Trump is Correct, John McCain is NOT A Hero

I am a conservative and a Republican, and I do not like anything about John McCain. He dumped his wife when she was injured in an accident, remarried into serious beer distribution money. His soft television interview voice belies the way he really is; mean, nasty, hot tempered, vindictive, a progressive, a back stabber (ask Palin) and quick to pretend and project he is a nice guy.

McCain Furious At Rex Tillerson For Saying Assad Can Stay
The six year Syrian proxy war to dethrone president Bashar al Assad quietly ended with a whimper yesterday when at a news conference in the Turkish capital, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson suggested the end of Bashar Assad’s presidency is no longer a prerequisite for a way out of the Syrian crisis, in a dramatic U-turn from Washington’s long-held policy.
“I think the longer term status of President Assad will be decided by the Syrian people,” said Tillerson at a joint conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevut Cavusoglu on Thursday, AFP reported. Later, UN Ambassador Nikki Haley echoed Tillerson, saying “Our priority is no longer to sit and focus on getting Assad out.” …
Under President Barack Obama, the United States made Assad’s departure one of its key objectives. The Syrian armed opposition also insisted upon the longtime leader’s resignation as one of the conditions during the Astana peace talks.
For those unaware, allowing the people of Syria to decide the fate of President Assad has been Russia’s stance since the conflict began. …
In other words, the entire proxy conflict, with thousands of lives lost, and millions of Syrian immigrants flooding Europe, has been for nothing.
Better yet, we have confirmation that Tillerson’s pivot was indeed groundbreaking courtesy of John McCain’s reaction. The Senate Armed Services Committee and prominent neocon said in a statement that “I am deeply disturbed by statements today by our Secretary of State and Ambassador to the United Nations regarding the future of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.”
McCain then slammed Tillerson, saying “Once again, U.S. policy in Syria is being presented piecemeal in press statements without any definition of success, let alone a realistic plan to achieve it.”
The angry neocon continued: “ultimately, the administration’s statements today could lead America’s true allies and partners in the fight against ISIS to fear the worst: a Faustian bargain with Assad and Putin sealed with an empty promise of counterterrorism cooperation. I hope President Trump will make clear that America will not follow this self-destructive and self-defeating path.”
He was not alone: Republican Sen. Lindsay Graham says if reports were accurate, “I fear it will be the biggest mistake since President Obama failed to act after drawing a red line against Assad’s use of chemical weapons.” He added that “This would be crushing news to the Syrian opposition and to our allies throughout the Middle East. I fear it is a grave mistake.”
With America’s two biggest neocons slamming Trump’s Syria reversal, it is safe to say that at least in this particular case, Trump made the right decision.

MCCAIN AND THE POW COVER-UP
The sum of the secrets McCain has sought to hide is not small
John McCain, who has risen to political prominence on his image as a Vietnam POW war hero, has, inexplicably, worked very hard to hide from the public stunning information about American prisoners in Vietnam who, unlike him, didn’t return home. Throughout his Senate career, McCain has quietly sponsored and pushed into federal law a set of prohibitions that keep the most revealing information about these men buried as classified documents. Thus the war hero who people would logically imagine as a determined crusader for the interests of POWs and their families became instead the strange champion of hiding the evidence and closing the books.
Almost as striking is the manner in which the mainstream press has shied from reporting the POW story and McCain’s role in it, even as the Republican Party has made McCain’s military service the focus of his presidential campaign. Reporters who had covered the Vietnam War turned their heads and walked in other directions. McCain doesn’t talk about the missing men, and the press never asks him about them.
The sum of the secrets McCain has sought to hide is not small. There exists a telling mass of official documents, radio intercepts, witness depositions, satellite photos of rescue symbols that pilots were trained to use, electronic messages from the ground containing the individual code numbers given to airmen, a rescue mission by a special forces unit that was aborted twice by Washington – and even sworn testimony by two Defense secretaries that “men were left behind.” This imposing body of evidence suggests that a large number – the documents indicate probably hundreds – of the U.S. prisoners held by Vietnam were not returned when the peace treaty was signed in January 1973 and Hanoi released 591 men, among them Navy combat pilot John S. McCain.
Mass of Evidence
The Pentagon had been withholding significant information from POW families for years. What’s more, the Pentagon’s POW/MIA operation had been publicly shamed by internal whistleblowers and POW families for holding back documents as part of a policy of “debunking” POW intelligence even when the information was obviously credible.
The pressure from the families and Vietnam veterans finally forced the creation, in late 1991, of a Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs. The chairman was John Kerry. McCain, as a former POW, was its most pivotal member. In the end, the committee became part of the debunking machine.

McCain is “Directly Responsible” for ISIS
I don’t know how important this group is, but it may be significant. Joyce Riley mentioned the CNP (Council for National Policy) on The Power Hour, 1/22/16 (minute-48:40). Dr. Stanley Monteith invited her to speak at one of their events, and she got a cold response when she mentioned George Bush (didn’t say which one) in relation to the vaccine issue. Doesn’t sound good.
Film producer Josh Reeves says in Volume Two: “All paths lead to Rome.” Apparently, he believes Rome controls all of the secret societies, which I don’t find to be true.
This video, Volume One, meanders in many directions other than the CNP. These are some points I found worth noting.

