OS: Yes. Yes, both. I don’t think it’s a wild card, I think it’s a given. There’s no way that we can continue this spending spree. In fact, I think in many ways the most interesting candidate – I’d even vote for him if he was running against Obama – is Ron Paul. Because he’s the only one of anybody who’s saying anything intelligent about the future of the world.

LINDSEY WILLIAMS: HOW CREDIBLE?
I get asked quite frequently to comment on Lindsey Williams’ latest revelations which he claims comes from insider oil men that he came to know while a Baptist oil field chaplain in Alaska. At first Williams was very accurate because of first-hand knowledge about a giant US oil field on Gull Island in the Arctic that the government required to be capped to force US dependence on foreign oil. My own opinion is that it was done to preserve US oil for some future world war in which our foreign oil supplies will be cut off. The powers that be (PTB) aren’t hoping to use that oil for our benefit but for their own control of a provoked war that will push us into a New World Order.
Lindsey developed two sources of insider information while in Alaska. The most important was Ken Fromm who later became the head of ARCO oil and was later fired for talking to Williams about holding Gull Island oil off the market. Ken Fromm has since died and another executive close to Fromm has continued to feed Williams supposed insider information about oil and the globalist threat to America.
I do not believe Fromm was a true insider. He was a lower level player at best, who primarily came into contact with the PTB only when he was threatened by federal agents to cap the huge oil find. Obviously ARCO was compensated under the table. Fromm must have then decided to go along, but he was never high enough to know long-term insider plans (which are constantly between tweaked). His sources may have claimed they were telling him high secrets, but that would be very unlikely unless Fromm was evil enough to be trusted by the PTB. I believe Fromm was probably sincere and caught between the threats of government upon his company and his own principles. That is why he wanted to let Williams in on what he felt was going on.
But no true insider would have been talking to a Christian patriot like Lindsey Williams, and Fromm was eventually called on the carpet for doing so. I think Fromm was gleaning some things from those he knew who were part of the conspiracy and passing along orders from above, but Williams clearly doesn’t understand how the conspiracy works and why he had a too-good-to-be-true relationship going. Now he should be much more skeptical of those feeding him part truth and part error.
The PTB record all telephone conversations and email, especially insiders who might be tempted to talk too much, and all journalists—to make sure nothing gets out they don’t want getting out. No one on our side would be allowed deep into the inside, and if someone did by a fluke, he certainly would be discovered quickly and shut down if he were regularly leaking to someone like Williams who runs around telling everything to the world.
The inconsistent thing about Williams’ story is that he claimed he was threatened into shutting down his speaking engagements and stopping publication of his book (The Non Energy Crisis) about the same time Fromm was fired. But then, magically, new sources start feeding him information again and he can keep peddling stories. That’s fishy.
I have no doubt someone is actually talking to Williams, but that person is not on our side and he’s playing with Williams in order to get him discredited. After Fromm died, I think the PTB decided to keep giving Williams some truths and some falsehoods. Williams is rather naive and self-promoting about some things and that made him a good candidate for parlaying disinformation.
Fromm’s colleague took over the task of feeding Williams information and started off feeding information that correctly predicted a collapse in the price of oil. That cemented Williams’ reputation as someone who still had good inside information. A few years ago, the oil manipulators were storing oil in every possible storage facility and empty tanker they could find in order to create an artificial shortage and jack up the price of oil. Williams’ oil insider friend must have known that excess oil storage capacity was nearing an end and that the manipulation game had run out of rope. He told Williams that oil would drop precipitously to $50 a barrel from over $100, and it happened almost exactly that way.
From that point on, Williams was riding high on the claim that he had a perfect track record. But his sources have been more wrong than right lately. Over a year ago he predicted the price of oil would rise to $150 Barrel and that the dollar would be dead within a very short period. When the Euro crisis hit (which boosted the dollar) he said we have “just 2 to 3 weeks until it happens to US!” It didn’t happen. That isn’t to say there aren’t huge problems, just that his timing was way off.
We are still waiting for his “Get Ready for $5 a Gallon Gasoline and Major Food Price Increases!” claimed months ago. Certainly, he’ll be right eventually, but my point is that when he makes these announcements, he claims specific insider detailed information, and the details are wrong. The more Williams hypes the message the more he is beginning to sound like Chicken Little. His latest predictions are also a bit too specific, though generally have a better chance of coming true:
1). U.S./NATO will incite a war with Iran by Sept/Oct of 2012, just before the election which will boost Obama into office for a second term. I too think they will attack, but I’m not at all sure it will wait until then. However, it is very likely that if the PTB want to put Obama in again, a war right before elections is the way to do it. This is possible or even probable.
2) Next fall, it’s coming down (the whole economy). By the end of 2012 he claims “all private fortunes will be lost that are secured with paper.” [I’d say, no way. A total collapse of paper won’t happen till WWIII, and Iran won’t trigger the big war]
3) Gold going to at least $3,000 [unlikely within a year, but inevitable eventually]
4) Gas will be $8-10/gallon, once the war starts and 40% of the world’s oil supply is cut off [more like 10-20%], and Gull Island’s gigantic oil field in Alaska is already being tapped [Alaska pipeline figures don’t support this].
Frankly, since we never hear from Mr. X himself, we can’t tell if the source is putting out these questionable claims or weather Lindsey Williams is exaggerating them into something specific in order to be dramatic. Once a person gets a reputation for ever more dramatic revelations every time he appears on Alex Jones, it’s pretty hard to stop and say something normal, or admit you’ve been wrong—which he never does.

