BILDERBERG GROUP—WHAT ARE THEY REALLY UP TO?
The annual Bilderberg meeting is going on this weekend at a secluded resort in Austria. Thanks to the efforts of anti-globalists to protest and report on these super-secret conventions, public distrust is growing against the globalist elite and their collusion with governments and the media. While the annual meeting used to be a total secret, they now put out a partial list of attendees and a partial agenda—but their most sensitive members and private discussions are still secret. What the Bilderberg meeting is not, is as important as what it is. It is not the meeting of the top globalist leaders in the world. Rather, it is more like an international convention of globalists where a few of the very top leaders meet with both old regular members as well as new up and coming globalists who are being vetted as to their receptivity to the globalist agenda. Some in attendance are told of the next crucial moves in advance of a New World Order without any effective national sovereignty.
As typical of most conventions, there will be a lot of formal presentations given in general sessions. The list of topics are: Artificial Intelligence (presented by Google’s DeepMind division—of interest to globalists for various aspects of people control), Cybersecurity, Chemical Weapons Threats, Current Economic Issues, European Strategy (for EU treaty changes), How to keep Greece in the EU despite default, How to keep Britain in the EU, Globalization goals and progress (Trans Pacific Partnership and Transatlantic partnerships as stepping stones to globalism), Iran (use of the nuclear deal to eventually condemn Iran and justify an attack), NATO problems, Russia (how to manage Russian aggressiveness without stopping it), and finally US Elections (how to promote their favored globalist candidates).
These all contain controversial aspects and there will undoubtedly be smaller sessions for key globalist implementers where detailed conspiratorial strategies will be discussed. For this and other reasons, the group requires extreme security measures to keep out the prying eyes and ears of anti-globalist journalists who would love to infiltrate and listen in. This is why the meetings are being held at remote luxury resorts rather than city locations. Austrian police have set up military-style check points on all roads and trails leading to the small mountain community of Telfs-Buchen. All regular guests have been required to leave so that there will be no witnesses to the secret members who attend who are not on the public list.
Alex Jones’ Infowars.com crew is always there to document the constant harassment of the press, and there was plenty to see and hear. In this link, editor at large, Paul Joseph Watson writes about the UK Guardian reporter badgered by Austrian police deep into the night. They were probably told to target the Guardian for that paper’s role in publishing the Edward Snowden revelations. Watson concludes correctly,
While journalists at the G7 meeting were pampered, given goodie bags, free food halls and relaxation rooms, reporters at Bilderberg 2015 in Austria have been under constant surveillance and harassment.
Let’s look at who’s who at Bilderberg. Do not make the mistake that all the biggest globalists attend. They do not. Zbigniew Brzezinsky, a Polish born globalist on par with Henry Kissinger isn’t on the list. Every year the biggest controllers meet at some other location months prior to plan the secret agenda for Bilderberg and determine the list of attendees, including those that will be public and those to remain secret. Bilderberg is only a small part of the dozens of globalist organizations that have been created to make sure that they will survive even if one or two organizations are exposed. To name just a few:
The Trilateral Commission, Council on Foreign Relations (with a EU branch in Berlin and its sister organ in the UK—the Royal Institute of International Affairs), Club of Rome, Committee of 300, the Bohemian Grove, and the Aspen Institute. There are also historic links that go back to various Masonic Orders, and to the Vatican—both still strong in Europe.
Besides a host of government leaders, attendees in 2015 include the founders and CEOs of major internet corporations like Amazon, Facebook and Google, major petroleum companies like BP, and Shell and almost every multinational financial institution. Here’s a link to the public list of attendees, which is by no means complete.
The roster is limited to about 140 participants but I estimate the real list is almost double that—because so many require that their names be kept secret so the public will not know of their globalist allegiance. Below is my summary of some of the more important names, grouped into various classes so you can more easily see how they fit into the globalist control agenda. I have also added additional information about certain key people, to show you who high business and government circles also have a secret role in the globalist conspiracy:

Media: In the past major US news media have attended, as attested to by a remark made by David Rockefeller: “We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years … It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries.” – 1991 at Bilderberg.
