Putin’s ‘City-Killer’: Russia Launches World’s Largest Nuclear-Armed Submarine

It’s being popularly dubbed “Putin’s city-killer” – and is also being widely acknowledged as the largest submarine in the world to be built for 30 years: Russian Navy’s ‘Special Mission’ K-329 Belgorod has been put to see for the first time within the past days, undergoing sea trials.

This week, one of Vladimir Putin’s main political opponents in Russia, Alexei Navalny, returned to the country and was immediately taken into custody.

Navalny made a name for himself in Russia as an anti-corruption lawyer who repeatedly accused Putin of various crimes – including making himself rich by diverting Russian money into multi-million dollar properties and other fronts.  Navalny tried to run for president against Putin, but was barred from doing so.

With over 5 million Youtube subscribers and 2 million Twitter followers, Navalny has vast influence – and many believe that he is receiving support from the Central Intelligence Agency.

Navalny has led many protests over the last several years.  He has been jailed many times and has also been the victim of multiple physical assaults.  In August of 2020, Navalny was on a flight to Moscow when he suddenly became deathly ill.

The plane made an emergency landing. By the time he arrived at the hospital, he was in a coma.  they placed him on a ventilator to keep him alive.

After toxicology tests, scientists in Germany declared that Navalny had been poisoned with Novochok nerve agent – a chemical weapon that had been developed in the Soviet Union.

Eventually, Navalny emerged from his coma and, despite believing that Putin or the Kremlin had ordered the hit on him, he returned to Russia from Germany on January 17th, 2021.

Before landing, his plane was ordered to divert to an alternate airport where Russian security took in him into custody on charges of parole violation.  He is being held until at least January 29th when he will face a hearing to determine whether he should return to prison.  His wife has since been taken into custody as well.

In response to Navalny’s arrest, tens of thousands of Russians began protesting in the streets throughout the country.

Very interesting about Russia and Putin at 13:10 in this video! Many truthers, including Mike Rivero, whose show I often listen to, think Putin is such a hero statesman, when in reality, he’s turning Russia into a police state, and is getting ready to EMP and nuke the USA.
 
They’re using 100,000 facial recognition cameras in Moscow to track those who have broken quarantine rules.
 
100,000 seemed like a lot to me in only Moscow, so I checked, and find they actually have 170,000, but only 100,000 are equipped with facial recognition right now.

Moscow’s deployment of ‘Avangard’ hypersonic warheads means the US missile defense installations in Europe are now obsolete – and that Washington would have to spend a lot of money it doesn’t have in order to catch up.

Video released by the Russian defense ministry on Friday shows the hypersonic glider warheads being loaded onto silo-based missiles. For now, the Avangards will be mounted on the UR-100N (or SS-19 Stiletto, as NATO calls them) ballistic missiles, until the RS-28 Sarmat is ready to enter service.

Hypersonic weapons fly far faster than the speed of sound. Avangard is capable of reaching Mach 27 without losing control or disintegrating under heat and pressure. This means that the weapon can outmaneuver any defenses on its approach phase, rendering it “absolutely invulnerable to any air or missile defense system,” in the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Russia has made an apparent U-turn on its prior signaling that it would supply the advanced S-300 surface-to-air missiles to Syria after this week’s major escalation between Syria and Israel, which involved scores of surface-to-surface rockets being fired by both sides, primarily across the contested Golan border, and some 28 Israeli aircraft firing around 60 air-to-surface missiles at Syria during the exchange. …
It must also be remembered that this week’s exchange of fire began just as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu concluded the 10-hour visit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, and less than a day after Trump pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal. Russia unlikely to limit Israeli actions in Syria: Netanyahu

JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Russia is unlikely to try to limit Israel’s military actions in Syria, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday after meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Since intervening in the Syrian civil war on behalf of President Bashar al-Assad in 2015, Russia has generally turned a blind eye to Israeli attacks on suspected arms transfers and deployments by Assad’s Iranian and Lebanese Hezbollah allies.
But Moscow’s condemnation of an April 9 strike that killed seven Iranian personnel set off speculation in Israel that Russian patience might be wearing thin.
Netanyahu flew to Moscow on Wednesday to meet Putin, hours after U.S. President Donald Trump quit the Iranian nuclear deal and after Syria accused Israel of carrying out a fresh missile strike on an army base near Damascus.
“Given what is happening in Syria at this very moment, there is a need to ensure the continuation of military coordination between the Russian military and the Israel Defence Forces,” Netanyahu told reporters before departing, referring to a hotline designed to prevent the countries clashing accidentally.
After the talks with Putin, Netanyahu sounded upbeat.
“In previous meetings, given statements that were putatively attributed to – or were made by – the Russian side, it was meant to have limited our freedom of action or harm other interests and that didn’t happen, and I have no basis to think that this time will be different,” he told reporters in a phone briefing. …
 
Netanyahu’s relationship with Putin has been buoyed by a long-running Israeli courting of Russian sensitivities.
During his 10-hour Moscow visit, the Israeli leader attended, alongside Putin, annual Red Square celebrations of the anniversary of the end of World War Two. Israel recognizes the Russian date, May 9. Most Western powers mark it on May 8.
“When the president of Russia invites the prime minister of the state of the Jews to stand alongside him at the parade symbolizing the Red Army’s victory over the Nazis, its liberation, also, of the (concentration) camps, of Jews and others – for Russia, that is very significant,” Israeli Intelligence Minister Israel Katz told the Ynet news site.

By 2025, the Ohio fleet is impressive but aging—and shrinking. Budget cuts have reduced the number of nuke-carrying Ohios to just eight by 2020  [Joel Skousen often points out that the USA has agreed to dock half of our fleet of 8 subs, so only 4 will be at sea at any given time], creating a retirement schedule of one boat a year between 2015 and 2020. Their replacements are not due to be deployed until 2030. “Fewer submarines would make it easier for a potential adversary to track and target U.S. forces,” the Congressional Budget Office reported in 2013. “The operating areas for those submarines would be more predictable because missiles must fly a certain trajectory to hit key targets.”

Beijing has sent a delegation to Russia to show Washington the unity of Russian and Chinese military forces and “support” Russia at the 7th Moscow Conference on International Security.
Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe voiced strong support for Russia during the talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Shoigu. While stressing “the united position” on the international arena, the minister said that one of the main goals of the visit was to send a message to Western powers.
“The Chinese side came to let the Americans know about the close ties between the Russian and Chinese armed forces,”Wei said.