As far as Vietnam, mainstream media hasn’t educated the public about the basics concerning US actions against Vietnam.http://representativepress.blogspot.c…
The well respected author Noam Chomsky has written about Israel’s intentional attack on the USS Liberty:
“The truth of the matter is that Israel has been granted a unique immunity from criticism in mainstream journalism and scholarship … the attack on the unmistakably identified U.S. Liberty with rockets, aircraft cannon, napalm, torpedoes and machine guns, clearly premeditated, leaving 34 crewmen dead and 75 wounded✸ in “the Navy’s bloodiest ‘peacetime’ international incident of the 20th century” … the general reaction of the press and scholarship has been silence or misrepresentation. … The nature of the attack on the Liberty was also evaded not only by the press fairly generally but by the government and by a U.S. Naval Board of Inquiry, though high-ranking figures had no doubt that the official report was a whitewash; former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Thomas H. Moorer, for example, states that the attack “could not possibly have been a case of mistaken identity,” as officially claimed.” pp31-32 Fateful Triangle: The United States, Israel and the Palestinians ☛ Get this eye-opening classic here: http://representativepress.blogspot.c…

WHY McCain doesn’t want to talk: –
There are Two Main reasons why Senator John McCain wants to keep the attack on the USS Liberty buried.
1- McCain’s Father (Admiral John S McCain) was in charge of US Naval Forces in Europe at the time of the attack and Admiral McCain was involved in the COVER-UP, of the attack on the Liberty.
2- In America, huge sums of Money are needed to Win Elections at the National Level. (Congress, President) Wealthy American Jews give huge sums of Cash to Pro-Israeli Congressmen and Congresswomen. Anyone deemed to be “anti-Israel” is cut off from Funding. As a result, it’s very hard to Win an Election at the National Level, unless the candidate is a full time stooge to the powerful US Israeli Lobby. (AIPAC)

8 Facts That Prove John McCain is an Unhinged Warmonger
Ben Cohen on June 03, 2013
1. McCain is trying to up American involvement in the civil war raging in Syria. One of the most vocal critics of the Obama administration’s Syria policy, McCain secretly made a trip across the Turkey-Syria border with Gen. Salem Idris, the leader of the Supreme Military Council of the Free Syrian Army (FSA). He stayed in the country for several hours before returning to Turkey. According to The Daily Beast, “Both in Syria and Turkey, McCain and Idris met with assembled leaders of Free Syrian Army units that traveled from around the country to see the U.S. senator. Inside those meetings, rebel leaders called on the United States to step up its support to the Syrian armed opposition and provide them with heavy weapons, a no-fly zone, and airstrikes on the Syrian regime….
2. He helped the Bush Administration build a case for war in Iraq, despite any evidence of WMDs or Saddam’s links to Al-Qaeda. McCain was one of the most vocal supporters of the war in Iraq and helped Bush and Cheney build a fictitious case against Saddam that led to one of the greatest strategic disaster in US military history. McCain is the only veteran in the Senate who has not turned against the war and still maintains it was a great idea.
3. Unwilling to accept that America’s role in Iraq was increasingly pointless and counterproductive, McCain was a huge supporter of the ‘Surge’ in 2007. …
4. McCain believes in America’s divine right to occupy a country for as long as it likes in order to achieve its objectives. During a at a town hall meeting in New Hampshire in 2008, McCain was asked about the Bush administration’s willingness to keep troops in Iraq for 50 years. McCain cut the questionner off and said “Make it a hundred.”
5. McCain has long been a proponent of attacking Iran. Despite Iran not threatening anyone, not having nuclear weapons and not building any, …
An example: During a campaign appearance in South Carolina in 2007, McCain was asked by an audience member about potential U.S. military action in Iran. “How many times do we have to prove that these people are blowing up people now, never mind if they get a nuclear weapon. When do we send them an airmail message to Tehran?” a man asked. McCain replied, “That old, eh, that old Beach Boys song, Bomb Iran — “Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, anyway, ah ….”.
Hilarious.
6. Regardless of its illegality, McCain has advocated bombing the infrastructure of enemy countries. Under Article 54 of Protocol I of the 1977 Geneva Conventions, it states that:
It is prohibited to attack, destroy, remove, or render useless objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population, such as foodstuffs, agricultural areas for the production of foodstuffs, crops, livestock, drinking water installations and supplies, and irrigation works, for the specific purpose of denying them for their sustenance value to the civilian population or to the adverse Party, whatever the motive, whether in order to starve out civilians, to cause them to move away, or for any other motive
And here was McCain on the bombing of Serbia during the Balklans crisis in 1999:
No infrastructure targets should have been off limits. And while we all grieve over civilian casualties as well as our own losses, they are unavoidable.
7. McCain was vehemently anti the use of torture as an interrogation method by the military, then suddenly announced that the CIA shouldn’t be held to the same standards. …
8. There is good evidence that John McCain’s thirst for war is almost entirely down to political ambition.

John McCain: War Hero or Something Less?
..McCain’s own tale of his torture and the confession he recorded for the North Vietnamese comes largely from his book Faith of My Fathers, in which he describes his shame at cooperating with the enemy. But some of McCain’s fellow prisoners, who were tortured and did not collaborate, have challenged his narrative, expressing their belief that McCain was not physically abused at all and that he was well treated. Others who were also in the prison camp dispute that claim. But by McCain’s own account he may have begun cooperating with the North Vietnamese within three days of his capture and was fully on board within two weeks, providing specific intelligence on his aircraft carrier, its aircraft, and the support vessels attached to it, information that was later featured in North Vietnamese radio broadcasts. One account that appeared on a wire service entitled “PW Songbird is Pilot Son of Admiral” reported that McCain may have gone beyond an acceptable level of collaboration in assisting the psychological warfare offensives aimed at American servicemen: “The broadcast was beamed to American servicemen in South Vietnam as a part of a propaganda series attempting to counter charges by U.S. Defense Secretary Melvin Laird that American prisoners are being mistreated in North Vietnam.” …
It has also been claimed by retired Army Colonel Earl Hopper, admittedly without any corroborating evidence apart from what might be contained in inaccessible Pentagon files, that “McCain told his North Vietnamese captors, highly classified information, the most important of which was the package routes, which were routes used to bomb North Vietnam. He gave in detail the altitude they were flying, the direction, if they made a turn… he gave them what primary targets the United States was interested in…the information McCain provided allowed the North Vietnamese to adjust their air-defenses. As result…the US lost sixty percent more aircraft and in 1968 [and] called off the bombing of North Vietnam, because of the information McCain had given to them.” …
Schanberg makes two key points: first that a number of American prisoners of war were left behind in Indochina in 1973 with the connivance of top levels in the U.S. government and second that John McCain has worked assiduously to obstruct any efforts to open Pentagon files and follow up on leads to determine the status of the POWs and the “missing in action.” Admittedly, the prisoner of war issue is considerably more complicated than Schanberg represents it to be with many of the sightings and other evidence subject to challenge while his assumption that the Vietnamese were interested in exchanging their remaining prisoners for U.S. financial assistance is also somewhat speculative. But it appears undeniable based on the statements of senior U.S. government officials cited in the article and accompanying commentary that at least some prisoners were left behind with the full knowledge of and even enablement by the White House and Congress. Numerous elected and appointed officials subsequently lied to cover up their mendacity. It was a national disgrace, compounded through the fully documented case Schanberg makes for subsequent obstructionism by McCain and a number of other Senators who followed his lead, including current Secretary of State John Kerry, to impede any serious search for the missing in action and POWs.
One might reasonably infer that McCain’s cover up of Vietnam era POW sightings could well have been driven by fear that some released prisoners might have unpleasant things to say about his activities while at Hoa Lo prison. …
..McCain has consistently and irrationally advocated an undeviating hard line against Russia, the only country with the military capability to confront and destroy much of the United States through its nuclear armed ballistic missile forces. McCain supports untouchable defense budgets, American Exceptionalism, and a proactive “defense” policy that is a holdover from the George W. Bush years. He constantly flouts his patriotism and war record, which have become essential parts of his political persona, and he might well be reasonably described as the leading advocate of militarism in the United States Senate.
Much of McCain’s chauvinistic bluster might indeed be explained by guilt over his long ago confession to the North Vietnamese, a failing for which he might be making atonement through doubling down to demonstrate his unwavering support of the military. And there is also a darker side to him, possibly fed by guilt, evident in his frequently observed volcanic temper, which has been sometimes been directed against families of former prisoners who have raised the POW issue.