My Epiphany

A number of readers have asked me when did I undergo my epiphany, abandon right-wing Reaganism and become an apostle of truth and justice.
I appreciate the friendly sentiment, but there is a great deal of misconception in the question.
When I saw that the neoconservative response to 9/11 was to turn a war against stateless terrorism into military attacks on Muslim states, I realized that the Bush administration was committing a strategic blunder with open-ended disastrous consequences for the US that, in the end, would destroy Bush, the Republican Party, and the conservative movement.

Desperate to derail Ron Paul’s momentum in New Hampshire, the key early primary state in which polls show Paul has a very real chance of winning, the establishment has thrown its weight behind Newt Gingrich, the ultimate RINO globalist who in reality is about as conservative as Mao Tse-tung.
With the campaigns of Mitt Romney and Rick Perry collapsing, the editorial board of the New Hampshire Union Leader chose to endorse Gingrich on Sunday, a move that the mainstream press immediately hailed as all-important, attempting to bestow kingmaker status on a relatively irrelevant newspaper in the grand scheme of things.
The anointment of Gingrich as Republican frontrunner is just the latest desperate bid to fool voters into supporting anyone other than Ron Paul. From Perry, to Romney, to Cain – the establishment has attempted to crown all of them as top dog – failing every time as each campaign subsequently crashes and burns.
Gingrich will inevitably follow suit because he has more skeletons in the closet than a halloween costume shop. Newt Gingrich is Mr. New World Order – a committed globalist who has publicly made clear his contempt for American sovereignty and freedom on a plethora of occasions, not least when he joined forces with Nancy Pelosi to push the Obama administration’s cap and trade agenda that would have completely bankrupted the country.
“I think if you have mandatory carbon caps combined with a trading system, much like we did with sulfur, and if you have a tax-incentive program for investing in the solutions, that there’s a package there that’s very, very good,” Gingrich told PBS Frontline in February 2007.
And if you think that doesn’t sound bad enough, just wait until you read what Gingrich had to say about mandatory health insurance.
“Personal responsibility extends to the purchase of health insurance. Citizens should not be able to cheat their neighbors by not buying insurance, particularly when they can afford it, and expect others to pay for their care when they need it,” he wrote in a 2007 OpEd for the Des Moines Register.
That’s right – self-proclaimed “conservative” Gingrich is an aggressive supporter of Obamacare, just like his rival Mitt Romney.
Gingrich has also been instrumental in pushing political frameworks with the goal of accomplishing global governance.
As Attorney Constance Cumbey writes, Gingrich worked feverishly with his buddy Al Gore back in the mid-90′s to help create the embryonic architecture of a global parliamentary authority.
Gingrich’s support for NAFTA, GATT, and the WTO entrenched his position as an enthusiastic advocate of globalism and sending American jobs abroad, the “giant sucking sound,” as Ross Perot labeled it It was Gingrich who helped Bill Clinton and the Democrats garner enough votes from Republicans to pass the North American Free Trade Agreement, which is now quickly evolving into the North American Union.
