effects of inflation are delayed. They still feel like they have huge amounts of money to spare and can afford the bid up prices to get what they want—except where manmade supply problems are slowing down most company’s ability to fulfill sales.

“On March 25, 2020, researchers at the University of Alaska Fairbanks issued the final report of a four-year computer modeling study on the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7.
The 47-story WTC 7 was the third skyscraper to be completely destroyed on September 11, 2001, collapsing rapidly and symmetrically into its footprint at 5:20 PM. Seven years later, investigators at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) concluded that WTC 7 was the first steel-framed high-rise ever to have collapsed solely as a result of normal office fires.
Contrary to the conclusions of NIST, the UAF research team finds that the collapse of WTC 7 on 9/11 was not caused by fires but instead was caused by the near-simultaneous failure of every column in the building.

Roland graduated from UC Berkeley and began his career by designing hardened missile silos to withstand nuclear bomb blasts. He went on to a broad career in the civil engineering and construction field spanning the last 50 years.
Roland provides the highlights of the study that was led by Professor Leroy Hulsey and his team of PhD researchers at UAF. Professor Hulsey, a top forensic structural engineer of 50 years, until recently served as the chair of the Department of Environmental and Civil Engineering at UAF.
The UAF team has conducted a finite element analysis study of the collapse this 47-story skyscraper, the third to collapse on 9/11, which so many know nothing about. This high-rise fell suddenly at 5:20 PM – seven hours after the Twin Towers destruction.
Most notably, it fell symmetrical at free-fall acceleration into its footprint in under 7 seconds, in the exact manner of a classic controlled demolition. Yet the National institute of Standards and Technology claimed, in their 1,000 page report issued seven years after the collapse, that the building fell due to normal office fires, which has never happened to any steel-frame, fire-protected building before or since 9/11.

Begich, one of the running Republicans and a multi-millionaire, dismissed the idea that his money might leave him out of touch with potential voters.
He said his family “struggled” when he was growing up, and at one point, Begich said, he had over $100,000 in student loans, since paid off.
“I can definitely relate to the struggle that a lot of Alaskans are having right now,” he said in a phone interview.

The Alaska Senate usually starts out its floor sessions with a prayer or sometimes a thought for the day from a non-religious member. On Tuesday, the prayer was offered by one of the Senate pages, Ollie Zaldivar of Anchorage, who beseeched wisdom from a Norse god named Odin.
He offered the prayer that asked that he know magic and know truth. He referred to the god as “Allfather.”
Described as a wise, one-eyed old man, writes the description in Wikipedia, “Odin has by far the most varied characteristics of any of the gods and is not only the deity to call upon when war was being prepared but is also the god of poetry, of the dead, of runes, and of magic.” …