RAND PAUL: JOHN MCCAIN WANTS ANOTHER 15 WARS
“If I’m ever commander-in-chief, I will not want to take the country to war”
by STEVE WATSON | INFOWARS.COM | DECEMBER 3, 2014
As he announced his intention to run for reelection in the Senate, Rand Paul declared he will run for “less war”, distancing himself from the traditional Republican foreign policy platform by adding that his colleague John McCain wishes to see the US involved in wars with 15 more countries.
Appearing at a Wall Street Journal sponsored event, Paul described himself as “one of the least reluctant to go to war” in the Senate.
“If I’m ever commander-in-chief, I will not want to take the country to war,” the Kentucky Republican added, saying “It will be the last resort and only when the country is united.”
ELECTION WIN: MCCAIN WILL HEAD UP SENATE’S ARMED SERVICES COMMITTEE
Boots on the ground in Syria and military support for Ukraine
John McCain is expected to become chairman of the powerful Senate Armed Services Committee in January following a Republican election victory on November 4.
In the position, McCain will drive defense policy on Capitol Hill, including the Senate’s version of the National Defense Authorization Act dictating how the Pentagon spends money. He will also determine the foreign policy agenda of the United States.
McCain and a clique of neocon Republicans have called for boots on the ground in Syria and Iraq. In addition to sending U.S. troops, McCain has called for arming the Kurds and intensive airstrikes against the Islamic State as the terrorist army consolidates recent military gains.
He also wants to bolster support for the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA) which is, as we noted on Sunday, an anachronism. Any distinction between the FSA, al-Nusra and the Islamic State is now rhetorical.

America’s Creation of ISIS. The US State Department through its global network of foreign subversion funded and directed by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and a myriad of faux-NGOs, triggered a coordinated uprising across the Middle East. Protesters served as a smoke screen behind which heavily armed militants began campaigns of violence against the security forces of the respective nations targeted for destabilization. Violence in Egypt went largely unreported because of the speed of which the government collapsed and confrontations ceased. However in nations like Libya and Syria where governments remained resolute, the violence continued to escalate.

