Cell phone users, beware. The FBI can listen to everything you say, even when the cell phone is turned off. A recent court ruling in a case against the Genovese crime family revealed that the FBI has the ability from a remote location to activate a cell phone and turn its microphone into a listening device that transmits to an FBI listening post, a method known as a “roving bug.” Experts say the only way to defeat it is to remove the cell phone battery. “The FBI can access cell phones and modify them remotely without ever having to physically handle them,” James Atkinson, a counterintelligence security consultant, told ABC News. “Any recently manufactured cell phone has a built-in tracking device, which can allow eavesdroppers to pinpoint someone’s location to within just a few feet,” he added. We must now assume the NSA is in charge, not elected representatives
These revelations are absolutely explosive. They reveal exactly what I feared (and publicly warned about) — that the true group running things in the U.S. government is now the NSA, not the White House and certainly not Congress.
With its massive spy grid system in placed for years, the NSA has gathered dirt on everyone in a position of power. Anyone with a secret is now compromised and can therefore be controlled. This even includes President Obama, who can be safely assumed to be nothing more than a charismatic puppet.

Fmr Agent Russell Tice Accuses Obama, Nsa Of LYING, Alleges BROADER Spying Programs
On Friday, MSNBC anchor Craig Melvin interviewed former U.S. Air Force intelligence Agent Russell Tice about the revelations surrounding the National Security Agency’s monitoring of Americans’ digital and electronic communications. Tice accused a variety of administration officials, including President Barack Obama, of disseminating outright falsehoods in their efforts to explain those programs. He added that those programs are far broader than any government official has said up to this point.
Tice slammed the president’s meeting with privacy advocates today, conceding the point that this was largely a “PR move.”
“There is a lot of disinformation going on,” Tice observed. “I’ve always said the station is much worse.”
Tice accused the NSA’s past and current directors of misleading the public regarding the scope of the agency’s communications monitoring programs.

Melvin noted that The Guardian reported Thursday that domestic communications can be kept if they were obtained “inadvertently, and they can be used by courts under certain circumstances. He noted that this news also contradicts statements by the president.
“You’ve got to understand, the FISA court is being used as a screen to be able to use information that ultimately they can use to throw at somebody in a court of law with a grand jury,” Tice said, noting that this happened to him and Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter, Jim Risen.
He says that the FISA court appeal justifies the government collecting information on Americans that can later be used in criminal cases against them.

Francis the Doomsday Pope, the last pope before the end of days
There will be only 112 popes before the doomsday. By sitting on the seat number 111, the resigned Pope Benedict XVI was making his successor Francis I the last pope on earth.
Doomsday fanatics claim that a 12th century prophecy states the successor to Benedict XVI will be the last pope before the end of the world. These are believers who interpret two medieval-era prophecies to mean that the next pope elected after Benedict XVI will be the last before doomsday. Mayan 2012 prophecies had failed to materialise, now they turned their attention to Saint Malachy and the great Nostradamus.
The Prophecy of the Popes (Latin: Prophetia Sancti Malachiae Archiepiscopi, de Summis Pontificibus) is a series of 112 short, cryptic phrases in Latin which purport to predict the Roman Catholicpopes (along with a few antipopes), beginning with Pope Celestine II. The alleged prophecies were first published by Benedictine monk Arnold Wion in 1595. Wion attributes the prophecies to Saint Malachy, a 12th‑century Archbishop of Armagh, Ireland.
Given the very accurate description of popes up to 1590 and lack of accuracy after that year, historians generally conclude that the alleged prophecies are a fabrication written shortly before they were published. Laurie Constantino, a local cookbook author, is one of those people you see stooped on the green slopes of city parks with her knife and grocery bag. She’s out there because she knows something the rest of us probably don’t. A lot of plants that we think are weeds are also good, nutrient-packed eating.
I follow Constantino’s food website, which has a trove of interesting recipes for wild edible Alaska plants. (Cow parsnip ice cream, anyone?) I visited her at her home the Hillside this past week because I was curious about the scourge of my lawn: dandelions. I don’t do pesticides (mainly out of laziness) and I can’t beat them. I wondered: Could I eat them?
Constantino’s answer: Oh yes. Then she offered to show me how to make pesto.
A little Internet research told me that dandelion greens have more than twice the vitamin A and vitamin C as spinach. I also read an article in The New York Times about how years of agriculture have bred the nutrients out of common supermarket foods but their wild relatives are way good for you. Crab apples have zillions of times more nutrients than Golden Delicious apples, for example. Wild purple potatoes are way better than Yukon Golds. Naturally, spinach kills iceberg lettuce in the antioxidant department. But dandelion greens crush spinach.
3 to 5 cloves garlic (depending on your love of garlic)
2 ounces Parmesan, Romano or other hard Italian cheese (a block about the size of an Altoid box), roughly chopped
1/2 cup toasted pine nuts, walnuts, almonds or pumpkin seeds (optional)
1/2 cup good olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
Pepper
In a food processor, mince the garlic well. Add the cheese. Pulse it a few times. Add other ingredients. Pulse a few more times until well combined. Store in a jar with a layer of olive oil over the top to prevent discoloration. Can be refrigerated for two weeks as long is there is oil on the top.