So, obviously the following attending media, being collaborators with globalists were not harassed, but neither were they there to report. US media failed to show up to cover the event and were conspicuously absent from the public list of attendees unlike prior years. They are obviously embarrassed by exposure to the above Rockefeller leak.

Investigative journalist and author of “The True Story of the Bilderberg Group,” Daniel Estulin, talked about the Biderberg Group this week on Coast to Coast AM. He said that this year’s meeting hosted a particularly powerful roster of individuals, along with higher levels of security surrounding the conference. Globalist groups like Bilderberg and CFR seek to consolidate power under a central government, he said.
Estulin goes off the deep end a bit by predicting that technological advances will soon transform the very nature of humanity itself. He claims that the children alive now are surely the last generation of 100% humans, and that “their children are going to be transhuman, post-human, nano-machines, and cyborgs,” —the result of the amazing revolution in synthetic biology, which is advancing exponentially. Such technologies will be used by elite groups like the Bilderbergs, he says, to control humanity.
My opinion: The globalists may be trying to hijack technology to change humanity, but these atheists don’t understand that God has certain limits on how much He allows evil to mess with planet earth as a testing place for humanity.
David Rockefeller (100 yrs old) is still one of the top globalist leaders in the world, though he doesn’t travel anymore. Ron Mann, head of special projects in the White House under the Reagan administration related to me a telling story about the power of David Rockefeller:
Mann had been tasked to organize an economic conference at the White House during the Reagan presidency. It was by invitation only. Before it started David Rockefeller walked in even though he was not invited. He sat down by Robert McNamara, the head of the World Bank and began to talk. Ron approached him and politely told him that the meeting was by invitation only and that that seat was taken, but Rockefeller ignored him. He overheard Rockefeller tell McNamara, “Now remember, Bob, don’t commit to anything more or less than what I told you.”
So, here you have a man who can walk into the White House uninvited and give orders to the head of the World Bank. That speaks volumes about being “above the law, and government.”
In his autobiography, Memoirs, David Rockefeller belittled and made fun of conspiracy believers:
If the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) raises the hackles of the conspiracy theorists, the Bilderberg meetings must induce apocalyptic visions of omnipotent international bankers plotting with unscrupulous government officials to impose cunning schemes on an ignorant and unsuspecting world.
He obviously knew about his reputation as a globalist conspirator so he ends the discussion depicting globalism as a virtue and admitted to being a proud adherent:
Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.
Henry Kissinger has long been the most public champion of globalist policy and has been directly manipulating US foreign policy for these ends even beyond his term as National Security Advisor to Pres. Nixon. In the 1992 Bilderberg Meeting at Evians, France, he is reported to have promoted the theory of how crises can be used to overturn people’s reluctance to accept external control,
Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government.
But the most telling conspiratorial evidence concerning Kissinger comes from James Jones, Obama’s first National Security Adviser (foreign policy handler) in 2009 at the Munich Security Conference, which has just given Kissinger an international award.
Thank you for that wonderful tribute to Henry Kissinger yesterday. Congratulations. As the most recent National Security Advisor of the United States, I take my daily orders from Dr. Kissinger, filtered down through General Brent Scowcroft and Sandy Berger, who is also here. We have a chain of command in the National Security Council that exists today.
Now that’s proof of conspiracy. That’s not a legal chain of command. Henry Kissinger, no longer in the employ of the US government and had no legal authority to give daily orders to the National Security Council which directs the President on US foreign policy. That’s evidence of external control of our government by globalist powers. This quotation is still on the CFR website today at the above link. Why hasn’t it been purged? Apparently they no longer fear that an informed public can stop this agenda, knowing that the compliant media won’t ever make this quotation an issue. They have dutifully never mentioned Jones’ remark to the public.
Kissinger is almost always present—and little wonder—he is the most visible of the political grand masters that manipulate governments around the world. He was largely responsible for the sellout of South Vietnam at the Paris Peace Talks, the giving away of advanced missile technology to Russia during the Nixon administration and the betrayal of Free China to Red China at the UN—not just replacing them, but giving them a seat on the Security Council with veto power.
