How do you know when two television correspondents are in the same parking lot pretending that they are in separate locations?

When you can see the same cars going by in both screens.

Producers at CNN apparently thought viewers wouldn’t notice that anchors Nancy Grace of HLN/Headline News and Ashleigh Banfield of Newsroom were standing no more than 30 feet way from one another as they manipulated the footage and placed Grace on Banfield’s right instead of her left.

Alex Jones is a vexing problem for the neocon and liberal factions of the establishment. They can no longer deny his influence enjoys an exponential growth curve. Liberals have tried in vain to undermine Alex’s political influence by either lampooning him or dismissing him as an addlepated conspiracy loon. This approach usually draws more people to his websites and radio and television shows instead of sending them away.

The neocons over at the National Review Online have devised a different approach. Instead of portraying Jones as a dangerous right-wing fanatic (a tactic favored by the Southern Poverty Law Center), the neocons have decided to depict Jones as analogous to a fire-breathing and bible-thumping Southern preacher.

“There are two forces in Jones’s world,” writes Betsy Woodruff, a William F. Buckley Fellow at the National Review Institute. “The battle for souls is between the corrosive forces of the New World Order (who have infiltrated everything from the Obama and Bush White Houses to MTV) and the indefatigable human will. Jones is a latter-day gnostic. He wants his audience to wake up from their sleep, emerge from their Platonic cave, and see the world as it truly is. That’s the conversion moment. The next step is walking with Alex Jones in the new life of the spirit.”

“We should credit Jones’s success to his status as the ultimate street preacher,” Woodruff continues. “In the town square of cyberspace, he’s the sign-waving, Bible-beating, sackcloth-and-ashes-sporting prophet of end times that you just can’t ignore.”

For the establishment intelligentsia on both side of the false left-right paradigm virtually nothing is more derisive than characterizing opponents as religious fanatics. For the neocons, this is a common practice. They have consistently portrayed Muslims as wild-eyed fanatics and Islam as a violent religion. Ms. Woodruff has adapted this field tested technique in an effort to minimize the impact of Jones and his followers and reduce his message to mere theological proselytization.

Ms. Woodruff, however, is preaching to the neocon choir. Beyond the constrained realm of Bill Buckley acolytes and neocon grandstanders for the Israeli-centric vision of the known universe, Jones’ message makes certain and undeniable sense. It really does not take a rocket scientist – or an American Enterprise Institute fellow – to see that a cabal of international bankers, transnational corporations and one-world globalists are taking America down the garden path to destruction. Despite the National Review allusion that Alex Jones is selling snake oil to the gullible masses, millions of people find credence in his critique and reassurance in his scorching criticism of the global elite.

According to a poll conducted by Public Policy Polling earlier this month, nearly one-third of Americans believe a secretive power elite is conspiring to rule the world and install an authoritarian global government. The establishment media desperately labors to obfuscate this fact. But as the economy worsens, public confidence in corrupt officialdom and government plummets, and the wars continue to roll on with tragic consequence, more and more Americans arrive at the conclusion that things are not as they seem – or as the elite and the establishment intelligentsia insist they are.

It is fair to say that the order to characterize Jones and Infowars as a fringe religious movement came right from the CIA. It is common knowledge that Buckley and his National Review were connected to the CIA, a fact confirmed by the late publisher’s son, Christopher. The younger Buckley’s book, Losing Mum and Pup: A Memoir, is “quite interesting in that it ties a string between Buckley and the CIA, after Buckley was already involved with National Review,” notes Economic Policy Journal.

Matt Drudge has long been conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ biggest ally. According to a Media Matters review, the heavily-trafficked Drudge Report has promoted at least 50 separate articles at Jones’ Infowars website in 2013, and has linked to at least 244 different articles on the site in the past two years.

Drudge announced this week that he had privately told friends that 2013 would be the “year of Alex Jones.” Considering Drudge’s penchant for promoting Jones and his Infowars website, those comments are more of a promise than a prediction.

Alex Jones is a radio host famous for pushing absurd conspiracy theories about a host of issues, including that the U.S. government perpetrated or was otherwise involved in the 9-11 attacks, the Sandy Hook elementary school massacre, the Oklahoma City bombing, the Space Shuttle Colombia disaster, and the Aurora movie theater shooting.

Jones has lately made headlines for his most recent conspiracy that the Boston Marathon bombings were a “false flag” attack staged by the government. Drudge has provided several links to Jones’ site in the days since Jones started floating Boston conspiracies, including an article highlighting the father of the bombing suspects claiming his sons had been set up.

Glenn Beck is a fraud. He was teasing on Friday that he would expose the Boston Bombing Cover up, in what he called the 2nd biggest story EVER in our country (the biggest story being 9/11) and on his Monday show he revealed…pretty much nothing. He was strongly insinuating he would cover false flags or the LONG HISTORY of the FBI creating terrorist groups (known as provocateuring), as Judge Andrew Napolitano had the [guts] to do, but this clown said nothing of any significance for his “big announcement.”

