Just look how our illustrious Christian leaders are beginning to coalesce around the corrupt candidacy of John McCain (as if a McCain Presidency would be any better than a Democratic one).
Remember, it was Senator John McCain who single-handedly shut down the investigation and effort to bring home American POWs from Vietnam and surrounding countries. Why would a former POW do such a thing, unless, as reported by other Vietnam Vets who are in the know, it was to keep those POWs from coming home and testifying to McCain’s collaboration with his communist captors?
Remember, it is Senator John McCain who is committed to granting amnesty to tens of millions of illegal aliens. It is John McCain who has an F- grade from the Gun Owners of America for his miserable anti-Second Amendment voting record in the U.S. Senate. It is John McCain who was the ringleader of the infamous (not to mention unethical) Keating Five, who cost America taxpayers more than $160 billion.
As a longstanding member of the globalist Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), John McCain will most definitely support the march toward a North American Union, the NAFTA superhighway, and the creation of a North American currency, called the AMERO. He will also pursue George W. Bush’s neocon policy of empire building and preemptive war. As Pat Buchanan said, “John McCain will make Dick Cheney look like Gandhi.”

My comment #2 from Skousen: Anti-Depressants Suppress the Conscience Part of the Brain
I’ve considered another scenario as to why those who go off of antidepressants often commit suicide or commit violent acts, considering that some of the school shooters had just come off of the SSRI, anti-depressant drugs.
Given that anti-depressants dull the conscience, as Joel states, perhaps this could also diminish the person’s ability to feel some of the bothersome effects of certain demons that are affecting their mind and/or body. Which may be a major reason why people go on the drugs to begin with, to feel better—free—though, this doesn’t get rid of the root cause of feeling bad. The drug doesn’t bring real freedom.
Then when the person goes off of a feeling (& demon) suppressing drug, he/she can then feel the full effect, not just from the demons they originally had, but from those that have come in during the drug induced, conscience dulled state—which could have opened them up to live in ways that would allow many more demons in.
Then if they go off the drug, what they feel is so overwhelming that violence can often result.

As the media prepares to launch another blitz of gun control propaganda in the wake of the Northern Illinois University shootings, it’s no surprise to learn that killer Steven Kazmierczak had been taking psychotropic drugs and that the campus was a victim disarmament zone – the two major factors which always breed this kind of tragedy.
Columbine shooters Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, as well as 15-year-old Kip Kinkel, the Oregon killer who gunned down his parents and classmates, and Cho Seung Hui, the Virginia Tech killer, were all on psychotropic drugs. Scientific studies proving that prozac encourages suicidal tendencies and psychopathic behavior in young people are voluminous and span back nearly a decade.
Jeff Weise, the Red Lake High School killer was on prozac, “Unabomber” Ted Kaczinski, Michael McDermott, John Hinckley, Jr., Byran Uyesugi, Mark David Chapman and Charles Carl Roberts IV, the Amish school killer, were all on SSRI psychotropic drugs.
The press has tried to spin the fact that Kazmierczak was known to be on the same drugs by pushing the line that he was off his medication. Whether as a result of side-effects or during actual use, psychotropic drugs are admitted to increase psychopathic behavior in young people, read any bottle of prozac and you will see this fact freely admitted.
Gun free campus zones, as was the case again at Northern Illinois University, contribute only to ensuring victim disarmament and a friendly environment for the killer to conduct his rampage unopposed.
The media automatically blame the second amendment whenever a school shooting takes place, but when law-abiding people are allowed to own guns, the fatality toll is always reduced, as was the case at Virginia Appalachian School of Law, where Peter Odighizuwa shot three people dead before other students were able to retrieve guns from their cars and put an end to the carnage before there was more bloodshed.
85% of Americans support the right of a principle or a teacher to have instant access to a safely stored firearm in order to defend the lives of students and prevent a school massacre, but a drive is already underway to disarm more victims and grease the skids for more horrors similar to what unfolded on Thursday.