Gingrich’s Council on Foreign Relations membership and his close relationship with his mentor Henry Kissinger cements his role as a key agitator for the destruction of U.S. sovereignty. Indeed, during a July 1995 speech, he openly decried the constitution as being a roadblock to a UN-managed global government.
“The American challenge in leading the world is compounded by our Constitution,” he said. “Under our [constitutional system] – either we’re going to have to rethink our Constitution, or we’re going to have to rethink our process of decision-making.” He went on to profess an oxymoronic belief in “very strong but limited federal government,” and pledged, “I am for the United Nations.”
“In order to understand just how dedicated Gingrich is to destroying the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, consider that he described himself as a “conservative futurist” who enthusiastically recommended as Speaker of the House his colleagues read Alvin Toffler’s 1980 book The Third Wave,” writes Kurt Nimmo.
“In the book, Toffler wrote a letter to America’s “founding parents,” in which he said: “The system of government you fashioned, including the very principles on which you based it, is increasingly obsolete, and hence increasingly, if inadvertently, oppressive and dangerous to our welfare. It must be radically changed and a new system of government invented – a democracy for the 21st century.” According to Toffler, our constitutional system is one that “served us so well for so long, and that now must, in its turn, die and be replaced.””
The shudder-inducing thought of Newt Gingrich in the White House makes the prospect of a second term for Obama look positively inviting.
At least we know what to expect from Obama. Gingrich is that most dangerous kind of political animal – a wolf in sheep’s clothing – being able to harness the ability of sweet-talking conservatives into calm acquiescence while simultaneously sacrificing America on the altar of globalism.

What drives him is his quest for liberty, freedom, and fair play. “My goal is for us to learn from history and have a freer, libertarian, constitutional society,” he explained. We are at a huge crossroads right now, and rather than the “greedy and hateful Illuminati” controlling human destiny, “I want to empower the better aspects of humanity, and really see how far we can go,” he stated.
Regarding the TSA’s invasive pat downs and X-ray machines, he believes they are part of a plan “to break our will, and to train us that we have absolutely zero rights, zero liberties, and that the government any time it wants can pull you over, or come into your house without a warrant.” Jones announced that in addition to his radio show, he is now hosting Info Wars Nightly News, a live video news program covering the day’s headlines, with unscripted analysis.
“I will never stand for a national anthem again. I will turn my back and I will raise a fist the same way Tommy Smith and John Carlos did back in the ’68 Olympics. Jesse Ventura will do that today.
I have lost my patriotism. It’s gone. And I say that with a deep heart. …they’ve stripped me of it, by not allowing me to have a day in court with a jury to determine if my 4th Amendment rights are being violated. …

