Prosecutor: Delta Employees Smuggled Guns Onto Planes ‘for Years’
Dec. 24, 2014
A plot by at least two current and former Delta Air Lines workers to smuggle guns onboard flights traveling between Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and New York City’s John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia International airports was an “egregious breach” of American air traffic security, Brooklyn District Attorney Kenneth Thompson said Tuesday.
Former Delta employee Mark Henry, 45, who was fired in 2010 for abusing the airline’s buddy pass system, received the guns from 31-year-old Eugene Harvey, a Delta luggage handler in Atlanta who has since been fired as a result of the investigation. According to a statement from the Brooklyn district attorney, once Henry cleared security, Henry met up with Harvey inside the airport and the two allegedly exchanged the guns for cash. …
Thompson said investigators believe Henry had been smuggling guns onto planes for at least five years while using employee companion passes and allegedly transferred 16 weapons — including four 9 mm pistols, a .380-caliber pistol and ammunition and magazines — on Dec. 10 alone. …
The Brooklyn district attorney estimated that between May 2014 and December 2014, Henry took guns on about 20 commercial airliner flights between the two cities, but wasn’t discovered until Dec. 10.

It really is a desecration of Charlton Heston. But a ‘Christian’ said how much she likes Jim Carrey, and wasn’t even phased after I showed her this video, so I decided to address this subject more. Those of you who are ‘Christians’ and think guns are evil should realize that Jesus told his disciples to buy swords, which at least two of them did carry. Total pacifism is not Christian (neither is warmongering, the other extreme). Also, the 2nd Amendment isn’t about hunting. It’s about protecting the United States from becoming a tyranny, like what happened in England. Without the 2nd Amendment, we would probably already be fully in the NWO, with Satan in charge.

Hummingbirds. Even though they are the smallest birds on earth, and the smallest of all warm-blooded creatures, they can still fly over 30 MPH, fly backward, and at birth, weigh less than a post-it note!
These amazing creatures flap their wings up to 80 times a SECOND, allowing them to hover over flowers filled with nectar.
They are able to determine sugar content, and only consume nectar that is at least 10% sugar. Less than that could not sustain their super-fast metabolism, with their heartbeat of around 1200 times a minute!
With this in mind, hummingbirds typically would not be able to survive a long cold night. HOWEVER, they “happen” to have a built-in mechanism called “Torpor” that goes into effect as they sleep, shutting down their metabolism to 1/15th the normal rate. It effectively slows down their heart rate from around 1,200 beats per minute… to 35 beats per minute.
Did this tiny creature evolve by chance? Or was he intricately designed and formed with purpose? Such beauty is often overlooked in today’s society, but if we only stop to consider the intricate details of a hummingbird, we can appreciate God’s infinite “wonders without number”.

Rand Paul: Republicans Are “Too Eager for War”

It was only a year ago that Paul described the Republican Party as overly enthusiastic for war. During a little-noticed interview with the Christian Broadcast Network, Paul remarked, “Part of Republicans’ problems—and frankly, to tell you the truth, some in the evangelical Christian movement—I think [they] have appeared too eager for war.” This was a stark assessment of his own party.
Paul went further, noting that these Republicans and evangelicals were not in sync with Jesus:
When people come to me and they’re lobbying for ratcheting up some sort of bellicose policy towards one country, even if it’s a bad country, I tell them that and when I read the New Testament, that when I read about Jesus, I don’t see him involved, he wasn’t really involved with the wars of his days. And, in fact, people rebuked him for not being [what] they wanted. They wanted somebody to stand up to the Romans. He stood up in a different sort of way, but he didn’t organize coalitions and guerrilla bands and arm them. Now I’m not saying that you shouldn’t have people who want to defend against evil, bad forces around the world, but I think you need to remember that he was the prince of peace, you know, we’re talking about “blessed are the peacemakers,” not “blessed are the war-makers.”