ISIS AS THE NEW FLAGSHIP TERROR THREAT
Whenever a relatively new terror organization starts bragging about how it’s going to take over the entire Muslim world, and simultaneously threatens Jerusalem, Europe and the US, you can bet it’s either the work of an irrational braggart or a propaganda stunt by Western intelligence agencies to give new urgency to the flagging and phony war on terror that has for so long held the West in its Machiavellian grip. Their claims are so far-fetched that they could only be useful at spreading fear among the British and American people who are once again being called upon to support a new war on terror. There is another specific reason, however, for western funding ISIS as a new enemy—it gives the US its long-awaited excuse to get back into the Syrian conflict, and it won’t be to “help Assad” or get rid of ISIS.
All the regular neocon Republicans like John McCain and Lindsey Graham were hitting the talk shows last Sunday pushing for the US military to attack ISIS in Syria:
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday called for President Obama to target leaders of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Syria after the beheading of an American journalist last week.
The James Foley beheading itself was a mostly-staged event (with death taking place off-screen) to horrify the American public and create support for the notion of a wider war on ISIS. Virtually every media report about building the case for war mentions it.
McCain’s rhetoric is particularly hypocritical in light of his trip to Syria in May of 2013 to discuss giving arms and support to Syrian rebels. One researcher noticed that one of the men meeting with McCain looks just like Ibrahim al-Badri (a.k.a. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader and commander of the Islamic State in Iraq, otherwise known as ISIS). Pictures tweeted by McCain himself show him talking with rebels including a man who matches al-Badri’s mugshot on Wikipedia before growing the prominent beard—a beard that, like bin-Laden’s, makes it easy for dumbed-down Americans to identify the terrorist figurehead (or look-alike as needed).
Like Bin Laden, I suspect Al-Baghdadi is a paid agent of the CIA or McCain would never have been set up to meet with him and others. They are all smiling—certainly no enemies of the US in reality. The NY Times joined in rehearsing the widespread calls for going into Syria.
The Obama administration is debating a more robust intervention in Syria, including possible American airstrikes, in a significant escalation of its weeks-long military assault on the Islamic extremist group that has destabilized neighboring Iraq and killed an American journalist.
But that would be a violation of Syrian sovereignty were the US to intrude without permission. And, apparently, the US has no intention of asking permission. As Fox News pointed out,
Syria’s government on Monday demanded the Obama administration seek permission before launching any airstrikes on its territory against Islamic State targets, while the State Department indicated it had no intention of seeking “the approval of the Syria.”
And that’s because the US wants to do more than merely attack ISIS. A military incursion into Syria would be very complex. The US doesn’t want to help Assad and yet picking and choosing who to attack among the various rebels forces in Syria—which the US has been financing (including ISIS)—is fraught with problems. Who is really moderate and who is not? I don’t think any rebel group is moderate. If anyone is playing the moderate stabilizing role, it’s Assad.
The ultimate US objective in Syria is to remove Bashar al Assad and topple his pro-Russian government so that Israel can finally get the green light to attack Iran without fear of Syrian missile retaliation. In some way the US is conniving to use the need to attack ISIS in Syria as a path toward controlling Syria and taking down Assad.
There are many devious ways in which the US can assist the Syrian rebels while playing as if they are attacking ISIS in Syria.
[…]
Background on the creation of terror:
Let me take a minute to give some background on how the phony war on terror is morphing into something even more unstable for the US, as years of occupation have increased the ranks of jihadists far in excess of the few hundred the US used to control directly in the lead up to 9/11.
Except in the small-scale Palestinian attacks on Israel, there wasn’t much real terror in the world prior to 9/11. And what there was very much manipulated by US, British, Israeli and German intelligence agencies (of the dark side variety). They developed small cadres of controlled terrorists to drive various political agendas.
Many of these were a perversion of Operation Gladio—originally designed after WWII as a secret “underground” force that stayed behind to spy on the continuing communist drive to subvert Europe. But since the US wasn’t really interested in dismantling or undermining Communism, the various Gladio cells were gradually replaced and retrained to recruit and take over small emerging terrorist groups.
That effort got a major boost after the Russians invaded Afghanistan. The US hired one Osama bin Laden and funded him via Saudi Arabia in order to oust the Russians from Afghanistan. But after the war the US kept bin Laden in service in order to create al Qaeda, which would be used to put the western world under the threat of terror.
September 11 was the biggest single trigger event that created the war on terror, and it was simultaneously blamed on al Qaeda and used to justify the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan—neither of which had anything to do with 9/11. Neither was bin Laden (who was still under the pay of the CIA and already ill with kidney disease) the instigator and executor of 9/11—except perhaps to coordinate or recruit both the list of false hijackers (listed by the US as the perpetrators) and the real ones (still unknown), and organize their training on modern Boeing airliners owned by friendly Arab states.
Otherwise, everything else in the 9/11 attack was a US black operation, including the loading of demolition charges in WTC buildings 1, 2, and 7 and arranging (most likely) for remote-controlled aircraft to hit the Pentagon and crash into WTC buildings 1 and 2.
Only US black ops could have conceived and carried out this complex of an operation, which required sophisticated equipment and insider access to all the buildings, aircraft, air traffic control, etc. and the ability to create diversionary military exercises at the precise time of the attack, and coordinate the extensive coverup in the aftermath.
The important thing about all this background information on building the war on terror is this:
In the aftermath of the US war on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan and the decades-long occupation, thousands of additional Muslims were energized to hate America and NATO countries. They formed or joined many new radical jihadist organizations that were too large and varied to be directly controlled by US and British intelligence services as before. They could only be indirectly controlled through infiltrating their leadership and providing funding, arms and material support from controlled allies. That still provides a lot of control since no substantial terror organization exists without a major state sponsor.
That’s what I believe we are seeing in ISIS today—a major new source of war and terror created purposefully, yet somewhat indirectly, by US funding through surrogate nations like Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey.
So in the case of ISIS, the US creates another terror monster, fails to curtail its supply depots and arms caches in Iraq until it’s too late, and now after the Iraq invasion by ISIS the US has the excuse to mount major air attacks (with support of hundreds of Special Forces the US never admits to) in order to stop what they created. But it won’t stop—and may not ever be able to be stopped completely because the US will continue to make more enemies as it attacks ISIS.

ISIS Trained by US Government
In a surprising development, it appears that the group known as ISIS (The Islamic State of Syria and Iraq) may have actually been trained by the United States government. According to a report published in Reuters, the Syrian rebel group was trained in Jordan over the last two years by US government officials and military experts. If this is true, it would shed a very interesting light on what is the actual agenda of the United States government in a country where they profess to be seeking stability.
According to the article, it was not known whether those doing the training were direct members of the US government or if they worked for a private firm, but the main focus of the training was on anti-tank weaponry. The report continues to point out that 200 men were trained at the facility and that over 1200 will be added in a plan to prepare to free Syria from the rule of President Bashar Al-Assad. Besides the American trainers, it is reported that French and British advisors were present as well to aid in the training.
According to Jordanian intelligence sources, it is reported that the program is designed to create 10,000 fighters who will exclusively be a part of the ISIS group. ISIS is now responsible for the unrest occurring in Northern Iraq, and it would be quite ironic if the United States was actually responsible for the training that is now being used to destabilize the Iraqi nation.
The plan appears to have been designed to train 10,000 “moderates” of Islam in the hope that they would follow American interests in the region. Arizona Senator John McCain even paid a visit to the group during training to show his support for the group, and to demonstrate the support of the US government for their cause. McCain was photographed with General Salim Idris, who was later expelled from the group because he was seen as too moderate for them. The new leader of the group is General Ibrahim al-Douri, who was the Vice-President of the Revolutionary Council under former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. He was supposed to be the successor to Hussein, and looks like this goal may still be reached.