Jesse Ventura Berates Facist America Over Court Ruling 2011
One day after Jesse Ventura lost his legal challenge to airport pat-downs and full-body scans, the former Minnesota governor declared Friday that he will “never fly commercial again” and just might run for president so he can change passenger security measures.
Ventura made his comments outside the federal courthouse in St. Paul, where in January he sued to challenge the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) airport security procedures. The suit was thrown out because Congress set up the law so that all such challenges must be brought directly in Circuit Courts of Appeals, wrote U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson.
After getting a titanium implant in his hip in 2008, Ventura’s suit said, he started lighting up airport magnetometers. At first, screeners waved a magnetic hand wand over him and sent him through. But last year, the TSA’s enhanced screening procedures meant he had to go through invasive full-body scans or pat-downs, the suit added.
The scans reveal too much and the pat-downs require a security officer to grope his body, “including private and sensitive areas,” the suit read.
“I will never fly commercially again,” Ventura said to reporters Friday, adding that he hasn’t flown since he was searched at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport nearly a year ago.
He complained that the federal courts are denying him constitutional rights, but said that he’s unsure whether he will appeal Thursday’s dismissal.
“I want a trial by jury. They tell me I can have a jury decide my fate!” Ventura said. “If given a jury, I will win.”
He questioned whether he could trust a panel of three government-paid appeals court judges. But he left open the door, noting that he hadn’t conferred with his attorneys yet.
Ventura contended that the TSA’s procedures treat passengers as guilty until proven innocent. “I will not, in a free country, be treated like a criminal,” he said.
Ventura added that he and his wife, Terry, intend to apply for Mexican citizenship and become dual citizens. The two have spent long stretches of time living in Mexico since he left office.
He then zeroed in on longtime political reporter Pat Kessler. After pausing for effect, Ventura said maybe the only way to change the rules at TSA is to become president.
Asked whether he was planning to run, Ventura responded, “I’m thinking about it.” That’s something he’s done in previous election cycles, but he has never been a candidate for the White House.
“Jesse’s on a roll!” he quipped.
Ventura, governor from 1999 through 2002 and earlier a pro wrestler as Jesse “The Body” Ventura, currently hosts “Conspiracy Theory” on the truTV network. His held up the press conference he called for a couple of minutes until his own crew could get set up.
One reporter noted that Ventura had expressed security concerns while he was governor in the wake of the 9/11 terrorism attacks. “Don’t even get me started on 9/11,” Ventura responded.
“George Bush said we were attacked because they were jealous of our freedoms. So we take away our freedoms so they won’t be jealous anymore?” he said, incredulous. “I think they’re winning.”