I’m actually tired of reporting on this. It’s amazing how few care about something this potentially likely and catastrophic — and so incredibly easy to fix. But we’re not… : (

President Reagan’s Science Advisor, Dr. William Graham, who chaired a blue-ribbon congressional commission on the EMP threat, has calculated that within a year of the U.S. electrical grid being devastated by such a phenomenon, nine out of ten Americans would be dead.
Anchorage Mosquitoes were HORRENDOUS for about 3 weeks this summer, after about a 3 week late start. Here is a theory why they were so bad, as well as a funny and so true commentary from the Anchorage Daily News:
“Mosquito populations are fairly high everywhere,” said Janice Chumley, integrated pest management technician at the Kenai Peninsula District office of Cooperative Extension Service.
Why? Because of weather we had nine months ago. Southcentral Alaska experienced an extremely wet fall followed directly by snow. The snow covered and insulated the ground before it could freeze very deep.
“It was a perfect overwintering blanket for insects,” Chumley said.
How perfect wasn’t immediately apparent because breakup came late this year; much of the state got smacked by a snowstorm a month ago. The extended cool weather delayed the hatchout, Chumley said. “But the minute it warmed up, all of those successfully overwintering sites produced clouds of mosquitoes.” …
What is not anecdotal is the fact that the Anchorage store shelves on which mosquito control products are usually stocked have become bare in the past few days. …
OK, let’s get one thing straight. If I’d wanted to have bright, hot sunshine for weeks in a row I’d have moved to Fairbanks or Hawaii or Mexico or, if I was really desperate, Florida. If I wanted to devote an hour every morning killing mosquitoes in my office before I could work, I’d have moved to a tropical forest. If I wanted to spend my time outdoors batting wildly at my head while screaming, “Get away from me, you beasts from hell” I’d have done a remake of “Bedlam.”
And I know I’m not alone. There are a lot of us out there in the Anchorage bowl, hiding in our own special closets with netting covering our entire bodies and fans blowing cold air from ice cubes to help us maintain our sanity.
My dogs scurry through the door to go into the yard at top speed because they fear that their tails will be slammed into the door I’m shutting as quickly as possible to keep the next horde of blood suckers out. It’s hard to know, because we have over 40 species in Alaska that rely on different habitats. The large mosquitoes are called the snow mosquitoes, and there are six species of those. They’re much slower, and some people call them “training mosquitoes” to get us ready for the next wave. Those are mostly gone. The ones we are seeing now are mostly in the genus ochlerotatus. They’re smaller and faster.

A few users, however, have come up with some interesting takes on a monorail hyperlapse by mirroring the footage and taking you on a much stranger journey.
The video above was shot by Vimeo user darwinfish105 using a Panasonic DMC-GH3 attached to an Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 9-18mm f/4.0-5.6. All of the photos were shot at a 1 second shutter, with help from an ND400 filter for daytime shots and setting the ISO at 400 (sans filter, obviously) at night. He then mirrored and vertically flipped the footage in post to get the final product.
Of course, he’s not the only person to have done something like this. Vimeo user Daihei Shibata‘s video Shinkansen ver.2 (above) takes you on a similar journey. His video captures the trip from Shinosaka to Tokyo as you would see it out of the right side window — assuming you had mirrored vision, that is. His was shot using an Olympus Pen EP-1.
Mirror Filter Transforms Dash Cam Footage into an Ethereal Experience
This surreal video might seem like some sort of abstract, computer-generated art project at first glance, but take a closer look and you’ll probably realize what’s going on. Flickr user cshimala attached a GoPro Hero HD to his front windshield and shot some footage as he drove around Chicago. He then mirrored the footage in post, sped it up, and set it to Liquid Summer by Diamond Messages.
Meteorologist Scott Stevens, a nine-year veteran of KPVI-TV in Pocatello, said he was struggling to forecast weather patterns starting in 1998 when he discovered the theory on the Internet. It’s now detailed on Stevens’ website, www.weatherwars.info, the Idaho Falls Post Register reported.
Stevens, who is among several people to offer alternative and generally discounted theories for the storm that flooded New Orleans, says a little-known oversight in physical laws makes it possible to create and control storms — especially if you’re armed with the Cold War-era weapon said to have been made by the Russians in 1976. Stevens became convinced of the existence of the Russian device when he observed an unusual Montana cold front in 2004.

A group of whistle-blowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago.
However, the six whistle-blowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down.

Comedian Russell Brand terrified anchors on MSNBC’s Morning Joe program by lecturing them about how the media distracts from real news by obsessing about superficial distractions.