McCain: Americans Should “Accept” That Their Private Conversations Are Being Monitored
“It’s just the way we live”
Paul Joseph Watson

May 9, 2014
Senator John McCain told a radio show recently that Americans should “accept” the notion that their private conversations are being recorded by the government, even in the privacy of their own homes.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K96zPaAcbHs]
McCain was asked by host Dan Patrick what his thoughts were on the Donald Sterling controversy, in particular the concept of private conversations being recorded and then released publicly. Sterling’s controversial remarks became public after his girlfriend V. Stiviano taped hundreds of hours of private discussions between the two.
“What about taping somebody in his own home, using that…..” asked Patrick.
“It’s the world we’re living in, you don’t like it, but everything I say I expect to be recorded,” McCain responded.“It’s just the way we live, Dan. It’s something you’ve got to accept. I don’t particularly like it, but it is what it is,” added the Senator, making reference to a recent poll which revealed that 53% of Americans believed their telephone conversations were being listened to.
McCain went on to remark that young people were naive about government surveillance of private communications because the country had forgotten the lessons of 9/11.
“We’re all grown people and we have to realize we live in the 21st century,” added McCain.
Though McCain denied that the NSA was listening to every telephone conversation in America, as former NSA employee turned whistleblower William Binney has emphasized on multiple occasions, the space required to store mere metadata and not actual content of conversations is minimal.
The reason the NSA is building huge data centers which cover 1.5 million square feet, like the facility in Bluffdale, Utah, is because the agency is storing actual content of phone calls, online chats and conversations.
Indeed, according to Binney, the NSA is analyzing conversations in real time and has a Google-style search capability for all our communications.
If Americans were aware of the level to which their supposedly private conversations were being monitored, they may be a lot less willing to “accept” such an intrusion, despite McCain’s attempt to couch the debate in the fatalistic notion that mass government surveillance is an inescapable inevitability.

This Is Insanity!
I believe Albert Einstein is credited with saying, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Using that definition, it would appear that many of our so-called “conservative” friends are insane. Every four years, they accept a phony conservative Presidential candidate and expect somehow that they are going to achieve a different result. They never do. Either the phony conservative loses because he is virtually indistinguishable from his Democrat opponent (i.e., John McCain), or after being elected while campaigning as a true conservative, he governs as a big-government neocon, and the course of the country changes not one iota (i.e., George W. Bush). This election year is no exception.
The GOP has nominated a man who has governed as a big-government liberal in one of the most liberal (if not the most liberal) states in the union: Governor Mitt Romney of Massachusetts. Furthermore, on virtually every issue one can think of, Governor Romney has flip-flopped more often than a fish that just landed in the bottom of a boat. To get a feel for just how often Romney changes his positions, watch this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQwrB1vu74c&feature=related
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQwrB1vu74c]
If Mitt Romney has proven anything, it is that his word means absolutely nothing. Nothing! Romney is an opportunistic chameleon who will say anything or do anything to get elected. Yet, this is the man whom conservatives trumpet as the savior of America! Why? He is a Republican, and, therefore, he must be better than the Democrat. In short, Mitt Romney is the lesser of two evils. But is he really?
First, the short-sighted, narrow-minded thinking of party loyalists (Republican and Democrat) demonstrates what can only be regarded as a slave mentality. People who vote nothing but party label are in truth already slaves. They are slaves to an elitist establishment that uses the machinery of the two major parties (at the national level) to advance a diabolical globalist agenda. That’s why it doesn’t matter to a tinker’s dam whether it’s Bill Clinton or G.W. Bush–or Barack Obama or Mitt Romney–who is elected President: nothing changes the march towards globalism and oppression. At the top, both major parties are controlled by globalists.
For the sake of those who truly respect America’s founders and the principles upon which this nation was founded, I would encourage readers to familiarize themselves with George Washington’s Farewell Address. In my opinion, Washington’s Farewell Address is the greatest political speech ever delivered in US history. It literally shaped the course and direction of the country for decades, perhaps even a century. It really was not until the Twentieth Century, when presidents such as Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Roosevelt came along, that America started steering a course in direct opposition to the principles laid forth in Washington’s Farewell Address. Since then, the vast majority of presidents, Republican and Democrat, have almost universally ignored the sagacity of Washington’s Farewell Address, which is why nothing has changed regardless of which party gains the White House. …
Are we not seeing, and have we not seen, the veracity of Washington’s warnings? People who only see and vote for a party label are more responsible for the demise and deterioration of our liberties than any foreign enemy. For them to accept and support any candidate, as long as they wear the party label regardless how unethical, dishonest, duplicitous, and insensitive to constitutional government they might be, is what has brought America to the precipice of destruction over which she now teeters.
Second, how can a person who has succumbed to evil have the discernment to say which evil is greater? When people consciously surrender the spirit of virtue and integrity by deliberately supporting a candidate they know has a track record that is antithetical to the principles of liberty, how are they qualified to judge what is good and what is evil? By knowingly rejecting truth and a good conscience, they have already accepted the spirit of evil in their hearts. Such people are in no condition to make moral judgments regarding good and evil!
In fact, one could make a darn good argument (and many have) that a phony conservative Republican is a worse evil than a true liberal Democrat. I, for one, share that position. I think only the most biased historian would dare to say that the eight years of Bill Clinton were worse than the eight years of George W. Bush.
One reason why phony conservative Republicans are so dangerous to our liberties is because most conservatives, Christians, and constitutionalists refuse to resist and challenge a Republican President when he abandons the principles of constitutional government. Since he is a Republican, he gets a free pass.
At this juncture, I invite readers to watch the following summary of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney by Dr. Alan Keyes. Having received a Ph.D. from Harvard University and having served as Ambassador to the United Nations under President Ronald Reagan, Keyes is no slouch. Without a doubt, Alan Keyes has one of the sharpest minds and most articulate tongues in the entire country. Listen to his response to the question, “Will you support Mitt Romney?” See the video at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4R4KtYVF-74&feature=youtu.be
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4R4KtYVF-74]
On virtually every salient issue, the differences between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama are miniscule. They both supported TARP; they both supported Obama’s economic stimulus package; they both supported so-called assault weapons bans and other gun control measures; they both supported the bailout of the auto industry; neither of them supports immediately balancing the federal budget; they both have a track record of being big spenders; they both fully support the Federal Reserve; they both oppose a full audit of the Fed; they are both supporters of universal health care; both men are showered with campaign contributions from Wall Street; neither of them wants to eliminate the IRS or the direct income tax; both men are on record as saying the TSA is doing a “great job”; they both supported the NDAA, including the indefinite detention of American citizens without due process of law; they both supported the renewal of the Patriot Act; they both support the “free trade” agenda of the global elite; they are both soft on illegal immigration; they both have a history of appointing liberal judges; they both believe the President has the authority to take the nation to war without the approval of Congress; and neither of them has any qualms about running up more public debt to the already gargantuan debt of 16 trillion dollars.

