Pastor Chuck Baldwin: Best And Worst Of 2008 — The Religious Right has become nothing more than a gaggle of glorified hacks for the Republican Party

From: News with Views

Internet publishers such as Paul Walter make my “best” list, too. Paul publishes News With Views. He and people such as Jim Rudd at Covenant News have carried my columns for years. These are men who also know what’s going on and are not afraid to print the truth. Thanks, guys. …

In addition to the mainstream media, and worthless talk show hosts such as Sean Hannity, I must include the majority of so-called leaders within the Religious Right as making my “worst” list for 2008. I include James Dobson, Pat Robertson, and Tony Perkins on this list.

For all intents and purposes, the Religious Right has become nothing more than a gaggle of glorified hacks for the Republican Party. They have sacrificed virtually every principle worth defending. For the sake of sitting at the king’s table, or not losing financial support from brain-dead contributors, these men have sold the cause of freedom and constitutional government down the river. Their mindless support for John McCain was inexcusable and embarrassing! In so doing, they have lost all credibility.

Also making my “worst” list in 2008 are the many pastors and church members around the country who continued to support one of the worst Presidents in American history: George W. Bush. This man has taken America to the precipice of financial ruin; he has created the foundation for a police state; he has trampled the Constitution and Bill of Rights like no President since Abraham Lincoln; he has used our bravest and best for his sinister plans of interventionist adventurism; he has set the wheels of global government and national socialism in motion, as has no other President (I’m sure Barack Obama will do more than his share to augment socialism in the United States, but remember, it is George W. Bush that has laid the foundation for the acceptance of national socialism). I’m not sure that America will ever truly recover from his Presidency. Yet, a majority of conservative pastors and church members continue to idolize George Bush. What an embarrassment!

Both the Democrat and Republican Parties make my “worst” list for 2008. In one year, both major parties nominated two men, neither of whom was constitutionally qualified to be President of the United States. Now, that’s quite a feat!

The Council on Foreign Relations, international bankers, and other global elitists also make my “worst” list for 2008. When will the people of America awaken to the reality that our worst enemies are not “liberals” and “leftists,” as much as they are the global elitists who control the Federal Reserve and other internationalist entities that are committed to dismantling America’s independence and sovereignty?

Is the Party Over?

From: News with Views, Derry Brownfield

We have been watching the Stock Market, the multi-billion dollar bailout, bank closings, mortgage defaults and now the entire economic mess is being turned over to the “unelected financial elite.” Patrick J. Buchanan writes: “The Crash of 2008, which is now wiping out trillions of dollars of our people’s wealth, is like the Crash of 1929, likely to mark the end of one era and the onset of another. We are witnessing what happens to a prodigal nation that ignores history and forgets and abandons the philosophy and principles that made it great. For years Americans have spent more than we earned. We saved nothing. Our standard of living is going to fall. The party’s over. What we are witnessing today is how empires end.”

Ron Paul stated: “The bailout is not just economically foolish. It is downright sinister. It makes a mockery of our Constitution, which our leaders should never again bother pretending is still in effect. You can’t stop a problem of too much spending and too much deficits and too much monetary inflation with more of it. So I’m positively opposed to the bailout and believe it will just delay the correction that is required.” Paul goes on to say: “We are in the middle of something very big. We’re not talking about trillions of dollars, the obligation is immeasurable. An economy structured on debt and credit lies at the root of the current financial meltdown. The end comes when the people reject the dollar and I think we’re getting awfully close to this.

Photo: Those ‘Devastating’ Hamas Rockets

Just one fired rocket is abominable — unless it’s truly fired in self-defense with a high probability of actually killing the perpetrators after all other options are exhausted — including talking, apologizing for past atrocities and freeing innocent captives.

And instead of having a national policy of REMEMBERing the holocaust. Isn’t it time for Israel to forgive and learn to love, instead of hate?

Most Americans have no idea that Hamas’ rockets aren’t even close to military grade rockets, like the U.S.-made ROCKETS that Israel fires back.

Click for Reuters Photo. Road repair not even needed? Compare to the crater a U.S.-made rocket or bomb would have left. And Israel hits the homes they target, having already killing hundreds of innocent residents after the rocket firers are long gone — like what happened in Lebanon.