ANTI-DEPRESSANT DRUGS RAISE THE THREAT OF SUICIDE
Shankar Vedantam of the Washington Post writes, “Adults taking popular antidepressants such as Prozac, Paxil and Zoloft are more than twice as likely to attempt suicide as patients given sugar pills, according to an analysis released yesterday of hundreds of clinical trials involving tens of thousands of patients.” Previously there was a clear link only to teens and suicide, and only when withdrawing them from use of these drugs. What makes these new revelations so important is the breadth of the study: “The examination of 702 controlled clinical trials involving 87,650 patients is the most comprehensive look at the subject and is particularly telling because it counted suicide attempts and included patients treated for a variety of conditions, including sexual dysfunction, bulimia, panic disorder and depression.”
As I have reported before, having talked with problem teens that have used these drugs, anti-depressants suppress the portion of the mind that relays the warnings of conscience, allowing dark spiritual forces full sway to influence and depress. In my opinion, suicide is always accompanied by some form of Satanic depression. That’s what makes suicidal people so resistant to change, or resistant to accepting love and help from others.

Now there’s a question I hear a lot. It’s a funny question, almost like a Zen koan — if two identical snowflakes fell, my inquisitive friend, who would know? And can you ever be sure that no two are alike, since you cannot check them all to find out?
Although there is indeed a certain level of unknowability to the question of snowflake alikeness, as a physicist I find that I can address this issue with some confidence. As I will demonstrate, the answer depends to a large degree on what you mean by the question. (Yes, physics does occasionally have its Zen-like qualities.)
The short answer to the question is yes — it is indeed extremely unlikely that two complex snowflakes will look exactly alike. It’s so extremely unlikely, in fact, that even if you looked at every one ever made you would not find any exact duplicates.
The long answer is a bit more involved….

His recent book, “Anchorage: Life at the Edge of the Frontier” (YesAlaska Press, $34.95), offers 128 pages of color portraits of the city at its best: flowers, vistas, urban wildlife, elegant architecture, happy people, glorious sunshine flooding every nook. Several of the alluring shots feature Anchorage in winter.
In the introduction to the book, Mishler admits that one reader reaction he was hoping for was “Gee, I didn’t realize what a great place Anchorage is!”
Judging by the reported success of the book, people are reveling in seeing their hometown so attractively displayed and are eager to share it with non-Anchorage friends and contacts.
“Anchorage is not the perfect city,” Mishler writes. “(But) it is an exciting city in a beautiful setting, inhabited by some of the most diverse and gracious people anywhere.”

AN INDEPENDENT CHALLENGE WITHOUT RON PAUL?
One thing we have learned from the current primary campaign is just how manipulable the American voter is by a media onslaught for or against various candidates. The slick campaign to eliminate Romney from the campaign, using Huckabee as the spoiler, was very revealing. So was the extreme media bias against Ron Paul. There just aren’t enough thinking people among voters to amass any more support for a principled, Constitution-based platform than 5-10%. That doesn’t bode well for a third party or independent run. The mainstream media will deny any meaningful news coverage to third parties–unless it’s one of “their” third party spoilers like Ross Perot, who collaborated with the PTB in order to get the Clintons installed in the White House. Only in those cases do they get lots of coverage and are allowed into the debates.
Without substantive media attention, within our “winner-take-all” system, a third party/independent run for the presidency is not capable of winning the election outright–though it can act as a spoiler for one party or the other. However, as I just pointed out, the PTB get their way with either the Democrat or Republican–they just get it done in a different order and slightly different time frame.
In any case, no third party or independent candidacy is going anywhere unless all the disparate parties and forces agree on supporting a single candidate–and that person is Ron Paul. He is the only candidate capable of attracting partisans across the principled political spectrum of constitutional conservatives, independents and many anti-war Democrats as well. Almost all of the small third parties would be willing to join forces if Ron Paul were the standard bearer. Such a unified coalition has not been possible in the past hundred years. Only Ron Paul is capable of engendering the necessary trust to put together this large a coalition. He says this movement is not about him, but it is, in one significant way: A proper ideology is absolutely essential, but it has to have a human being to be its champion and get elected to office. Ideas don’t get elected on their own without a person the people can rally around. No one else has the elected track record of Ron Paul. No one else has his absolute reputation for trust.
The only problem is that Paul has announced that he will not run as a third party or independent candidate–that he is staying loyal to the Republican party.