After leaving the National Security Agency, where he served as the handler for President Nixon (who was kept semi-incapacitated much of the time with mood-altering medication–Robert Dallek’s “Nixon and Kissinger”), he formed Kissinger and Associates where he continued to ply his globalist trade worldwide. For example, he was the first visitor on the calendar for newly minted Spanish President Jose Maria Aznar in 1996.
Aznar admitted in an interview with Inaki Gabilondo that Kissinger, who didn’t speak Spanish and knew little about Spain, was “explaining to me ‘how the world worked.’” —Meaning who was really in charge and what he had to do to stay in compliance with the global Powers That Be (PTB). Aznar played his role obediently and was rewarded after leaving politics with a directorship of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp—even though he had zero background in running a news organization.
Other regular attendees, and some are not on the official list, are Barack Obama, Prince Charles, Bill Gates, Eric Schmidt, Rupert Murdoch, Tony Blair, Bill and Hillary Clinton, George HW Bush Sr. and son George W. Bush. Jeb Bush is believed to have been there secretly this week, but has denied that he is stopping in for the Bilderberg meeting. But who would know if he did? Security is tighter than a war zone and some of the secretive attendees arrive in darkened limos or even helicopters.
Finally, let me comment on the controversial origins of Bilderberg. Michael Snyder published his version of the origins of this globalist threat to humanity on his blog. He is generally on target but I will explain where I differ with his analysis of the Nazi connection:
When you want to discover what an organization is really all about, it is important to dig down to the roots. And when you uncover the roots of the Bilderberg Group, you find some very unsettling things. It turns out that the Bilderberg Group has had Nazi connections from the very beginning, and it continues to advance the agenda of the Nazis to this very day.
In reality, the globalist conspiracy was in operation decades before Hitler and his National Socialists came to power in Germany. It didn’t rise from the ashes of Nazism, and globalists are not Nazis per se. Globalists created WWI and controlled the Treaty of Versailles with its impossible reparations payments in gold Reichsmarks. Their goal was a New World order called the League of Nations, which failed. But onerous reparations would guarantee yet another war by crushing Germany’s economy and forcing them to attack the West yet again. Wall Street advisors to the German finance ministry convinced them to inflate their currency to pay off the reparations in paper money, which ended in hyperinflation and financial collapse. In the end, it made most Germans hostile to free markets which were not really to the blame. That, in turn, gave rise to the twin evils of social engineering: socialism and communism, and Hitler would play off of the fear of the more radical communists to bring National Socialism to victory.
During World War II, the Nazi effort to unite all of Europe (and ultimately the rest of the world) through war failed miserably. When the war ended, those that believed in that dream decided that another approach would be necessary.
The destruction of Germany and the Nazis in WWII was planned, not compensated for because the globalist were working through Nazism. The globalists supporting Nazism were not Nazis—just using it to tear down certain powerful German institutions that were resistant to globalist control before the war. Globalists believe in using conflict to create change, and the key aspect of WWII was the justification for the globalists to build up an even worse enemy than Hitler—Soviet communism—which would drive Western foreign policy for the next period of conflict. Peace and diplomacy would be the deception foisted upon the West to justify permissiveness of the new Soviet threat.
The idea for the common currency that the European Union uses today, the euro, was conceived and developed by the Bilderberg Group [true]. This organization has always been at the forefront of European unity, but most people have no idea where it came from [true].
Well, the truth is that the Bilderberg Group first met in 1954, and one of the key founders of the group was Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands. [Actually, he wasn’t a key formulator or founder, but the front man who the globalists could use to disarm public opinion, which was opposed to global governance.] Not only was he a founder, Prince Bernhard actually served as the organization’s chairman until 1976 [a figurehead only]. So why is this important? Most people do not realize this, but Prince Bernhard actually belonged to the Nazi Party at one time. The following is an excerpt from an article that appeared in the Telegraph…
“Bernhard, a secret history” has revealed that the prince was a member of the German Nazi party until 1934, three years before he married Princess Juliana, the future queen of the Netherlands… He left all the groups on leaving university in December 1934, when he went to work for the German chemical giant, IG Farben.