An Israeli police officer stands guard next to the remains of a rocket that landed just outside the southern town of Sderot January 1, 2009.

Hamas’ Glorified Bottle Rockets

The ECONOMIC COLLAPSE of 2009 — Debt created by futures speculation is 16 times greater than the sum total of the entire wealth on the planet?

From: RBN, Dave Hodges

In the United States, credit swap derivatives created national debt totals of over one quadrillion dollars. That is one thousand trillion dollars! The entire GDP of the planet is estimated at $66 trillion dollars. And somehow, in the infinite wisdom of Congress, we falsely and naively believed that a $750 billion transfer of wealth (i.e., bailout) was magically going to save the economy and the collective futures of the American middle class. In short, the debt created by futures speculation is approximately 16 times greater than the sum total of the entire wealth on the planet! And we think we are going to climb out of this?

The bailout is enough, just enough, to float the economy through the 2009 presidential inauguration. The placebo effect of the anticipated widespread public hope, which will be fueled by the Obama inauguration, may push the inevitable economic crash out another 30 days, but not much further. America is living on both borrowed money and borrowed time.

The present bail out (i.e., the public theft of our collective private assets) will not save your job, your mortgage or your pension. If the bailout was going to preserve anything but the bottom line of the international banksters, then ask yourself why NORTHCOM is constantly conducting riot suppression activities. What does NORTHCOM and the Government know that most Americans do not know with regard to what lies ahead?

The bailout is nothing but a power play which provided the means for the Treasury Secretary (i.e., the treasury czar), the former head of Goldman Sachs, Henry Paulson, to gain absolute power over the economy. Does any well-informed person think that Obama is going to bring about real change? Where is Obama’s new Treasury Secretary coming from?

Meet the new boss, the same as the old boss. The new Treasury Secretary elect, Timothy Geithner, is the President the New York Fed. And what about Clinton’s chief financial advisor, Larry Summers who has now resurfaced in the Obama administration? Summers and Robert Rubin, another Goldman Sachs colleague, in conjunction with Paulson, undermined the Glass-Steagall Act during the Clinton administration. The Glass-Steagall Act resulted from Depression era policies which wisely prohibited banks from becoming insurance brokers and engaging in other unsavory practices such as participating in the credit swap derivatives ponzi schemes. If Rubin and company had not convinced Clinton to scrap Glass-Steagall, we might not be on the precipice of economic disaster.

Who Picks Obama’s Cabinet? Why Did Jimmy Carter Cry?

Many are disappointed by President-elect Barack Obama’s cabinet member picks. But the elite that chose and vaulted him get to choose his cabinet too.

Here’s a lesson from history.

From: The New World Order, 1991, p. 104-5, by Pat Robertson, transcribed by Jeff Fenske

After the general election in November, I spoke to President-Elect Carter during  three-way telephone conversation along with pro-family activist Lou Sheldon of California. I suggested to Governor Carter that he, as a strong evangelical, might want to include some evangelical Christians among his appointments. He greeted the idea with enthusiasm and agreed to receive a list if we could get it to him within two weeks.

Lou Sheldon and I worked night and day to put together a short roster of names and resumes. The finished product was outstanding. All of the candidates were Democrats. All were highly distinguished in government, business, or education.  …

When the document was ready, I chartered a small aircraft to take Lou Sheldon to the grassy strip in Georgia we laughingly called “Plains International.” Sheldon arrived at the Carter residence to find the next president barefoot and in blue jeans. They greeted each other warmly, and Sheldon proudly presented the booklet. Carter took it, read it, and began to cry.

When he got back to Virginia Beach, Sheldon said, “Jimmy was so touched by all the work that we did that tears came to his eyes.” I said, “Lou, you are wrong. The reason he cried is because the appointment process is out of his hands, and he is not going to appoint any of those people.” And indeed my words were true. not one of our recommendations—men and women who on the surface shared every principle that Jimmy Carter espoused—was appointed to public office, or even seriously considered.

Chapman Money Tip: How to Pay Off Your House During Hyperinflation

To the wise and prudent,

What’s coming down looks ugly. The both-wise-and-honest (scarce, these days) economic strategists are saying hyperinflation will soon be upon us, maybe within months.

This is all being done by design, as the Illuminists continue the destruction of America through those they’ve once again put into power, in order to bring us into the one-world government, antichrist system.