An amendment to a Senate bill in Illinois has been overwhelmingly passed to ensure that recording police officers and government officials is now a felony.
The Amendment to Senate Bill 1342 was stealthily introduced on the back of an unrelated piece of legislation last week. It essentially reestablishes a completely unconstitutional eavesdropping law that was previously overturned by The Supreme Court in March for being too draconian.
The amendment has stripped away safeguards to free speech rights from the original legislation and instituted a blanket ban on recording officials in public. It was passed by both the Illinois House and the Senate, with huge majorities, within two days of its introduction.
A post at watchdog website IllinoisPolicy.org notes that the bill is designed to prevent people from documenting interactions with cops on their cell phones by making it a class 3 felony to “eavesdrop” on city and state officials including police officers, police, an attorney general, an assistant attorney general, a state’s attorney, an assistant state’s attorney or a judge.
The new amendment legislates its way around the ‘reasonable expectation of privacy’ standard in law by refraining from defining it, and merely states that recording any “oral communication between 2 or more persons” is now illegal.
A class 3 felony is punishable by a prison sentence of two to four years. The bill also outlines that it is now a class 4 felony to record a private citizen in such circumstances. The crime is punishable by one to three years in prison.
The vaguely worded legislation states:
(a) Eavesdropping, for a first offense, is a Class 4 felony (from Ch. 38, par. 14-4) and, for a second or subsequent offense, is a Class 3 felony.
(b) The eavesdropping of an oral conversation or an electronic communication of any
law enforcement officer, State’s Attorney, Assistant State’s Attorney, the Attorney General, Assistant Attorney General, or a judge, while in the performance of his or her official duties, if not authorized by this Article or proper court order, is a Class 3 felony, and for a second or subsequent offenses, is a Class 2 felony
Jacob Huebert, Senior Attorney at Liberty Justice Center, notes “There’s only one apparent reason for imposing a higher penalty on people who record police in particular: to make people especially afraid to record police.”
Huebert also notes that the legislation could impact the widely proposed move to implement body cameras for all police officers
“Police may argue that using body cameras to record encounters with citizens outside of “public” places would violate the law, as citizens have not consented to being recorded.” he writes.

Good guys do not sadistically torture people. Good guys do not threaten to sexually abuse the family members of their prisoners, and they certainly do not forcibly ram things up the rear ends of those in their custody. One of the greatest dangers that our country is facing is the fact that we are not passing on what it means to be “American” to future generations. Once upon a time, Americans were the good guys. But now, instead of fighting the Nazis we are behaving just like them. The details of the Senate torture report that was just released are almost too horrifying to talk about. We must talk about them though, because we are losing our soul as a nation. So please be warned – this article is going to be quite graphic. The reason for this is so that we can all take a long, hard, honest look at what we have become. After everything that has happened, top politicians from both political parties are still standing up and defending those that conducted and authorized this torture. The rest of the world is watching this, and the number of people that are absolutely convinced that America is pure evil is growing by the day. By not loudly condemning this torture and bringing the perpetrators to justice, we add fuel to the fire of those that hate this country, and we make it more likely that Americans will be targets of violence all over the planet. …
When I was growing up, I was taught that Americans never torture their prisoners. That was something that the Russians, the Nazis, the Chinese and the North Koreans did. We were the “good guys”, and so I was taught that we always treated our prisoners humanely.
Oh how things have changed.

Bush Officials Step Up To Blast Torture Report Before It’s Out
The 500-page summary of the report, set to be released Tuesday, is understood to suggest that the CIA’s use of techniques like waterboarding did not produce significant intelligence and that CIA officers misled those responsible for the program’s oversight, including higher-level agency officials, the White House and Congress.
Speaking to The New York Times on Monday, former Vice President Dick Cheney, a fierce defender of the government’s use of torture, said that the idea that the CIA misled the White House “is just a crock.” …
CIA officers “are patriots, and whatever the report says, if it diminishes their contributions to our country, it is way off base,” George W. Bush said Sunday in an interview on CNN.