What these writers are not allowing for is that liberals like Bernhard are often attracted early on in life to socialist promises but then get converted over to the greater power of the globalists. Barak Obama is a perfect example. He was an ideological Marxist in his formative years but switched to a globalist puppet when they promised him wealth and a seat in the US Senate. Conservatives have been fed a long line of propaganda by the likes of Dinesh D’Souza (Film: “Obama’s America”) about having a Marxist/Muslim president and that all conservative troubles will be over once he is out of office. Not true. He’s controlled by others and so will the next president, even if Republican.
And Prince Bernhard’s association with IG Farben also links him to the Nazis. [Not really. IG Farben was supported before the war by Wall Street globalists, who were investing in all aspects of the Nazi war machine (see Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler, by Sutton). This was globalism building an enemy which they would eventually defeat, giving rise to yet larger enemies—the Russians and Chinese communists.]
John Foster Dulles was instrumental in helping the Bilderberg Group get established. His brother, Allen Dulles, was responsible for Operation Paperclip which enabled large numbers of Nazi scientists (among others) to come into the United States and start working for the U.S. government in various capacities. [Not because the Dulles brothers were a bunch of Nazi sympathizers, but rather because they were trying to harness the advanced technology and evil means of controlling people that the Nazis had developed.]
The “godfather” of the Bilderberg Group is a former U.S. Secretary of State named Henry Kissinger. He has attended the gathering almost every single year, and he will be there once again in 2015. This is a man that is so committed to globalization that he even wrote a book entitled “World Order“
Of course nobody associated with the Bilderberg Group would ever use the word “Nazi” to describe themselves. That term has become so associated with evil that nobody wants anything to do with it. But the values and the principles of the Nazis endure in organizations such as the Bilderberg Group. The ultimate goal, of course, is a one world government that dominates the entire planet.
Only the last sentence is completely correct. The globalists have never viewed themselves as Nazis or Communists but rather use these more virulent forms of control as agents for change by creating wars and conflict. The globalists view their brand of mixed capitalism as more sophisticated than strong-arm tactics and more capable of achieving control without engendering the opposition that blatant tyranny does. Throughout modern history Illuminati bankers have used “sexual liberation” to subvert society and establish their subtle tyranny. As Masonic revolutionary Guiseppe Mazzini said, “we corrupt in order to rule.”
The Illuminati bankers need to introduce “world government” to translate their unjust monopoly over credit into total world control.
They realized that they couldn’t take control until they destroyed the family. This was a central plank of the Communist Manifesto in 1848.
Every major “revolution” in modern history has increased Illuminati banker control and the sexual revolution is no exception.
The bankers have encouraged sexual dissipation using their various “progressive” fronts: liberalism, feminism, socialism and communism.
The great appeal of left wing movements has always been the lure of “free” sex (i.e. free of the restraints of love & marriage.)
How is free sex subversive?
A healthy society is concerned with its survival and the propagation of its values. This requires that new generations are born and raised in a healthy manner, i.e. in a nuclear family. In a healthy society, women are honored for nurturing and educating the young, a role for which they are naturally suited.
Thus, the bankers set out to undermine and disparage women’s role as wives and mothers.
They extolled “sexual liberation” because promiscuous women are less dedicated to family, and less attractive and suitable as wives and mothers. Furthermore, if sex is freely available, men have much less incentive to marry or be faithful .
Women were brainwashed to think they were being “exploited” by their family and should seek fulfillment in career instead.
The bankers used paid subversives like Betty Frieden and Gloria Steinem and the mass media to make it seem that Feminism was a spontaneous occurrence.
At the same time, they severed sex from marriage and procreation and exalted romance as the main source of fulfillment. Hollywood practically has angels singing hosannas when the stars have sex. It created this bogus religion.