Most Americans rejected, many even went along with the laughing at Ron Paul. Now, we’ll have to eat crow. And McCain is their man too. Either way they win.

And Obama didn’t choose his cabinet, just as Jimmy Carter didn’t.

Presidential elections are largely a sham. That is to say, while the party is of minor importance, the actual person of the President is largely irrelevant. What’s more important is the Cabinet; they control the flow of information to the President, and no President can make a correct decision without the correct information.

The best explanation of this is from Pat Robertson in his book The New World Order (Written in the ’80s before, IMHO, he went off the deep end). Mr. Robertson speaks of after the ’76 election and how Jimmy Carter was essentially handed a listing saying who his cabinet members would be; he had little choice in the matter. source

But there are strategies that can make the “Change has come to America” less painful.

I recently heard one of the wisest strategists, Bob Chapman of The International Forecaster, suggest that if a person does have extra money right now, buy gold. So when the value of the Dollar plummets, gold will retain value and spike. The international banksters can only keep the price of gold down so long.

Then sell the gold and pay off your house or whatever.

Freedom!

Ron Paul: Governments DISHONESTLY Terrorize People’s Hearts With FEAR to Take Over

Ron Paul, interviewed by Alex Jones, 12/18/08; transcribed by Jeff Fenske (proofing and adding to quotes from article linked below)

Governments that want to take over, and undermine our liberties and have more power always use the fear factor. They did this leading up to the war in Iraq…. They do it on foreign policy, now they’re doing it on economic, monetary, and financial problems.”

“They do that all the time, that’s their technique, is always to build a tremendous fear in the hearts of the people. … Terrorize the people and say that ‘we are your saviors and we’re the only ones that can take care of you’.”

The dilemma that we have is that we’re scared too. There should be a lot of fear. It’s knowing the truth that counts. They use the weapon of fear dishonestly. But in many ways, we have to talk about the dangers too.

____

“I think everybody knows we’re in a crisis now and they have now gotten to the point where they don’t trust the government, which is healthy. A lot of people are begging and pleading and they’re lining up. But the average guy outside of Washington, especially so many of the young people are realizing that this has all been a hoax and this is the time to really expose the hoax.”

“We have a real opportunity to direct attention to the real culprit and that is those who control the monetary system. Those who counterfeit our money and cause the financial bubbles and then recessions, and now are working real hard on a depression.”

Brief History of Elite’s Manipulation of U.S. Through Wars

From: News with Views, If War Had Not Come in Fierce and Exaggerated Form, by Dennis L. Cuddy, Ph.D.

A new movie, Valkyrie, with Tom Cruise has just premiered, and in an interview Cruise said he was surprised by the openness of Col. Claus von Stauffenberg (the character Cruise plays) in discussing his plot to kill Hitler in 1944. What Cruise and most people don’t understand is that Hitler’s ability to begin and wage WWII were facilitated by the Power Elite (PE)!

From the American perspective, the PE’s use of wars goes back over 200 years. The PE was concerned that the young American Republic was too independent of their control. I’ve mentioned in previous columns Philip Freneau’s article in AMERICAN MUSEUM in 1792 describing how the PE would regain control of the U.S., and their use of a war and its predetermined outcome. I’ve also already described how the Civil War was designed to create a Gulf Empire, splitting the South from the rest of the U.S.

On February 5, 1891 Cecil Rhodes as a member of the PE began his secret Society of the Elect after writing to his close friend W.T. Stead that his (Rhodes’) idea would “ultimately lead to the cessation of all wars. . . . The only thing feasible to carry this idea out is a secret one (society) gradually absorbing the wealth of the world to be devoted to such an object. . . . Fancy the charm to young America. . . to share in a scheme to take the government of the whole world!” Among Rhodes’ Association of Helpers (AH) were two Germans, Helmuth James von Moltke and Adam von Trott zu Solz. The AH formed Round Table groups, out of which would come the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), largely funded by J.P. Morgan interests.

World War I was manufactured by the PE for the purpose of creating the first attempt at a world government (the League of Nations). PE agent Col. Edward House in the CFR’s FOREIGN AFFAIRS (June 1923) wrote that “if war had not come in fierce and exaggerated form,” the League would not have materialized. In John Kenneth Turner’s SHALL IT BE AGAIN? (1922), one finds that the J.P. Morgan firm had drawn up plans to scare Americans into joining the war….

