Bruce Willis’ Die-Hard Mask Stance Bites Him With A Vengeance
After being booted from a Los Angeles Rite Aid for not wearing a mask, and widely mocked on social media, Bruce Willis apologized Tuesday.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Actor Bruce Willis apologized Tuesday for refusing to wear a mask at a Rite Aid store in Los Angeles despite the city’s mask mandate.
The die-hard mask stance got the “Die Hard” star booted from the pharmacy Sunday. While shopping at the pharmacy, Willis refused to wear a mask or pull the bandana around his neck over his nose and mouth, Page Six reported. A photo from the kerchief kerfuffle was circulated on social media and widely scorned in Los Angeles, where more than 200 people are dying daily from the coronavirus.

Let Them Play MN Survey: 14 Kids Collapsed Wearing Masks During Winter Sports Practice

Most of these sports are requiring athletes to wear masks during game play and practices. Not all students and parents are too thrilled about this requirement. In a survey put out Jan. 4 – 11 by Let Them Play MN, over 2,500 Minnesotans reported their child or they themselves experienced dizziness and shortness of breath while playing with a mask. The survey also found 14 kids collapsed and 11 needed emergency care. …
In the survey results, students, coaches and parents could leave anonymous comments. One student shared, “Very difficult to breath and I personally feel claustrophobic and have some panic breathing/shortness of breath.”
A Minnesota coach posted in the survey, “As a coach I see daily how much these kids are struggling … wearing a mask while doing a full-out run through or during competition [a time period of about 5 minutes] I feel it is extremely dangerous and the risks of wearing the masks outweigh the benefits.”
Maple Grove basketball player Kylie Baranick has been training with her mask on to be ready for their first game of the season on Thursday against Totino-Grace High School.
“It’s been a big factor, but these past two weeks we’ve been practices, we’ve been conditioning with them on and it’s getting easier each day,” Baranick said.

Trust in traditional media has declined to an all-time low, and many news professionals are determined to do something about it.
Why it matters: Faith in society’s central institutions, especially in government and the media, is the glue that holds society together. That glue was visibly dissolving a decade ago, and has now, for many millions of Americans, disappeared entirely.
By the numbers: For the first time ever, fewer than half of all Americans have trust in traditional media, according to data from Edelman’s annual trust barometer shared exclusively with Axios. Trust in social media has hit an all-time low of 27%.
56% of Americans agree with the statement that “Journalists and reporters are purposely trying to mislead people by saying things they know are false or gross exaggerations.”
58% think that “most news organizations are more concerned with supporting an ideology or political position than with informing the public.”
When Edelman re-polled Americans after the election, the figures had deteriorated even further, with 57% of Democrats trusting the media and only 18% of Republicans.

A recent study has shown that biological males identifying as transgender women, still retained considerable advantages over biological females in strength and muscle mass, even after a full year of hormone therapy.
The study, conducted by the the Karolinska Institute — a medical university in Sweden — and Linkoping University, a university in Sweden, showed that the biological males (transgender women) who took a full year of hormone therapy, still had muscle mass and strength advantages.
The researchers posted their conclusion: “Despite the robust increases in muscle mass and strength in TM, the TW were still stronger and had more muscle mass following 12months of treatment. These findings add new knowledge that could be relevant when evaluating transwomen’s eligibility to compete in the women’s category of athletic competitions.”

Nearly 50% of U.S. voters believe that public health officials have been misleading when providing data on the coronavirus pandemic, a recent Just the News Daily poll shows. According to the poll, forty-eight percent of voters believe public health leaders have “misrepresented the data” to build support for certain policies while 34% of respondents say officials “reported the true facts” on the pandemic.
The remaining 18% were unsure one way or the other.

I think this is why people spend so much time going outside of themselves, instead of dealing with things that are going on inside.
People’s experiences differ greatly so they see the same things differently.

Many have done complete 180s in this last year, standing now for what they recently spoke out against. Many are now applauding authoritarianism, making appeal-to-authority arguments, which relies on faith in authority figures instead of facts.
The golden rule is being thrown out of the window as people try to force their authoritarian rules and policies on others, calling people names who don’t go along.