This is from a guy who (still) laughs off the Bilderberg Group every time he’s asked about it, and a guy who said he hates the 9/11 victims’ families because they were pestering the government for a real investigation. (Listen to the clip below). Beck wanted to draw in his lost listeners who quit listening to his show because he’s a gatekeeping war mongering mockingbird, and make them think he was ready to “go all the way.” What a pathetic joke.

The liberal media has long protected the grizzly abortion clinics from public scrutiny—both to keep information from those championing cause of protecting the unborn but also to keep women ignorant of the dangers of abortion procedures. The establishment press has been loath to give much coverage to the prosecution of an abortion doctor, Kermit Gosnell, whose crimes are not just against the unborn. Jonathan Capehart wrote that,

“If witness testimony and a grand jury’s report are true, Kermit Gosnell is a serial killer, a monster who preyed on women of color in desperate situations and an alleged killer of infants who might have survived outside the womb had he not “snipped” them.”

To make matters worse, Gosnell’s bloody business was allowed to persist because of widespread neglect by and silence from public officials and institutions that had the power to stop the evil that allegedly ran rampant at the “Women’s Medical Society” in West Philadelphia.

As the Atlantic.com wrote:

The Pennsylvania Department of Health makes it next to impossible to file a complaint concerning abortion providers. … When persistent lawyers, like Semika Shaw’s; and doctors, such as Dr. Hellman, the Medical Examiner from Delaware County, and Dr. Schwarz, Philadelphia’s Health Commissioner, have registered complaints anyway, they have been uniformly ignored. DOH did not inspect Gosnell’s clinic even after Karnamaya Mongar died.

In other words, there is a systematic protection racket among liberals for abortion—to protect it at all costs in order to preserve this one major out for escaping the consequences of rampant immorality in America. Capehart continues: “The opening paragraph of the case overview from the grand jury report sums it up:

This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy – and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors. The medical practice by which he carried out this business was a filthy fraud in which he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs, spread venereal disease among them with infected instruments, perforated their wombs and bowels – and, on at least two occasions, caused their deaths. Over the years, many people came to know that something was going on here. But no one put a stop to it.

Gosnell was approved to provide abortion services after an on-site inspection in 1979. There were other site reviews in 1989, 1992 and 1993. Violations were noted at each of those visits. Nothing was done to ensure they were corrected. Complaints about Gosnell from injured women, a doctor and even a medical examiner went unheeded by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the Department of State and the Philadelphia Department of Public Health.

Ultimately, the conspiracy of silence on Gosnell lies not with the press [It lies with everyone who sought to downplay this horror]. It lies with the workers at the clinic who allegedly participated in barbarous acts or allegedly watched them happen and said nothing. It lies with members of the community who knew about the alleged deplorable activity and conditions at “Women’s Medical Society” and said nothing. And it lies with Philadelphia and Pennsylvania officials who fielded numerous credible complaints about Gosnell and did nothing.

Although the media isn’t giving this any play, it’s an important story. The Activist Post reports:

Tony Rooke refused to pay a TV license fee [required of everyone in the UK] because the BBC intentionally misrepresented facts about the 9/11 attacks, he alleged. It is widely known that the BBC reported the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7 over 20 minutes before it occurred. WTC 7 was a 47-story skyscraper that was not hit by a plane on 9/11 but collapsed at free-fall speed later that day. [Due to explosives planted before the attack, and not by terrorists] So Rooke said the BBC had to have had prior knowledge to a terror attack making them complicit in the attack. He presented the BBC footage to the judge along with a slew of other evidence, and the judge agreed that Rooke had a reasonable case to protest. Rolling Stone Magazine has posted a part two to follow up on its profile of Alex Jones earlier this week, a feature that also appears in the print edition of the publication.

In this article, writer Alexander Zaitchik asks if Glenn Beck has been ripping off Alex Jones by using Jones’ information but then injecting it with his own lies and spin. After listing seven different aspects in which Beck is charged with ripping off Jones, Zaitchik concludes that the Fox News host has indeed borrowed Jones’ material to create “bastardized versions of theories and facts originally found on the Alex Jones Show.”

This is unsurprising given the fact that we have been told directly by people inside Fox News that one of the primary roles of Beck’s researchers is to monitor the Alex Jones Show in order to later rip off our material.

I am not sure exactly when the death of television news took place. The descent was gradual—a slide into the tawdry, the trivial and the inane, into the charade on cable news channels such as Fox and MSNBC in which hosts hold up corporate political puppets to laud or ridicule, and treat celebrity foibles as legitimate news. But if I had to pick a date when commercial television decided amassing corporate money and providing entertainment were its central mission, when it consciously chose to become a carnival act, it would probably be Feb. 25, 2003, when MSNBC took Phil Donahue off the air because of his opposition to the calls for war in Iraq.

Holmes will be given “truth drugs” to “refresh his memory” about his state of mind at the time of the killings. If that sounds absurd, it is. I wrote a piece the other day detailing how such drugs are often given to produce extreme terror in patients. In other words, the drugs don’t elicit the truth. They’re used as threats to force the patient/suspect to confess to whatever his torturers want him to confess to.