[Secretariat] was an American Thoroughbred racehorse, who in 1973 became the first U.S. Triple Crown champion in twenty-five years, setting new race records in two of the three events in the Series—the Kentucky Derby (1:59 2/5), and the Belmont Stakes (2:24)—records that still stand today.
Secretariat was sired by Bold Ruler (a grandson of Nearco) and foaled to Somethingroyal. He was foaled at Meadow Farm in Caroline County, Virginia. Like the equally famous horse Man o’ War, Secretariat was a large chestnut colt and was given the same nickname, “Big Red.”
Owned by Penny Chenery (aka Penny Tweedy), he was trained by Lucien Laurin and mainly ridden by fellow Canadian jockey Ron Turcotte, along with apprentice jockey Paul Feliciano (first two races), and veteran Eddie Maple (last race). He raced in Penny Chenery’s Meadow Stable’s blue and white checkered colors and his groom was Eddie Sweat.
The story of Secretariat began with the toss of a coin in 1968 between Christopher Chenery of Meadow Stables and Ogden Phipps of Wheatley Stable. The idea of a coin toss came from Phipps, the owner of Bold Ruler, and Bull Hancock of Claiborne Farms as a way to get the very best mares for Bold Ruler, and when the toss went their way, to add well-bred fillies to their own broodmare band. Bold Ruler was considered one of the important stallions of his time. He had a fine balance between speed and stamina, having had a frontrunning style but the stamina to go 1 1/4 miles; he finished 3rd in the 1957 Kentucky Derby. After his racing career, Bold Ruler was retired to Claiborne Farms but still was controlled by the Phipps family. This meant he would be bred to mainly Phipps’ mares and not many of his offspring would find their way to the auction ring. Phipps and Hancock agreed to forgo a stud fee for Bold Ruler in exchange for getting to keep one of two foals produced by the mare he bred in successive seasons or two mares he bred in the same season. Who obtained which foal or even received first pick would be decided by a flip of a coin.
In 1968, Chenery sent two mares named Hasty Matelda and Somethingroyal to Bold Ruler, and in 1969, a colt and filly were the result. In 1969, Hasty Matelda was replaced by Cicada, but she did not conceive. Only one foal resulted between Bold Ruler and Somethingroyal. As stated in the original agreement, the winner of the coin toss could pick the foal he wanted but could only take one, while the loser would get the other two. Both parties assumed Somethingroyal would deliver a healthy foal in the spring of 1970. The coin toss between Penny Chenery and Ogden Phipps was held in the fall of 1969 in the office of New York Racing Association Chairman Alfred Vanderbilt II, with Hancock as witness. Phipps won the toss and took the weanling filly out of Somethingroyal, leaving Chenery with the colt out of Hasty Matelda and the unborn foal of Somethingroyal.
On March 30, at 12:10 a.m., Somethingroyal foaled a bright red chestnut colt with three white socks and a star with a narrow blaze. By the time the colt was a yearling, he was still unnamed. Meadow Stables’ secretary, Elizabeth Ham, had submitted 10 names to the Jockey Club, all of which were denied for various reasons. Approval finally came with the 11th submission, a name Ham herself picked from a previous career association, Secretariat.
Secretariat’s owner entered into a syndication deal that precluded the horse racing past age three. Accordingly, Secretariat’s last race was against older horses in the Canadian International Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Canada. It was the second time in his career that he raced on grass and the first time he was asked to go one and five-eighths miles (just a furlong further than he’d already run twice that year). Secretariat won with another impressive performance. With Ron Turcotte out with a five-day suspension, Eddie Maple rode Secretariat to victory by 6 1/2 lengths.
Altogether, Secretariat won 16 of his 21 career races, with three seconds and one third, for in-the-money finishes in 20 of 21 starts, and total earnings of $1,316,808.
At age three, Secretariat was again named Horse of the Year, as well as winning Eclipse Awards as the American Champion Three-Year-Old Male Horse and the American Champion Male Turf Horse.

My brother Bill was driving by the farm where Secretariat was living. He shot some video which turned out to be some of the last video taken of this special horse. This was a day or two before Secretariat was put down. The TV station Bill worked for turned the footage into a wonderful story.

I watched the movie “Secretariat” last night. WoW!!!!!!!
I watched the movie “Secretariat” last night. WoW, am I encouraged!!!!!!!
This true story isn’t mainly about a great horse. It’s about a great, “stubborn” woman who wouldn’t give up despite all of the naysayers.
I wasn’t familiar with the lead actress, but Diane Lane is ABSOLUTELY INSPIRING in this nearly perfect movie that I could recommend to everyone in that it’s also clean — which is why Lane wouldn’t get the Oscar she deserved. It also has a disqualifying gospel song.
I had a feeling it would be good, because ‘Secretariat’ was directed by Randall *Wallace*, who wrote the screenplay for one of my all-time favorite movies, ‘Braveheart,’ the story of Scottish freedom-fighter, William *Wallace* (Randall believes they’re probably related).
If you need encouragement to pursue EXCELLENCE no matter the odds, and no matter what might now lie ahead …

