Six Proofs Masks Do Not Reduce Infections
1. Insubstantial: A CDC-funded review on masking in May 2020 came to the conclusion: “Although mechanistic studies support the potential effect of hand hygiene or face masks, evidence from 14 randomized controlled trials of these measures did not support a substantial effect on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza… None of the household studies reported a significant reduction in secondary laboratory-confirmed influenza virus infections in the face mask group.” If masks can’t stop the regular flu, how can they stop SAR-CoV-2?
2. Unreasonable: “Evidence that masking as a source [of] control results in any material reduction in transmission was scant, anecdotal, and, in the overall, lacking… [and mandatory masking] is the exact opposite of being reasonable,” ruled a hospital arbitrator in a dispute between The Ontario Nurses’ Association and the Toronto Academic Health Science Network.
3. Ineffective: “Oral masks in healthy individuals are ineffective against the spread of viral infections,” write Belgian medical doctors in an open letter published in The American Institute of Stress, September 24, 2020.
4. Unsanitary: “It has never been shown that wearing surgical face masks decreases postoperative wound infections,” writes Göran Tunevall, M.D. in the World Journal of Surgery. “On the contrary, a 50% decrease [in bacterial infection] has been reported after omitting face masks.”
5. No Protection: “There were 17 eligible studies.… None of the studies established a conclusive relationship between mask ⁄ respirator use and protection against influenza infection,” concludes a research review in the journal Influenza and Other Respiratory Viruses.
6. Unproven: Dutch Minister for Medical Care, Tamara van Ark, asserted that “from a medical perspective there is no proven effectiveness of masks” after a review by the National Institute for Health on July 29, 2020 (according to Reuters).
Five Ways Forced Masking is Immoral
1. Reckless: “By making mask-wearing recommendations and policies for the general public, or by expressly condoning the practice, governments have both ignored the scientific evidence and done the opposite of following the precautionary principle,” writes Denis Rancourt, PhD in his 2020 paper Masks Don’t Work.
2. Manipulative: Dr. Andreas Voss, member of the World Health Organization expert team and head of microbiology at a Dutch hospital in Nijmegen, on July 24, 2020, told I Am Expat that masks were made mandatory “not because of scientific evidence, but because of political pressure and public opinion.”
3. Fear-Mongering: “In fact, there is no study to even suggest that it makes any sense for healthy individuals to wear masks in public,” write Drs. Karina Reiss, Phd and Dr. Sucharit Bakdi, MD in Corona, False Alarm? “One might suspect that the only political reason for enforcing the measure is to foster fear in the population.”
4. Totalitarian: “If you look at the history of totalitarian regimes… they all do the same thing, which is they try to crush culture, and crush any evidence of self-expression…” explains Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in an interview regarding face masks. “And what is the ultimate vector for self-expression? It’s your facial expressions…. [Yet] we’ve all been told to put on the burqa and be obedient.”
5. Virtue-Signalling: “Masks are utterly useless,” testified Dr. Roger Hodkinson, a pathologist, certified with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, at a city council meeting. “…masks are simply virtue-signalling… It’s utterly ridiculous seeing these unfortunate, uneducated people — I’m not saying that in a pejorative sense — walking around like lemmings, obeying without any knowledge base, to put the mask on their face.”

If in March 2020, instead of predicting 2.2 million COVID-19 deaths for the U.S. by the end of August 2020, the experts predicted 100,000 per year, we would have warned the vulnerable, advocated for better hygiene and personal responsibility, and carried on with our lives.

Did Anchorage’s Emergency Orders work?
Let’s take a look at the numbers that matter. Cases alone are irrelevant, as testing is unreliable (lots of false positives because cycle thresholds were too high), and most people just have the sniffles. The important metrics are deaths and hospital capacity (which is what we were told in the beginning, that the intent behind mandates was to protect hospital capacity and save lives).
In Anchorage, with extremely restrictive orders, a mask mandate, and no in-person school, there have been 242.12 hospitalizations / 100,000 people and 55.2 deaths/ 100,000. (Using a population of 288,000)
In the Mat Su, which has had no health powers nor mandates in place since May, and kids in school since August, there have been 92.7 hospitalizations / 100,000 people and 32.7 / 100,000 people. (Using a population of 110,000)

Facebook’s “fact check” claims that the virus particles don’t come through the mask because they’re always spread through respiratory droplets? No doubt, anything going around the mask gets out as if there were no mask, and if droplets do encounter the mask, trying to get through, if they didn’t evaporate and get through the mask, all masks would be soaking wet, dripping on the person from the massive amounts of water vapor people exhale.
Water vapors do go through the mask, just not in large, individual droplets, which cannot travel six feet anyway, when someone accidentally spits while talking, for example.
A doctor friend online who posted this video says “some of the Covid particles are not on droplets, but are free floating,” so are independent of droplets, and are tiny enough to go through the much larger fabric pores.
And regarding the particles that are on droplets, they can move through the mask material and be pushed out the other side with future exhalations that send water vapor away from the mask.

Infamous Wuhan Lab Authorized To Receive US Taxpayer Funding, NIH Confirms
The National Institutes of Health confirmed Tuesday that the Wuhan Institute of Virology is authorized to receive U.S. taxpayer funding for animal research through January 2024, according to the Daily Caller.
The research lab in Wuhan is suspected to have caused the COVID-19 pandemic through an accidental lab leak and has already received $600,000 in U.S. taxpayer funds between 2014 and 2019 to study bat-based coronaviruses through EcoHealth Alliance, a nonprofit organization.
EcoHealth Alliance’s research of bat-based coronaviruses in China was funded by a $3.7 million grant in 2014 from a branch of the NIH, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Arrest of Dr. Simone Gold was Excessively Heavy-handed: I mentioned last week that the FBI had arrested Covid and CDC critic, Dr. Simone Gold, for merely being at the capitol protest and speaking to Trump supporters about the exaggerated pandemic. Pamela Geller points out that she was treated rather violently during the arrest, unlike how the FBI treated agent provocateurs on the Left.
FBI agents banged on the door of the Beverly Hills home of Dr. Simone Gold, emergency room physician, attorney and founder of America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLDS.com). In short order, law enforcement broke down the front door and took her into custody. Shades of Roger Stone. Not knowing what charges were filed against her, Dr. Gold was removed from home, shackled and prohibited from taking any belongings, not even a purse. Her phone and computer were removed as evidence.

Michigan Supreme Court Confirms Whitmer’s Orders Are Out
October 13, 2020
CBS Detroit – After the Michigan Supreme Court ruled that Governor Whitmer’s executive orders were unconstitutional under the 1945 Emergency Powers Act, the Governor appealed for clarification that she had a transition window until October 30 to work with the legislature before the court’s orders took effect.
Now Michigan’s highest court has spoken again and as reported by The Detroit News, ruled in a 6-1 decision that the orders had an immediate effect and denied her time to develop further legislation. …
The initial decision by the court ruled the 1945 Emergency Powers of the Governor Act was unconstitutional and “are of no continuing legal effect.” The 4-3 decision by Justices Markman, Zahra, Viviano, and Clement who represented the majority said the 1945 law gave legislative authority to the governor’s office.
Immediately after the October 2 ruling, the governor reissued mask and public gathering orders through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services under state health statutes already on the books.