Brand almost immediately put host Mika Brzezinski on the back foot by describing his tour as an exploration of how Malcolm X, Gandhi, Che Guevara and Jesus Christ “are significant culturally and how icons are appropriated and used to designate consciousness and meaning….they’re all people that died for a cause, they’re all people whose icons are used to designate meaning, perhaps not in the manner in which they intended.”
Brand then poked fun at MSNBC’s army of “actors” in the back of the shot who were supposedly tweeting, noting that they were merely a gimmick to create the impression that the program was a hotbed of news.
The anchors began to get visibly uncomfortable when Brand made the point that mass media was an operation in changing information “so it suits a particular agenda” and that viewers were being manipulated.
Instead of addressing Brand’s point, the anchors instead obsessed about the comedian’s accent and his clothing.
“You’re talking about me as if I’m not here and as if I’m an extraterrestrial,” responded Brand, “thank you for your casual objectification.”
“I’m a little nervous,” retorted Brzezinski, presumably not used to entertaining guests on her program who act like real people.
When the conversation began to break down, Brand asked , “Is this what you all do for a living?” before hijacking the broadcast to talk about Edward Snowden, the NSA spying scandal and Bradley Manning.
“Look beyond the superficial, that’s the problem with current affairs, you forget about what’s important, you allow the agenda to be decided by superficial information – what am I saying – what am I talking about – don’t think about what I’m wearing, these things are redundant, superficial – don’t be distracted,” said Brand as Brzezinski physically cowered.
Brand, who is a close friend of David Icke and was the only celebrity of note to draw attention to the Bilderberg Group with a recent tweet, is known for broaching topics of conversation which firmly go against the establishment grain. He also follows Alex Jones on Twitter.
His Brand X show routinely features guests from the counter-culture as well as those with controversial political views.

Is Journalist Michael Hastings a Victim of Obama’s Assassination Policy?

The establishment media glossed over the suspicious death of Rolling Stone journalist Michael Hastings in cursory fashion.
“Mr. Hastings was believed to have been alone in the car, which struck a tree at high speed, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office,” the New York Times reported earlier today.
Photographs of the crash scene, however, reveal that the car Hastings was in did not experience a high-speed crash. “There is no impact damage to this car. The only damage there is BLOWN OUT in the back, not smashed in the front and it obviously missed the tree as it rolled to a stop,” writes Jim Stone. “This was a Mercedes, not a Pinto, which means it did not burst into flames on its own. One (seldom quoted) eyewitness said the car ‘exploded,’” Stone continues.
“No matter how you slice this particular pie, a Mercedes is not just going to explode into flames without a little assistance,” Stone explains. “Car fires in new cars happen for three main reasons — running the engine out of oil, or running the engine out of coolant, or after an absolutely huge car mangling accident, having the hot side of the battery short out against the frame before it reaches the fuse panel. And for all 3 of those normal reasons, which account for virtually all car fires in modern cars, the fire would have started in the engine compartment, progressed slowly, and scorched the hell out of the paint before ever reaching the gas tank. That clean paint is the be all tell all, Michael Hastings was murdered, and the rest is detail.”
The murder of Michael Hastings needs to be put in context. He is the journalist who brought down Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, then the top commander of United States forces in Afghanistan. The military undoubtedly viewed Hasting’s reportage as a direct threat and reacted accordingly.
Obama’s Assassination Policy
In February, the Justice Department released to the two congressional intelligence committees classified documents spelling out its legal justification for assassinating American citizens. The documents refer to the Pentagon dinner guest Anwar al-Awlaki who was allegedly killed by a CIA Predator drone strike in Yemen. Obama had the documents released on the eve of confirmation hearings of John O. Brennan, his pick for CIA boss and, not exactly coincidentally, the main architect of his murderous drone program.
Even though the public was not allowed to see the documents, the establishment media dutifully spread the message – the government had contrived a legal justification for assassinating citizens, beginning with alleged al-Qaeda bigwig al-Awlaki and his teenage son. Millions of Americans – brainwashed by years of war on terror fairy tales and propaganda – supported the policy.
Targeting Journalists
The Obama administration demonstrated its contempt for the First and Fourth Amendments of the Constitution when it was revealed in May that the Justice Department secretly obtained phone records of journalists at the Associated Press.
The move was an obvious attempt to intimidate and send a message to elements of the establishment media not following the government’s playbook. Fear and intimidation may work for establishment journalists, but for alternative media journalists – even those working on the fringe of the establishment represented by the liberal magazine Rolling Stone – assassination now appears to be the preferred course of action for deviating from the script.
The sloppiness of the Michael Hastings assassination was deliberate. The government, the Pentagon and the CIA are interested in sending a message, the same message sent by Hitler, Stalin, Mao and dozens of other dictators – go up against the government, deviate from unwritten parameters, and you may be assassinated.
There seems to be a lot of confusion about what the NSA is actually doing. Are they reading our emails? Are they listening to our telephone calls? Do they target American citizens or is it only foreigners that they are targeting? Unfortunately, the truth is that we aren’t going to get straight answers from our leaders about this. The folks running the NSA have already shown that they are willing to flat out lie to Congress, and Barack Obama doesn’t exactly have the greatest track record when it comes to telling the truth. These are men that play word games and tell lies for a living. So it would be unrealistic to expect them to come out and tell us the unvarnished truth about what is going on. That is why it is so important that whistleblowers such as Edward Snowden have come forward. Thanks to them and to the brave journalists that are willing to look into these things, we have been able to get some glimpses behind the curtain. And what we have learned is not very pretty.