Modern women are the victim of a monstrous hoax perpetrated by the Illuminati bankers and their lackeys in media, government and education.
Women have been defrauded of a secure and essential social role, that of wife and mother. In exchange they have accepted the role of sex objects and worker drones.

I just watched John B. Wells’ 2/6/15 Caravan to Midnight interview with Ted Broer, who suggested we watch a segment of the History Channel’s Brad Meltzer’s Decoded “Spear of Destiny” program [I’m assuming the video below is the segment Ted suggested], because it talks about how a group of globalists, the Talmudic, antichrist Jews (not mentioned by name), are planning on inaugurating and introducing the Antichrist from the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. Broer also recently interviewed Texe Marrs on The Power Hour, 1/6/15, where they talked about what’s really going on with these Jews who are still against Christ.
Real-historian James Perloff mentioned this same scenario as the goal of the Jews in his also excellent CTM interview with John B. Wells on 1/26/15. So I thought I’d check this out.
I have some posts linked below which show that many rabbis are devoted to the Babylonian Talmud and the Kabbalah and not so much the Torah. Jesus warned of the yeast/leaven of the Pharisees of His day, who were also devoted to these occultic Babylonian teachings. Today’s pastors mostly don’t follow in Jesus’ tradition in warning the people.
Here, Meltzer talks with a former bodyguard whose former boss was said to have stolen the supposed spear that pierced Jesus’ side from Hitler.
So when we hear about the plans of the Jews to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem, this will an abomination. The veil in the temple was rent when Jesus died on the cross, because Jesus is the Messiah whom most of the Jews rejected. Jesus was sacrificed once and for all to make atonement for our sins. He is the one to be worshiped and followed.
The antichrist will masquerade as the messiah, but there is only one Messiah.

In the aftermath of Israel’s blitz of Lebanon (summer, 2006), banners were lifted by pro-Hezbollah youth to the TV media. They labeled Lebanese wreckage as: “Made in America.”
It’s true: Israel’s F-16s, cluster bombs, and arms were supplied by America. But the intention to use them was created deep in the heart of Talmudic Judaism—in the semi-secret “Kabbalah.”What is Kabbalah? Today, “Kabbalah” makes most think of popstars like Madonna or Britney Spears who dabble in the occult. Actually, Kabbalah has no real relevance to Gentiles. It is an occult theology and practice centering around the superiority of Jews and their predestined purpose to dominate society.
While conservatives focus on the dark side of Islam, they take it for granted that Judaism is a benign religion of peace and tolerance. But if we are brave enough to take a closer look, we find a very, very different reality. Deep in the heart of Judaism’s sacred texts lie a set of twisted and chilling beliefs.
In the Old Testament, God is a conscious moral being. He has perfect knowledge of right and wrong, and He judges us according to our free moral choices.Yet when the Jews were carried to distant Babylon in 587 BC by Nebuchadnezzar, they found a very different god. They discovered the pantheistic god of the east—a world force who is “great” not because he loves or is good, but because of his pervasive power everywhere.
The ancient Pharisees liked this “god” because he didn’t disapprove of their perversion of Jehovah’s laws. The Pharisees of Babylon created an elaborate secret theology for the Jews called “Kabbalah.”
Eminent Christian-Jewish historian Alfred Eidersheim comments, “It is undeniable that already at the time of Jesus Christ, there existed an assemblage of doctrines and speculations that were carefully concealed from the multitude. They were not even revealed to ordinary scholars…This kind bore the name of Kabbala…” 1
In Kabbalist theology, “God,” called the “En Sof,” is beyond rational description. He consists of the most exalted, rarified light. As his wavelengths descend, they manifest themselves, according to Jewish Kabbalists, as a most wonderful phenomenon: the Jewish people. Jews, being semi-divine, are the rational, physical manifestations of God’s presence in the universe. They are as indispensable to the existence of the universe as a proton is to an atom.