Tell me again why Romney is better than Obama!
There are even some party slaves who are so brazen as to suggest that if we do not vote for the phony conservative Mitt Romney it means that we are harming true conservatives at the local and State levels. … It is when Republicans nominate known pseudo-conservatives, such as John McCain (and now Mitt Romney), that they fail to achieve sizeable victories nationwide. So, even if Romney wins, he will provide no coattails for his fellow Republicans around the country. …
It’s too bad that Ron Paul is not running as an Independent. It would be a tremendously interesting election if he were.
So, here we are again: conservatives keep doing the same thing over and over (supporting a pseudo-conservative for President) and keep expecting a different result. Einstein was right: this is insanity!

Fortunately, there are some politicians who simply cannot be bought, and the Ron Paul family is one of them. Sarah Palin is not. I want to comment on what I believe is the crucial way in which Sara Palin has been co-opted by the money issue in her quest for political power. An interesting piece came out in Vanity Fair this week entitled, “Palin in Private” by Michael Joseph Gross. It was clearly a hatchet job on Palin by a Leftist, but I have to admit, it was based mostly on truths that the Palin team does not want aired. Gross fails to balance his embarrassing revelations with any of Palin’s redeeming qualities.
During her vice presidential candidacy with John McCain, Palin underwent a painful transition from principled libertarian to controlled Republican show girl. She’s being used now and doesn’t see that all the attention the media is lavishing upon her is not intended to promote her, but to set her up for a fall. During the 2008 campaign she started out bucking the establishment advisors that were clearly attempting to control her. But despite initial resistance to the fame, fancy hotels and celebrity treatment, she eventually succumbed to the new lifestyle and learned to like it.