When the League failed to produce the desired world government, then a Second World War had to be manufactured to produce the United Nations, which was discussed long before the end of WWII. American (e.g., J.P. Morgan) and British banks funded German industries such as I.G. Farben from Hitler’s early days. According to G. Edward Griffin, Farben “was the primary source of funding for Hitler (and) staffed and directed Hitler’s intelligence section and ran the Nazi slave labor camps. . . . During the Allied bombing raids over Germany, the factories and administrative buildings of I.G. Farben were spared upon instructions from the U.S. War Department.” The War Department widely was staffed by agents of the PE, who had worked for Rockefeller’s National City Bank, Rockefeller’s Dillon, Read & Company, J.P Morgan’s Equitable Trust, etc. …

No-win wars like in Korea and Vietnam were planned as well. In U.S.A. magazine (May 1951), Gen. Douglas MacArthur revealed: “I am convinced I was restrained in Korea by some secret Administration policy directive or strategy about which I was not informed.” The PE through its agent, Gen. George Marshall, facilitated the Chinese Communists coming to power in 1949. This was because as State Department Study Memorandum No. 7 (published under Rhodes scholar Secretary of State Dean Rusk in 1961) stated: “If the Communist dynamic was greatly abated, the West might lose whatever incentive it has for world government.”

The American loss in Vietnam (remember Freneau’s 1792 revelation about planned war losses) was to undermine patriotism, thus making a world government more acceptable. …

Thus, it was critical to have a war involving Iraq…. Of course, there was an American military response to Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait, and President Bush delivered his famous “Toward a New World Order” address to Congress on September 11, 1990.

Israel’s & U.S.’ Attrocities: May We No Longer Be Silent

Michael Franti: “The F-15 is a Homicide Bomber”

From: Counterpunch, May We No Longer Be Silent, By Paul Craig Roberts

The title of my article comes from the sermon of the Episcopal Bishop of Washington DC, John Bryson Chane, delivered on October 5, 2008, at St. Columba Church. The bishop’s eyes were opened to Israel’s persecution of Palestinians by his recent trip to Palestine. In his sermon he called on “politicians seeking the highest office in [our] land” to find the courage to “speak out and condemn violations of human rights and religious freedom denied to Palestinian Christians and Muslims” by the state of Israel. …

Israel’s excuse for its violence is that from time to time the Palestinian resistance organization, Hamas, fires off rockets into Israel to protest the ghetto life that Israel imposes on Gazans. The rockets are ineffectual for the most part and seldom claim Israeli casualties. However, the real purpose for the Israeli attack is to destroy Hamas.

In 2006 the US insisted that the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank hold free elections. When free elections were held, Hamas won. This was unacceptable to the Americans and Israelis. In the West Bank, the Americans and Israelis imposed a puppet government, but Hamas held on in Gaza. After unheeded warnings to the Gazans to rid themselves of Hamas and accept a puppet government, Israel has decided to destroy the freely elected government with violence.

Ehud Barak, who is overseeing the latest act of Israeli aggression, said in interviews addressed to the British and American publics that asking Israel to agree to a ceasefire with Hamas would be like asking the US to agree to a ceasefire with al Qaeda. The terrorism that Israel inflicts on Palestinians goes unremarked. …

The White House put the blame squarely on Hamas.” The British government also blamed Hamas.

For the US and UK governments, Israel can do no wrong. Israel doesn’t have to stop withholding food, medicine, water, and energy, but Hamas must stop protesting by firing off rockets. In violation of international law, Israel can drive West Bank Palestinians off their lands and out of their villages and give the stolen properties to “settlers.” Israel can delay Palestinians in need of emergency medical care at checkpoints until their lives ebb away. Israeli snipers can get their jollies murdering Palestinian children.

The Great Moral Anglo-Americans couldn’t care less.

In his 2005 Nobel Lecture, British playwright Harold Pinter held the United States and its British puppet state accountable for “the systematic brutality, the widespread atrocities, the ruthless suppression of independent thought.” Everyone knows that such crimes occurred in the Soviet Union and in its East European empire, but “US crimes in the same period have only been superficially recorded, let alone documented, let alone acknowledged, let alone recognized as crimes at all,” this despite the fact that “the United States’ actions throughout the world made it clear that it had concluded it had carte blanche to do what it liked.”