Underreporting Ron Paul
Several readers have brought to my attention a very interesting National Public Radio interview with Tom Rosenstiel of the Project for Excellence in Journalism. A caller to the program, Andrew, asked Rosenstiel a question about coverage of Ron Paul and the power of the press to decide which candidates are “viable.” This is what Rosenstiel had to say:
It raises obviously one of the fundamental questions: is press coverage a self-fulfilling prophecy? Can a candidate who doesn’t get press coverage win votes, or do you need the exposure, the oxygen of attention? Last week, the week before Super Tuesday, the coverage that ended Feb. 3, Ron Paul was a significant or primary figure in zero percent of the stories that we analyzed, 600 stories across 48 different news outlets.
Andrew is correct in suggesting that the press has discounted the chances of Ron Paul having any success. The fundraising success that he’s having is one of the traditional metrics that journalists use to test viability. If someone is raising money, usually that translates into some attention.
For a variety of reasons, some of them are obvious and some of them are mysterious, Ron Paul gets less coverage than he does raise money, and he gets less coverage than he gets votes. We can go on and on about this. There is no doubt, it’s an objective fact, that the press has decided Ron Paul is not a viable candidate.
You can hear the interview for yourself at NPR’s site. Andrew’s question and Rosenstiel’s response occur about five minutes in.
The media news isn’t all so daunting. We’ve been working hard, particularly with local media, to get Dr. Paul’s name out. Our media presence increased over the last three months: in November, we had 2638 broadcast media mentions of Ron Paul; about 2768 hits in December; and 6291 in January, at the height of the primary season. Our print media exposure also increased from December to January, from 2400 hits to 4425 hits. These hits don’t necessarily cover everything, but they’re reflective of trends.
So, we’re fighting back, but as Rosenstiel’s remarks show, we’re up against national media that have already made up their minds about Ron Paul and have decided not to cover him to the extent that his fundraising and his following merit.
(And ideas should count for something too, right? Unfortunately, as the endless hours of TV coverage dedicated to celebrities, celebrity overdoses, and hearings about steroids in baseball indicate, serious issues like the war in Iraq, the declining dollar and tumbling economy, and the growth of ever more intrusive government are just not on the agenda of many “news” sources.)

Amidst a certain amount of resentment amongst some Ron Paul supporters that the Texan has decided to scale back his presidential campaign in order to secure his Congressional seat, the real progress that has been made over the last 12 months has been highlighted by an unlikely source.
Newsmax, which is largely a Neo-Con news outfit, admits in its new print magazine issue that Ron Paul may have “changed the GOP forever,” conceding that he is “sparking an incredible movement of libertarian conservatives in the Republican Party.”
Compare the relatively cool reception [see comment #4, below] Ron Paul gets from the 6000 students at this so-called ‘Christian’ University with the consistently tremendous cheers at the secular, University of Minnesota: Ron Paul Greatest Speech? Before 4000 at U of MN, 2/4/08.
And why did Paul, the champion for liberty, get 15% in Minnesota and only low, single digits in the so-called ‘Bible’ belt? What’s going on?
What if Jesus spoke at Liberty University—a typical reverse-Christian institution where they teach that their version of liberty should be imposed on others by force? I wonder what kind of response Jesus would get if he’d preach the Sermon on the Mount at Liberty U.

In this very auditorium, Northrup, I saw two significant events as a student at the University of Minnesota, before moving to Alaska in 1980, following the “Carefree Highway”:
- Gordon Lightfoot, who meant so much to me as I sought answers to what plagued America
- And amazing hate off the charts as creationist, Duane Gish debated a U of M professor on creationism verses evolution. I walked away perplexed, because to me, it was a no-contest win by Gish. From my perspective, all the U of M professor could do was get really angry while trying to keep face, unable to refute even one of Gish’s long list of facts. But then I saw that not all of the students were so convinced. Didn’t they hear what Duane Gish had to say?
Well, these 4000 students, etc. got to see Ron Paul, and amazingly, everyone seems to be on the same page!!!