Evil Gentiles
Unfortunately, the wavelengths of God continue to descend, becoming so degenerate that they produce demons and—most troubling to Israel— satanic creatures called “Kliphoth,” or Gentiles. The rabbinic treatise, “Sepher Or Israel, 117,” recommends: “Take the life of the Klipoth and kill them, and you will please God the same as one who offers incense to Him.” 2
The Zohar, meaning “brightness” or “light,” is the five-volume repository of Kabbalistic lore and mystic speculation. It explains, “… ‘living soul’ refers to Israel who have holy, living souls from above, and ‘cattle’ and ‘creeping thing’ and ‘beast of the earth’ to the other peoples who are not ‘living soul.’…” 3
According to the Zohar, the great tragedy of this world is that the Kliphoth or Gentiles perpetually unsettle the higher levels with their evil imbalance. As long as the Kliphoth continue to exist in their present state of discord, God and His universe will be disordered as well.
In this concept we find a rationale for the Kabbalists’ hatred of Gentiles. Christ said, “The time cometh that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.” (John 16:2) The Kabbalist (epitomized today by the Ultra-Orthodox ‘Haredim’ settlers in Israel) sees the extermination of the Gentile as a necessary process toward restoring order in the universe. He teaches that the Gentile (Palestinian) is a form of demon who should be treated with no more genuine benevolence than one would treat Satan himself.
Gentiles, whom the Zohar describes as “Amalekites,” have an intrinsic tendency to disorder the world, causing it to revert to its primordial state of chaos (tohu) and emptiness (bohu).
“All of these [Gentiles] tend to bring the world back to the state of tohu and bohu, and they caused the destruction of the temple. But as “tohu” and “bohu” gave place to the light, so, when God reveals Himself, they will be wiped off the earth. But, withal, redemption will not be complete until Amalek will be exterminated.” 4
“The People of the Earth are idolaters, and it has been written about them: Let them be wiped off the face of the earth.” 5
Long-Suffering Israel
Until the blessed day when the Gentiles are exterminated, the Zohar says, Israel must remain in a withered, blighted condition. This is because Gentiles, by the confusion they stir up in the lower levels, prevent the blessings of the Shekina in the upper levels from adequately descending upon Israel.
Someday, however, things will be as they were meant and “man” (meaning Israel) will be given the preeminence he was created to enjoy. Then, says the Kabbalah, “man should be unique and ruler over all.” 6
How will “man” conquer the world?
“Rabbi Jehuda said to him Rabbi Chezkia: “He is to be praised who is able to free himself from the enemies of Israel, and the just are much to be praised who get free from them and fight against them.” Rabbi Chezkia asked, “How must we fight against them?” Rabbi Jehuda said, “By wise counsel thou shalt war against them.” (Proverbs 24:6) “By what kind of war?” “The kind of war that every son of man must war against his enemies. Which Jacob used against Esau—by deceit and trickery wherever possible. They must be fought against without ceasing, until proper order be restored. Thus it is with satisfaction that I say we should free ourselves from them, and rule over them.”” 7
The intention of this passage is clear: world domination.
World Domination
When Jews control the planet, Kabbalists believe, God’s power will be manifest through the Messiah. “The Holy One, blessed be He, will display His force, and exterminate them [Gentiles] from the world.” 8
In that day, “happy will be the lot of Israel, whom the Holy One, blessed be He, has chosen from amongst the Goyim of whom the Scriptures say: “Their work is vanity, it is an illusion at which we must laugh; they will perish when God visits them in his wrath.” At the moment when the Holy One, blessed be He, will exterminate all the Goyim of the world, Israel alone will subsist even as it is written: “The Lord alone will appear great on that day.”” 9
Until then, the Kabbalah has a solemn mission: “It is certain that our captivity will last until the princes of the Gentiles who worship idols are destroyed.” 10To hasten the end of Israel’s captivity, Kabbalah recommends extermination of Gentiles, not simply as a necessity, but as the highest religious duty. Zohar II explains the principles of redemption of the firstborn of an ass by offering a lamb: “The ass means non-Jew, who is to be redeemed by the offering of a lamb, which is the dispersed sheep of Israel. But if he refuses to be redeemed, then break his skull…They should be taken out of the book of the living…” 11
“In the palaces of the fourth heaven are those who lamented over Sion and Jerusalem and all those who destroyed idolatrous nations…and those who killed off people who worshipped idols are clothed in purple garments so that they may be recognized and honored.” 12
To the Kabbalist, even the quaint and commonplace liturgy of the synagogue has a deep, far-reaching significance: “The feast of tabernacles is the period when Israel triumphs over the other peoples of the world. That is why during this feast we seize the loulab and carry it as a trophy to show that we have conquered all the other people known as ‘populace’…” 13Kabbalah Today
How relevant is the Kabbalah to modern Judaism?