Was there Another Option for Steve’s [Jobs] Cancer?
I am certainly not an expert in the treatment of cancer but it seems that Steve got the best cancer care possible. He avoided all treatments for nine months before electing to have a surgical intervention that frequently is curative for this type of cancer. Conventional Medicine as a Religion
DG: … Conventional academic medicine is the last religion left in America. We’ve become an irreligious society. The media would never trust a politician, a religious leader, or anyone in the position of the government. But when it comes to academic medicine, if some guy in white coat says, “Boo,” everyone would say, “Oh my God he said ‘boo,’ let’s go [write] an article.”
Conventional academic medicine is like religion. Of course, they have their temple – if you look at Sloan-Kettering, it looks like the Mormon tabernacle. It looks like a temple. The priests – the doctors – they wear their own robes, like the ancient Hebrew priests. They have strict regulations about their dress or robe. These guys were robes, too, and they have the priesthood as the status quo. You know, the white code. They’re very distinguished-looking, always impeccably dressed and with shiny shoes and all. And they have their own language – the priesthood or whatever religion always has its own specific spiritual religious language that the rest of the mortals don’t understand. Of course, doctors have this scientific gibberish that the media don’t understand. The most cynical journalist who wouldn’t trust anything a politician says, when Sloan-Kettering sends out a press release, reprints it as literally the word from God.
So the way you have to look at medicine is not as a scientific profession, but rather a religious profession. It’s the last reigning religion in America. The NIH, NCI, or American Cancer Society has its temples, priesthood. It has its irrational beliefs. It has its own special language. It has its tools, it has its rituals. The doctor known for making rounds is a ritual. You learn very little making rounds as a doctor. It’s all ritual for the patient – it’s a religious ritual that doesn’t have much of a value to the patient. So they have rituals and all these things that are equivalent to kind of a priesthood class of religion, rather than an objective thing. Once you realize it, you’ll go, “Oh, that makes perfect sense.”
The reason Linda McCartney went for a bone marrow transplant is not because she read the data and realized it would work for her. It’s because she believed in it – it was a faith issue. She was going to this priesthood kept in a temple in New York City. They had resources, and she could pay for them. So it was religion to her. Patrick Swayze to the best of the best – Stanford is the West Coast mecca. It’s a religious temple. When he went there, it was faith, even though there’s not a single piece of evidence they gave him that chemo would cure him and would lead to substantial results. He did it because of faith – irrational faith, because it’s the belief that academicians really have these special secrets that none of us have and none of the lay people (we mortals) know. Their special knowledge, wisdom, or rituals would make us better.
The fact that they don’t make us better – Landon died, Patrick Swayze died, Linda McCartney died; I could list 20 celebrities that consulted or called me, never did my program, and are dead because they went to the conventional route.
Why didn’t they do mine?
I don’t have a temple. I don’t even own a white coat. I can wear a white coat – a good one – but I don’t have one on purpose. I’m not part of the academic priesthood, so I don’t wear a white coat. Yes, I have a stethoscope and a medical office like any because I need that, but I’m not part of the academic priesthood.
Michael Landon picked that up right away. In fact, his press agent, Harry Flynn, wanted him to come and see me. Harry and I remained close friends. He was really upset, and one of Landon’s comments about me is that I wasn’t fancy enough. I wasn’t fancy enough, so he went to the priesthood. He went to Cedars-Sinai.

Steve Jobs just died. I know that almost everyone is celebrating his life. I have been a big fan, myself, having used Macs since 1987. I’ve watched many of Steve’s Keynote Addresses with great anticipation.
But I started hearing things that bothered me, words like Darwin, but even before Darwin came out. I knew something was wrong. And then I heard Katherine Albrecht talk about the Macintosh logo, the apple with a bite out of it — what Adam and Eve did when they rebelled against God. And I thought of how myself and probably millions of others proudly display that symbol in public not thinking….
I covered mine up with this sticker:
Paul said:”Our warfare isn’t against flesh and blood, but principalities and powers in the heavenly realms….” People are not our enemy. The powers of darkness are, and they took down our friend, Steve Jobs. And this makes me sad.