The Battle For The Republican Party
By Joel Skousen

Actually, there is no doubt who controls the Republican Party, and it is not K-Street lobbyists, as Examiner columnist Timothy Carney claims. These big lobbying machines work, indirectly, for the Powers That Be (PTB) – the real forces that control both Republicans and Democrats. The powerful and wealthy lobbyists that have historically had big offices on K-street in Washington DC only provide a level of insurance to keep things running smoothly. The real battle for control of the GOP is over the conservative base that is increasingly joining the Tea Party rebellion in opposition to mainstream control of the Republican party and its role in growing big government. Establishment Republican leaders like Newt Gingrich and Michael Steele continue to promote false conservative candidates with big money backing, hoping to convince Tea Party supporters that only moderate Republicans can win in November. Sadly, uncompromising and hardline candidates have won only a few races in the primary season, while main-stream candidates have generally succeeded in snookering conservatives into supporting re-branded liberals as conservatives.
Big wins by the Tea Party hardliners were Rand Paul’s victory over Tim Greyson in Kentucky, Joe Miller’s slim defeat of Republican Senator Lisa Murkowsky in Alaska, and the ouster of Utah mainstream Senator Robert Bennett in the Utah primary. The nomination of anti-global warming scientist Art Robinson in Oregon to challenge Democrat Peter DeFazio was also a big win for constitutional conservatives.
Big wins by the establishment, on the other hand, were the renomination of Senator John McCain in Arizona, the Texas defeat of Debra Medina by Gov. Rick Perry and the wins of Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina over their respective conservative challengers for the Republican primary in California. In most of the smaller races, mainstream (but fairly conservative) Republican candidates won as well. There were a few outright conservative frauds that won–Ben Quayle in Phoenix, the lackluster son of former VP Dan Quayle, was the prime example. He was funded by former Pres. George H. W. Bush and his entire entourage of establishment hacks from Washington.
Despite the fact that most Tea Party candidates failed to win in Republican primaries, the movement is still a huge force to be reckoned with because of its size and uncompromising demeanor. Nothing was more exemplary of this than the huge rally organized by Fox News commentator Glenn Beck in Washington DC this past week, which drew an estimated 800,000 people. The media played its usually role as truth saboteur by grossly underestimating the crowds in attendance and by giving excessive play to the objections of black civil rights leaders who were incensed that Beck grabbed “their spot” on the Washington mall before they could.
The media was successful in taunting Beck so badly over the “politicization of the rally” issue that Beck was forced to downplay his rhetoric, discourage banners, and bill the event as a moral and religious rally honoring our troops(everyone’s favorite ploy) instead. It lost some of its fire in doing so, but it made up for it by appealing to an ecumenical spirit of cooperation among the various conservative religious factions–which is badly needed.
The establishment is in the middle of a powerful campaign to co-opt the Tea Party movement, so we must understand how they intend to do this. Primarily, they intend to use the power of money to make sure that real conservatives are denied funding and that controlled conservatives are so richly funded that they won’t dare to risk losing that funding.
First, I will comment on Tim Carney’s piece in the Examiner for its interesting analysis on the role of well healed lobbyists in the Republican party. [my comments in brackets]
“Bob Dole, once the standard-bearer of the Republican Party, parlayed his political clout into personal wealth [only happens to lawmakers who play along with the PTB during their tenure], and now he’s putting that wealth to work against a conservative Republican Senate candidate in a general election. Dole, now a lobbyist at Alston Bird, contributed $1,000 on Aug. 11 to the independent Senate campaign of Charlie Crist, who left the GOP in April. Dole’s may be an extreme case– because he’s actually backing a non-Republican [this is actually a reflection of the fact that Dole is on the globalist team and they’ll support fellow liberals like Crist even after they have been forced out of the party, when their masquerade fails]– but it epitomizes the fundamental split within the Republican Party.
“The current GOP fault line is not exactly conservatives vs. moderates or new guard vs. old guard. For 2010, the rivalry is the Tea Party wing against the K Street wing [what I call the mainstream wing, because it is not just a matter of catering to lobbyists and big money]. To tell which kind of Republican a candidate is, see how the Democrats attack him: If he’s branded a shill for Wall Street, he’s from the K Street wing. If he’s labeled an extremist outside the mainstream, he’s a Tea Partier.
“More tellingly, study their campaign contributions [yes]. K Street Republicans’ coffers are filled by the political action committees of defense contractors, drug companies, lobbying firms, and Wall Street banks. A Tea Party Republican is funded by the Club for Growth or the Senate Conservatives Fund, which is run by the Republican leadership’s least-favorite colleague, Jim DeMint [not so. True Tea Party candidates are supported almost exclusively from small contributions from individuals].
“In Colorado’s Senate primary last week, the Tea Party trumped K Street as Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck upset former Lt. Gov. Jane Norton. Norton, herself a former lobbyist who tried to run from that background, raised $293,000 from PACs. Buck got only $2,500 in PAC cash. Buck got zero support from Republican lawmakers’ PACs while 15 GOP incumbents funded Norton, including leaders Mitch McConnell, Lamar Alexander, John Thune and Kay Bailey Hutchison. Two senators who have cashed out to K Street — Mel Martinez and Trent Lott — also put their money behind Norton [all mainstream insiders].
“Kentucky shows an even starker contrast. Before the May 18 Senate primary, secretary of state and McConnell acolyte Trey Grayson had raised a half million dollars from PACs –20 times the PAC haul of upstart Rand Paul. Paul got a check from outgoing curmudgeon Sen. Jim Bunning, but 18 Republican senators bankrolled Grayson’s campaign, plus the Republican Mainstreet Partnership and three top House Republicans. Grayson pocketed political action committee cash from businesses that have sided more with Obama than with Republicans, such as $10,000 from drug maker Pfizer — a key champion of Obamacare. Other Grayson funders are a rogues’ gallery of subsidy sucklers and regulatory robber barons: bailout bandits like the American Bankers Association and the Managed Funds Association; Obamacare backers like the American Hospital Association and a dozen drug companies; ethanol baron Archer Daniels Midland; cap-and-trade profiteers like Duke Energy; and government contractors like the Chubb Corp. and Northrop Grumman. A K Street lobbyist who had represented AIG during the bailouts hosted a fundraiser for Grayson, and at least a dozen lobbying firms and industry groups backed him with cash.
“And of course, Trent Lott was a Grayson donor. Lott is the captain of the K Street team. He told a reporter last month his thoughts on the Tea Partiers: ‘We don’ t need [or want] a lot of Jim DeMint disciples. As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them [very telling].’ Lott’s proposed co-opting is not primarily ideological — Norton and Grayson, and their inside-the-Beltway patrons are all fairly conservative [as only the mainstream would define it]. The main distinction between Team Lott and Team DeMint might have less to do with policy platforms and more to do with a politician’s attitude toward the Washington nexus of power and money.”
This last part is absolutely true. That is the key issue whether or not a candidate is owned by the establishment. If he is, Tea Party supporters don’t trust them, no matter how conservative they claim to be. One only need to view John McCain’s complete reversal of position on illegal immigration to see how essential it is not to believe what they say, but watch who’s behind them.
“Nevada’s Sharron Angle [battling Senate majority leader Read] is anti-bailout and anti-subsidy [and the establishment is pulling out all the stops to discredit her]. Paul could try to shrink defense spending and ethanol subsidies. In Florida, Republican Marco Rubio isn’t a game player like Dole’s buddy Crist is.
“You can see today, by their improved personal financial situations, what Lott and Dole were trying to accomplish in Washington. You can also guess which current Republicans will join them on K Street in a few years — andplay ball with them in the meantime. But Tea Partiers and DeMint disciples will come to Washington with an aversion to K Street. Now that Lott and Dole have sided so clearly against them, maybe K Street will have a harder time trying to co-opt them.”
In a more recent article Carney finds another gem about Republican manipulation–trying to help re-elect Democratic Senator Reid: “Why would the former chairman of the Republican National Committee — he ran the GOP for six years during Reagan’s presidency — endorse Democrat Harry Reid in a dead-heat election? Because that GOP bigwig is from the K Street Wing of the Republican Party [wrong–because he is part of the PTB working to control both parties]. Frank Fahrenkopf is now head of the American Gaming Association, the gambling industry’s lobby. This cycle, like last cycle, Fahrenkopf has funded Reid’s reelection [Why is a supposedly conservative Republican running the gambling lobby? It is just more evidence of their true colors – they are and were only playing roles to fool conservatives].”
When Palin returned to Alaska, vowing to rise again and break loose from the coercion of the establishment, the PTB sicced their media dogs on her to set her up for failure and to bring her back into their arena. Legal and media pressure were applied almost constantly while she was governor of Alaska and nearly drove her to bankruptcy with various ethics charges and the resulting legal challenges. As I indicated, I’m convinced it wasn’t their purpose to destroy her, but rather to drive her into the arms of the monied Republican king-makers who could offer to be her “saviors” (a book deal worth at least $10M was a good start) and then set traps to control her once she had become used to the lavish lifestyle of a political celebrity. Look at what she has become, according to interviews conducted by Michael Gross:
“Warm and effusive in public, indifferent or angry in private: this is the ‘pattern of Palin’s behavior toward the people who make her life possible.’ A onetime gubernatorial aide to Palin says, ‘The people who have worked for her–they’re broken, used, stepped on, down in the dust.’ On the 2008 campaign trail, one close aide recalls, it was practically impossible to persuade Palin to take a moment to thank the kitchen workers at fund-raising dinners. During the campaign, Palin lashed out at the ‘slightest provocation, sometimes screaming at staff members and throwing objects. Witnessing such behavior, one aide asked Todd Palin if it was ‘typical of his wife.’ He answered, ‘You just got to let her go through it… Half the stuff that comes out of her mouth she doesn’t even mean.’ When a ‘campaign aide gingerly asked Todd whether Sarah should consider taking psychiatric medication’ to control her moods, Todd responded that she ‘just needed to run and work out more.’
“Her anger kept boiling over, however, ‘and eventually the fits of rage came every day. Then, just as suddenly, ‘her temper would be gone. Palin would apologize and promise to be nicer.’ ‘Within hours, she would be screaming again.’ At the end of one long day, ‘when Palin was mid-tirade,’ a campaign aide remembers thinking, ‘You were an angel all night. Now you’re a devil. Where did this come from?’ The intensity of Palin’s temper was first described to me in such extreme terms that I couldn’t help but wonder if it might be exaggerated, until I heard corroborating tales of outbursts dating back to her days as mayor of Wasilla and before. One friend of the Palins’ remembers an argument between Sarah and Todd: ‘They took all the canned goods out of the pantry, then proceeded to throw them at each other. By the time they got done, the stainless-steel fridge looked like it had got shot up with a shotgun.’ This friend adds, ‘She has a horrible temper, but she has gotten away with it because she is a pretty woman.’
“When Palin was mayor, she made life for one low-level municipal employee so miserable that the woman quit her job, sought psychiatric counseling, and then left the state altogether to escape Palin’s sphere of influence–this according to one person with firsthand knowledge of the situation. Palin’s former personal assistants all refused to comment on the record for this story, some citing a fear of ‘reprisal.’ Others who have worked with Palin recall that, when she feels ‘threatened, she does not hesitate to wield some version of a signature threat: ‘I have the power to ruin you.’
“William Kristol [a neocon globalist], editor of The Weekly Standard, and Fred Malek, aide to Presidents Richard Nixon and George H. W. Bush are advisors. Lawyer Robert Barnett, the most successful literary agent in Washington–his clients range from Hillary Clinton to Dick Cheney to Tony Blair–negotiated Palin’s reported $7 million advance for Going Rogue, and he helps oversee her ‘speaking schedule, which is arranged by the Washington Speakers Bureau.
“The small inner circle that shapes Palin’s voice day to day includes lobbyist Randy Scheunemann, a director of the neoconservative think tank ‘Project for the New American Century,’ [which provided the theoretical “New Pearl Harbor” impetus for the government’s false flag attack on the WTC] who advises Palin on foreign affairs [which explains her neocon positions supporting more wars of intervention]. Palin’s speechwriter is Lindsay Hayes [from the McCain camp]. Doug McMarlin and Jason Recher, both of whom did advance work for George W. Bush, serve as ‘bodyguards and confidants. Both Hayes and Recher were on Palin’s 2008-campaign road team, and both were known for indulging her whims, according to their colleagues.”
In short, her life is very different now than before. When initially presented with a fancy and expensive new outfit during the McCain campaign, she expressed horror that the campaign would spend huge sums on designer clothes. Now she only buys expensive clothes, demands first class airfare when her private jet isn’t available, and drives a new Cadillac Escalade with tinted windows. FOX pays her over a million dollars a year for her pat, unoriginal commentary (broadcast from her own studio at her home), and she still commands huge 6 figure fees for speaking engagements which guarantees that the most principled Tea Partiers (who are poor) can rarely afford to attend. A new 6,000-square-foot stone-clad château style home is being built for her, complete with an airplane hangar for Todd Palin’s Piper Cub.