Although many Jews today have become so secularized that they have forgotten most of their own beliefs, as well as the literature which is supposed to uphold them, observant Jews, including Conservative, Orthodox and especially ultra-Orthodox, still consider the Kabbalah inspired by God. They believe it stands with the Talmud as the greatest legal authority of Judaism. In fact, passages from the Zohar are read along with the Bible and Talmud as part of the worship service in synagogues every Saturday.The Concise History of Judaism describes the Zohar as “inspired Jewish writings.” The preface to the Soncino edition of the Zohar says: “The Zohar appeals to many Jews in a way that makes them regard it as the most sacred of sacred books! For it mirrors Judaism as an intensely vital religion of the spirit. More overpoweringly than any other book or code, more even than the Bible, does it give to the Jew the conviction of an inner, unseen spiritual universe—an eternal moral order.” (p. 12)
The same source continues, “During the present century there has been a distinct revival of interest…in Kabbalah, and eminent Jewish scholars have attempted to show that these devotees of the mystic side of Jewish life and religion were not, as is popularly supposed, half-crazy visionaries living in a universe peopled by the figments of their own degenerate brains, but men of intellect, scholarship and sound sense who aimed at bringing back to Jewish organized communal life a breath of that mystic sentiment and emotion which are the aromatic life essence of religion, and which are indispensable to Judaism if it is to continue to play its predestined part of bringing mankind “under the wings of the Shekinah.”” (p. 25)
The Kabbalah is thought to be divinely inspired by many Jews because, like the Talmud, it proceeded from the very hub of Jewry—the most eminent rabbis. Many of the greatest Talmudists, from Ben Zakki and Maimonides through the numerous Baal-shems and Talmudists of the 16th through 18th centuries, even to perhaps the greatest rabbi in the world today, Rabbi Steinsaltz of Jerusalem—all have been initiates and practitioners of Kabbalah. They take the Kabbalah very seriously, indeed, as the Word of God.
What about the Kabbalah’s description of Gentiles as animals who must be slaughtered before “order” can be restored? [A New World Order? – ed.] That concept is not a minority opinion but fundamental to how Kabbalah structures God, Israel, and the universe. Thus, we can only assume it provides much of the motivation for the racist laws, war crimes, and homicidal agenda of the state of Israel today. After all, Orthodox, Kabbalah-venerating Judaism is the official position of the government, religious hierarchy, and military of Israel.
Know Your “Friends”
There is now an accelerating interest among conservatives and Christians in what the Koran teaches about “infidels.” Many are eager to discuss how the inner teachings of Islam’s most sacred literature might help explain international Arab terrorism.
Yet, incredibly, the evangelical right has no interest in similar investigations into the sacred, semi-secret teachings of Judaism. No one is curious about how such teachings might help explain not only Israel’s notorious mistreatment of her Arab neighbors but also Jewish power worldwide in government, finance, and media.
This must change. Israel is in the public domain. If Israel expects America to contribute $5 billion annually, sustaining her as the world’s fourth greatest military superpower, then Jews must no longer cry “Anti-semitism!” whenever their most sacred literature, the Talmud and Zohar, are investigated.
If America is to keep from being pawned into even greater military and public relations disasters in the Middle East, we must have an accurate understanding of the beliefs of those we are committed to defend.
Yes, the bombs that fell on Lebanon were made in America. But the hatred and racism behind them were made in Israel.