Soviet crimes, like Nazi ones, are documented in gruesome detail, but America’s crimes “never happened. Nothing ever happened. Even while it was happening it wasn’t happening. It didn’t matter. It was of no interest. The crimes of the United States have been systematic, constant, vicious, remorseless, but very few people have actually talked about them You have to hand it to America. It has exercised a clinical manipulation of power worldwide while masquerading as a force for universal good. It’s a brilliant, even witty, highly successful act of hypnosis.”

Kucinich: UN should investigate Israeli Gaza strikes — “this…is disproportionate indiscriminate mass violence”

From: Raw Story

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) called for an independent investigation to be led by the United Nations into the recent eruption of violence between Israel and Hamas along the Gaza strip that has killed scores of innocent civilians.

Monday brought a third day of Israeli bombing Gaza in what the state is calling its “all-out” war on Hamas. So far, 345 people have been killed by the bombs. At least 57 of the dead are civilians, including 21 children, according to the UN.

Kucinich said he wrote to UN General Secretary Ban ki-Moon urging an “independent inquiry of Israel’s war against Gaza.” The Democratic lawmaker said Israel’s attacks are an example of “collective punishment,” which violates the Geneva Conventions.

“The perpetrators of attacks against Israel must also be brought to justice, but Israel cannot create a war against an entire people in order to attempt to bring to justice the few who are responsible. The Israeli leaders know better,” Kucinich said in a news release Monday. “The world community, which has been very supportive of Israel’s right to security and its right to survive, also has a right to expect Israel to conduct itself in adherence to the very laws which support the survival of Israel and every other nation.”

Kucinich compared the latest bombing campaign to Isreal’s earlier strikes at southern Lebanon targeted at Hezbollah. Then too, he said, civilians were killed, infrastructure was destroyed and lawlessness took hold in the country.

“All this was, and is, disproportionate, indiscriminate mass violence in violation of international law. Israel is not exempt from international law and must be held accountable,” he said. “It is time for the UN to not just call for a cease-fire, but for an inquiry as to Israel’s actions.”

President Bush, on the other hand, has signaled a continuation of his firm support for Israel.

Whether or not you agree with these opinions, the point is that they can be expressed in Israel.

In America, people are lambasted for even raising the issue of whether Israel could possibly do anything wrong.

Report: U.S. Army Readying In Case Economic Recession Gets Ugly

From: Newsmax, U.S. Military Preparing for Domestic Disturbances

A new report from the U.S. Army War College discusses the use of American troops to quell civil unrest brought about by a worsening economic crisis.

The report from the War College’s Strategic Studies Institute warns that the U.S. military must prepare for a “violent, strategic dislocation inside the United States” that could be provoked by “unforeseen economic collapse” or “loss of functioning political and legal order.”

Entitled “Known Unknowns: Unconventional ‘Strategic Shocks’ in Defense Strategy Development,” the report was produced by Nathan Freier, a recently retired Army lieutenant colonel who is a professor at the college — the Army’s main training institute for prospective senior officers.

He writes: “To the extent events like this involve organized violence against local, state, and national authorities and exceed the capacity of the former two to restore public order and protect vulnerable populations, DoD [Department of Defense] would be required to fill the gap.”

Freier continues: “Widespread civil violence inside the United States would force the defense establishment to reorient priorities *in extremis to defend basic domestic order … An American government and defense establishment lulled into complacency by a long-secure domestic order would be forced to rapidly divest some or most external security commitments in order to address rapidly expanding human insecurity at home.”

International Monetary Fund Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn warned last week of riots and unrest in global markets if the ongoing financial crisis is not addressed and lower-income households are beset with credit constraints and rising unemployment, the Phoenix Business Journal reported.

Sen. James Inhofe of Oklahoma and Rep. Brad Sherman of California disclosed that Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson discussed a worst-case scenario as he pushed the Wall Street bailout in September, and said that scenario might even require a declaration of martial law.

* “In extremis is a Latin phrase meaning ‘in the furthest reaches’ or ‘at the point of death’, generally referring to grave or exceptional circumstances.”