… However, these propagandists aren’t just targeting the young. Take for example Apple Computers, makers of the popular Macintosh line of computers. The real operating system hiding under the newest version of the Macintosh operating system (MacOS X) is called… Darwin! That’s right, new Macs are based on Darwinism! While they currently don’t advertise this fact to consumers, it is well known among the computer elite, who are mostly Atheists and Pagans. Furthermore, the Darwin OS is released under an “Open Source” license, which is just another name for Communism. They try to hide all of this under a facade of shiny, “lickable” buttons, but the truth has finally come out: Apple Computers promote Godless Darwinism and Communism.
But is this really such a shock? Lets look for a moment at Apple Computers. Founded by long haired hippies, this company has consistently supported 60’s counter-cultural “values” 2. But there are even darker undertones to this company than most are aware of. Consider the name of the company and its logo: an apple with a bite taken out of it. This is clearly a reference to the Fall, when Adam and Eve were tempted with an apple 3 by the serpent [the Bible just calls it ‘fruit,’ but this has become commonly known as an apple — what Adam and Eve were banned from the Garden of Eden for eating because they had eaten from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil – editor]. It is now Apple Computers offering us temptation, thereby aligning themselves with the forces of darkness 4.
This company is well known for its cult-like following. It isn’t much of a stretch to say that it is a cult. Consider co-founder and leader Steve Jobs’ constant exhortation through advertising (i.e. mind control) that its followers should “think different”. We have to ask ourselves: “think different from whom or what?” The disturbing answer is that they want us to think different than our Christian upbringing, to reject all the values that we have been taught and to heed not the message of the Lord Jesus Christ! …
ADDENDUM: It has been brought to my attention that the Darwin OS mentioned above now has a cartoon mascot (no doubt to influence children) named Hexley (pictured above) — a platypus dressed as a devil who performs occult magic, i.e. hexes. They’re not doing a very good job keeping their ties to the forces of darkness a secret, are they? …
ADDENDUM III (4/20/2002): Another reader (it has been busy today!) has informed me of another link between Apple and the forces of darkness that my initial research missed. Apparently the Darwin OS is not the original creation of Apple Computers but is instead based off of an older, obsolete OS called “BSD Unix”. The child-indoctrinatingly-cute cartoon mascot of this OS is a devil holding a pitchfork (pictured right). This OS — and its Darwin offspring — extensively use what are called “daemons” (which is how Pagans write “demon” — they are notoriously poor spellers: magick, vampyre, etc.) which is a program that hides in the background, doing things without the user’s notice.
ADDENDUM IV (4/21/2002): … According to one of our readers, the new MacOS X contains another Satanic holdover from the “BSD Unix” OS mentioned above; to open up certain locked files one has to run a program much like the DOS prompt in Microsoft Windows and type in a secret code: “chmod 666”. Deal With the Devil
Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak sold the first Macintosh computer [the Apple 1 – editor] they famously built in a garage for $666.66. Apple lore has it that Wozniak liked triple digits and Jobs tagged on an extra two sixes for marketing purposes. But some commenters have other ideas. They believe the devilish digits prove the duo made a pact with the man downstairs in exchange for earthly success. Capping off their evidence: the Apple logo. Is that a big juicy bite taken out of the forbidden fruit? Conspiracy theorists will always wonder.
More evidence and my thoughts, Feb. 2014:
“The first Apple logo was designed in 1976 by Ronald Wayne, sometimes referred to as the third co-founder of Apple. The logo depicts Isaac Newton sitting under a tree, an apple dangling precipitously above his head.” (source)
Apple’s first and the current logo are both related to obtaining knowledge. When the apple dropped on Isaac Newton’s head, the story goes that he then understood, obtained the KNOWLEDGE of how gravity worked. When Eve took a bite out of the forbidden-by-God—to-eat fruit, she gained KNOWLEDGE of good AND EVIL. Apple knew exactly what they were doing.
Now millions of Christians openly display this rebellious symbol, origin-of-sin theme everywhere they use their laptops.
Someone is laughing. We’ve been had. We should do a rethink, and make sure we really do “think different.” There are many great stickers out there that have Godly messages we could proclaim on our laptops instead.

2011 has been quite a year! I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January and my life has not stopped changing since.
As a researcher, educator, activist, and public speaker, I hope I can pass along some of what I’m learning to help others. I also want a space to note interesting things I find in the course of research cancer and other unrelated, esoteric things. Someday I would like to tie it all together into a book.
I’ve gained a lot of insight and courage from reading other women’s blogs as they deal with breast cancer. Blessings to all my sisters coping with this experience, and blessings to all others coping with cancer in any form.