Palin Goes Rogue Against Tea Party Candidates, by Valerie Richardson
Sarah Palin demonstrates why most evangelicals dissed Ron Paul, who wanted to bring the troops home. ‘Christians’ have two sets of books: one for US and one for THEM (“who don’t deserve rights”). THEY’re not our ‘neighbor’ whom Jesus commanded US to love as much as ourselves. Maybe that’s why most evangelicals refuse to investigate 9/11. If THEY didn’t take down the towers…???

JOHN McCAIN’S ATTACK ON LIBERTY
By Chuck Baldwin
August 24, 2010
NewsWithViews.com
Anyone paying attention knows that John McCain has been a Big-Government Globalist Neocon (BGGN) for virtually his entire senatorial career. As with many BGGNs hiding out in the Republican Party, McCain likes to talk about smaller government, but his track record is littered with the promotion of one big government program after another. But, what else would one expect from a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR)?
Lately, however, McCain has outdone himself. He has introduced two bills in the US Senate that are about as Machiavellian as they could be. I am referring to S.3081, a bill that would authorize the federal government to detain American citizens indefinitely without trial, and S.3002, a bill that would authorize the federal government to regulate vitamins, minerals, and virtually all health and natural food products.
According to Examiner.com, “John McCain introduced a bill into the U.S. Senate which, if passed, would actually allow U.S. citizens to be arrested and detained indefinitely, all without Miranda rights or ever being charged with a crime.”
The Examiner report continued by saying “This bill, introduced by McCain, who despite overwhelming evidence, claims to be a ‘conservative,’ would not only take away our right to a trial, but would also allow the federal government to arrest and imprison anyone the current administration deems hostile.
“Of course, that would be the same administration whose Homeland Security Secretary has classified veterans, retired law enforcement, Ron Paul [and Chuck Baldwin] supporters, and conservatives as ‘terrorists.'”
The Examiner report concluded by saying “If it was not clear before, it should be now that John McCain has as little respect for the Constitution as he does for our borders.”
Amen!
If McCain gets his way, your constitutional right to a speedy trial by jury is gone, as well as your constitutional right to Habeas Corpus. But, of course, they would attempt to justify this by claiming it is being done in the name of national security and the war on terrorism.
See the Examiner report here.
Regarding McCain’s desire for the federal government to take over the vitamin industry, attorney Jonathan Emord wrote, “If you had any doubt about whether John McCain is a limited government conservative, you may put that doubt to rest–he is not. On February 3, 2010, John McCain introduced to the United States Senate the Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010. Reflecting upon this poorly written bill, I am struck by the fact that John McCain apparently sees little difference between fissile material and dietary supplements. He is intent on regulating supplements as if they were radioactive enriched uranium rather than bioactive vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and botanicals that more often than not help people.
“The Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010 enjoys support from the most liberal members of Congress. It is an invitation for the FDA to assume broad new powers and replicate here the system now operating in Europe over dietary supplements where dietary ingredients are presumed adulterated and unlawful to sell unless pre-approved by the government. In short, good bye free enterprise, good bye limited government, and hello more heavy handed, arbitrary and punitive FDA bias against the beleaguered dietary supplement industry.”
See Emord’s column here. …
And, yes, this is the same John McCain who was one of the primary movers and shakers (along with Obama, Lindsey Graham, and G.W. Bush) who attempted (and would again) to provide amnesty to illegal aliens and open America’s borders to illegal immigration.
